Toni Dee has worked with me, better than my PT, and has been so patient with me, and I had worked up my confidence and strength. If it wasn't for Toni Dee, I could not imagine where I would be now. I think it is important, especially for senior women to start getting in shape before it is too late. The owners and the staff are amazing. The equipment is pristine. I love the fact that it's adults only. The co-working space is another huge perk and has everything you need to camp out for the day. The infrared saunas and massage chairs are on point. Parking is easy and plentiful. The views of the bay are amazing. The fitness classes are good, but if you are a yoga buff you might find the schedule a little sparse (I used to be a member of the Bay Club and their class roster is a lot better, IMO). I think this is because there is not a dedicated yoga studio, so it is shared with other group fitness classes. I am no longer a member of Evexia because it's just too far to drive to (I live in Novato). I lived closer I would still be a member. Message to the owners: please, please open a club in Novato! The options here are sorely lacking. The Bay Club has gone downhill and I refuse to pay top dollar to be a member at any of their locations. I know you can do better!

I'm usually greeted by name when I arrive, and the instructors like Jason, Joey, Rachel and Brittni encourage me and know me by name. I believe the instructors here genuinely care about my physical health and they motivate me to challenge myself. If my form is off, they help me adjust it to prevent injury and ensure I'm getting everything out of the workout. They have fitness landmarks and celebrate them like hitting 25 classes, for example. I feel healthy and energized and I look great. It truly feels like I have a team behind me supporting my workouts and I couldn't be happier. I love the fitness community they've created. I only come to this one because of the location when I'm visiting family in the Bay Area. When you think of Sausalito, you think upscale, well-managed, personable, and impressionable. Not really the vibe I got at this Anytime Fitness center. You should have stayed closed until everything was cleaned up and ready for a grand re-opening. I came in the other night when it was pouring rain and, to be honest, I wasn't not really impressed with the new set-up compared to what it was before. When I first walked in, I was immediately met with the smell of sweat, some other funky stale odors, and just an overall feeling of cringe and ick. Let's just say I've been to better gyms that actually make a conscious effort to feel welcoming when you "badge in." The storage cubby area for personal items was overflowing with water bottles, sweaters/jackets, workout towels, and clothes balled up in the corner that have just been left there. Primary source of the smell, I think. No accountability, no apparent care for cleanliness. FAIL!!! A side office door with a "Redlight Sauna Therapy" sign next to it was off the hinges with boxes inside, in plain view, that I can only assume were left there from the recent renovation. Floor mats at the front entrance off to the side that weren't laid down and interconnected, just stacked one on top of the other. The color palette is bland and not energetic. Grey and White? Seriously? Stick with the primary brand and accent colors: Blurple, Purple, White, Red/Orange, and Green/Turquoise. You should know this! Where's the "Inspiration Wall Board" for members to write words of motivation for other members? The brick and mortar "Anytime Fitness" logo wall with supplements is also gone/missing. If this was meant to be a soft opening, you missed the mark entirely. I'm not Joey Swoll, but overall, I'd say "you need to do better." So what's changed, positively? There's a new gym set-up/floor plan from when I was here last year, 2024. The spin class / group training studio is no longer there and has been opened up to include 4 new squat racks, a cable pulley machine, and flat bench rack. On the other side, it's still very much the same with the mirrored wall and free weights as well as the purple turf training area with TRX bands and medicine balls. There are two new treadmills, I think. The track mat/belts feel a little flimsy and could use some tightening. The massage chair room is still there. 4 unisex restrooms, only one has a shower. I loved coming here before the renovation, but now, I'm not so sure. You have a lot to improve on and make better in order to make me ever reconsider coming back here.

For those who are familiar with Hyrox, they have partnership with them which hints that these classes are no joke. Each day of the week is a different style of class, which can focus more on cardio, weight lifting, or both. Although they are a relatively small space, they do make good use of everything. They recently opened up the Hyrox training class on Sundays through Classpass and I really liked that class. It also was a good way to let me know that I have a lot to do if I ever want to do one! The coaches have been friendly and helpful in correcting form. Parking is easy as it is part of a larger plaza with Whole Foods. Overall, BFT East Blithedale is worth checking out if you want an exercise class in the Marin area that really challenges you.

The ladies at the reception barely greeted me each time I came in. Then The Portal abruptly canceled use of class pass and now offer a 180 monthly yoga option for a pack of classes. The yoga space is small and holds about 15-20 people max. If you want to use their wellness services you cannot pay a la cart to do something any longer, and have to apply join for $450 a month (!!!) to have access these amenities. The 2 cold plunges and saunas are single use and not communal. Really bad design choice. The concept was a great one, but reality of the space and the functionality is not - the price does not make any sense. This is more than you'd pay for a very very high end gym. Why not offer any communal wellness spaces besides the tiny yoga space? The place has almost a cult-y vibe to it, and is astronomically priced for the size. The vibe does not feel inclusionary at all. Huge bummer all around.
