    Lola Burrito

Brunch was So much fun at the Lola! From the staff to the other guests...everyone was so happy and just enjoying the moment. The music was Bad Bunny themed on this Saturday so we all got our dance on. I enjoyed the huge breakfast burrito, it was full of deliciousness, papas, eggs, pico and Chipotle sauce. My wife enjoyed her waffle with everything in the side and they offered softened butter. The endless mimosas were $25 per person and it was definitely worth it. We requested a watermelon sauce in the side and it was a $1. We all left happy full and with good energy.

I remember when this place used to be Saddle Ranch back in the day, and it's definitely changed a lot since then. The inside is really nice now--disco balls hanging around, tons of TVs, and plenty of spots that are perfect for photos if you're going for that Instagram vibe. We came to celebrate a 19th birthday with a party of eight, and our server was honestly great--very attentive, friendly, and on top of things. Unfortunately, once we started ordering food, things began to go downhill. There seemed to be a disconnect between the server and the kitchen. Orders were coming out incorrectly--one of our friends asked for ranch with their salad and got Caesar instead. I ordered a steak medium rare, but it came out medium well and was chewy like rubber. I politely let the server know, and he handled it really well--he apologized, was understanding, and offered to switch it out for salmon instead. A few minutes later, after speaking with the kitchen, they decided they were going to remake the steak and give me the salmon, while also removing the steak from the bill. I appreciated the effort, but it was a bit confusing since I only wanted the salmon at that point. When both dishes came out, the steak still wasn't right--it leaned more on the raw side than medium rare. I gave it a try, but ended up pushing it aside and sticking with the salmon. Unfortunately, the salmon wasn't much better--it was overcooked and burned on the bottom. The vegetables that came with it were completely underwhelming--bland, under-seasoned, and so undercooked that I had to use a steak knife just to cut through them. Overall, the main dishes were a big disappointment. It really felt like the kitchen was off that night--the chef was definitely not cheffing. On a positive note, the happy hour specials were great, the appetizers were solid, and the espresso martinis were probably the highlight of the night. I might come back for drinks and apps, but based on this experience, I'd skip the entrées.

You can tell they really want the place to look nice, some of the waiters and waitresses dressed really appropriately and others do not care. Our waiter was super nice and made sure to double check any info about the menu before giving us an answer he didn't know. The drinks were so yummy, but we had one dish that was not great and a little over priced. One thing I loved was the music! I had a great interaction with Jackie the manager, I expressed our concerns and she fixed them immediately! I appreciate the transparency and the extra effort to make sure we had the best experience. Thank you, Jackie! We'll be back because of you!

The Lola is a straight vibe! We visited from out of state and stopped in for their weekend brunch while celebrating a birthday, and this spot definitely knows how to bring the energy. The location in the Westgate Entertainment District is perfect--fun, walkable, and surrounded by so much to do before or after your meal. Inside, the atmosphere was electric. Think high-energy brunch party: a live DJ, sparklers, shot parades, dancing, and nonstop hype. If you love a good daytime turn-up, this is your place. The décor is stunning--chandeliers, greenery, neon signs, and photo-worthy details everywhere you look. Honestly, the aesthetic alone makes the visit worth it. The food itself was mid--not bad, just not as standout as the vibe. The cocktails and presentation, however, were on point. Service was good, especially considering how packed the restaurant was. Our hostess definitely had her hands full, but she kept things moving and stayed friendly throughout. Overall, we had a great time and would absolutely come back for the drinks, ambiance, and party energy. If you're looking for a cute, lively brunch spot where the vibe is the main event, The Lola delivers.

Lonyae was our server and he was amazing. He was attentive and quick. He works hard and was running all over the place. We came in a party of 7 and while service was bit slow, it was very entertaining. The champagne parade was so fun! They go around with free champagne and random shots to all the guests. All the cocktails were good, a bit sweet for me but everyone loved it. My Bloody Mary was slightly spicy, just how I like it and made to perfection. All the food items we had were generous portions and good. Lola's is a fun place to get together and party. The decor, DJ, champagne parade, champagne gun, sparklers all elevate the dining experience.

The Lola had a glow up and I'm here for it. I heard so many great things about the Lola and the food was stellar. When you walk into the newly renovated restaurant, it's such a cool vibe. There are post-able photo op areas everywhere but especially the front area with these cool egg chairs. The live DJ also plays some killer tracks while you dine and drink. I got a few different items to try including a burger, the steak frites, and mozzarella squares. Each and every item k for was cooked well, seasoned well and tasty. The cheese pull food the mozzarella sticks was epic as well. I of course has to try a couple of drinks too since I saw you can drink out of a pineapple (who wouldn't want to try that). The drink was tasty and it felt like a tropical escape. I'd recommend stopping by and if you have April as your waitress, she's amazing.

This is the old sugar factory location. On a positive note, the atmosphere is fun. They have a DJ that plays music. Mimosas were good. Now for the food. Definitely bring your wallet, this place is not cheap. The quality of the food is lacking. I ordered a breakfast burrito with bacon, $18 with liquid scrambled eggs. One friend ordered eggs Benedict. Came with hard boiled eggs on it? What? Who puts hard boiled eggs on eggs Benedict? Other friend ordered French toast, it was under cooked. Should have stayed on the grill longer. She also ordered 2 over HARD eggs. They came with runny yolk. She sent them back, 2nd batch came with one still having runny yolk. The deep fried cinnamon French toast sticks were good. So all and all NO I would not recommend. Might be OK for a sweet 16th party or something? Very disappointing.

