Travel Inn & Suites is one of the three hotels in Flemington, with Travel being the middle of the road price option. The hotel complex includes three buildings with rooms, with check-in being located at the building in the front. Check-in went smoothy and our room with twin beds was in the same building. The lobby area does get locked at 10PM, but you can still check-in by using the doorbell. Hotel has plenty of parking. Room was relativity modern and decently sized, but interestingly had two different sets of doors, one from the back parking area and one from the front walkway. Full size mini fridge and microwave were provided, along with a 32-inch TV. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Room had modern light fixtures, but need more electrical sockets. There was no closet, but there was small rack with hangers in the one corner. Beds were reasonably comfortable. While the bathroom was small, the shower was excellent with plenty of hot water, and the sink was outside of the bathroom. Our room was not the best soundproofed however, as we could hear the highway. Outside of the breakfast area were the vending machines and ice machines. A complimentary breakfast is offered with several items, but due to crowding we decided to not partake. Overall, Travel Inn & Suites would be fine for a day or two stay, and I would return here again. read more

Just as a preface, it's Dec 2025! Any reviews older than a year or more may be irrelevant as the place looks newly renovated. Do keep that in mind. My stay was better than expected for the price I paid, $70 plus taxes!! It's an older motel, NOT hotel! But rehabbed and upgraded! I had no real negative comments except that the door/frame to outside of room had a gap that needed fixed. I could see day light coming through and a rather cold breeze coming in. Other than that, my Check-in went smoothy and the clerk was generally helpful (providing all details where my room was located, location of breakfast in morning, etc Hotel had plenty of parking. My room was redone with modern interior and a decent size. It had a little fridge and microwave w/a 32-inch TV. In addition, my room had a balcony (though it was void of any furniture to sit on out there, it was winter so not needed. Not sure if any included in nicer weather). The heater worked well but I had to run it all night due to cooler air entering from the space opening in the door frame. The bed was reasonably comfortable. I took the sheets off it to check for any indication of bugs, stains, damage, whereby I found nothing wrong with it! There was a small bathroom , and the shower provided very hot water with reasonable pressure. Sinks are outside of the bathroom ( which I personally am not a fan of, but better hotels seem to have this stupid set up too). I had a room in the building at the top of the hill and back, near the woods, and could not hear the highway. I needed to sleep in so did not attend the complimentary breakfast (so no input on that) But for the lower price paid for the room, I was surprised anything was offered to eat! I'm staying at another hotel right now, paying more and no breakfast offered! Most everything seemed clean and modern, even the check-in lobby. TV and remote worked fine too. Not sure what some people's beef is about this place for the price, but I understand things do go wrong and each person can experience different events (especially if during warmer weather with things like AC and bugs getting in... especially at a motel where the room door leads directly to the outside). I met the manger upon check out and we had a nice chat about the area, the restaurant they'll be opening next door, etc. Seemed nice to me. Some folks that may be complaining are probably used to more expensive hotels with better services, and because this area has few sleeping accommodations, they had no other choice but stay at a less expensive motel (especially when the area is swamped with out of towners during the hot air balloon festival and ball tournaments, some of which may be at the same time). But for the price in today's economy, I got what I paid for. In general, I will return to Travel Inn & Suites of Flemington again. read more

