I found Tram via Yelp and I am so glad I found her! I came to get a bridesmaid updo done for a wedding and overall I had a good experience. Tram is super cute and stylish and is friendly. I initially showed her a picture of what I wanted done and it turned out it didn't look that great. I was worried but then Tram had another suggestion and styled my hair into a gorgeous chignon! First time to meet Tram. I let her know that I want either an asymmetrical Bob or (not too short) pixie. She recommended that we try a bob first. Good sign #1: she is not a scissor-happy stylist who will just cut-away my hair. Before she cut big portions, she always checked with me if I am okay with the length. Good sign #2: she makes sure there is mutual understanding of desired length. While she was doing her finishing touches, she asked me about how I usually style my hair, what tools I have at home, etc. then she showed me how to maintain and style my hair. Good sign #3. She offers good "after-sales" support to ensure her product is continuously appreciated. I recently moved to Texas from Ny. I was in search for a new hair salon that not only does hair but lash lifts, waxing, & lash tint. I made an appt for a lash lift & tint that was recommend by my stylist at the same salon Tram works at. Today was my first encounter with Tram and it was amazing. She did my waxing for my eyebrows, lip, & under arms. Then she started with the lash lift. She walked me through the process and explained when doing the lash lift there are two types of rollers - smaller and larger one. She explained the look each one gives. She analyzed my lashes and made the recommendation of the smaller roller. This catches the lift right at the lash hair line. It gives it more of a dramatic look, which I didn't mind at all. I have thin but very long lashes. Once we decided the roll she then explained how long each step would take. This I thought was great customer service. She was very interactive with me and made me feel welcomed. In addition to making me feel welcomed, I came with my daughter that is 10 years old. My daughter waited in the waiting area and Tram would check up on my daughter and make sure she was ok. In-between the different steps Tram shared my daughter is ok and she would be checking up on her. That made me feel really good. The salon staff is friendly, they offer beverages while you are there and the salon is very clean. The receptionist never kept still I noticed and always kept sweeping the floors, dusting the shelves, cleaning the chairs, and hair dryers. I would highly recommend Tram for lashes and even hair although I didn't work with her directly on hair. However I noticed how she was very tentative with your expectations for hair. All around 5 stars for Tram and the salon. read more

I recently moved to Dallas from LA and I was desperate to find a stylist who could handle difficult Asian hair. I'm an Asian guy and as everyone who is Asian and guy knows, our hair is notoriously difficult to control unless it's cut properly. I like to keep my hair mid-length with minimal styling product. It's the messy, styled look. Like you just woke up looking this good. Anyway, Tram does a great job. The best I've ever had done with my hair. She does a great razor-cut, which is how to get that textured look even with difficult hair like mine, which is stiff and coarse. I use a very tiny amount of product to get it looking just right, and that's it. My hair looks casually styled without being super-hard from too much gel or wax in it. I use the matte shaping wax, like a tiny tiny amount on my fingertips. It all starts with a great haircut. Tram delivers. read more

Tram is amazing! I came in for highlights+ trim around 4 on a Sunday. The shop was supposed to close at 6, but my hair wasn't ready yet. Tram stayed an hour late just to finish my hair... on top of that, it was her birthday! I had Tram for my hair coloring appointment. I wanted something different to my hair so I showed a picture. I was told that my picture would require my hair to be bleached or a balayage which I did not want, and that was fine. I then picked a color from the catalog at the salon. Any color I wanted or picked I was told that it would require it to be bleached or it's too light. In my opinion if a client wants something done then that's completely their say, the stylist has every right to tell the client if it requires something else but should not tell bring down the client with every color they pick. But I wanted the color on all of my hair. When i was done, 85% of my hair was my natural hair color and only the top of my hair was the color from the catalog. I also asked for my hair dead straight, with no volume and it was barely straight. Everyone noticed that the color was the same throughout my hair except for the top. I was very unsatisfied with the work done on my hair. I'm sure that she is a wonderful stylist I have no doubt about that, I was just disappointed with my hair in the end. I was called back which was very thoughtful but so chose not to because I didn't want to keep dying my hair especially when it hadn't even been a day. read more

Tram has been cutting my hair and my son's for the past year and she is great! She is good at cutting the way you tell her and giving any advice if you ask.
