Dropped in today for 6a group session! Coach Jack was very prompt to check me in. Most of the athletes were regular, and I along with about 4 others were drop-in's . The environment was cool and everyone pushed one another throughout the hour. What I got to do: Warm-Up 400m Run 3 Sets w/a light KB 10 Alt Arm KB Swings 10 KB Windmills 10 KB Thrusters 10 V-Ups Shoulder Press 5x5 Build to a heavy set of 5 (I began on one rig with warming up. I was promptly approached by another athlete telling me that the weight was too light for me and that I should consider adding more...I moved to another rig! It was awesome, talk about holding someone accountable. People watch what you're doing, watching your form and seeing what you are capable of. This was my first time, and although I wasn't trying to slack, I appreciate him for the comments). MetCon 4RFT 400m Run 15 Toes to Bar 20 Single Arm DB/KB Push Press 50/35 20min Cap I didn't get the last set of Toes to Bar and Push Presses. I did however begin my 400m run with about 2 minutes to spare, so the 20 min cap was done by the time I got back. I saw 3RFT, I'm not crazy, Coach Jack had to change that one. But I did do 20 KB Push Presses per arm on my first set thinking that was the RX, however it was supposed to be 10/arm!!! All in all, I got a good workout and burned a ton of calories. Although I suck with names, I did feel a good sense of community within "the box". read more

I've been to a lot of crossfit gyms and not all of them are perfect but I definitely wouldn't choose this particular place for a long run. Gym is very small and packed. Didn't feel like it was a community, more like 10 strangers decided to work out at the same time. Warm up was very strange and not explained correctly. It felt odd doing movements I've never tried before even though I've been doing CrossFit for almost 2 years. Now, when it comes to WOD with very technical movements they need to be instructed correctly. We had push jerks and OHS programmed, during warm up we also needed to do power snatches and since I have little weightlifting background I didn't have a problem doing them but it's still felt strange that coach didn't show it prior. I noticed that there were people who were struggling squatting with knees out and no one corrected that. It made me feel like it would be a disaster to stay for more than 1 class if no one cares about your form. I get it, it's a business but still. Bottom line: if you know all the movements perfectly and simply looking for a space to workout this place is for you. However if you are unsure about your technique and/or have injuries I would strongly recommend to go elsewhere. read more

Dropped in for a couple of workouts while at a conference. Friendly and encouraging staff. The coach put us through a nice warmup before the metcon. Strength training came next and he was engaged making sure everyone was using proper form. The second day we had a long chipper that was awesome. I will definitely be back next time I am in town. read more

Well, I'm on the edge of dirty 30 and find myself a bit on the heaver side. There's only so many times you can blame the tightness of your jeans on the dryer. So instead of ordering a pair of pajama jeans online, I signed up for the Celebration Crossfit fundamentals course. Now, I had tried a cross fit course once before at another location and never went back. It just wasn't my thing as I was constantly singled out as the "new" person. This led to many awkward moments and I felt more like a burden than a participant. The cross fit fundamentals class sounded like a great idea when I saw it online. A lot of people on my level breathing heavy together. I found a deal online (check their Facebook, website, etc) and attended the first class tonight. Erik was great and walked us through what would happen over the next 4 weeks and took us through the first session. Man, it wasn't easy! But it showed me how much I needed it...too many second helpings over Christmas. The workout was pretty simple. A circuit of running, pull-ups, push-ups and squats. Where the challenge came in was pushing yourself to keep going. Thankfully, this portion only lasted 12 minutes. Overall, I am satisfied with my decision to do the fundamentals class at Celebration Crossfit. It's great for beginners, you have people on your level in the class and it won't burn you out as it continually changes. I'll post an update in four weeks and hopefully be a few pounds lighter! read more

Update: The gym just announced new ownership 2020, my complaints were about the previous ownership prior to 2020! Prior new ownership review: I will start with the good. The main coaches genuinely care about your progress and teaching the fundamentals. They work hard to learn and become better as coaches every day. It is also conveniently located and in a very nice area. I also enjoyed the athletes who went there, it was a fun community! Now for the bad. The space is very small, even though they allow class sizes to be relatively large to the space. The limited equipment is often rusty and held in a dangerous compartment. There were times I was at risk for splinters as a result of the old wooden container that holds some of the equipment chipping and falling apart onto the workout space. It should have been replaced the moment one of their coaches was injured from it. Furthermore, they do not have some of the traditional Crossfit equipment such as benches and tires. The workouts were not that great either unless one of the coaches made adjustments, which made it difficult to track and compare results when the app says one thing and the actual resulting workout (which is always better) is another thing. Finally, their handling of the COVID situation provided evidence that the owners are prioritizing the financials much more than the clients. There were no options to reduce our monthly fee or to pause our contracts even though many clients were fired or furloughed. They may have provided personal virtual training as an alternative for the same cost, but that does not really help if you have no income coming in and is definitely not the same worth. When cancelling because of financials, there was no "sorry to see you go" or anything else. I would recommend this place if you are interested in a quick drop in or personal training. If you want a membership and the regular Crossfit experience, I recommend elsewhere. read more

