Sherry is by far one of the best masseuses they have on staff and that's who I request most often as long as she has availability. Sherry is super accommodating, asking often if I'm comfortable with the pressure that she's applying, checking that the temperature of the stones and towels she's using are okay and overall making sure that I'm comfortable with the experience as a whole. Front-of-house staff are friendly over the phone as well as in-person and the facility, from the lobby to the restroom to the private massage rooms, are clean and comfortable. I never write reviews, but i had to after my experience. Was on a road trip and driving through the area when my sciatic nerve was acting up and causing radiating pain to the point I could drive no longer. Stopped by on a whim as it was nearby and requested a last-minute massage. Though I had to wait a bit as i was a walk-in boy, was I glad I did. The masseuse did an amazing job and knew exactly how to address my pain. It was painful but a good kind of pain that was addicting at the end. When it was over, I felt relief and was almost in tears because my lower back felt much better, and my leg was able to move freely. Was able to drive another 3+ hours to reach my destination. My mother purchased a gift card to this spa for Christmas. Jan 10, I had really bad neck and back pain so I called. I was able to get in same-day. I discussed my concerns with their technician and cupping paired with a deep-tissue was our solution. When I ask for deep tissue, I mean it. I was asked several times if I liked the pressure, which I appreciate. Being such a little thing, I didn't know how well she'd execute consistency. I'm writing today because I was extremely impressed and am a returning customer. When I needed her to adjust, she did. She also spent extra time on me, because she could tell I desperately needed it. Given that very few places offer online scheduling, I gave Tranquil Garden a second shot. This time, the software worked and I was able to schedule without incident. Jim was my therapist and he did a great job. He checked on the pressure multiple times, and when he realized just how tense I was, he recommended a hot stone add-on in a helpful way, not coming across as "upselling" or being pushy, which I appreciate. He was right, the stones helped melt away the tension and the add-on was well worth a small additional charge. This is 4 instead of 5 stars due to the front office. I was there for a massage, to relax. When I was checked in, I filled out the form, returned it to the desk, sat back down and closed my eyes. The gentleman at the desk kept trying to talk to me. Myself, sister and niece went for Swedish and foot reflexology massage sessions. Starting with the massage, I had to tell the therapist at least 4 to 5 times "to hard". She would cut back to very light and then she kept increasing until I had to say, "to hard", The massage was not relaxing; it kept me tense, anticipating pain. My sister and niece also had to keep telling their therapists the pressure was too hard. I informed the therapist about having tarsal tunnel surgery on my foot, Achilles tendon surgery on my ankle, and my knees are bone on bone. I was so upset when she pushed down with all her weight on my ankle. Then she did the same thing to my knees. Now I am waiting for my orthopedic doctor's office to open so I can schedule an appointment because of the pain. My knee feels like it wants to give out. When the massage was finally over, I was so weak and dizzy. That lasted about an hour or so. I had to find a place to sit and rest for about an hour. I could not even walk a straight line. When the massage started there was a knock on the door, I heard a man's voice. Then I looked over a few minutes later and noticed the door was left halfway open during the whole time of my massage, that was not relaxing. I told the others about my experience when we got to the car. They had the same unsafe practice of the door being left open. Also they put them in the same room even though there was another room available. That night I could not sit back on a chair without hurting. The next morning my husband noticed all the bruises. I have bruises from head to toe. This was a horrible and painful experience. My husband took pictures of all the bruises to share if need be. My sister also has bruises. When I went to pay after the massage the therapist held the receipt down to show me and tell me twice the amounts of tips. The therapist held the receipt while I filled in tip and signed. I was extremely intimidated, and the painful service did not deserve any money. I will have to pay more for doctors to fix the damage. I called yesterday to speak with the owner, had to leave a massage. If I don't hear from him in a week, I will definitely look into other options. I do not want this type of care to happen to anyone else! read more

I have been here once before and had an AMAZING experience. Perfect massage. Filled out all the paperwork like normal. It was seamless and enjoyable. So of course i went back for another massage. This time was different. I left with more pain than I had before and couldn't even sleep on my back after what happened. The therapist put some menthol or numbing type cream on my back afterwards so of course I didn't notice how over worked it was till I got home. I had noticeable bruising by the time I made it home and the next day it looked like this. At this moment I am writing this review with the owner sitting at his desk. He is the one who replies to this poor reviews and is unhelpful. I came back today to get a refund due to the services leaving me in pain, not a nice "tranquil" experience. He has issued me to go a sit and wait an unknown amount of time for someone else to show up and speak to me. He did not go get this person or reach out to them so I am just idly waiting with no information. I was polite and firm on my wanting of a refund and in wanting knowledge of a refund policy. He stated there is no refund policy. So although he is the owner I have gotten no assistance and have been brushed off entirely. