One of the best meals of my life. Period. Brilliant food, unforgettable steak, warm and friendly service, lots of laughter in a tremendous room, and reasonable prices. Come for the experience. Ordered; Mushroom soufflé Polenta w meat sauce Papadelle w wild boar Gnocchi Bistec Roasted potato

We loved our first meal here. We ordered the ravioli pasta and lasagna, I was head over heels for my ravioli, it was great. So, we decided to come back the next night because we heard a customer said the steak was fantastic, and we didn't order steak the first time, so we came back for the classic florentine steak. The steak was really good, but really chewy on some parts. I was expecting that the steak would not be chewy at all, especially after the customers comment. What was really cooked excellently, however, was our potatoes. The potatoes stole the show with how hot, tender, and tasty they were.

Stopped by for lunch when it had just opened, and there was already a line outside and people seated inside! They were able to squeeze us in for an hour without a reservation. I was not expecting to need reservations for lunch, but grateful they fit us in. I was looking forward to trying some Florentine specialties here, especially the wild boar pappardelle, which was delicious and homey. We also got ribollita, bruschetta, and 2 desserts (berry panna cotta and a special cake). The ribollita was a huge portion and very filling - great flavor for such a simple vegetarian dish (we couldn't finish it even though we wanted to). I want to try to make it at home. Bruschetta was fresh and a big portion. Both desserts were perfection. There was also a basket of bread. Everyone in the restaurant was treated like family. Lots of writing/drawing all over the walls gives it a more relaxed vibe. It was quite a long walk from the busiest streets of Florence, but seemed to be the most bustling business in the surrounding area, which was very quiet. They did have English menus inside. When you are finished, you pay up front. Prices were very reasonable, very authentic - not touristy.

After several days of disappointing meals in Florence (huge warning that most restaurants in the city now are largely tourist traps and unfortunately do not live up to expectations, as we found out after multiple underwhelming meals), Tito's was a GODSEND. We heard about it via Rick Steve's (I think it's one of his favorite restaurants in Florence) as we knew we needed to try a new strategy to find more authentic Italian food that lived up to our high expectations. Tito's delivered. We walked into the restaurant and found all of the servers taking shots to celebrate one of their birthdays. Immediately the vibe was warm, friendly, and so much more fun than any of the other places we had tried. The walls were lined with graffiti and we knew we found a special place. We were able to get a table immediately, and ordered a glass of house wine (delicious), and florentine steak (one of their staples) and the Mezzi Paccheri pasta that we saw the table next to us eating. Both dishes blew us away. To the point that, despite our fullness, we were so literally and figuratively hungry for good Italian food that we felt that we had been deprived of the prior days, we ordered a lasagna dish that also wowed us. Throughout our meal, the servers were attentive but not pushy, we're joking around with neighboring tables, and it was overall one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. At the end of the meal our server dropped off two bottles of liquor to wash down the food, and let us self serve, on the house. That's when we knew we discovered a gem. Do not miss out on Tito's.

One of my favorite places we tried in Florence, and my first experience with the famous Florentine Steak! An absolute pleasure all around to dine here. Incredible vibes inside - the art on the walls gave a hip and vibrant atmosphere, yet customers were from all ages (families with children, elderly, young couples). My group of 5 walked in without a reservation, and the staff gave us 1.5 hours to eat. Plenty of time. Every single dish (pictured) that we ordered was so delicious. I have never been a fan of tripe cooked in the States, but the way that they cooked it here almost had the consistency and tenderness of shredded chicken. It was delicious and I had never had anything like it. I would also highly recommend the caprese salad with grilled eggplant and the meat lasagna. Both were flavorful and meant to be savored and eaten slowly. And finally the Florentine Steak - we didn't dare ask for it cooked more than us traditional, and the rawness of of the meat and juiciness was incredibly luxurious and tender. One bite was enough for me. Service was great. Some reviews say staff are rude but I would disagree. They have vibrant energy and are happy to hear that their dishes are enjoyed by foreigners. Incredible food - would come back. Husband's Review: "Absolutely incredible, full of amazing flavor. Best food I've had in Italy."

Service was great with multiple people checking in on us, joking around, and being very personable. They even offered Limoncello shots on the house. Desert was awesome as well.

Excellent ambiance, cheeky waiters, amazing food. Perfect place to go if you're looking for a real authentic Italian experience. Really loved my time here and the tiramisu is a must!

