The music was Bad Bunny themed on this Saturday so we all got our dance on. I enjoyed the huge breakfast burrito, it was full of deliciousness, papas, eggs, pico and Chipotle sauce. My wife enjoyed her waffle with everything in the side and they offered softened butter. The endless mimosas were $25 per person and it was definitely worth it. The Scene I was genuinely excited to visit The Lola. A week before our trip, I made a reservation for a coworker's going-away dinner while several of us were in town from across the country. Based on the photos online, it looked like the perfect place for our group to gather. I confirmed my reservation through both the email and text reminders. On the day of our reservation, another partner agency happened to be in town and wanted to join us. Since the website wouldn't let me modify the reservation, I called four times after they opened to see if I could add a few more people. Unfortunately, no one ever answered the phone. We decided to arrive early and ask in person. The Service When we arrived, the restaurant was absolutely packed. The hostess told us we were welcome to walk through the bar to see if we could find a table ourselves, but that they were extremely busy and likely wouldn't have anything available. After looking around, we came back and asked if the patio was an option since the misters made it surprisingly comfortable despite the Arizona heat. We were told the patio was for reservations only. When I reminded the hostess that we had a reservation, the explanation suddenly changed to, "We're on an event menu tonight." She handed me the menu while I stood at the host stand, walked away, and never really explained what that meant for our reservation or whether we would actually be seated. When she returned, instead of offering a wait time or another solution, she suggested we try Thirsty Lion down the sidewalk instead. At that point, it became clear that our reservation wasn't going to be honored. Parting Thoughts I completely understand that restaurants get busy, especially during major events. What disappointed me wasn't the crowd--it was having a confirmed reservation, receiving multiple confirmation requests, making several unanswered phone calls beforehand, and ultimately being left without a table or a meaningful explanation. read more

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Lola's today. When we arrived, we were neither greeted nor seated. We stood waiting for approximately 25 minutes while multiple servers walked past us without acknowledging us. After waiting, we finally asked if we could have a table. I even attempted to get the attention of an employee at the front desk and was completely ignored. There was little noise and not many customers present, so I am confident he heard me. After being told we could sit, no one brought us menus. We waited another 15-20 minutes before grabbing menus ourselves, only to discover they were the wrong ones. Shortly afterward, staff brought us the correct menus, which leads me to believe they noticed the mistake but had not initially assisted us. When we sat down, there were old cups left on the table. We requested clean cups, and while new waters were brought out, they were served in cups that appeared dirty and did not belong to us. I noticed black particles floating in my water, which was extremely concerning. We then requested plastic cups instead. Unfortunately, the issues continued when our food arrived. There was a strand of hair on one of the burgers. When we informed our server, he completely brushed off our concern and instead focused on discussing another item that was missing from our order. A few minutes later, he returned with fries, and we had to explain again that there was hair on the burger. He took the burger away but never apologized, offered a replacement, or showed any concern regarding the issue. As paying customers, we expected basic hospitality, cleanliness, and customer service. I could understand delays if the restaurant had been busy, but there were very few people there at the time. The lack of attention, poor service, cleanliness concerns, and dismissive response to finding hair in our food made for an extremely unpleasant experience. You can tell they really want the place to look nice, some of the waiters and waitresses dressed really appropriately and others do not care. Our waiter was super nice and made sure to double check any info about the menu before giving us an answer he didn't know. The drinks were so yummy, but we had one dish that was not great and a little over priced. One thing I loved was the music! I had a great interaction with Jackie the manager, I expressed our concerns and she fixed them immediately! I appreciate the transparency and the extra effort to make sure we had the best experience. I remember when this place used to be Saddle Ranch back in the day, and it's definitely changed a lot since then. The inside is really nice now--disco balls hanging around, tons of TVs, and plenty of spots that are perfect for photos if you're going for that Instagram vibe. We came to celebrate a 19th birthday with a party of eight, and our server was honestly great--very attentive, friendly, and on top of things. Unfortunately, once