Unfortunately, compared to our first couple of visits, our experiences gradually started going downhill. I will absolutely give credit where it's due -- the drinks and craftsmanship here are excellent. The bartenders really know their craft, make great recommendations, and we've had some seriously amazing cocktails here. Unfortunately, on multiple visits we started to feel increasingly unwelcome. It's honestly difficult to explain because there wasn't necessarily one specific interaction I can point to, but there was a noticeable feeling that we just weren't wanted there. Whether it was certain interactions with staff or simply the overall energy around us, we both picked up on it more than once. I don't know if it was because we didn't necessarily fit the typical demographic or vibe of the crowd there, and I don't want to assume anyone's intentions. I can only speak to how we felt, and unfortunately, we repeatedly left feeling uncomfortable and out of place. It's genuinely such a shame because we loved this bar so much in the beginning. It has such a fun atmosphere, and the cocktails are fantastic. We have some really great memories from our earlier visits, but after feeling this way on multiple occasions, we've decided we won't be returning.

The live band was entertaining, everyone was having fun, and I spent a good part of the night dancing. The staff was one of the highlights of the evening. They were friendly, welcoming, laughing, dancing, and genuinely looked like they enjoyed being there. Their positive energy made the whole experience even better. I ordered the onion rings, and they were delicious--golden, crispy, and full of flavor. It's classic bar food done right. I didn't get any pictures of the food because I was too busy enjoying the night, but they were definitely worth ordering. This was my first visit, even though my family has been here many times before, and now I understand why. Between celebrating with my family and coworkers, the live music, the dancing, the friendly staff, and the great atmosphere, we had an absolute blast. The video clips I'm sharing aren't the greatest because I was dancing while recording, but they still capture how much fun everyone was having.

However, if you buy something at Westgate and give them the parking receipt, they will remove the $15 from your bill. My friends enjoy happy hour prices at Bar Louie right across from the entrance to the area arena and get the $15 of their bill. I prefer to simply park slightly farther out by the Outlets and walk. I also find it saves time leaving after the concert also. The closer $15 parking lots do not have workers after the concert helping to make the traffic flow efficiently. It took over 20 minutes for them to get out of the lot nearest the stadium.

I was given the new GM's name and phone number, but despite multiple calls and text messages, I was completely ghosted. This left me scrambling to find another venue with only one month before an important family celebration. No customer should be left hanging like that after booking an event. This was actually my second chance giving Lola's another opportunity because I genuinely like the vibe of the place. The first time, my group of only six people was still enjoying drinks when staff told us we had to leave at 11:00 p.m. because there wasn't enough business to justify staying open. That experience was disappointing, but I decided to give them another shot anyway. Sadly, after this experience, I won't be returning. Great atmosphere means very little when communication, professionalism, and customer service are consistently lacking.

Didn't have much to add to Gaithersburg, MD or Springfield, VA location except that I had my 32nd birthday party in Springfield, the first location in the DC area. Prior to moving to the DC area in 2011, I lived in Phoenix. I had been to all 3 Valley locations Glendale (Westgate), Phoenix (Desert Ridge), & Scottsdale (Fashion Square Mall) [Scottsdale one no longer exists]. My 1st visit to a Yard House ever was this Glendale location in 2008. My friend invited me to this location citing their great happy hour. I remember I liked the sliders on the happy hour pricing, which was cheap back then. A wide variety of beer options and huge glasses the length of a half yard. A full yard would be difficult to drink and way too much beer to drink in one sitting; plus the beer would get warm & flat by the time you'd finish a whole yard of beer. Staff was nice at the Glendale location. Now, 18 years later happy hour is still good albeit different and yes more expensive but still good deal relative to normal price.

