TONY really knows his stuff but when I talk to him about getting my valve body fixed and then I reconstructed it before with a shift kit. He ended up just adding another valve body instead of just replacing the solenoids which would have been cheaper. Instead of calling me to confirm what his team would do they just decided to add another valve body charging me $1000. In the future I would have liked him to call me to let me know what would be done and yes you can add other OEM solenoids from another valve body or using the ones I had and getting the caps put on better so they don't fall off in the future. I would have felt that would have been more honest towards me. read more

I am conflicted writing this review because initially we were thrilled with our experience but here is the story of our recent transaction...my wife and I were expecting twins in December so we bought a 2018 Ford Expedition. Well 3 months into ownership we started experiencing major transmission issues, about 75k miles on the rig. Being that we were expecting and the due date was rapidly approaching we were freaking out a little bit. We had an appt with the ford dealer but we couldn't get in until after the due date, that wasn't going to work obviously. We called Tony and he said to bring it by. He quickly diagnosed the issue to be more than likely a failing valve body which had been a common issue in these models. He said they would order the part and service the vehicle in about a weeks time. We were thrilled! What a relief that was and Tony was doing us a major favor with great customer service! So right after we get the vehicle back, my wife goes into the hospital with preterm labor. Luckily we have the vehicle now and we are told to drive it easy as it needs to relearn shift points and whatnot. The transmission was not shifting smoothly but it was somewhat better so we were giving it time. After a couple weeks, I drove it to OHSU for our daughters appt, I lost 10th gear for the whole trip and it was throwing codes on 5th and 7th while putting the vehicle in a low power state. I called Tony and he says bring it by...I finally am able to bring it by with everything else going on. He drives it while hooked up to a reader to see what codes are being issued. He notices the malfunction still and tells me he needs to call another guy and then we'll come up with a game plan to fix the issue again. I agree, no problem. I've appreciated all the help up to this point. I don't hear from the shop for a little over a week so I call and talked to a person for Tony to call me back. No call back. I called a few days later and left a voicemail. No response. I called another few days later and talked to Tony. He didn't really remember our situation which I can somewhat understand so I remind him and he says oh yes, let me look at my notes and call you back. I agree and still have not heard back and it's been weeks. So at this point, I'm way too busy with newborns to track them down and resolve this issue. The transmission problems have gotten worse again since service, we are out $1460 dollars they charged us and we are unable to drive the vehicle until our next appt at the dealer in 2 more weeks. So overall I'm extremely disappointed with the 2nd half of our experience, communication has been quite poor and I feel the customer service after transaction was completely ignored. I will not take another vehicle back here. read more

If you have a transmission problem, i would bypass the other transmission shops and go to Transmission Solutions. They are honest and will only charge you for what needs to be done. I have been in there a couple times. Just recently I changed out fluid/filter and pan for my transmission and ever since it had a rough downshift at about 27 mph. This is very common (see dodge forums). When I went into the shop to ask about getting this checked, they helped me out even though they were booked out OVER 3 WEEKS!!! He did a relearn process for my transmission and now it runs great with no rough downshift! The price was also much cheaper than going to a dealer! I am very satisfied with my service from them! I will not go to any transmission shop except Transmission Solutions. read more

This review is a few years overdue and not solicited, I'm just slow. They repaired the transmission on my 2004 Pilot. They made a mistake that they could have claimed was not theirs, but they did not. They fixed the issues at no charge and went the extra mile.
