Since bringing her home, she has been coughing continuously. After spending an additional $906 on veterinary visits and diagnostic testing, we are hopeful that she is finally on the road to recovery. Four weeks later, she is still coughing quite a bit, although her appetite has improved significantly. I understand that breeders need to establish policies and guidelines when selling puppies. However, every reputable breeder I have worked with in the past has required a veterinary examination within the first three days of bringing the puppy home and has provided health coverage for issues identified within the first 14 days. The reason for these policies is simple: responsible breeders do not want to place sick puppies in their new homes and are willing to stand behind the health of the animals they sell. This experience has been both emotionally and financially difficult, and I am disappointed that no responsibility has been taken for a condition that was clearly present when we brought our puppy home.

I had left instructions of how much to feed her, vet name and number, emergency vet number, etc. , etc. And this is after Devin came into my apartment and I had gone over everything with her! Devin texted me, took pictures and gave me a detailed description of how Mia was doing when I was gone. She cleaned her kitty litter, tried to play with her and even gave her treats! Mia hid from her but by the second day she actually came out of her hiding place. When Devin texted me that, it made me so happy! I did not worry at all about how Mia was doing by being alone because I knew that she was in good hands. I really enjoyed myself without having to be stressed out! It was so wonderful. Though not our regular veterinarian, we have visited CVS on two occasions for emergency services…read moreafter hours. One for a dog bite that required surgery and a wound drain and the other most recent for a copperhead bite to the face. The girl at the front desk, Abby (I think) was kind and got us in quickly for the copperhead bite. Obviously some emergencies are more urgent than others but we felt that our pup was tended to quickly and calmly for a snake bite. Dr. Morris and our vet tech (I didn't catch her name, but a sweet younger girl) was also very nice, explained everything to us in detail and gave us options that included leaving her overnight for observation and extra bloodwork or taking her back with us that same night. We ultimately chose to leave her overnight to ensure she received the best care. We picked her up the next morning and she was calm but doing really well! We were provided an estimate range before leaving that night based on the low end care needed and high end care if they needed to administer anti-venom. Luckily she didn't need the anti-venom and we actually ended up being charged $200 less than the low end estimate. We felt the price was more than fair for after hours emergency care. Hopefully we don't have to use them for anything else, but it is extremely nice knowing they are right around the corner from our home and are available 24/7 for freak emergencies.

The three animals said they had a fantastic time at their doggie spa. They are so happy - we LOVE Sherrill and her team. The groomer did an amazing job on our Bichon and our Schnauzer. I highly recommend PAWS and we definitely will have them care for our pets again. We also have them for home visits for our shorter times away- and we love them for that as well. Very reasonable rates too.

Very affordable - would definitely go back! My pup acted completely normal after pick up which was reassuring that she was comfortable.
