I was very happy with the personal attention I got in selecting a boot and the communication about mounting my old blades onto them. I actually came here this past weekend after searching for a local place that sold Aventon bikes. I…read morehad been researching the Aventon Level 3 online and was really hoping to be able to pick one up that weekend so I could use this summer, especially since gas prices have gone up and I can commute with it around Bayview to everywhere I need to go. When I walked in Jeremy greeted me and asked if I needed any assistance. I had already saw that they had the Aventon Sorella 3 and the Aventon Level 3 and 4 step-through bikes. So I asked him if the store had any Level 3 step overs and Jeremy said, "yes, we actually have one black one left, want me to bring it up?" I said sure--as that was the exact one and color I wanted. Jeremy brought up the bike and let me test ride it and let me just say that I knew after about 10 minutes that I was going to buy that bike. He let me know that the e-bike needed to get checked before I could pay for it and ride off into the sunset and luckily we had time to explore the store and I was able to take it home about 30 minutes later. Not only did he explain everything about the bike that I needed to know to safely operate it but he also answered all my questions about the tires and things that I never had to deal with on my triathlon bike. I have already ridden it about 15 miles and I cannot believe how much I would love an e-bike! Because it was the Holiday weekend,any hope of finding someone open was unlikely, but as luck would have it Trailside was open,even though they aren't very close to my house, I decided to give them a try,what a great decision it was.I stopped in on Sunday (they were open11-3) and took my squeaking bike in,expecting the worse.There was a very nice man working (he apparently drew the short straw) and he said what I was thinking, it was probably the rear hub bearing needing replacement,so I left it and it would take approximately 3-4 days,no problem, but a real bummer, as I was hoping to get in a few rides this weekend. I left and got in my car to leave,when all of a sudden, there was a knock at my window.There was the the bike repairer,with my bike in hand.He informed me, all it was,was a spring on my rear brakes that had been tripped and was grinding the wheel(don't know how I missed that,but I did).He had fixed it and said there was no charge! I was dumbfounded.He saved my weekend and I was able to get in several good rides,thanks to him.I only wish I had gotten his name to personally thank him.I will definitely seek them out for work in the future.Recommended.

There are minimal options of colors in specific gear and sizes. When ordering specific gear through them, expect a week or more wait for arrival of order. You can find a lot of the gear they offer online for similar or cheaper prices with quicker shipping. A majority of the sticks are top of the line (most expensive) and have signs of use from kids "testing" them for extended periods of time in their shooting area. If you use a popular stick specification such as hand, curve, or flex, you most commonly will not find the stick you're looking for. A standard skate sharpening has been raised to $10 and you should only expect a good sharpening from specific employees. In the long run, buying a Sparx or asking a friend to use their Sparx would be more cost effective. Besides the owner and a couple of the full time employees, most of the employees are high schoolers with little knowledge of sizing and information about the gear they are selling. Overall, I do not recommend shopping or working at Hockey Haven.