The other reviews of this band are ridiculous. People who hate on metal music all year and then go see a metal band at Christmas are beyond stupid, fake, plastic people. I just don't get it. The members of metal bands that play this stupid pseudo-metal Christmas music are trying to make a living, it's true. I get that part of it. But watching people make snarky and snobby comments about real metal music (and I'm talking about the majority of metal that is neo-classical in nature and requires a great deal of talent and skill to play well) and then flock to see TSO without even realizing they are literally hating on the VERY SAME musicians during the summer months that they are paying to go see play crap music in winter is extremely annoying to say the least. Even more annoying than that is reading the reviews of absolute idiots saying they hated a metal (albeit pseudo-metal) concert because it was loud. These reviews even have the same old ignorant tropes ("I couldn't understand the words", "they were just yelling and not singing") and other knowingly lying snobbish comments. Having said that, I guess I don't blame the otherwise metal artists for doing this garbage, because the snobs that secretly like metal but are too fake and ignorant to admit it make it so it is hard for them to make a living. But the fact is that this is NOT Christmas music, nor is it metal. It's fake plastic tripe for the sake of a dollar. It's no better than the hair metal that helped cause the blight on American metal in the early nineties that made way for the even more fake and horrible talent-averted grunge madness that followed. TSO is to Christmas music as the band "Autograph" was to what was thought of as metal. Autograph literally included an ink pen commercial in their MTV video. TSO is to music itself as Taylor Swift is to the idea of objectivity in popular music. read more

I thought it was so over promoted and totally 80's hair band. Even the laser light show is stuck in the 80s. They do a Christmas program first and those are some of the great songs we hear on Christmas radio. Then the 2nd half of the show is death metal with Gargoiles and red eyes and vultures. Whatever.... the 2 of those don't really mix well. It's not what people expect. If you think you're going to see the Orchestra, you're not. You can hear the orchestra as back ground music, but they are pretty much hidden from view. The show is about the death metal rock band out front. And the old laser show with the pyroglithics is very out dated. I think David Lee Roth invented that. Time to update the show guys! The lasers were so strong and annoying in a few places that I had to close my eyes. I was ready for the show to end after about 90 minutes, and they played like 14 more songs. Verrrry long show, and about 20 minutes of that was the main guy introducing just about everyone in the band, and wanting applause, applause, yay, applause... real attention junkies. I would not go to this show again, and I'm kinda mad at myself that I went the first time without checking reviews. Traffic at the Tampa show is a nightmare, too. read more

Most people go see TSO without realizing that they are a loud heavy metal band from the 1980's.. Before they were TSO most of the band members and founders of the group were in a band called Savatage and they play a lot of Savatage cover songs.. Like TSO Savatage did rock operas but not necessarily Christmas and I will remind people, TSO has 3 non-Christmas albums, Savatage originally did Christmas Eve Sarajevo on their album Dead Winter Dead, the same song made it to the first TSO album and it is their big finisher.. Dead Winter Dead was a concept album but didn't have much to do with Christmas.. . It is a concept album, dealing with a Serb boy and a Muslim girl who fall in love. The story of the album also focused on the Bosnian War, which was ongoing at the time... They don't intend on bringing you "Christmas" music, they just happen to have 3 concept albums based around Christmas, they do renditions of classical music and rock operas.. That's what TSO is.. They draw inspiration from the likes of Beethoven and Mozart on their albums Beethoven's Last Night and Night Castle.. read more

We were incredibly disappointed in the show this year. This was our third year going, having become one of our holiday traditions. The excitement quickly turned into disappointment...and boredom. We couldn't wait for it to end. The narrator was terribly boring and the story unintelligible. They only played a couple of the songs they're famous for and introduced about 8 songs that were (quite) awful and sung by substandard singers - not pleasant or Christmassy by a long shot. I noticed the orchestra was sidelined this year and the energy from the musicians was lacking in a major way. They didn't even do the musicians over the audience staging. People were leaving in the middle of the show - and we considered heading out with them! So, in summary, it was a huge dud and a big waste of effort, time, and money. I hope TSO reads these reviews and goes back to the formula that made them part of many a family Christmas tradition - including ours. In the meanwhile, we'll have to consider whether to give them another chance next year. read more