Unfortunately, after staying here for 3 nights on my trip to Flemington, I cannot recommend this motel and would not stay here again. I met the owners--they seem like decent people and want to help and did try to help, but there is something seriously wrong in the operation of this business. I could not tell if they are just super frugal, or they have serious financial issues, competency, or just general contempt for their guests? But there are key indicators that would cause me to never stay here again: 1. Every single bath towel was old, had strings coming out of it, some harder than others, and one so hard and torn that you would damage the finish on your car if you wiped with it. Even when I asked for better towels, they were still bad. There is no excuse for this--I was not able to properly clean myself and it was uncomfortable to use their towels. For this reason alone I would never stay here again. (I posted pictures of one of the worst Towels, but the pic does not show how hard it was.) 2. The soap bars provided were not competent for cleaning yourself--I just used a soap I had from another hotel and one I travel with just for this type of problem. 3. When I arrived on a 90 Degree humid day the AC was not on in the room and not cooling when I turned it on. One of the owners came up and opened it up and got it working again by first putting the heat on, get it blowing then "tricking" the unit to generate cold by slowing turning the knob to cold and keeping it on low. The AC unit failed 4 more times during my stay and I had to employ the same "trick" to get it working. 4. At 9 AM on Labor Day morning the floor was vibrating and walls shaking as a repairman was working on one of the deteriorating staircase for my set of rooms. No warning about this. 5. The free breakfast is minimal and has no egg whites or hard boiled eggs, no yogurt, no oatmeal, and brown spotted bananas. I went the first day and not again. 6. I dropped something and had a look under the bed--not cleaned in a while. The table tops and exposed carpet was clean but the Carpet was generally dirty I was able to see on the bottom of my slippers. 7. You really had to pull up hard on plunger in the shower to get the water to come out of the shower head. It would vibrate, shake, and slowly start working. 8. Hard uncomfortable mattresses, and old thin blankets.--I got a bad back and not the best sleep. 9. Went to turn the TV on and just snow--no picture. Remote did not work. To me this is an old property that does not need any renovation or fixing up--it needs Demolition and reconstruction. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I received a call from hotel staff confirming my check in time. I advised I would be arriving late. I was instructed to ring the bell on the side of the door to gain entry when I arrive. When I arrived there was no staff at the front desk. I rang the bell, I knocked on the door, we knocked on the windows, we called dozens of times. Apparently the initial calls were to the "wrong number" but it was literally the number he called me from. I then called the number directly to the hotel which had the same phone tree the other number had! Left messages with my phone number to call me ASAP. I was traveling with my daughter and niece for a softball tournament and began to look for another place to stay. Due to a hot air balloon festival in the area there were virtually no vacancies within a 20 mile radius of the place. We found a small motel about 5-10 minutes away that had a room. The next morning I went to speak to staff and this person was condescending and rude! Tried turning it on me as if it were my own fault for not trying hard enough to reach THEM when they didn't have anyone at the front desk. He tried to tell me he may have stepped away for a few minutes. It took us 30-40 minutes to throw in the towel on this place before we started calling every hotel in the area. We didn't find a place til an hour after THAT! He had the nerve to text me to come back to the hotel because he was at the front desk now but I had already paid an additional charge at the new location. When I explained all this to the staff member he said I was not being honest and I could leave because I need him and he doesn't need me. He knew that there were no rooms anywhere nearby and threatened to leave me roomless if I proceeded with a bad review. The truth was I needed the room for my girls. The second I left that place I made sure to get on every single platform and warn people to steer clear from this place! Proceeded to charge me for both nights even though I only stayed there ONE! With PROOF of calls, messages, and the new bill. And continental breakfast is a lie. It's just cereal. And there are more spiders in that place than cars in the parking lot. The jacuzzi was broken. Beware of this house of horrors! When we checked in the front desk clerk had our reservations mixed up. That was my sign to run. We were 4 people and reserved 2 rooms. My son was charged twice for his room. When he asked the front desk about it they said "NO, it's a hold". That was not true, they did double charge him. The first thing I noticed when entering the room was the smoke detector chirping constantly. My daughter went to use the bathroom and when pushing the door open the doorknob fell off in her hand. I might understand it happening if you had to pull to get out, but it breaking when you push the door? The sink in the kitchen had white dried on stuff in it, sugar/ salt all over the counters. The ice bucket had nasty water still in it. The sofa was duct tapped together!!!!!! The lights were falling off the ceiling. After sitting on the bed for 5 minutes my son's feet became itchy and turned bright red. One room was supposed to have 2 queen beds and the pull out sofa. It was false advertisement the room had 2 full beds instead. When I questioned the front desk about this they told me they were queen beds. The place looked like a crack den that if we stayed we possibly would have contracted a disease. We checked in at 9:30 PM on 8/19/22 and checked out at 10:07 the same night. We spent that half an hour looking for another place to stay. I went down to the front desk and told them about all the issues in the room and that we would NOT be staying there. They refused to refund my money! I reserved this room through BOOKING.COM. I thought they would be interested in my experience and try to help me resolve this issue. That is not the case. The representative tried calling the establishment 2 times and both times she was hung up on. A few days later I received a letter saying that they were no longer looking into it and were not going to refund my money. Please look elsewhere for accommodations. I booked this nice motel through Booking.com after reading that it got a fair amount of good reviews. (We used to stay at the Ramada in Flemington, but that place is HORRIBLE and to be avoided at all cost.) This motel is clean, and the staff is friendly. At check in, we met assistant manager Farooq, who was gracious and friendly. After we got to our room, we realized we needed another pillow, and he was very happy to oblige when I went back to the office with my request. The people staying there were very quiet - no rowdy patrons. We stayed for two nights and were very happy with the comfortable bed. Although this is pretty much a "no frills" motel, they were perfect! Even the breakfast was great: juices, coffee, toast, waffles, cereal, scrambled eggs and sausage... Better than most motels offer - and the breakfast room was spotless! We will definitely stay there again! read more

