Drop my car first thing 8 o'clock. They took down all my comments about the car and said they would call if anything was of concerned. I did not get a call. I called around 2:30. They said apart was being transported so I waited again and went there by 4:30 dropped off my rental car, which was right there. Everything was great. I'm not sure who worked on my car but it's running great. My mileage is up between 35 and 40 mpg I do have a hybrid. All the value of what they do is so much better than the dealership because they're actually looking at the car each individual car. At the dealership, you don't have a choice they don't speak to you. They don't listen to your concerns about your vehicle they treat every car the same at the dealer. I'm so glad I found Ultimate Motors. I've been twice for an oil change a tuneup and a battery change all the service was done well. I appreciate it so much. read more

Nothing wrong with the screw holes, you admitted that you didn't even have the right kind of screws so why not just give the part back instead of trying to force it and break it? How many weeks has it been since I first called you about ordering that part anyway? And the reason I didn't tell you about it until three weeks later is because Mike didn't tell me he broke it when he put it in the car while I was STANDING RIGHT THERE! He let it go off your lot without telling me he broke it and it had been towed to my carport because it wasn't registered. Thats dishonesty at its finest. And regarding the list of tasks, you never actually finished any of them and never even told me why the brake light was on, nor did you try to fix it or tell me what was wrong with it. And you literally told me to go ahead and drive the hell out of the car because ultimately it needed a new transmission. It's unfortunate that you have a giant Volkswagen emblem on your building because if you actually had someone who really knew about diagnosing a Volkswagen you would've known that it was the transmission control module that was causing it to go into limp mode and not the actual transmission. And also that the check engine light not turn off because of that? there was also no way I could register the car with it on, until the transmission issue was fixed, but did anyone tell me that? Nope. When my car sits up there for almost a year and I'm giving you a task list and you don't perform any of the tasks, yes I am definitely disappointed and it shouldn't take a year for me to pick the car up and every time I tried to start the car it wouldn't start which was one of the reasons I didn't pick it up on more than one occasion. You said you had to do some stupid jiggling thing when you put the key in the ignition which is complete BS, when in fact it just needed a new ignition switch, but apparently fixing my car was clearly at the bottom of your priority list. And yes I admit I was a pain in Jamie's ass but she never gives a straight answer either, she literally told me that you were on a test drive when I was standing AT the desk when in fact you were actually in the shop. At least I have enough integrity to admit when I'm wrong. Also wondering why you would buy a year-old battery to begin with but let's face it- you probably purchased that battery because it was cheaper than buying a new one and you figured I would just have it swapped out by AAA or I wouldn't notice. Again pretty shady shit. Every time I think that you are a decent company you never cease to amaze me with some other dishonest thing or you put me off for weeks at a time like you have getting the part that Mike said he had ordered a month ago. And yet Jamie told me that SHE ordered the part - so which is it? And you wonder why I call and get upset? There's no such thing as transparency when it comes to you guys. And if you really want to get into it I'm wondering why you charged me $30 for gas which would damn near fill the tank of a 2002 VW, and why I received it empty? Or are you telling me that you drove my car 300 miles because thats what the mileage was when I dropped it off. Funny that the mileage in and the mileage out are exactly the same too which seems a little shady, And it was wasn't the mileage that it was when I dropped it off. Need I Say more? First, im going to address a comment that mentioned that there is a long wait. There is a quote which I have used in the past and the shop has displayed. Good, cheap and fast... pick 2. Second, I took my 2013 jeep wrangler with 82,000 miles to this shop for the dreaded lifter tick. I dropped off on a Wednesday afternoon ahead of my appointment that coming Monday. By Friday late morning, they called to tell me what needed to be done and the cost. By late Tuesday morning it was finished. It was there almost a week but it was completed in 2 days.. not counting the weekend. It wasn't cheap but they fixed what I needed. Btw... the cost was on par for what I had expected Great! I had originally taken to another local shop a couple weeks prior which they claimed they don't have the tools To fix the tick. But they had no peoblem taking 1500 to fix another issue. Terribly Slow & Terribly Incompetent. This shop has seriously gone downhill in the last two years. Half the time they give me my car back they haven't fixed the problem, and every time it's there for weeks on end. The office staff is great, but there's obviously a management problem because they can't keep good techs staffed--creating huge delays and bad