we started ordering food, things began to go downhill. There seemed to be a disconnect between the server and the kitchen. Orders were coming out incorrectly--one of our friends asked for ranch with their salad and got Caesar instead. I ordered a steak medium rare, but it came out medium well and was chewy like rubber. I politely let the server know, and he handled it really well--he apologized, was understanding, and offered to switch it out for salmon instead. A few minutes later, after speaking with the kitchen, they decided they were going to remake the steak and give me the salmon, while also removing the steak from the bill. I appreciated the effort, but it was a bit confusing since I only wanted the salmon at that point. When both dishes came out, the steak still wasn't right--it leaned more on the raw side than medium rare. I gave it a try, but ended up pushing it aside and sticking with the salmon. Unfortunately, the salmon wasn't much better--it was overcooked and burned on the bottom. The vegetables that came with it were completely underwhelming--bland, under-seasoned, and so undercooked that I had to use a steak knife just to cut through them. Overall, the main dishes were a big disappointment. It really felt like the kitchen was off that night--the chef was definitely not cheffing. On a positive note, the happy hour specials were great, the appetizers were solid, and the espresso martinis were probably the highlight of the night. The Lola had a glow up and I'm here for it. I heard so many great things about the Lola and the food was stellar. When you walk into the newly renovated restaurant, it's such a cool vibe. There are post-able photo op areas everywhere but especially the front area with these cool egg chairs. The live DJ also plays some killer tracks while you dine and drink. I got a few different items to try including a burger, the steak frites, and mozzarella squares. Each and every item k for was cooked well, seasoned well and tasty. The cheese pull food the mozzarella sticks was epic as well. I of course has to try a couple of drinks too since I saw you can drink out of a pineapple (who wouldn't want to try that). My daughter and I joined my friend and her sons at The Lola for the Love Island finale watch party they had. It was so bad we left halfway through the finale and went home to watch the second half. The restaurant was so hot, the doors wouldn't stay closed and they had a fan that was blowing hot air so hard at our backs, our hair was blowing everywhere. Then we ordered and everything came out at different times. When we ordered our food, I ordered a beer and when the waitress brought the beer over she spilled two other full drinks down my back and side. She apologized and cleaned it up but left the floor so sticky. A manager never came over to apologize. The beer was not cold so we told her and she brought another one that was exactly the same. They obviously don't rotate their stock when restocking. We finally had enough and decided to leave and I asked to make sure we weren't charged for both beers and she said no. I then asked if anything else was taken off and she said, "well I guess I can ask". I said that's the least you could do after dropping two drinks on me. She came back and took 5% off which wasn't even half my meal. In my younger years, I managed a full service restaurant and I would've had comped at least the meal of the person that got the drink spilled on them. We made a reservation at Lola for dinner and drinks before the Chris Stapleton concert at Desert Diamond Arena. We've never been to Lola before, but it's close to the arena so we decided to give it a go! We showed up and both the host and hostess looked very frazzled. We got there about 10 minutes early and gave our name for the reservation. We were told we would have to share a long table inside with other people if we wanted to be sat now or we would have to wait a while even though we had a reservation? That was strange but we said fine we could share a communal table. It was extremely hot outside so we just wanted out of the heat and to get inside. We sat down inside and immediately felt stuffy and even more hot than we did outside. We looked around and noticed people fanning themselves with their menus and sweating. Then we noticed big fans on the floor. Their air conditioning was OUT!!! It was packed inside, 110 degrees outside and they have no air conditioning and didn't tell us!!! Completely unacceptable! I asked our server if the air was out and she told us yes it was. She was very sweet and it certainly wasn't her fault. The management and host/hostesses needed to be informing people the air was out and let them decide if they still wanted to dine there. They have tables outside but the misters were on so high the tables were soaked so there was no way you could sit outside under the minsters without getting wet. We got up and left. However, they moved into a much larger space and with that came a decline in customer service and lack of staffing for the amount of people and the type of hyped atmosphere they are trying to have. The drinks were not good at all, I don't think they even had alcohol and for the price-save your money! We had a 