Chris Stapleton Themed Menu before his concert

We made a reservation at Lola for dinner and drinks before the Chris Stapleton concert at Desert Diamond Arena. We've never been to Lola before, but it's close to the arena so we decided to give it a go! We showed up and both the host and hostess looked very frazzled. We got there about 10 minutes early and gave our name for the reservation. We were told we would have to share a long table inside with other people if we wanted to be sat now or we would have to wait a while even though we had a reservation? That was strange but we said fine we could share a communal table. It was extremely hot outside so we just wanted out of the heat and to get inside. We sat down inside and immediately felt stuffy and even more hot than we did outside. We looked around and noticed people fanning themselves with their menus and sweating. Then we noticed big fans on the floor. Their air conditioning was OUT!!! It was packed inside, 110 degrees outside and they have no air conditioning and didn't tell us!!! Completely unacceptable! I asked our server if the air was out and she told us yes it was. She was very sweet and it certainly wasn't her fault. The management and host/hostesses needed to be informing people the air was out and let them decide if they still wanted to dine there. They have tables outside but the misters were on so high the tables were soaked so there was no way you could sit outside under the minsters without getting wet. We got up and left. Such a bummer bc they did have a creative Chris Stapleton themed menu to go along with the concert and they were playing his music, but the heat inside was unbearable and how slimy of the management to not inform people.

    Amber E.

Went to celebrate a friends birthday. The inside is super cute and decorated for all the cute pictures with your friends. The Christmas cocktails were super festive and taste was amazing! Food was average and nothing super spectacular. You do not have one dedicated server to your table and they charge 20% gratuity and dont outright tell you that; make sure to check before you add more. There was a photographer there trying to upsell you framed pictures of your party.

I was shocked as before I have had nothing but great experiences. However, they moved into a much larger space and with that came a decline in customer service and lack of staffing for the amount of people and the type of hyped atmosphere they are trying to have. Service was just ok, but when we were missing items the waitress had an attitude with me. The food was ok. The drinks were not good at all, I don't think they even had alcohol and for the price-save your money! We had a 945 reservation my son was first to arrive a few minutes early and was told where to sit, not seated. When the rest of us arrived we got the same greeting. The gal didn't seem to want to move from her bar stool outside in front of the restaurant she just pointed to the direction of where the table would be-no customer service skills whatsoever. The menus were as sticky and gross as the inside of the women's restroom. We had friends that had an 1130 reservation on the same day and had an even worse experience. I would hope management takes the reins of this. Westgate is a ghost town as several restaurants/bars have closed permanently.

We stopped into The Lola before heading over to the stadium for the AZ Supershow. We were seated on the patio which has such a chill vibe. It's right across from the waterfall and ambiance is really nice. However, don't think that stops the party. I had never been to The Lola and I wasn't ready. I didn't even think of drinking, but my friend tried to order the mimosa flight only to be told they were sold out but they had unlimited mimosas for the same price. She said that was fine and let me tell you we were not ready for the club like presentation of the champagne complete with sparklers. It was awesome! The menu has a good variety of options and some really fun choices! We decided to order a few appetizers instead of meals. We ordered the hash brown flight (order it), elote ribs (good but not worth the price) and clothesline bacon (pass unless you order all dipped in pancake batter. That one was delish!) during our meal one of the servers came running onto the patio blowing a whistle holding a huge gold gun that shot champagne in your mouth. Again very unexpected as was the following of club girls who came around and poured shots down our throats. ITS A PARTY. Again I had no intention of drinking, my friend was having a one drink and we ended up leaving LIT. It was so fun! Our waiter took great care of us and all the staff was engaging. I went to use the restroom before leaving and the inside of the restaurant is definitely a party with high energy vibes and live DJ. It's nice they have inside if you want that party atmosphere or the patio that's more laid back but like o said that party is going to find you!! I'd definitely return to The Lola.

Birthday Martini, they swapped Bailey's in because they were out of the strawberry liqueur that their recipe calls for.

Downstairs host was nice, asked if we wanted to eat upstairs or down. We decided upstairs. They just told us to head up and talk with the host. We went up. Someone from the bar did shout hi! There was no host seen. There was a handful of workers chatting at the bar even the downstairs host came up and walked by us to join the group chatting. Upstairs had 2 tables of 6-10 people, a handful of small parties outside. We stood there for 4-5 minutes before someone in a St. Patrick's day outfit running food said someone would be with us shortly. Waited another few minutes before the host emerged from the bathroom and sat us. Both my husband and I waited tables and I bartended before (10 years experience). We have a lot of patience and understanding. We were sat and not immediately greeted but a woman came up and quickly dropped water off. Her body language was dismissive and only said just "dropping off water". I really thought it might have been another host or busser, that was tired of getting mistaken for a sever. I brushed it off. We waited so much longer before our server (happened to be the same girl that dropped off the water) came back to take our drink order. She was cold and didn't make eye contact. She was very short with us. Left to put the drink order in. She did bring the kids their soft drinks, but again with an attitude. It was as if we were ruining her day by coming in. 10 min went by. In that time, we saw her walk by and again avoid eye contact. Not even a "your bar drinks are being made", or "I am just going to run these dishes back and come back to take your order. " A really nice bartender came back and started talking with us about baseball because we were coming from a spring training game. After waiting longer and still no sign our server was going to come back in a timely manner, I told my husband, that I would rather leave now and not let this server ruin our experience. There are plenty of places around that I would rather give my money too and they will treat us better. We left, on our way out we did let a manager know. They did apologized and asked where we were sitting. Two stars for the nice female bartender that was decked out in St. Patrick's day attire upstairs. Rating is strictly for service because we didn't get to try anything. I am willing to give this place another try. I will update my review if we do.
