Didn't feel like it was a community, more like 10 strangers decided to work out at the same time. Warm up was very strange and not explained correctly. It felt odd doing movements I've never tried before even though I've been doing CrossFit for almost 2 years. Now, when it comes to WOD with very technical movements they need to be instructed correctly. We had push jerks and OHS programmed, during warm up we also needed to do power snatches and since I have little weightlifting background I didn't have a problem doing them but it's still felt strange that coach didn't show it prior. I noticed that there were people who were struggling squatting with knees out and no one corrected that. It made me feel like it would be a disaster to stay for more than 1 class if no one cares about your form. I get it, it's a business but still. Bottom line: if you know all the movements perfectly and simply looking for a space to workout this place is for you. However if you are unsure about your technique and/or have injuries I would strongly recommend to go elsewhere.

The signs within the Gaylord were not entirely clear and I had to walk around the resort for a while before arriving at the fitness center. There were many machines within the space that you would find at a typical gym with treadmills, stationary bicycles, upper and lower body machines, as well as free weights. I was able to complete my full workout without having to find alternative exercises and it wasn't crowded when I visited mid-day. I would definitely consider this fitness center to be one of the best in a hotel setting.

The spa manager, Teresa was wonderful, she greeted us with champagne and showed us all the spa had to offer, including the gym, lockers, sauna/steam room, showers and my favorite, the relaxation room. The spa is clean and smells great. Our entire party opted for massages. We were shown to our lockers where we changed into soft robes and slippers and got a chance talk and hang out with our co-workers before and after our massages. Everything was timely and the staff was very professional and helpful. We enjoyed infused water, teas, and champagne the entire time. With the spa service, we could also enjoy the pool for the day. Unfortunately the temps were too cold to enjoy the pool, but we had an amazing day at the spa and plan to do it again soon.

I am so glad I paid a visit to MouseTrap Fitness - it reminded me of my home gym! It is small, but…read morecozy and welcoming. I signed up and paid beforehand ($25) so check-in for the 6:00am class was smooth. There were about 20 people and we went around and said our name and homebase. There were quite a few states represented due to drop-ins from the conference - love that! Coach Doug led us in a hearty warm up before the workout. There was no strength piece due to it being a birthday workout in celebration of one of the members who was turning 21 years old :). It was a 21 minute AMRAP consisting of 21 Russian kettle bell swings, 21 calorie row, and 21 squats with the kettlebell. [I replaced the row with a 300 meter run]. It was a solid workout and the energy in the gym was fantastic. I will definitely be back to MouseTrap Fitness when in Orlando!