You wonder sometimes what other people were seeing. The four of us, all adults, really enjoyed the show. The first portion was Christmas songs all right, but not done in the traditional rinky-dink way you're heard them so many times. Some songs were familiar, but some, while still Christmas related, were new to me. They were all rocked-out in that big dramatic TSO way. The light show was stunning including pyrotechnics that could be seen from the moon. We each picked out some favorites, both performers and songs. There was a bluesy section that I loved. But for a total experience, multi-media, vocalists, instrumentals, with a little Christmas thrown in, it was terrific. Twisted Siberian orchestra - I do NOT recommend!!! Save your money if you're in PA and go to wholesome Hershey or festive long wood, do not waste your money on this creepy hair band with god awful story line... the story line was sooo bad, pretty sure a child wrote it - they said the word dream about 55 times, ...but that was nothing compared to the tiger dragon vampires and hell scenes paired with 80s metal hair flipping guitarists. Where was the orchestra again ? I'm pretty sure I've experienced a fiery 80s hell and it ain't magical with the feeling of Christmas ... It was dark and demonic. The doors for entry didn't open until 30 minutes before the show was supposed to start. Then once inside, the gates to find our seats were closed until it was "time" for the show to start. Multiple venue workers apologized and said they couldn't allow us to sit until the BAND decided we could. No explanation was provided. It's almost 30 mins after - when the show was supposed to start and people are still trying to come in. Again, no explanation at all. We understand things happen but addressing your fans, offering explanations and apologies - goes a long way. I've came to multiple shows over the years and this experience was enough for me to never waste my money again. read more

Yowza. Synchronized hair flipping, ridiculous rock star poses, and a 2.5 hour show that was 1.5 hours too long. TSO is like a used-car lot where washed up metal guitarists wind up. I almost thought it was "Spinal-Tap, the Christmas Story." While the music was live and the lasers were bright, the end of the show was a descent into Dante's Inferno, complete with fire breathing dragons, ghoulish red lights and a completely bizarre video that played something about "Requiem" with scantily clad dancers in slip dresses. The whole thing was just plain weird. That being said, it was better than Manheim Steamroller! Note to self - no more Christmas concerts! read more

Went for the first time after hearing about it for years. We didn't feel we were at a Christmas concert. We expected the rock--but more popular Christmas songs being rocked. Too much slow, dare I say boring, music that did not put me in the spirit. Lot of hair flying that got old fast. The singers weren't bad and I would expect if the story and music were interesting it could be very good and entertaining. I would go again in hopes that my first impression was 'wrong' and in hopes it would be more Christmas geared. Don't let these negative posts fool you. These people who posted all of these negative reviews obviously have never heard of TSO and didn't even do their research. Before you purchase tickets thinking you are going to a traditional orchestra (it's NOT), look up recent TSO concerts on YOUTUBE. You can then decide if the show is for you, or not. Saw the Seattle show - if you like bright lights shined in your eyes, you'll probably like it. Not sure why they have to shine the lights directly at the audiences eyes - at times we couldn't look at the stage due to the random very bright lights circulating through the audience and hitting us directly in the eyes. Sound was ok, but definitely not the best sound I've heard in a concert. Good thing we didn't pay for the tickets (won them on a radio station). read more

Love it!!!!!!!! My friend told me about the concert. She been there 15 years ago and was going with her husband and kids again. I joined them with my 10 years old who is playing in the School of Rock guitar, I thought would be great experience. It totally exceeded my expectations. If you're not a Christian, like myself, you'll feel like you've been misled by a friend who said they're taking you to a wicked cool concert but instead it is a cringey Christian band that blasts annoying music at decibels that kill the ears and cause bleeding from the eyes and you feel as though you do not belong in this church and where the hell is the exit doors!?! So horrible it was funny. We saw them in Sunrise, fl at the BB&T center. They don't even play the instruments!!??? They are "air guitar and air violining" how weird. Singers were horrible. From where I was standing, I couldn't see the stage at all, which made it hard to enjoy the performance I came to see. Beyond just being crowded, it felt unsafe. The number of people packed into the space seemed excessive, and I genuinely question whether it exceeded fire code limits. People were standing all the way back into the bar area. Navigating through the crowd was difficult, and there didn't appear to be enough room for people to exit easily if needed. I've been to this venue since its 2017 opening and had much better experiences, but this event felt poorly managed. I hope they take crowd capacity and guest safety more seriously in the future.

It's a great, small intimate space to see an artist you know well or discover something new. Last time we were there was to see one of our favorites, Black Pistol Fire, this past spring. We love that band and have seen them perform many times, we were happy they played at crescent. They have such great energy during shows and the lead singer always gets into the crowd, last time he went over to the back bar and played guitar on it. Was pretty awesome! This recent time we went to see rapper Intuition from LA. He was opening for Wax & Dj Hoppa. They were new to me, but it was a great hip hop show. Generally the sound is good in the venue and they have a bar up front with some seating. Behind the curtain where the stage is, there's a bar back too. There are also bleachers but I usually don't sit on them, but they are there if needed. Cocktails are like regular bar prices, and good thing, they are quality drinks. I had the whiskey sour and old fashioned. Both were very good with quality spirits. At $16, they should be good and not some afterthought cocktail. They also have beers on tap for like $8. I'll definitely be back for another show at some point. Until then, cheers!