We were very pleased with service and the quality of the food. We had the fríe D polenta, wild boar pasta, pici and the house wine. The food came fast and well prepared. Very happy with the restaurant. Make sure you have reservations at least 1 day before

Antica Trattoria da Tito is a traditional Italian trattoria that opened in Florence, Italy in 1913. The establishment is currently owned by Chef Gianluca "Bobo" Giordano but it was founded by his great-great grandfather Tito. Chef Bobo still serves the same traditional Florentine cuisine that has been served for over 100 years. The eatery is a basic family trattoria where some of the popular plates include coal-cooked ham with smoked burrata, Florentine steak and rabbit stew. My wife and I visited Da Tito on our Italian honeymoon in July 2018. We had heard about it from the Rick Steves guidebook as well as his TV show. It's about a 10 minute walk from the busy tourist center of Florence. Here you will mostly find locals, not tourists. There was even a big sign at the door that said "No Ameritalian Food Here!" Chef Bobo seemed like a very jolly character from the TV footage we had seen of him, but unfortunately we did not see him during our visit. When we arrived the place was empty, but it was totally packed by the time we left. We decided to order a special dining experience that's not on the menu but is mentioned in the Rick Steves guidebook. It is called "Fermami" (literally "stop me") and if you order it then the staff will bring you endless plates of antipasti until you yell "Fermami!" We also ordered a local bottle of Rosé to accompany our food. Some of the delicious plates brought to us included fresh Bruschetta, Prosciutto with Cantaloupe, various types of Crostini, Eggplant Caprese Salad with Buffalo Mozzarella, a Charcuterie plate, and Octopus and Potato Salad. When our server delivered the last plate I yelled out "Fermami!" We were so stuffed! My wife won't touch octopus but I loved it; I have since learned how to recreate the salad at home. We ended our meal with two glasses of complimentary limoncello. The whole experience only cost us about €60 and it was easily our favorite dining experience from our stay in Florence!

I appreciate the fact that I went there with my family at 7:00pm and they allow us to eat without reservation. Even though they ask us if we could finish eating in an hour, they never rush us and they served us very gently. Great service! They were very friendly and attentive. The food was very tasty and I really recommend it. The ambiance was good. Thank you for your great service! We enjoy the dinner thanks to you guys!

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. He had his own GF bread basket and was able to order almost anything on the menu. We ordered a nice bottle of Montepulciano red for the table that was $48. Others had the Hugo spritz. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Others ordered the fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the angels and demons gnocchi, and the veal scallopini. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

Had we had come earlier in our stay we might have come back again They also do a wine window which I wish I'd known about earlier because the other one we tried for fun was not good

We were browsing the menu outside when the owner was nice enough to invite us in. We ordered wine and got complementary appetizers which consisted of some meat and bread with olive oil and balsamic. We browsed the menu and couldn't decide on what to get because unlike other steak houses this one had many many other cuts to choose from but we settled on the infamous BISTECCA ALLA FIORENTINA. After we ordered it took about Roughly 15-20 minutes before our perfect piece of meat came out. The meat was tender and juicy and so perfectly seasoned. Every single piece of meat was meat in your mouth worthy. Even though the piece we got was huge it was sooo good my sister and I finished it no problem. We were even tempted to take the bone home and chew on it but that wouldn't be lady like... Service was good. Wasn't very many people dining when we were there but regardless they were very attentive and I would definitely be back.

We were let down by our first attempt in Florence when the meat was tough and mostly flavorless. After much research, he decided we were going to The Cut. We luckily scored reservations via thefork, one day in advance. We started off being served complimentary prosecco and a grilled mortadella amuse buche. We ordered the carpaccio chianina, grilled ember vegetables, and their daily special, an Argentinian beef (10 year old dairy cow that had been aged 60+ days). We asked if we should order any toppings or sauces, and the answer was no - neither was needed (as the flavor of the steak should stand out on its own). I appreciate that. Unfortunately, they ran out of the carpaccio chianina, so the owner comped us a chianina tartar so we could try the infamous chianina. Very tender yet robust flavor, especially with the salt. The steak (medium rare), cooked perfectly and very tender, but I can't say it was amaze-balls. Also, both this and the chianina only came in rib eye (not full T-bone), but that meant we could order 1 kg instead of the 1.2 kg minimum. That was good since between the two of us, we could not even polish off the 1 kg. The grilled ember vegetables were delicious! Too bad there just weren't that many of them. The owner apologized and told us they were on the house, since his shipment did not come in due to the holiday on Monday. We are from out of town, so honestly we wouldn't have know the difference if that was a normal or sparse portion. That was nice of him. Service was A+. Attentive, knowledgeable and so hospitable. Reservations are a must! This is a small restaurant and many parties were turned away during the duration of our meal there only.

The service was top notch from the time we walked in the door. We were offered a couple seating options and picked the more secluded, romantic feeling spot. The wait staff was very informative and helpful and recommended a Vermintino which was lovely. Service begins with an amazing assortment of sliced meats, cheeses and brushetta. We already tried Florentine steak at another well rated restaurant before coming here so we had a good idea of what to expect from the steak. We decided to forego the set menu and only order the steak because we heard the portions are massive and they are. They present to you with 2 steak options: the T bone at about 1.5kg and the Tomahawk at 1.2kg. Since we had the T bone at another restaurant already, so went with the Tomahawk and had it cook rare as recommended. When the steak came they carved the meat table side, but unfortunately the cast iron plate the steak was on wasn't hot at all, and since we got a rare steak, the meat turned code very quickly. The meat of the steak was good, better than the previous steakhouse we went to, but there were tendons which got stuck in my teeth. However, the washroom did not have floss at all and I was taken back by the random graffiti on the bathroom wall while this was supposed to be a fancy steakhouse. All in all, I think this is more of a tourist destination as all the other tables spoke English. Local Italian people don't eat here, and you're better off going to another place that's less pricey.