DO NOT STAY HERE. (Apparently they keep responding saying "guests review in retaliation", so let's just nip that in the bud and confirm that this honest review is not in retaliation, but only to warn other innocent people about how bad this place & the service is. And watch them call me "hostile" for my honest review, lol). I travel a lot and have stayed in so many different hotels and never seen such a disgusting room complete with disgusting customer service. The room had dirt, trash, and dust everywhere, including on the headboard and hanging from the ceiling. The room was literally full of dirt in every corner, and there was trash next to and behind the bedside table. We were out and had gotten in the room late at night just to go to sleep, so we didn't even notice half of the dirt until the morning, and it was too late to switch anyway. As for the room, the TV was great - had a ton of channels and a guide. Breakfast was okay - very subpar, as expected with this kind of quality. Coffee tasted stale. Shower was very little pressure. The room had a fridge AND freezer, which was nice. So it wouldn't have been bad had it been clean. We didn't realize check out was at 11 because the manager didn't tell us at check in and we didn't see it in the email, so we had assumed it was 12, since a lot of hotels have a standard 12pm checkout. We didn't receive any courtesy calls or anything; just a bang at our door at 11:45 and a lady rudely telling us that we needed to get out in 10 minutes or they'd charge us for it because check out was at 11. So I went to return the keys and told the lady (who called herself the owner) about the lack of cleanliness in the room. What I received was NOT an apology but BLAME. She basically implied that I had made the room dusty and dirty! I wasn't even there for 12 hours; how could I create dust?! I asked her to come to the room with me so I could show her and also told her I took pictures. She refused to come and didn't want to hear it. She told me that she was going to call the police. because I was complaining - LOL. I wasn't threatening her or "screaming" at her, like she somehow thought, but yet a 5'4 girl in a flower dress intimidated her enough to want to call the police. Honestly, I just think she didn't want to hear the fact that her hotel rooms were gross. She then continued on to disrespect me and tell me that their hotel wasn't "5 stars anyway", which was pretty clear by their service. Then she told me I was "banned" - as if I'd ever come back. Lol. Normally a hotel would at least apologize for a room like that, but nope. She didn't offer one apology. Instead she only threatened me and insulted me. She boasted how "it's family owned, SHE owns it, and it didn't matter what we said about the hotel because it has good reviews". *eye roll*. It's a shame because the one manager who checked us in was super nice and probably would've been more receptive, but the lady who called herself the owner and her daughter were both absolutely classless and clearly do not know a thing about quality customer service. My advice? Do not come here. Don't give them anymore money. I can't believe they charge $100 for a mess like that. Just gross. The hotel room was nice and clean. The spa bath tub was really nice and it had a good sized bed and the bathroom was newly renovated which was really nice. The only complaint I had of the room was that it was kind of stuffy and had a mildew smell despite being clean. It also was kind of muggy. The hotel did not offer anything besides the room itself. No pool, game room or anything like that. A complementary breakfast was included but the breakfast only consisted of stale mini muffins and 3 kinds of cereal which was under whelming. If I was in the area I wouldn't mind staying here again because it's a safe bet. Just a little above average. read more

BEWARE! There were bed bugs in Room #112 and they could be in other rooms too. There were also a few large flies in the room and enormous stains on one of the bedspreads and on the luggage rack. But the bed bugs did it for me. They can "hitchhike" on clothing and luggage and start an infestation in your home, so I thoroughly inspected myself and my belongings and then I left without spending the night. read more

Not the worst place ever but not up to standards either. When booking in the area with only 2 weeks notice everything decent was booked. So we reserved 4 nights here. Upon arrival desk clerk who also appeared to be manager or owner was barely pleasant. We were 3 people given one key. When we got to our "suite" the room was very dated almost all of the furniture was early 80's. My dad sat in the only chair and fell over backwards. I went back to desk to ask for more towels (we were only given 2) and help with the chair situation. Clerk was irritated and too busy staring at all of his video monitors. Asked for 2 or 3 more towels he says how many in room? I replied 3 and he handed me one towel! A nice maintenance man did show up to help with chair. When we went to make the pull out sofa for my 28 year old daughter (who was younger than the sofa) the pillow had an orange stain on one side and a smear on the other that was either snot, phlegm or semen If you need a cheap place for one night passing through maybe but me never again! We left after 2 nights, it was worth losing our money on the other 2 nights to be able to stay somewhere else. I stayed 2 nights at the Travel Inn in Flemington. I was greeted by a very pleasant manager who gave me all the information I needed (WIFI password etc...) without being prompted. The check in was quick and very welcoming. This is a family owned place and they really go out of their way to please. The room I had included a small refrigerator and a microwave. It was very clean. To the people who complained about not having enough shampoo: I was told to call the front desk if there was anything I needed. I am sure they would have obliged. I would highly recommend this place. If one wants to find better, it is possible but at a much higher price. read more