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU ARE OKAY WITH UNFORESEEN RESULTS. Also apologies to the woman who massaged me. She was very kind and informative and truthfully although she left me injured, I would not be making this review if the owner was not so disrespectful to me at the front desk and actively unhelpful. As well as talking about me like i'm not even present in the room, Having the manager Sherry pull me into a private room where they had to inspect the injuries instead of believing me and issuing the refund based of the images I provided. Also while examining the bruise I asked the manager Sherry to please not touch it and seconds after began poking it hard and I lunged away. After all of this and alittle more back and forth I was eventually issued my partial refund. If you are okay with the risk of inconsistent service and results then by all means, this place is fine. It's clean and affordable. And again my first visit was PERFECT. Someone at the front desk even let me tour the salt room the first time just cause I was curious! But after this experience I will never be back. PLEASE PLEASE KEEP IN MIND, IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THE SERVICE OR UNSATISFIED YOU WILL HAVE TO JUMP THROUGH HOOPS TO BE ISSUED A REFUND!! Per the owner's statement, "Just because it hurts and you're unsatisfied with the results doesn't mean you just get your money back." Sir if you're reading this. Began talking down to me after I asked him what type of massage they booked me for. He asked me if I wanted to complain and I said, all I want to do is pay. He raised his voice and said "give me your card." Once I pulled out my gift certificate, HE SNATCHED IT OUT OF MY HANDS and said BYE while waving his hands in my face. I'm going to start by saying I never leave reviews about places. Even if I have a bad experience, I just don't go back rather than publicly saying anything. This is the first time I had such a bad experience at a place of business to feel the need to warn people. STAY AWAY from this place! I went in for a relaxing hot stone massage. I've had these before at other places and loved them, but wanted to find somewhere closer to home so gave this place a try. The massage therapist was clearly trying to push down on me as hard as she could. It felt like she was trying to do some sort of chiropractic treatment combined with a deep tissue massage which is not want I was wanting. She didn't speak English very well; so my attempts at getting her to lighten up on the pressure didn't do much of anything. I was wanting the massage to be over within the first five minutes because she was pushing on me so hard and barely lightening up. I kept hoping it would get better, but it never really did. Then when I went to pay, one of the other workers was standing over me trying to pressure me for a tip whilst I'm trying to figure out what the crap just happened. I still regret leaving a tip at all. It's safe to say I felt worse walking out of there than I did before walking into this place. I've gotten massages before. I recognize that sometimes when you have bad knots or haven't gotten a massage in a while, you can wind up with some muscle soreness afterwards. That's not what this is. The pain I was put in after this massage was far worse than a little soreness. The massage therapist genuinely did not know what she was doing. She was pushing on my back so hard, I struggled to breath at times. She popped my back multiple times throughout the session a feat which has never happened in any massage I've gotten before. I wasn't even going in for back problems. My back was not prone to being popped nor were my muscles particularly tight. I simply wanted to be pampered as a treat for Mother's Day. Not only did I not feel relaxed, I genuinely left there feeling like I had just gotten jumped and robbed. Furthermore, the woman was very much overstepping my boundaries. I'm used to having massages and expect to have a stranger touching all over me. I'm not even someone who has a particularly large personal bubble. But there was just something about the way this woman touched me and didn't seem to recognize or question that she may be crossing my personal boundaries that left me feeling violated. In my previous experiences, the masseuse would either be fairly cautious of not going to more private areas or would say something along the lines of telling me to let her know if I was uncomfortable with any of it or asking if it was ok before going too close to certain areas. This woman was literally pulling my panties down some when giving me the massage. It was very awkward and crossing a line I wasn't ok with. Before booking with this place, I highly suggest you do a Google search for literally any where else. I would rather drive into Nashville & back during rush hour traffic than go back here. Biggest red flag was discovering the door had been left open, I thought it was odd that everything sounded so loud outside. I finally said something to question why the door was open. When I picked my head up to look, the masseuse put my head down and rushed to close the door (she didn't say anything as she didn't speak English, which I'm normally empathetic to). The services were fantastic! I have nothing but great things to say about them! As for the payment portion, my husband made my appointment for me as apart of my birthday present. When he made the appointment, a credit card number was required to go on file. When I went to check out, they told me they couldn't charge the card on file. The purpose of that was to hold it for an appointment. This makes ZERO sense as they charge the card on file if you fail to make it to your appointment.
