My in-laws gave us a gift certificate for a couples' massage as a combined birthday/Christmas present (January birthdays). We decided to upgrade our experience - I had an 80 minute hot stone massage, and my husband had an 80 minute CBD-ease massage. We also added the hand therapy treatment for dry hands (a must in the winter). I had an amazing massage with 'A.' I have not had a massage in almost 10 years, but I would say this one is in my top 3. I didn't realize how tender some of my muscles were until she started working. I really enjoyed the hand therapy treatment and the hot stones. I'm almost certain my husband fell asleep at some point, because I heard him lightly snoring! Scheduling was easy and everything was on time. We left feeling incredibly relaxed. I am seriously considering becoming a member... That's how much I enjoyed my experience with TDM. I was gifted a certificate for my birthday and I'm so glad that it introduced me to this spa. I haven't gotten massages often in the past. Maybe I'm averaging 1 every 3-5 years? But, now, life is lifing and I'm getting older, so... self-care is not an option. It was very easy to book the appt for myself and my BFF. A lot through text, which I appreciate. Ellen was very friendly for the first initial call.. and when she had to change the time of our appt, she was gracious enough to allow us a free upgrade, which I'm so glad that we did! I am sure there is a big difference between just the Swedish and the CBD/stone massage that we received. Amy was really great! Just the right amount of pressure to get out some serious kinks. It is also unfortunate to fire someone because of one bad review. She had mentioned she had a following and she was one of your best Theropist. ‍ If this was the case, why fire her because of one bad review? I would welcome a refund, and to try one more time, with another Theropist. Of course, I would only try a foot massage instead of an, "upper body massage," this time around. To be cautious. I really wanted to like the place! The vibe of the interior, the environmentally friendly facility and owner are super awesome. If you want to have your whole back readjusted, request Mac! I let him know my shoulders and lower back are super tight since I sit all day for work, and he knew exactly what to do. He focused on those two areas and really worked on them. I felt so loose afterward. The space itself is gorgeous, with beautiful decor. Very zen and calms you instantly. My honey and I were visiting the Princeton area for a little weekend getaway. We wanted to do something special and romantic and decided we wanted a couples massage. On the day of our massages, we waited for our massage therapists in a very relaxing area. When they arrived, they asked if we had a gender preference and they told us which room they'd be in. I honestly wasn't expecting to be separated for our massage and was disappointed that they didn't have an area for couples to be together for a full body massage. Wonderful massage by Cici. She is strong and was able to work out all my knots (built up over 2 years of pandemic hunched over my laptop!!). I stopped in the other day to pick up my spa Kit. You call when you arrive, get your temperature checked and then can enter. I was greeted by Ellen, the owner who was lovely. She took her time to explain what was in each kit and answer all of my questions. She was never pushy and made me feel very comfortable. 5 stars!! I had the most wonderful experience today at Tranquility Den Massage. My MT was Michael. He was so helpful & started out with a little stretch for my back "tightness". Michael listened well and was able to effectively "get" all my achy spots without fail (and spots i didn't even know needed it!!). I loved Michaels technique which was a combination of Swedish with lots of pressure points/pressure in some areas. Michael was wonderful and provided me with relief in my neck, back and feet!!! I highly recommend Michael for emphasis on pressure points and a really really good massage!! Also, Ellen is wonderful!! I NEVER leave any reviews anywhere, but after leaving Tranquility Den I had to further improve their reviews with my own. Firstly, my name is Mike and I came in yesterday at 5 pm and upon entering I was greeted by a wonderful staff member. Kind, welcoming and easy to talk and connect with! Setting up an appointment was super easy and I was squeezed in a few days later. The only thing I wish I had learned was more about my options as far as therapists, the different types of massages and packages that they offer as I am new to the world of massages, but that was at no fault of the business but due to my rush of wanting a massage and relax!! Mac was wonderful, I have only just started receiving massages over the last few months and have been going to hand and stone, this felt like a who different massage. Mac took his time, listened to my needs and gave an overall wonderful experience. I left with my shirt on backwards as I was so relaxed I didn't even pay mind! Relaxed me the remainder of the night. I am 100% going to find myself coming back here and I hope to learn of the other male therapists names and methods they are able to provide as everyone's touch is different, in hopes to find myself requesting someone each time i come! I am disappointed with the way my recent appointment was handled. I usually call in the day I need appointment and this time Ellen decided to advance book my appointment 2 weeks in advance I asked if I will be reminded as I knew they had 24 hr cancellation and she said we will remind I get a reminder at 6 pm the eve before I had the 2 pm massage scheduled. I messaged her right away I need to reschedule as I was sick, she did not acknowledge and I called her 1st thing in morning and she started yelling at me showing me attitude and blaming me for not putting appointments in my phone. With her attitude so bad I decided to end my membership and she says it's a 12 month commitment so please be ware of what you are getting into. I was shocked how Ellen kept blaming me for attitude and behavior when I tried my level best to inform her in advance to cancel she was going on all about her having to pay her people regardless of canceling and my point is simple you should remind people they have booked appointments before 24 hrs so they have opportunity to cancel. She keeps denying things but i wouldn't have signed up if I knew this is how they plan to treat me later. Highly disappointed. Now I am stuck to take this service until sep 2023 read more