945 reservation my son was first to arrive a few minutes early and was told where to sit, not seated. When the rest of us arrived we got the same greeting. The gal didn't seem to want to move from her bar stool outside in front of the restaurant she just pointed to the direction of where the table would be-no customer service skills whatsoever. The menus were as sticky and gross as the inside of the women's restroom. We had friends that had an 1130 reservation on the same day and had an even worse experience. Brunch spots can be hit or miss, which I understand, but I was pretty underwhelmed today. The birthday girl didn't get her meal until everyone else had already finished eating. We never got refills, and the music was so loud that it made conversation difficult. The server was nice, but service was lacking in several areas, especially considering the restaurant wasn't even that busy. I ordered the dip trio to share, the chips were stale and the queso/salsa/guac came in to-go ramekins. It was $14. Our group was automatically charged gratuity because of our party size, which is completely fine. What wasn't fine was the server actively asking for an additional tip and explaining that the gratuity doesn't all go to him. That's not the customer's responsibility to solve. I ended up adding extra because the pressure was uncomfortable, so I guess he got what he wanted. If you're going to automatically add gratuity, don't put customers in a position where they're being asked for more. Either remove the automatic gratuity or pay staff appropriately so servers aren't relying on customers to make up the difference. read more

Attended a friend's private bday and it was so fun! The party was after business hours, and they only served appetizers. Everything we ate was delish, the drinks were outstanding and the staff was 10/10. Shout out to the two bartenders, Jo and Cece, for keeping everything top tier, and the energy fun! We stopped into The Lola before heading over to the stadium for the AZ Supershow. We were seated on the patio which has such a chill vibe. It's right across from the waterfall and ambiance is really nice. However, don't think that stops the party. I had never been to The Lola and I wasn't ready. I didn't even think of drinking, but my friend tried to order the mimosa flight only to be told they were sold out but they had unlimited mimosas for the same price. She said that was fine and let me tell you we were not ready for the club like presentation of the champagne complete with sparklers. It was awesome! The menu has a good variety of options and some really fun choices! We decided to order a few appetizers instead of meals. We ordered the hash brown flight (order it), elote ribs (good but not worth the price) and clothesline bacon (pass unless you order all dipped in pancake batter. That one was delish!) during our meal one of the servers came running onto the patio blowing a whistle holding a huge gold gun that shot champagne in your mouth. Again very unexpected as was the following of club girls who came around and poured shots down our throats. ITS A PARTY. Again I had no intention of drinking, my friend was having a one drink and we ended up leaving LIT. It was so fun! Our waiter took great care of us and all the staff was engaging. We had Saturday tickets to the oogie boogie brunch but we were in town for a Han Zimmer concert so We ate dinner here 10/3/2025 because the proximity of the restaurant near the Desert Diamond Arena . We were pretty bummed when the waitress said the steak frites were sold out but we ended up getting the short rib entree which was actually really good . Happy hour is 5-7 pm we got two cocktails half off . Now for the next day , we ended up back at The Lola for the themed brunch. Check in was somewhat sloppy . We paid for the VIP brunch admission which contained some extra perks . We got rushed into our table by the hostess and we never got a themed menu , our vip amenities were never distributed (a poker chip and gummy worms/boozy worms ) . Our waiter supplied us with our amenities and was super helpful . We came for our daughter because she loves Nightmare before Christmas and oogie did not disappoint. Oogie interacted with all VIP Tables , danced with the kids and adults , and was super fun . I will say this .... - it's loud with the DJ music . Do not come here if noise sensitivity is an issue . - it's a trendy place , lots of sparklers and fun drinks . Champagne parade consists of free shots around the restaurants . Typically we have a great experience here for brunch but this time was not that in the slightest. We made a reservation for a large party and for starters staff did not follow proper check in procedure resulting in another large party being sat before us. The reservation was all wrong, staff were rude when we requested updates, then an hour and a half past our reservation time we were still not seated. We ended up leaving because it just wouldn't have been worth it at that point. My suggestion would be putting better limits/regulations on how people are being seated. There was no sense of urgency to seat us and smaller parties continued to be sat in any open table as opposed to staff trying to accommodate us for their mess up. I'll be back one day because I love a good brunch, but hopefully by that day they will have their lives together; and it won't be anytime soon. read more

