It was right before Thanksgiving and they took care of my car issue in less that a week, meanwhile I took it to the dealer before hand and it took them a week to tell me what was wrong with my car, they also didn't fix the issue that I took it in for, but instead they took it upon themselves to do other work on the car that I didn't ask them to do and billed me for it, the total cost was about $1,800 dollars and my car was in the same condition that I brought it into them for. To make matter worse, they wanted to charge me $6.800 dollars to replace my transmissions on top of what they had already charge me. A total rip off the deader are especially when the warranty has expired. I had a choice as to where I wanted to take my vehicle for servicing, but I chose N & M Transmissions because it was local to where I live, and I'm glad I did. Not only did they display great technical knowledge about transmissions, but they impressed me with their honesty, a rare commodity with auto mechanics these days. They explained everything to me in great detail so that I knew everything they were doing or planning to do, so there were no surprises. They're honest mechanic, they also told me about some other issues that I had with my car that the dealer should had taken care of. This repair facility has been around 30 years, and there main focus is transmission repair. They have the computers to program newer cars, and service all makes, and models. Our car was drivable, but he advised me not to drive the car from Hackensack Ford Dealer to Roselle, he would tow the car at no charge. Had AAA tow the car, Matthew's team got to working on the car right away. Every step of the way, Matthew checked in with me daily, very honest. He told me the fees as he progressed, always keeping me in the loop. *Matthew followed up with me daily, they had our car ready on the day, he said it would be ready. *Very happy with the price, no junk yard parts, all new parts with a warranty at a fraction of the price Ford charges. Chatgpt tells me its most likely a leak and I saw a puddle under the car before I towed it. Ian, the manager, calls me and tells me the transmission needs to be rebuilt and the fluid is fill. Cost:$3900 - $4900. Something felt off because I literally saw the puddle of fluid and I towed to another shop (Sal Transmission on Stillwell). Turns out it was just a leak. Sal sealed it and topped it off. Cost: $235 Dolphin tried to take me for $4500 so this review for anybody considering going here. Beware!

They brought it to Dolphin transmissions for this reason and told them about both things. After 2 days of waiting, they get a call back saying the car is ready. Once they arrive they were prompted to pay $600 for the "service" they did on the car. Once the $600 was paid, they told them they parked the car over 5 blocks away and they had to go and retrieve the car. Once my parents got back to the Toyota and started it up, all the same things that they brought the car in for were still coming up on the dashboard and the tire was even flatter. They went back to Dolphin Transmissions to get an explanation as to why everything was the same exact way they dropped off the car and all the owner replied with was that "there was a clanking sound and we fixed the sound, no one told us about the maintenance required." When you turn on the car on every screen it says maintenance required so why else would they be bringing the car to you? My parents said this to them and they just replied with "no one told us about it, but it's saying that because it needs an oil change and we can do it for you for an extra $150." So then they said "what about the flat tire? Do I have to tell you to fix that too?" They were left speechless. My parents left and a day later Dolphin transmissions called them back promising to fix everything for free. What a joke. My parents are older folks who were clearly taken advantage of, had I known their car needed service I would have brought it to my guy to get it fixed same day. Stay Away !
