Salmon

A good neighborhood spot that has a warm, hospitable atmosphere. The ambience feels classic with unique Lee vintage pictures on the wall. Staff are friendly, and there's a combination of barstool plus table seating. The food is decent, but not stellar. I ordered the salmon entrée which came saturated in glaze, but had ample portion size to keep me full. The pizzas are really good and they offer vegetarian plus gluten-free options. The nice thing about this restaurant is there's plenty of space to sit so if you have children, you won't feel obligated to apologize to neighbors are higher than average noise levels! A few restaurant options exist in this complex, but this particular Trattoria offers an invariably big menu, so you'll definitely find something that you like here.

Trattoria Bolu was such a great experience. From the moment that we met our server, Leighann, we enjoyed a wonderful meal. She was working so hard, trying to serve customers outside and inside, and we appreciated her effort and professionalism. Our meatball appetizer was very tasty, had lots of marinara sauce, the perfect amount of cheese, and large enough to share. The minestrone soup was also good and the perfect portion. Our mint infused lemonade was very refreshing and we ordered more than one, cause it was that good. We also shared the large Margherita Pizza, with the multi grain crust, and could not finish it. Every ingredient was so fresh and I could have that crust on every pizza for the rest of my life. I highly recommend Bolu and know that you'll enjoy your meal(s).

Shrimp salad

I was in Basking Ridge attending a conference. A friend took us here for lunch and I decided to order the shrimp salad. My brother ordered the Italian Sausage Pizza. First it is a quaint little place and the server was friendly. There were 5 of us and we were quickly seated. There was a little wait to put in our order but the food was delicious and am prepared. My salad was light & refreshing. I had a slice of the Italian pizza & it was thin crusted and nicely flavored. It was a win! Definitely coming back.

Boardwalk Pie

One of the few places that, for years, has been very ingredient conscious and care about the quality of their food. Many things locally sourced and/or organic. Vodka orchette, boardwalk pizza, calzone, and eggplant rolatini are the go-to's.

Pricy but good pizza. I've had their pasta dishes which have been fantastic. This review is their pizza and cannolis. I ordered both and it's made well is a little pricy for what you get. I like the pizza, especially the crust but didn't find the cheese as good as other pizzas (maybe should have tried a margarita or something else). The cannolis were really good with a lot of filling (chocolate, not the usual cream) and a strawberry was a nice dessert to end the meal. They have numerous signs for masks/social distancing and sanitizer. They promote the use of quality ingredients and who doesn't like a wood fire pizza. Over a pretty good place if you wanna give it a shot!

Absolutely horrible. Try to support local businesses every weekend but this place deserves to shutdown regardless of pandemic. Calamari was mushy, flavorless, and smelled like fish. Fearful of illness. Salads were not crisp as lettuce should be and pizza was cold and doughy. It takes a hell of a lot for me to turn away pizza. Obvious products were old and not fresh. Felt as if all products were leftover from lunch service. Called restaurant after we got home and tasted the all the dishes we ordered. No answer after 3 attempts. Actually threw everything into the trash . Will never deviate again from Sappori d' Italia located in Mendham again.

First things first, my review is based on the very grumpy old white guy who seems to be the host / manager / owner of the place. The food has always been decent/ good at Bolu. We have always mostly done take out but yesterday me and my girls decided to have our ladies night at Bolu. Reservations were made, we showed up on time. The host is RUDE. He has this weird vibe / energy about him, like our presence was something that bothered him. His actually frowned when we said hi, we have a reservation.. He was pushy when he came to take our order, almost judging us coz we were ordering for the table ( am talking large pizza and pasta , 3 appetizers and 2 desserts ) this was the 5 of us. He made us feel very uncomfortable. The waitress was sweet and the 3 stars are for the food and her attitude. She was nice. We did leave with a 20% tip for her and I personally won't be going back to Bolu or recommending it to anyone. Please go back to the basics and learn to be kind, warm and welcoming to anyone who walks in that restaurant. If that's too much, be neutral instead of being nasty and ruining someone's special occasion.

Small Pizza Bolognese

This was a casual and trendy place part of a mini strip mall. There were a few tables outside and multiple high top tables inside along with other seating arrangements. The menu along with the specials sounded very intriguing. The service was appreciated too. They start the meal off with bread with a sundried tomato and goat cheese spread. The spread was tasty and the bread was slightly toasted. For an appetizer, a small pizza Bolognese ($15.95) was ordered. It consisted of homemade mozzarella, Bolognese sauce, fresh basil, and sea salt. The thin crust pizza was cooked appropriately. The sauce was sweet, which I was not a fan of. The meat was tasty though. I went with the homemade prosciutto stuffed shells ($21). They were baked with homemade mozzarella cheese. There were 4 shells present. Like the pizza, the sauce was too sweet. The shells were light and filled with creamy mozzarella cheese. The prosciutto could be tasted, but there was not a lot present. Will I go back? I would.

Dominick's was pretty high on the list according to some reviews, so we thought we'd try it out. We ordered the Sicilian Pizza and a Caesar Salad. We're Italian and, well, snobby - when it comes to pizza, sauce, pastas etc. So let's start with the Pizza. Traditional Sicilian Pizza. The crust is airy, and light; yet has a memorable crunch that keeps you coming back for more. The sauce, I would dare say is house made. It isn't overbearing with too much basil, or overly acidic - it's just right. The cheese is sliced mozzarella, which I'm unsure if it is fresh sliced or not (maybe management can confirm) but it is definitely quality! It gets better with every bite. Now. The salad. Fresh cut lettuce, onions, house made Caesar dressing I would say. Store bought croutons however. The salad was overdressed which created an off taste for me. The dressing had a unique flavor, maybe a tad too peppery - but not unpleasant by any means. As a traveler just coming through, my two cents might not mean much! But I would definitely recommend Dominick's for some authentic eats - with fresh ingredients. One thing I would recommend is to send utensils!

Managed by the Becca family, this shop carries a legacy of Italian craftsmanship that has turned a local favorite into a viral destination. The "One Bite" Legend The shop gained massive national attention when Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports stopped by for one of his famous reviews. The visit was famously tense: the owner, Joe Becca, wasn't satisfied with the first "rushed" pie Dave tried and insisted he wait for a second, perfected version. The Barstool Rating: Portnoy officially scored the first pie a 7.7. The Controversy: After trying the second pie in his car, Portnoy admitted it was superior--praising the "tangy sauce" and "great undercarriage"--and unofficially gave it an 8.1. However, per his strict "One Bite" rules, the 7.7 remains the score on the record. Awards & Accolades Prima isn't just "internet famous"; it has the hardware to back it up.