Had a terrible first (and last) experience at The Lola last night. Slow, disorganized service and ridiculously long waits. Cocktails were okay, but overly sweet. I'm giving it two stars because when our tacos finally arrived, they were pretty good. We had a reservation for dinner before a concert at the arena next door. It took about 10 minutes to get seated, and once the hostess left the table, we realized we had several food menus, but no cocktail menu. We finally had to go to the bar to track one down. It took another 10 minutes or so until someone to come to take our cocktail order, followed by about a 20+ minute wait for drinks to arrive (our party was only three people). In the meantime, we ordered dinner. At one point, the server came to ask if we wanted to order more drinks because the food "was still going to take a while." I pointed out that we had already been waiting about 40 minutes. She went to the kitchen to check on our orders, returned and told us it would be another 10 minutes for the food to arrive. We were at the restaurant over an hour before we finally got our dinner. When the food was dropped off, we had no napkins or silverware. The runner delivered the food and turned around before we could even ask for silverware. We asked another server who stopped by for silverware, and when she had not returned after several minutes, we finally grabbed silverware from an empty table. We had the same annoying and frustrating wait when we were ready to pay, and finally went to the bar and asked the bartender to run our bill. I understand it was a concert night, and the restaurant was very busy. But this place has been open next to the arena for years and should have better systems for handling a busy night. It was very frustrating that they seemed to have a lot of servers and food runners around, but still could not complete basic functions well. We were planning to eat elsewhere until we saw how lively and welcoming this place was! It was all done up for Valentine's Day and everything. Right off the bat this place is IT for any instagram, TikTok, social media worthy pics and experience. Live dj, decor, food, drinks and all! It was also a busy brunch morning (11am) and we got our food and drinks rather quickly. We spent almost 100$ between two of us. They did free shots for the adults and it was so much fun. Plenty of photo shoot areas and a Photo Booth! We had a lot of items to go and we had some amazing sauce we wanted to take to go and get an extra container of but when told we'd have to pay for it which we already checked out we just decided to decline. But we never got the other sauce we had left to go in a cup. So not only did he take the sauce with him to go get us more he never brought back the one we needed a container for. Spending money like we did, having to spend another $1-$2 on sauce is a weird thing to have us check out again for when we were already ready to leave. Other than that it was a fun time. As you can see from my previous reviews, we've been here a number of times and enjoyed it a lot. However, they've moved locations (just across the street) into a larger dining room. And, the menu that's on their website is no longer in play. Many items have been eliminated and/or changed. We went for "our" Valentine's Day dinner and were excited to see their new set up. I had gone online and found the perfect meal I wanted to get. The first thing we noticed, when we were seated, was the change to the menu. I was quite disappointed, since one of their signature items was no longer listed. Anyway, we still wanted to have a nice dinner, so we both decided on different entrees. We started with their Pull-Apart Garlic Bread...this was the best thing I had. It was very garlicky, tender and freshly made...delicious! For our mains, Hubby went with the Bang Bang Salmon, which he really liked! He liked the glaze on it and said it was very good! I got the Sticky Braised Short Ribs. It comes with Broccolini (not a fan, find it too fibrous, prefer broccoli) and Glazed Carrots (they were neither glazed or cooked, so they were hard, raw carrots). The Short Ribs had an Asian Sticky Sauce, which turned out to be mostly soy and very salty. Luckily, the Creamy Mashed Potatoes (the best thing on my plate) helped to tone down the saltiness. The Short Ribs were somewhat tender, they were easily pulled apart. However, somehow in the same "chunk" of meat, one bite was melt in my mouth tender, the next was chewy and stringy...not sure how they managed that. I did eat them and Hubby ended up eating my veggies...he likes Broccolini and raw carrots...LOL! Our server was very nice. The music was by a DJ who was on all the video screens and very loud. It wasn't my particular taste in music, but I could see people enjoying it on a Friday or Saturday night. But, this was early evening on a Thursday, so... The place was empty, but again, I could see the bar rocking over the weekend. Brunch is just okay. Pricey and loud. The restaurant is beautiful but the service isn't the best for the prices you are paying.