service. Do not make the same mistake that we made! Do NOT have your car towed here unless you have a couple days to wait. They must be good because they were extremely busy but they couldn't even give us an estimate as to how long it could take. Our car broke down on the way out of town so the towing service asked us where we wanted to go and mentioned this place because they are associated with AAA so we said ok. We got a motel room for the night and called first thing. Unfortunately they had so many appointments they said they could not even give us an idea as to when they could look at our car. For Over two months I took my SUV to this shop promised that my problem would be fixed, I took my car to there shop for the first time telling them about my car thinking that there was something wrong with it, they said they repaired it gave me the 2,300$ bill and said everything was fine. I stopped by as the check engine light was on. i was told to make an appointment to read the computer in my car. So the soonest appointment was 3 weeks away. 3 weeks away. I asked if it was safe to drive, and the rude man said "Does it start? if so drive it" how can he tell me it is safe to drive if he doesn't know what is wrong with it? I waited the 3 weeks for the appointment and I was there promptly when they opened at least 5 people were ahead of me (all to check the "check engine light" I was told to leave my car for days, it was a Thursday and they weren't going to have time on Friday, but they said I would need to leave my car with them til;l they could look at the "Check engine light Codes". I walked out quite angry as i waited 3 weeks to leave it there? To make a long story short, I have owned a 2004 Jaguar XJ8 for 3 years now. Before I got the Jag Bug, I owned a 2008 VW Jetta. Sometime around 2014 I started taking my Jetta to Ultimate Motors. I was content with the service they provided. They charge a premium price for that service, but if they do a good job, then it's worth it. They did well with the Jetta. But, their service to the Jaguar has been less than lackluster. And more recently, for every part they fix they break two. Case in point: In September I took the XJ8 to have the radiator replaced. Ultimate Motors (UM) flagged the radiator with a slow leak 3 years ago when they replaced the transmission. In my defense, the leak required a few cups of antifreeze a month, so I put it off until I could regroup from a $3k expense of the many fixes UM made before they were ready to replace the transmission and its ultimate cost. I was planning a cross country trip in the car, so one of the many things I wanted to have trust in was the radiator, since we'd be crossing a lot of desert and high altitude country. UM replaced the old radiator with a new one. Unfortunately, they broke the clip portion of my air baffle (a single mold part - meaning you can't replace the clip since it's part of the mold of the baffle). So, Mike, the manager, leads me on for 3 weeks saying they are trying to get the part but can't. Of course, eBay has them all over their sight as OEM and new. This problem has me distracted from the fact that my temperature gauge isn't working. The part they accepted breaking has yet to be replaced by them. On my cross country trip on the first day out, between Kingman, AZ and Holbrook, AZ, warnings started popping up: "Restricted Performance" showed up on the warning screen, the Engine Light came on, and the non-functioning thermostat gauge shot up to the far red zone. I pulled over on I-40 in the middle of nowhere with semis flying by on an 8% grade at 7,000 feet asl. The car was not overheated. It was just reacting, come to find out 4 days later from the Jaguar dealership in Albuquerque, to the thermostat that was broken and not replaced. Now the thermostat was working when I took the car to UM. But it wasn't the day I got it back. I called and talked to Mike on the day the Jaguar dealership in Albuquerque fixed the problem UM caused and advised him of my discontent with the predicament they placed me in by their inferior service. Mike tried to pass me off to their insurance company. I called the Insurance Company and was advised that if it wasn't a part they replaced then the insurance didn't apply. When I returned home, I went to UM and talked to Mike. I requested that they take some responsibility for either breaking the thermostat or ignoring that it no longer worked. I accepted that I should bear the cost of the thermostat and the 4 nights in a hotel while we waited for the part to arrive and be replaced. UM should take some financial responsibility for the $450 I had to shell out for the labor. Mike said he would talk to Adam, the owner, that day, and he'd call me back. Four days later I called since I hadn't heard from Mike. Another 3 days later I get a text requesting my email address. I supply it. There I am advised that Adam has no interest in remunerating me for any losses. I believe that people who get paid to provide a service should take responsibility for their product. Adam apparently doesn't hold to a similar standard. Now, for someone who had an understanding of "goodwill", that person might have suggested that a credit be applied for future labor done at their establishment to try and make a client whole, when there was obvious unsatisfactory service provided by his company. Then that client who owns a car that needs regular and expensive maintenance would regain trust, if the service people could stop breaking stuff, and remain a paying customer. There is a childishness that doesn't meet the standards of ethical behavior, or adult responsibility exemplified by both Adam and Mike in this instance. I can't rely on people who show no integrity and who have proven themselves untrustworthy. I'll find somewhere else to get my Jaguar serviced. (As a side note, I have spoked to 17 acquaintances about this event. 15 of the 17 have told me that UM is reputedly the worst auto repair service in the Basin. The other two swear by them.) read more