Dropped in while I was staying at the Gaylord Palms Resort for a trade show. (It is nice and close. An Uber one way was about $7.) Josh was super friendly and the classmates were welcoming. We packed solid 1 hour class with a warm-up, strength, WOD, and cash out. Great coaching (eyes were on ME!) and very clean facility. They sell shirts and FitAid which was MUCH needed afterwards. Dropped in while on a Disney vacation . Gym was pretty close to our hotel, parking was easy and the area nice. The gym is VERY small with limited equipment to accommodate a full class. Got a decent workout in and the although the coach was friendly, this box felt very much like a business. read more

I paid $20 for the drop in fee. The coach did not even tell me his name when I introduced myself and he did not give a single word of encouragement or instruction during the workout to anyone. Very small facility. I should have done the workout in my hotel gym and saved the money. I will definitely choose another box next time. Update: 30 minutes after posting this review the owner called me. He apologized and refunded my money. His professionalism and courtesy were remarkable, and it is clear that the experience I had today is not the norm for his facility. read more

Wow. I made a yelp account solely for the purpose of writing a review for this gym. I travel to quite a few gyms while on work trips and on vacation and this had to be on of the worst experiences I've had. The coach, JC Gordon, was unfriendly. He didn't introduce himself. He hardly spoke to us at all throughout the entire class. His entire energy while coaching the class was half-assed and uninterested. Midway through the workout my wrist wrap got caught on the bar and I jerked my arm and had to stop the workout. Not once did he see if I was okay. All these things aside, his instruction was amateur. He didn't know proper terminology. The warmup was random and had no correlation to the workout. The owners were not there, but I'm sure if they were the quality would have been better under their supervision. Crossfit is about meeting new people and supporting small business, but I would NEVER recommend this gym to anyone. I'm really upset I spent $40 on drop in fees for something I could have done in a hotel gym. read more

I have been training at Celebration CrossFit for a little over 2 years and I couldn't be happier! I started with the intention of doing something different for a few months in between training for marathons and it has now become my primary and favorite workout. The coaches are knowledgeable and patient and make everyone feel comfortable regardless of their fitness level. There is a great sense of teamwork along with some healthy competition. The owners, Erik and Kaycie are extremely passionate about what they do and their enthusiasm is contagious. The programming is varied and combines a bit of everything and even in a full class individual attention is provided. If you have ever given any thought to trying CrossFit or are a seasoned athlete this box will make you feel comfortable and right at home! read more

I have visited many Crossfit Gyms and Erik is one of the best coaches in this business. I have been a member of this gym since July of 2014 and have lost 45 pounds and gained 15 pounds of muscle. I have witnessed many transformations of other dedicated members. There is three members that I don't even recognize anymore because they look so great !! I know one of them lost at least 100lbs or more. If you are looking to change your mind, body and spirit this is the place to be ...... I highly recommend Celebration Crossfit. I was traveling for work and needed a place to drop-in to complete the Crossfit Open 17.1 WOD and Erik and his team were more than happy to schedule me in along side the regular members. The coaches were friendly and easy to deal with, like most Crossfits but what really stood out to me was the friendly and supportive members. They welcomed me in, engaged with me despite not knowing me at all, and cheered me on at the perfect point where I was starting to lose steam. Cool little gym and serves it's purpose while being away from home. Very friendly coach and members. A lot smaller than what I'm used to, but they limit the class size so everything just seemed to work. My girlfriend and I dropped in for a class while in town and had a great time. Both Matt and Eric were friendly as well as the members. We enjoyed the workout. I liked that they focus a lot on mobility and kept a tight watch on the time. After the WOD we had time to stretch before the hour was up. Had a drop in session then completed 18.5. Everyone in the gym were very friendly. The members and coach were all business. The WOD was a three part workout that the coach explained very well. I then compared in 18.5 where the judge was certified and was encouraging. She kept me on track to beat my goal for the work out. I started my crossfit journey with Celebration crossfit. I stayed at that gym for 10 months. The reason I left was because I moved. If I was still living in the same place I would still be at this gym. The owners are wonderful and really truly care about each member. The coaches also care about you and want to know what you are trying to workout. They have a fairly small facility for the size of some of the classes and lacked the amount of equipment needed at times (this could have changed on 6 months). The box truly was everything crossfit is and should be. It was a family. The workouts were always tough and programmed with the full week in mind not just that day. I got a great base to grow in my strength and in my workouts. If I move back to this side of town I would not hesitate to rejoin. read more

I stopped into this Crossfit to do 17.5 while on vacation. Kaycie was incredibly helpful getting us set up and was my judge during the open workout. They seem to have a great community there and I only wish I could've stopped by for an actual class but my schedule didn't allow that. All in all, I would definitely go back next time I'm in Celebration. read more

When I joined CCF almost a year ago, little I knew I was going to find the whole package in one place. At CCF you're not an athlete more out of the crow, but instead, you're part of a fit family. We laugh, struggle, and push one another through the fun but challenging WODs. Coaches are always approachable with any questions you might have, but most importantly, they are very knowledgeable about the movements and techniques. I only hope I can continue to be part of this family for the years to come. read more

I dropped in last week and it was just OK. I got a decent WOD in, but not welcomed very warmly, not coached at all, and pretty much ignored by the regular members. The members looked like they were enjoying it and getting a decent class, and the coach seemed reasonably knowledgeable, but for a drop in, it was a take it or leave it experience for me. If I found myself at Disney again, I wouldn't affirmatively not go back, but I wouldn't be excited to go back either. read more
