I went here to sign the paperwork for my estate planning. I was greeted and offered a beverage while I waited. I declined and sat in the waiting area. I was surprised to see they had dog treats at the desk, so I took one for one of my dogs. I was there to sign paperwork with a notary, as I had completed my estate planning virtually with an attorney. The notary, I am sure she has a title other than notary, was friendly and warm. Poor service, poor communication, reps who don't know, and a website that is not linked to Axos bank well enough to post correct data. They claim expert tax management/ planning, but failed 100%. I quit them in 11 months. Scary to entrust your life savings, everything you worked for, saved for, for 50+ years, to have them act in total disregard. On-boarding reps are really salesman to the max. Stay away. there are many good planners out there. They manage trillions compared to Trajans 2 billion. RUN, RUN, RUN. read more

I moved my money over a year ago as they stopped providing personalized services. Still get emails texts and meeting requests from them. I called them and they were ready to set up a meeting to review my account when I asked the value. That's when he realized I moved my money. Trajan Wealth had me fill out an online form and when I met with the advisor they asked the same questions again. I said "I have already answered these questions online." The agent went to his computer and never informed me of the outcome. Then the agent informed me "This is not a good fit". I do not see how these questions would be relevant in investing my money. Pretty disappointed in this company. We had our money with them for about 4 years and unless we were pushing for changes or information nothing ever happened. In fact during our last conversation the main adviser we worked with made a comment about a trade one of his other team members completed 9 months earlier during one of our calls and the adviser commented that "He wouldn't have done that." We invested over a million dollars with Trajan for about 4 years, but have not been happy and have recently moved our money to Vanguard. No one has noticed at Trajan, apparently, because no one has contacted us about it. We experienced a "bait and switch" situation with Trajan. We originally met with an advisor,Trevor, who told us he would be our in-house adviser and we would be able to sit down with him at least bi-annually. We liked the idea of a local, personal advisor. Shortly after that, we could never get him on the phone, and the secretary kept connecting us to their "portfolio management team." Long story short, they switched us to a long distance, phone or email advisor, who never contacted us. They never informed us of this. When we finally figured this out, the guy who was our supposed advisor had quit, and when we tried to contact him to transfer some funds, it took weeks to get through to a different advisor. We finally did have a phone meeting with an advisor, but haven't heard from him since. If you only need phone or email advisement, I recommend you switch to Vanguard for their low fees and excellent reputation. You'll get better service. So far we have been happy with the switch, and are only paying l/3 the fee we had with Trajan. read more

This outfit is definitely looking out for themselves first and not the client. They are not communicating in regards to investors and their accounts, strategies or planning. I placed a considerable sum, over 100k in to an annuity and the first two years netted me a whopping $66 and some change. Never got any consultation or return of a phone call to speak on the situation. Never got any reporting of my accounts status of my investments, the only prominent thing I found when I investigated the situation for my self was the bloody fees they were raking in from me. Their ads say keep repeating FIDUCIARY but they act in their best interest. Ask for ALL your assets list, and charge "management" fee based on the total, even though you own your home, vehicles, and you have a broker you're keeping for stocks, so the only "management" was cash. Wanted tax planning/assistance they don't have it.... outsourced. Wanted trust fund advise and assistance....their attorney and it's a separate fee. If you need complete management of all your assets, they might be ok, but if you have just a few specifics, stay away. I'm planning to leave Trajan. ​I haven't been contacted by anyone at Trajan regarding my account health, my investments, what's going on with them, or what the go forward plan is for over a year. Plenty of emails about ordering pie or trying to sell me on the estate planning branch but, anything relating to my actual account has to be initiated by me and, typically, I get canned answers anyone could give while speaking each time with a different advisor. I reached out trying to get some advise about an investment i was interested in making and it took two weeks of emails from different 'advisors' only to be told they could not advise me about it. They haven't lost my money so, there is that at least. They also haven't found a way to grow it much. Overall, they're performance did not align with their advertising. UPDATE: Jeff J - Trajan's owner, reached out to me directly. We exchanged messages and had a phone call to discuss the issue which occurred and I see where the communications breakdown occurred and now understand what happened to cause the Trajan representative to think the issue was closed. We also discussed getting on a dedicated communications schedule and, with this call I feel better about where things stand and so, am upgrading my review. read more

I rarely do yelp Reviews and when I say rarely I mean this is my second one in over three years. However, I felt it was the least I could do to show my appreciation. About three years ago I unfortunately made some poor financial decisions without fact checking the financial person I was talking to. I was mis-sold a product and advised of a financial strategy that wasn't in my best interest but was in theirs. Throughout the last year after reading into and analyzing statements I started to ask questions however they were unable to give me direct answers or just ignored my attempt to contact and get answers. It has been an emotionally and mentally exhausting year trying to figure out my financial situation with personal experience or knowledge. Being a single mom making sure I am planning for my daughters future and taking care of her is my main focus and feeling like I had no guidance or way out was discouraging and very upsetting. However, a friend told me to go to the Dave Ramsey site and get connected with a financial pro in my area. He said that if I could trust anyone, it would be them. Immediately after putting in my information my phone was ringing with the five local pro's in my area reaching out to get more information and to see if they could help. However Paul Kendall stood out! His message was very sincere and humorous and I couldn't help but feel his intention was truly to help which was an unfamiliar feeling for me when it came to my finances. He followed up with an email and asked when would be a good time to meet. Unfortunately, it is hard for me to miss work so I was hesitant to ask if he could meet with me on a weekend but he insisted on meeting on the weekend if it was best for me. The meeting was about an hour long and there was never a moment I questioned his knowledge or intension. He was VERY informative, was willing to take time to answer every question I had and to explain everything in as much detail as I wanted. Helped me understand my current financial situations and came up with a strategy to handle them. I cannot express my gratitude for his accommodations with my schedule, his ability to explain everything and guide me through a course of action, and his willingness to continue to help me figure it out. read more

Their platform is not user friendly and received very poor service from Trajan staff. The advisor was late to appointments multiple times and their client services team made mistakes when transferring my accounts over. I write reviews only when I am completely satisfied or dissatisfied. I've had others in the "Financial Advisory" world (rhymes with Rudential) try to guide me to make the best investment decisions for me. It turns out I haven't quite "wasted" my money, but they steered me in a direction which benefited THEM a bit more. Unfortunately, I am stuck with the investment for 7 years. BUT...FORTUNATELY I started working with RAND at TRAJAN WEALTH. My previous broker received higher commission from a product that was sold to me, when another, nearly identical product existed with far lower fees over the long-run. Rand was the person that disclosed this information to me. There are sooo many choices out there...I'm clueless, so I DEPEND on someone else's knowledge to guide me. Rand was just the person I needed. He took the time to explain the different options that were available, and wasn't just after a quick signature on the dotted-line. I now get the difference between an 'standard investment planner' and an investment planner that is a 'FIDUCIARY'. Fiduciaries have YOUR best interests at the forefront. Rand was the person that explained to me that I could purchase a product that was 'nearly identical' in the results to the product that "Rudential" sold me, but with far lower commissions/fees. I got a letter from the IRS (yikes!) about a 2 year old tax return processed by Trajan Wealth. After many hours of review by experts in the company, the chain of events that led to the letter were explained to me in great detail.