Like a conversation they engaged. Anyways, I'm old and forget things. We'll its after one am and after I sung I went on my way to go home. Thats when it occurred to me that I haven't checked out yet and tsn tan tan! I left the card lol. I was gonna go back but they might be close. I locked the card and will pay and get it back tomorrow. Drinks are the usual for a dive bar. There is also an enclosed patio. Only negative was that there was only 1 bartender the entire night, so the wait for a drink was very long. They need more bar staff.

Normally, festivals are held in these huge fair grounds with dirty dust being kicked up everywhere. But what is so wonderful and nice about the AZ Jazz festival is that it is held on the beautiful grounds of the Historic Wigwam Resort http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-wigwam-litchfield-park#hrid:-Yra83fScX6aPuKW8hLBSQ. My review in this link tells you how I feel about the Wigwam. As for the musical selection at this "jazz" festival, it is a common tongue in cheek comment that this is not a real Jazz festival because the major draws to the event are "neo-soul" and "old school R&B/Soul" performers. A fellow Yelper, Reese J, commented that the festival should be renamed "Arizona Soul Festival". Nevertheless, the fun atmosphere and talented draws are certainly worth the money and time. So for a little FYI: This festival was previously held at the JW Marriott. This festival is put on every 6 months in October and April. I attended both the October 2012 and April 2013 events. My friends and I bought hotel packages for each event. If you live locally and you live out in Mesa, consider it. The convenience of running to the room at 4pm after sitting in the sun and heat to take a quick shower and change can't be beat. As well as not having to drive an hour to get home. As I stated, I attended Oct 2012 and April 2013. In Oct 2012, the festival set the bar extremely high. I sent them feedback and my only "needs improvement" comment was "get an after party". Litchfield park has no night life. Capitalize on that. They didn't do any better on Friday night in April 2013. The lineup in April '13 was far better than Oct '12. But less Jazzy and more Soul. So, in April 2013, all they had to do was maintain the BEAUTIFUL experience I had Oct '12, but they fell short. here's where I was unhappy. -The Will Call line AWFUL on Friday night. I missed the entire Will Downing Concert because of it. Suggestions: Have lines based on last name. A staff person in the hotel lobby during check-in hours of 3:30 - 5:30 to hand out tickets to hotel pkg people. Separate Will call for VIP. -Drink Tickets! ANOTHER unnecessary line. Suggestions: Presale drink tickets online. And/OR Use a mobile app so folks can buy the tkts at their seats and get in line to buy drinks. -OverCrowded!! Suggestion: Reduce the Max Capacity. Get a new, larger Venue. In October 2012, people danced at their seats as there was more room. Since we were packed in there, you didn't see that very much. -Entrance to Festival Area. lines were long and the VIP line was largely empty. Suggestion: Run the entrance like the TSA does the security chk points at the airport. The TSA person checking the boarding pass/ID of the 1st class passengers ALSO checks coach-class folks when there is no 1st class person is in line. Apply that concept here too! Anyone taking tickets should never be doing nothing (excuse the double negative) when you have a long line. -Guarantee Event exclusivity the resort members scheduled an event on top of this event. I can say that many people felt there was some bias there. I'll leave that comment there. My experience in Oct 2012 was extremely pleasant. I could not imagine a festival being done better. Apr 2013 was just ok for me. The AZ Jazz Fest has my support in Oct 2013. I'm hoping they use a sensible cap this time. But I'm not sure how I will support this event in Oct 2013. I'll have to evaluate the pricing and then make my decision. Update: one thing I forgot to mention: They had more vendors this time around than in Oct 2012. That may have contributed to the lack of space. You may like it. I also didn't comment that every single act was amazing. The shows almost always ran exactly on time and finished on time. I especially love that.

My very first time ever here & what a cool venue! The acoustics here are perfect for any kind of…read moremusic, as I found out. Great bartenders here for your drink pleasures but the only food you can get here are snack-sized bags of chips or pretzels. Small dance floor & as far as seats go it's wise to arrive early if you want to sit & enjoy the band. Parking lot is small too.
