I was so sad when the Yard House closest to me closed, but I happened to be out in Glendale and decided to stop in for a meal. I'm so glad I did! I had to order the Adult Mac & Cheese, and let me tell you--it never disappoints. This dish is the definition of comfort food. The creamy cheese sauce, earthy mushrooms, and rich truffle flavor are always perfectly balanced. It's one of those meals I can count on being consistently delicious every single time. My husband ordered one of their burgers and upgraded his fries to the Garlic Parmesan Fries. If you're a garlic lover, I highly recommend making that upgrade. The garlic flavor is bold and intense in the best way possible. It's great to know this location delivers the same quality and consistency as every other Yard House I've visited. Even though the restaurant was extremely busy, the staff worked hard to keep up with everyone and still provided friendly, attentive service. I already reviewed my local location in Hanover, MD. Didn't have much to add to Gaithersburg, MD or Springfield, VA location except that I had my 32nd birthday party in Springfield, the first location in the DC area. Prior to moving to the DC area in 2011, I lived in Phoenix. I had been to all 3 Valley locations Glendale (Westgate), Phoenix (Desert Ridge), & Scottsdale (Fashion Square Mall) [Scottsdale one no longer exists]. My 1st visit to a Yard House ever was this Glendale location in 2008. My friend invited me to this location citing their great happy hour. I remember I liked the sliders on the happy hour pricing, which was cheap back then. A wide variety of beer options and huge glasses the length of a half yard. A full yard would be difficult to drink and way too much beer to drink in one sitting; plus the beer would get warm & flat by the time you'd finish a whole yard of beer. Staff was nice at the Glendale location. Now, 18 years later happy hour is still good albeit different and yes more expensive but still good deal relative to normal price. read more

Love how she joined in with our conversations and shared her experiences as well. She's so cool! I was visiting Phoenix for my first time and I stumbled upon "Yard House" in Glendale. I now found out that it's a chain. We have one here in the Bay Area close to me (The Veranda, Concord). Since it was my first time experiencing this wonderful establishment. Upon entry we were full of joy! The welcoming from the greeters was cheerful and exciting. I glanced and noticed the huge bar shaped in a oval fashion, with 300 beers on tap to choose from! We were then greeted by our server where she guided us to our table. I glanced at the menu and found an array of heathy and protein focused meals to chose from. I felt like little kid in a candy store. The waitress was outstanding. She went above and beyond in order to make our experience joyful. We ordered, conversed for a few and glanced around noticing the mellow vibe of big parties, as well as small ones, like our own. Then voila! The food arrived piping hot, as the mouthwatering smoke of plates flowed suit. The food was top notch. You couldn't tell this place is a chain. Yard House was busy because of a concert (Florence&The Machine) but overall still a good experience. We checked in around 6:30 and got seated about 7:30, so we grabbed drinks at Carousel and walked around while we waited. Clean bathrooms, good atmosphere, and our waiter Ed was friendly and attentive. He let us sample a few beers before ordering. The poke nachos were sooo good, and the spicy beef noodles, double pepper jack burger, and espresso martini were all solid too. Hard to choose when there's a big menu! Noodles were giving Trader Joe's frozen find but delicious. Nonetheless. Espresso martini hit the spot. Burger was juicy but 3 pickle slices aren't enough. Fantastic time for a pre-concert dinner. Ernestine took amazing care of us. She was attentive, friendly and labeled all our leftover boxes. We had a variety of things; the crispy brussel sprouts were super tasty, the firecracker shrimp were perfectly cooked and the kurobuta pork burger was to die for. I won't be returning to this restaurant- but it's related to parking- not the restaurant. We visited this week and upon entering the parking lot, we were told that there were graduation ceremonies at the location, so a parking fee was in place. We were reassured that if we stayed less than 2 hours, the fee wouldn't be charged. The parking attendant also told us that Yardhouse would 'validate ' the parking. The hostess at Yardhouse said there is no validation. Dee was our server and was fabulous. We only stayed one hour. The food and service was great. Love their happy hour, many choices and the pricing just amazing. The last time I went to Yard House was about two years ago in SoCal. The happy hour is great, though the food is around a 2.5 out of 5. I got the calamari from the happy hour menu--it would've been better if it came out hot. The fried cheese curds were not bad; my friend asked for caramel on the side, which was surprisingly good and paired really well. The chicken nachos were big but just ehh. (And they don't have salsa ?!) The buffalo chicken pizza was also okay and so were the boneless wings. We had a party of 10, and there were plenty of open seats, but they may have been understaffed. Even though I live right next to a Yard House in Los Angeles, I wanted to to sit down and eat near a washroom and stretch my legs before the 5 1/2 hour drive so I said screw it and visited this location near the stadium before leaving Phoenix on Tuesday. This place is absolutely massive in size, had an insane amount of seating, and was absolutely packed for a Tuesday afternoon. I entered alone and was seated right away. The waitress I had was super friendly, attentive, and took care of me at the speed of light. I ended up ordering the "Everything-Crusted" Ahi Tuna burger with a side of French fries, which is actually something I've never had before. The food came out super quick and I was very surprised with how much I enjoyed it. The fish had so much flavour and the crusty edges tasted very, very good. The French fries were pretty standard "burger and fries" style fries, but were hot and tasted very good when dipped in some ketchup. Overall, Yard House definitely exceeded my expectations and I'll absolutely be checking out the LA location in DTLA very soon to show my wife. The food was good, the place looked cool, and the service was great as well. I can definitely see this being a great place for food before or after a game! read more

I always tell everyone that Yard House has the best happy hours, especially when it comes to food! So many appetizers are half off, and there's truly something for everyone. I don't drink, but I still love happy hour when the menu is this good. I had a Topo Chico mocktail that was super refreshing, and the poke nachos were really tasty. Service is always fast and very friendly, and I really like the ambience -- it strikes a perfect balance. One of my frequently went and go-to spots for happy hour while living in AZ! Parking can be difficult especially on the weekends and when there is a Cardinal game since it's located inside the Westgate plaza and its parking lot is shared with many other businesses Service was very attentive and friendly.