I have been living in Yucca Valley for awhile now and have found Ultimate Motors to be the best repair shop in the area. They get to your car and issues on a timely basis and have the parts installed the next day. They don't try to address issues other than the repairs you asked for and their prices are reasonable. I was told over the phone my vehicle was just moved in to bay on Monday and on weds they told me they should have a answer by the end of day. I take no joy in writing a negative comment, but the condescending way I was treated and the 'stories' I was told about the status and quality of the repairs made me do it. I am still in shock that I was treated this way. What makes me even more angry is that a when presented with the facts that the response was, 'well, we are never going to make you happy, so you should just leave'. And now the story .... I called and asked for my car to have its oil change and for a safety check. The woman who took my call was rather short with me and obviously wanted me off the phone. I was told that there was an opening at 8:00 on Thursday morning. I mentioned that I would need to drop it off the night before - 'fine', I was told,'there is a drop box'. I dropped the car off (parked right in front of the front door), and then noticed there was an envelop for the key. I filled it out, and deposited the key in the door slot. I did not realize that there was an envelop so I typed the note below so they could see it in the morning - my name, cell, and the issues with the car. And then I waited today for a call. I finally called at 2PM asking what the status of the car was and when I could come and pick it up. I was told that it was #6 in line and that they would get to it when they could. I asked why was I told to have it there at 8AM if this was the case. I could have dropped it off later. I was then told that they have not had a chance to see what is wrong with the car to fix it. I then said that it was in for an oil change and a safety and a couple of other things - it runs just fine. I said that if it was not started by 4PM that I would come and pick it up and we could try another day. I decided to head over around 3:30 (I got a ride since it is about 10 miles from house) and sit and wait with my Kindle and read until it was done. I sat down in the waiting room and started to read since nobody was in the office. When someone came in (name withheld) I identified myself as the guy with the silver Rabbit. I was told that the car was just being washed and that it was ready to go. I was happy! I asked about the repairs and the estimates. I was then told that they had no idea to whom the car belonged since they could not read the writing on the envelop. OK, my writing is not the best, but they did manage to get my name, cell, and address somewhere (from the envelop) since it is on the receipt I was given. I was told that I did not ask for an air-conditioning diagnostic, but yet, one turned up surprisingly in the end. I was then told I was lucky that I was not charged since they cost $120. I asked if the light was fixed since there is an indicator on the dashboard saying one is out. 'Yes, all the lights on the car work since the technician verified them'. I was told that I perhaps had mixed-up the daytime running light with a fault indicator (see below). Wouldn't you think this was part of a safety check? Asked if the windshield wiper fluid motor was checked, I was told they did not know about it (on sheet below). I was then told that the wiper blades were too worn so the technician did not want to use the wipers since it would scratch my windshield. Really? In summary, the front office team was very unprofessional and rude. Everything seemed to be my fault from not identifying the light being out when I made the appointment to my hand writing. When presented with the photo of the fault light, I was told that it was the technician who screwed up. So, although I would love to say to go to this shop, I cannot. For the quality of the work and the misinformation I was given, I think that I am going to have the car undergo a safety at another establishment - one that I can have a higher level of trust. read more