Let's start with my drink, I fot the pineapple delight, delight? More like what a disappointment!!! It was full of ice as it shows in the picture, what a ripoff, I was looking forward to the Lola now at the former sugar factory. They have a very limited menu for food. We wanted short ribs and the steak and it wasn't available until 6pm!! Though it was on their menu and on their website without stating that. Friend booked her birthday party here at 6pm on 2/26. It was the worst experience all the way around. First, the restaurant was empty besides one large party. They sit us a table of 8 directly next to the other big party. No reason for that. Tap water on table tasted like bleach, or heavily chlorinated. Was our waitress new? Did she just not give a shit to do her job? Ordered drinks, brought 2 out instead of the 4 ordered. Had to remind her. We ordered an appetizer and the waitress brought out the plates, under her armpit. Literally directly inside her armpit under her sleeveless shirt! Inside of the restaurant was beyond uncomfortable with the temperature. We did ask if they could close the doors, or turn on/up the air, waitress said she would. It never got better. Menu is small, and not a lot to choose from. Food was fresh but not something that wowed us. No refills. Restaurant got busier, and we got more ignored. read more

We had a light dinner and drinks before the concert last Saturday. We had reservations for 6pm but were not seated until 6:40pm. We were told we the next to get seated, twice! When we ordered drinks, they did not match the description on the menu. When we asked, the server stated we do not have all the ingredients!? My Paloma was terrible! The food order took an hour, the chicken sandwich is a complete joke. Two salads, cheese burger and chicken sandwich. By the time we received our food, over 50% of the other tables were cleared. I always have a great time here, and have been here numerous times this year. We recently attended the Grinch brunch and had a blast! The servers and staff working were all great and very accommodating. The music was loud that morning and they moved out party outdoors to a quieter table. Eva took great care of us. The Grinch came by and interacted with us and then we got to enjoy all of the beautiful Christmas decor! For food we tried: -The Croffle Flight Board: these were a mix between croissants and waffles. I thought it was delicious and would definitely order again. Very sweet though. -Pull apart Cinnamon-Rolls: this was good too! Sweet but still flavorful. - The breakfast burritos here are always solid and very good sized. I had chorizo and it was awesome. We also tried the grinch-mosa and mistletoe mimosa which were both yummy! Loved the food and the service! The ambiance was high energy and consistent!!! From the time we got to the hostess stand, till we walked out the door! Our servers Lonyae and Ari were amazing, they were able to take care of our 14 person party and made us feel like we were there individually, and not lost in the shuffle of a big party, they were completely honest and recommended drinks and appetizers, after telling them what we liked they DID NOT MISS! Every drink seemed to get better than the next, after their suggestions I now have my favorite drink there!! I CAN NOT WAIT TO GO BACK!! We drove an hour to visit this restaurant after seeing the positive attention it received on social media, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The cleanliness of the establishment was concerning. There was visible food, trash, and even broken glass on the floor, which made the environment feel neglected and unsafe. My chicken and waffles dish was also disappointing, the chicken was significantly overcooked and extremely tough to cut. The atmosphere was not family-friendly. The music contained excessive vulgar language and was played very loudly. Additionally, the drinks were heavily diluted due to an excessive amount of ice. Service was average, but what was most concerning was the automatic 20% "event gratuity" charge added to our bill. There was no event taking place during our visit, only a few occupied tables and no DJ, just televisions playing music. It was unclear why this charge was applied. Overall, this experience did not meet expectations, and unfortunately, we would not return or recommend this establishment. read more
