This shop is awesome. We were stranded with a dead transmission two days before Thanksgiving while visiting Yucca Valley. The kind folks at this shop were able to get us in the shop on the day before the holiday and finished the install of a new transmission that day. It was divine timing that worked out in our favor. Carrie in the office had excellent communication during the entire repair. We were back on the road lickety split. I did drive the truck around town and about an hour away in the days following to test it out but i didn't notice that there still was an issue with the truck until we arrived home, several hours away. Well, sorry if you had a transmission put in 10 months ago, they aren't honoring their warranties. My warranty said 12 months or 12,000 miles. It's only been 10 months and 3,000 miles and they are telling me the new "owners" are not honoring the old warranties. Even though this was less than a year ago. Buyer beware. I lost my job in May 2021 due to Covid and I needed a new transmission. Carrie was wonderful in helping me as I found a transmission through a company they work with and it was the cheapest bid $3238.64. EXCITED, I was about to set up the appointment when Carrie told me HER BOSS refused to purchase the transmission using his wholesale license and I had to get it. WTF??? I don't have a wholesale license and explained that to Carrie. She said her boss refused to help me. I asked her if he would consider a "random act of kindness" given my lack of employment. She called me back and said, "My boss said, NO." I was SHOCKED and then she said, he would do it for an extra $500. WOW! Really!! I would NEVER recommend this place as it is a SCAM. So many people lost loved ones to Covid and this business clearly has no compassion. Side Note: I see the owner addressed my Yelp. You will notice that he DID NOT refute ANY of my claims and sidetracked the entire issue. The FACT is HE could have purchased the transmission at the cost I found it at, but refused to do so and the computer did not "automatically" add the added amount. HE DID. IT was HIS COMPUTER. Checked fluids on my old 1991 Silverado after not touching it for over 6 months. Found my transmission fluid at the very tip of the dip stick. Looked under and found a leak. I found this company on Yelp and went off the reviews. I called for a walk in, they accepted, i got there and explained the situation and right away after looking at it, i believe it was Eddie? Or Freddie? Said it needed a regular adjustment and gasket replacements. The truck has 220k miles and still running The transmission service and fluid replacement took a little over an hour. New gaskets, new fluid, and replacement parts. It was a good price. The young lady at the desk was also friendly. This is my 2 week review. Maintenance is very important. Make sure to maintain your transmission just like you do your motor! read more

Sloppy work. My dad took their transmission to them to be rebuilt. They agreed to fix it in two weeks, but after they could not find the rebuild kit (after two months). When he called them to check on the transmission and/or pick it up they told they told him they could not fix it (they could not find the parts), returned the transmission to him with broken housing (which they broke) and charged him $300. Highly recommend Freddy's shop. My Eurovan broke down on the Monday before Thanksgiving and Freddy got it done but Thursday (yes, Thanksgiving). Driving back to Colorado now and feel secure on the rebuilt transmission. Eurovans have a tricky transmission but I felt comfortable in this crew's knowledge and sense of urgency. I typed a full review on Google (maps), unfortunately Yelp doesn't let me paste it here and it's a bit too long for me to type again. But if they did the Eurovan they can do your car. Run from this place! Their diagnosis was WRONG and not only would have cost me over $500, but wouldn't fix the problem! Plus Fred promised to provide a ride home, but when I asked for a receipt since I was leaving my vehicle, he said he wouldn't give me a ride afterall since I didn't trust him and it took him more time to make a receipt! We are so blessed to have found Transmission Expects. We jumped in our motorhome and headed on our vacation from Northern California to Arizona. On our travels my husband,noticed a small transmission leak. And realized we would soon have a big problem. He called around to transmission shops. My husband knew when he talked to Freddy (the owner)on the phone he was honest and knowledgeable. Definitely the man to go to! After removing the transmission. Highly questionable practices with Freddy and his shop! I took my Rav4 toyota in to his shop - as the transmission was slipping occasionally. He told me it was $120 to checkout what was going on. A week later he tells me I need a transmission rebuild and that hes pulled apart my transmission. I was backed into a corner to use his shop to rebuild the tranny as he informed me it would be $1200 to put back the transmission as is. I agreed, 3 months later and twice built he couldnt get it right. I got the automotive bureau involved at this point, who told him to give the car and the money I paid back to him. I went to transmission experts in yucca valley to get my transfer case filler bolt replaced an fluid added to my transfer case. Picked it up on 3/17 paid $175 for the bill. Went down the road to get a coffee noticed that there was fluid coming out from underneath the truck crawled underneath it,the fluid was leaking from the transfer case on the right side,missing bolt an possibly gasket wasn't going because of how bad the leak is. I end up getting it towed home. I called the next morning to the office. To explain my situation,I just get arguments from the office lady an a technician,about how they don't need my little money haha so rude still good enough to take. I was just trying to explain my situation an ask about the transfer case fluid that looked straight black and that the leak was Soo severe had to be towed. Over the phone at third person was on the phone it was a technician from him explaining he didn't see the leak.thanks to the third person on the phone that actually was talking to me normally.all I was trying to do is explain my situation an ask why the fluid was black like was it forgetting to get replaced with new or what. I got start arguments on that . An letting me drive off with severe leak to where I just had to get it towed. I'm never doing any type of work with them. One situation tried to get resolved an just got arguments from the office lady super unprofessional an rude. I probably would have went back to get my transfer case replaced or other work.
