I read the great reviews of this place, so I thought I would give it a try. When I pulled up front, the place didn't look too inviting from the street, but once I went inside, they welcomed me with a warm welcome and a smile. Everyone was so nice! Very clean and professional. I highly recommend Tranie nails. Everyone that works there is part of the family. I've been there twice now, once for a gel manicure and once for a regular manicure, both are great. They do get pretty busy, so make an appointment if you can, but it's not necessary. Were it possible to give 50 stars, this place would get it. A small shop with a relaxing atmosphere and the kindest, friendliest staff! Jimmy is ah-MAY-zing! We had pleasant conversation, which flowed easily during the HOUR-LONG TREATMENT! The massage was exactly what I needed after this week & my post-half-marathon hooves look more like feet now! I've had my fair share of pedicures before, but never before have I felt more pampered. Never again will these little piggies get tortured in a corporate chain, where they rush your treatment, draw blood and act as if you don't exist above the knee. The reputation here is well earned. Tranie was so nice, I told her I like nail art and she asked if I wanted to pick something out. I told her I couldn't get anything fancy because I was worried I'd just ruin her work during an up coming move. She was a-ok and even gave me free shellac top coat to help protect my nails from the move! I had to come in at a later time than i hoped because they mostly work on appointment here instead of walk in... But that's a good sign. She was very professional and told my she likes to ask first time customers lot of questions about shape, length, aesthetic, etc because that way its right! Loved it! read more

First time here. Very efficient fast and clean. I went in for a mani + pedi. Tranie's nieces did my nails simultaneously. Jimmy was friendly and would make conversation from the other table every now and then. And Trainie came by to check on the girls' work and introduce herself. They have a UV light nail dryer, flat screen TVs and plenty of polish colors to choose from. The surrounding neighborhood is a little sketchy, if you are walking there from the bus. Tranie is the best every time I go here she actually talks to me and doesn't just go about her work without saying a word. You do need an appointment and need to take the couple of minutes out of your day to call. I have never gotten a pedicure here but her husband is the bomb he's always chatting with the pedi clients about anything and everything. Tranie is the only one at the salon who does acrylic so it's good because you know exactly what type of work to expect. this is a good place you can book up for a few friends at a time and take over the little salon. read more

There's a reason this salon is so highly rated and I'm so glad I found it! I've been to salons in Beverly Hills that didn't compare...it's a smaller shop which is perfect. No loud tv's on all kinds of different channels & there's even a room for the kids which is a genius idea. Jimmy gave me the best leg and foot massage without charging $15 and setting a rediculous timer...I've always hated that. I had a pedicure with a pink & white full set and was done in an hour. Based on my experience, I would highly encourage appointments just because the salon is so popular. Tranie has been in business 18 years and I hope around even longer! read more

I just went here this morning for a $35 mani/pedi. I chose this place based on the rave reviews. I usually get a mani/pedi a couple of times a year, so when I do get them, I choose a quality place. I was disappointed by my previous place because I felt that my leg massage was rushed, and there were flawed areas of my pedicure. Well, I must say that I was so impressed by the service at Tranie nails that I will be back again. It is a husband and wife team and they were both working on my pedi and mani at the same time. My leg and hand massages were WONDERFUL, they took their time with it and I was in heaven! I can't speak highly enough about my experience here. It is different from larger nail salons.