Horrible prices. Their customer service is awful. I would have rather gone to any other mechanic in that area but they were the only mechanic. I had a break down and needed a checkup up to see what was wrong. They offered an engine replacement for 5k. I wouldn't have minded that part but they completely left me in the dark. I would like to thank Tyler and the mechanics at Ultimate Motors. I drove into the shop on the morning yesterday because my Winnebago View RV brakes had suddenly become so much it was hard to stop! Which is not only very scary but very dangerous! I had been to 3 other places prior and no one could help me! So when Tyler told me they were booked solid til August 2nd I literally broke down in uncontrollable tears! How embarrassing but if you knew the back story you'd understand! Hahaha I think Tyler felt bad for me and told me to park in the back and he'd have some one look at ASAP! Turns out I needed a new master cylinder! So they ordered it and it arrived the next morning! Adam: Responding back to your comment regarding Jesses truck. Speaking of intelligence, as the owner I would assume you would get your facts straight before publicly lying. Mike was aware of the very detailed root issue. I also shared everything with you when you picked me up. Before that you knew nothing about the situation. You were Informed it had NOTHING to do with a faulty jump. As I told everyone, the root issue was well before any jump was attempted. I can assure you it was NOT a faulty jump. Just because none of you could figure out the issue doesn't mean you make you up something is fabricated. Each time I came in with detailed information and no one was showing me intelligence of tracking the situation. After a double charge of a diagnostic I was stuck $240 and assured the problem would be fixed for any of $3000. The ONLY reason we kept bringing it back is the money we had invested. You had to personally pick me up due to me breaking down after picking up the "repaired truck" just a mile down the road (IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INtERsECTION)! First I'm told no idea why jt would do that later being told it's a "common Toyota thing to reset". Well its your responsibility to make sure the truck resets before putting anyone in danger. Clearly this shows it wasn't test driven and no mileage was doc of a test drive. Please be transparent with honesty here. It was 48 miles for you round trip for you. We made 6 trips round trip ourselves which is 288 miles. The horn was a secondary issue. The reason for bringing was the radio wasn't working. In which you yourself saw on our drive back together. And I asked you about it. Mike tried to claim it was an existing issue and sent me home. He told me to bring the truck back later because since you picked me up I didn't have a ride back home. I overheard the whole whispering conversation that was had in the back. The radio was put in wrong TWO times!! I missed work again to pick it up. I paid, was ready to leave and needed to get back to work asap and the radio was on the truck seat! Mike was first mad that it was not done then lied to Jesse when confronted later saying they were still working on it. Went to leave again and it wasn't in correctly and tyler said "it's the way we found it". No....Tyler...it was in upside down!! Tyler did put it back in but Jesse had to take it back weeks later because it was still in incorrect! That much be the "go to" error response there. "That's how you brought it in". Two trips alone were the radio that wasn't working due to your repairs. It just never ended with mistakes that no one could own. You claim the truck broke down with "no fuel" but the same issue has occurred since when the tank has been full. When the alternator you provided failed we were stuck with one vehicle, again affecting work and pay. Understand not everyone can constantly work around a "8-5" business due to things being their fault, (that locks their doors at 4:45) also while working a full time job and spouse being deployed. I lost ALL my personal leave from work due to this. Understand how this affects peoples lives. Also I had to ask friends 3 times for rides because Jesse was deployed. When the alternator failed due to a faulty alternator y'all ordered (which was also a wait time in wrong parts ordered) jesse asked for proof of y'all ordering new alternators and Mike could not offer that. Were the alternators put in even new? Where is our old one? This is not adding up when there can't be proof. AND the alternator you put in the first time failed leaving us broke down AGAIN!! When I dropped the truck off for the radio the first time it was before 5:00. I told Mike I was getting there right before 5:00. The truck was left out front Adam!! Not in a fence! I later checked to see. Let's talk about intelligence here. You think a 6 foot fence keeps people out?? Fence or not, here is someone in the photos we caught breaking into the fence and stealing parts one day at your shop. The only day we randomly drive by just to check on his truck and lo and behold what do we see? I would think in this society a business owner would know to check these things when you keep peoples vehicles for months at a time. Oh and also the tow truck driver told me one of the times he picked me up, he saw the truck not in the fence. I would hope you're not lying and you just don't have a clue what the people at your business are doing. Tyler ensured me many times I would get parts requested. It's ironic as busy as y'all claim to be you're not busy enough to hurry and toss Parts. Super sketchy. Seeing your responses on other peoples reviews and my experience it doesn't seem your business can own up to mistakes. My car was towed in for brake repair at the suggestion of the AAA representative I spoke with. Per The CA Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) investigation I had to file after they had my car for weeks and ultimately ruined the braking system - Ultimate Motors was found to be fraudulent, negligent, to have performed unauthorized repairs/replaced unnecessary parts, and refused to return all requested parts to me. My car is currently undriveable and has proven to be a challenge to get repaired elsewhere because of the negligent work performed on it and the condition they left it in after returning it to me. Please note...they are also a "AAA Approved Repair Facility" which apparently means nothing as far as upholding the strict AAA Approved Auto Repair Program criteria for technician certification and customer satisfaction. read more

