Jacqueline and I had somewhat similar experiences it seems. Yes, Tram's services are reasonably priced. But after a hair color gone wrong, I went back to have Tram fix it, and she charged me the same amount I previously paid AGAIN. When she first suggested I do a little color, I was very clear- subtle! I could not have used the word "subtle" more times than I did, I said it over and over. I didn't want a huge color change. I wanted SUBTLE. I liked my hair when she first finished it- sure, it looked different and had just been cut and blown dry. I quickly realized over the next 24 hours that I wasn't even a brunette anymore....I was totally blonde. Huge streaks of blonde that were so overpowering, friends would notice it as soon as I walked in the door. Still 10 ft+ away from me, my friend's husband said with excitement, "Oh! You are blonde now!" Honestly, that wasn't even the biggest issue- when I went back to Tram within a week and a half or so, I showed her how much of my roots were showing after she did the color. It looked as if my color had been done over two months ago. I'm not an expert in hair color, which is why I asked for SUBTLETY when it came to my color, but I did know that my roots shouldn't show that much. Because of the blonde streaks (or stripes, really) and the roots, I feel that Tram should have made it right. She's very nice and I was actually pleased with my cut on the first visit. But, the rest of the experience...and the money I ended up spending unwillingly after two separate visits...make me disappointed in the services offered. I liked that the salon was on Greenville since it was convenient to many restaurants. The parking for the salon is behind the building and there was ample parking space. When I first arrived, Tram was very sweet and placed me in the chair immediately. She asked if I wanted anything and was very attentive to my needs. I informed her that I wanted to color my hair and that my hair was damaged from a previous bad hair experience. Tram brought the color book and advised what would work for my hair and I valued her honesty. I appreciated how Tram took her time with me, didn't rush me, and tried not to sell me on products or other services that I did not need. I loved the fact that I can text her whenever I need to schedule an appointment or if I have concerns with my hair, since she is one text away. Coming from LA, I have spent upwards of $200 for a color and cut, however Tram's fee are much more reasonable than that. She gave me a great haircut and did something I've never had done before: a dry cut! She said she likes cutting hair dry so she can see how it lays and I loved the outcome.