Omg--I love this place. Today I had my 4th den massage since they opened, honestly don't know why I haven't been back sooner. Here, I go in, am greeted warmly, get a deep massage that leaves me in zen mode. Backstory: most of the massages I've had have sucked--cold rooms, cold metal tables, and having more pain afterwards--seriously. Same for my husband. This place? Hot tea, warm foot bath, towels, heated barley neck wraps, feeling FANTABULOUS afterwards. Ellen has tons of specials too, but I need to make this a monthly retreat--great masseuses who break through your neck tension (Swedish, shiatsu, Russian), then sooth your legs and feet because, well, that's included. Today I went in for my first Den massage with Matt, coordinated by the wonderful Ellen. I had the most amazing experience from beginning to end. The space is beautiful, wonderfully designed and immediately comfortable. Ellen creates the kind of hospitable environment they write about in textbooks: she answered all of my questions about the products in the store, offered me hot tea when I arrived, and made space for any questions I had about the massage. My massage with Matt was amazing. I got the deep tissue for a stressed out back and neck. He was exceptionally attentive, wonderfully thorough, and really holistic with his approach. I am someone who responds well to guided breathing and meditation which was absolutely a part of Matt's practice. I am so grateful I was led to this place. Update: Ellen reached out to us and contacted us and has done her best to try and issue a refund and make the situation right. She explained that it was a mix-up with a new employee and that they made a mistake in charging us twice. We appreciate her taking the time to reach out to us to try and fix this situation. Original: Had a pretty bad experience here the other day. The massages were fine, and we left tips for them but upon trying to leave they kept trying to charge us for both the price of the massage and to use the groupon that we had bought. This confusion lasted for about 10 minutes at which point the owner told us that the groupons were only valid for new customers even though my wife had called before the appointment and confirmed that the groupon would work for the couples massage. We also told her that I was a new customer and had never been here before but she still said we had to pay the full regular price and take it up with groupon which we begrudgingly did and left. Upon contacting groupon they said that they actually charged our groupon (which means they used our groupon to get paid by groupon) as well as charging our credit card the full price. So we essentially payed over 300 dollars for this couples massage. We have filed complaints with groupon and the credit card. read more

I have had severe damage to my body from an accident and haven't had relief until I started going to tranquility den. The spa is owned by an amazing entrepreneur and lifestyle designer Ellen. This place is beautiful inside. Every detail is thought out. I had a wonderful massage with Min, who applied Chinese acupressure to a Swedish and hot stone massage. It was relaxing and I immediately wanted more. My only issue is the massage wasn't exactly 60 minutes. My appointment was for 3, and I arrived before then. I didn't go into the room until around 3:10, plus time to undress, the massage didn't start until a few minutes later. It ended at 4. I had a groupon so maybe that's why? I'm in my seventh month of pregnancy and have been feeling super sore all the time. I really wanted to try a prenatal massage but was too nervous about Covid safety. That's why I was thrilled to find out that Tranquility Den offers outdoor prenatal massages! Although it was on the pricier side (about $120 with tax, before tip), it was 100% worth it. I felt safe the whole time: I had to fill out a Covid questionnaire the night before, then have my temperature taken before entering the waiting room. I sat in the waiting room for a few minutes, where the owner and one other guest were fully masked. Then the massage itself was excellent. Simcha is a very talented therapist and knew exactly how to deal with my sore hips and thighs. The massage took place in the fenced-in area just outside the spa, which felt totally private despite being fully open above and with plenty of airflow through (the fence was the latticed kind where I could see through from my side, but the people on the other side couldn't see in). The therapist and I both wore masks throughout the massage, which wasn't a problem. The owner said that she would soon be offering semi-outdoor massages in the shopping center's pagoda, which will allow them to take place in the rain or snow (it is covered but has large windows that open on all sides). I'm excited to take advantage of this and try another massage as my pregnancy progresses. Because of the cost, I probably wouldn't be able to do this every week, but I wish I could!