They also will not repair an item you bring in, why? I presume they want to charge you the extra $$ to remove the item from the car so they make more money. They were going to replace the part a week later without going over the cost first. When I went to pick up the car they said it's out front and handed me the keys. Ultimate Motors has literally saved my automotive life more than once. Friendly, experienced staff that doesn't make promises they can't or won't keep. Estimates are never far off from the final bill, scheduling is the same. I've had unexpected issues, both on older foreign cars - a Saab and a Mercedes- and they had good solutions and gave me realistic advice. Also, I'm not a full time resident of the area, but they've treated me as if I were a local who's been coming in for years. These other reviews? Condescending? Rude? Unprofessional. They charges me 130.00 for them to tell me how much they would charge for the repair I needed. Basically 130.00 FOR A QUOTE and they did not inform me when i made the appointment that they were going to charge 130.00 only after I could not do the repair because it was too expensive! I question the charge and the guy at the counter got "offended" that I questioned the charge. I told him I should have been informed about this before they did the "work" of giving me a price. He then began to tell me " I dont work for free. I told him i should have been informed they they were going to charge me for a quote. I felt cheated. They are not honest and took advantage of me. The worst part was him telling me I was cheating HIM and that it was my fault because I called THEM. Awful experience. Don't trust them. They don't tell you their bogus charges up front and then they play the victim. Never again. It was so childish and unprofessional the way they treat their "customers" who they don't care one bit about. read more

Do not bring your vehicle into this shop ever. These guys should not be in business especially when there is ZERO supervision to ensure the job is actually being done. I just had my truck towed in here for the 6th time in the last 4 1/2 months. YES 6 times and you might ask why i keep having it taken here, well because i have spent up to $3,000 in repairs by these crooks who take advantage of hard working people and especially military personnel. They ordered wrong parts, installed items in my truck wrong, check engine light on as soon as i pick it up, left my truck outside their compound allowing my truck to get broken into, told me i was out of gas when it was my BRAND NEW alternator or so they say NEW, threw away my battery that had a warranty on it, threw away parts i specifically said i wanted. Ive spent so much time on this place that i understand their operation and its sick. Tyler is the "tell you what you wanna hear guy" aka "car salesman" and Mike is just absolutely worthless as a manager so he hands you off to Tyler to sweet talk you. I have requested to speak to Adam "Owner" on several occasions but i get the run around every time from Mike. Talking to every tow truck driver who has towed my truck back to this place, they tell me more and more vehicles are getting towed back to the shop right after getting their vehicles back. If your a WOMAN do not take your vehicle here alone because they will pull things over on you "FACT". I have taken days off work and spent so much gas money on going back and forth for all the negligence with this place. Mike also verbatim told me their so busy they cant keep up with whats going on in the shop and whats been done or not done several times, like oil change! They say it was changed but never had it annotated it was and i got charged, thats just one example. Took my car in to have the clutch replaced 2012 jetta tdi 50,000 miles fully serviced vehicle.. After receiving the car back noticed a lot of vibration coming from motor and noticed they gave me a new battery.. Took it back they fixed the vibration never replaced my old battery. About 500 miles after clutch service my ecu and starter fried cause they put someone elses battery into my vehicle(someone was smoked out or something) (tweakers). They replaced with right battery and fixed all issues. Now 3 months later only 1000 miles after clutch install my clutch is making weird noises and motor is shaking. Took in in today 4/6/22 and they denied to work on my car or honor there warranty cause i told a customer to go to rons automotive so they wouldnt have to wait until the end of the month for a oil change. Person behind counter was a little coward named tyler. See you in court soon pansies thanks for a messing up a perfectly good car before it sat in your lousy ass shop.they also charged me double for the cost of parts (clutch kit and flywheel) and 2 dings on my door cause they part there vehicles so close to one another. My Honda Fit was way overdue for needed maintenance. This included changing all the fluids except the gas tank and windshield washer fluid, replacing all the struts, cleaning the fuel injectors and replacing the cabin air filter.