Working a gig in Clinton for a couple days and this was the closest, cheapest place I could find that had at least above a one star rating (on yelp or hotels.com, anyway(I know hotels.com isn't the best, but you get a free $120 night for every 10 and I gig out of town a lot)). Stayed for 3 nights. I got a king suite because the queens and regular kings were sold out. Still, it was $77 a night booked the night before arriving. Good sized room, better than what you'd expect for the price. Fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, HBO and AC, ironing board and iron. Maids would empty trash, make the bed, and replenish the towels, but not replace soap or shampoo; weird. I was also unable to obtain a box of tissues. I did have to ask for a plastic liner for the ice bucket and it took awhile to find one. Bed's not great, but serviceable. A king bed should get an extra pillow or two as well. There were three. For example, I recently stayed at a cheap Ramada with a king bed and they had four large pillows, the minimum in my opinion for a king. The pillows here are half sized. Squares, not rectangles. "Breakfast" is what you'd expect from a low price motel: various breads, a waffle maker, and not much else. For a "budget" stay in the area, it's really not bad. There are enough little things to complain about, but there's parking, supplies and food nearby, the room is clean enough, the Tv's on a swivel so you can have a quick bite in front of it/watch the news as you get ready in the morning/nod off to HBO at the end of the night. You don't get much noise from next door neighbors, but if you're on the bottom floor you might get a Stompy McGee above you. Speaking of noise, the shower seems possessed with the kind of loud moaning it does. If you're going to use the fridge, check it first. Mine worked fine, it was just that when I arrived, it was set at its least cold setting (The higher the number on the dial, the colder it gets, FYI). If you park in one of the spaces in the back, be prepared for banging on your door early in the morning to move your car to let the garbage truck through on trash day (Wednesday, apparently). If I'm being honest, the knocking on the door and moving of the car on my checkout/sleep in day cost them a star for me. I have no kids (that I KNOW of, hehe... snicker at my d-bag dad joke!), but if I did I'd be wary. Within a 20 minute drive there are as many ice cream parlors and candy shops as there are strip clubs in Portland (if you haven't been, that's a lot). read more

I booked through Orbits. I checked in, and me and fiance went to room. When we walked in, it smelled as though they were covering up an odor. I immediately try the bed. It is EXTREMELY soft, with no support. It was like they took coils and stuffing out. We asked front desk for another room. They said they were all like that. I also sat on chair. It smelled of cigarettes. We asked for a non-smoking room. We asked front desk lady, whom looked like she just woke up at 5 pm, to come try out the bed, and I bet her she couldn't get out of it. She refused. And even though we checked in, went to room and left immediately after seeing that the bed couldn't support even a cats back, they haven't given us our money. It's a battle of Orbits saying one thing and the owner of hotel saying another. I give this place a 1 star. read more

Once I arrived and entered the room I was overcome by a horrible smell. I briefly looked at the room and it was old, worn, missing paint, flooring was worn, the towels were merely rags, the linens were something I would be ashamed to sell in a garage sale. The staff speaks poor english, some speak none. Every surface building needs paint and cleaning. The parking lot needs resurfacing. The drive access required you to drive 1.5 mile past the hotel and then u-turn on the highway to double back. Zero amenities are offered at the hotel. Did I mention the smell? read more

There were holes in the sheets and towels. Ants coming in the room. Water didn't get anywhere close to hot. Desk was mad we asked for more pillows at 830 at night, then the ones they gave had a weird smell to them. The renovations they're doing are nice. I'm giving this motel 1 star not because the room was bad but because the service sucked. We had stayed here for 2 nights. When we had first arrived we were delighted, the man at the counter seemed helpful and had asked for myself and my boyfriends ID, not a problem. It wasn't until we had checked out on our 3rd day there and almost half the day had passed and we were over an hour away until we realized my boyfriend did not have his ID on him, we looked everywhere until we thought back to when we checked in at the motel, the man at the front desk never gave it back to us. We had called them and he said he had it. He said he had found it the first day we were there, THE FIRST DAY. He said he tried calling us repeatedly but I know that was not true, and when I stated he had my cell phone number he hesitated and said he tried that too, which was a complete lie. He had no solution besides mailing it (which is not an option because we needed it right away of course) or having us drive all the way back there to get it. He was not helpful WHAT SO EVER and had no idea what he was talking about. We ended up having to drive all the way back for it. I would like to add that the lady at the front desk when checking out was COMPLETELY rude, I asked her a simple question of why I had an extra charge from them on my card and she wanted nothing to do with me and continued to talk over me when I asked when it actually was an issue on their part once I found out. The room was clean but our toilet wasn't working well, breakfast was not good, the milk for the cereal was actually bad and food was not hot. I will never be staying here again and I advise future guests, these people do not know what their talking about and are not helpful to their guests what so ever. read more

You get what you pay for. Stayed three nights, room was okay, carpet was disgusting, wouldn't walk on it bare footed. Room had a mildew odor had to get some air freshener to spray in the room. Forget the breakfast its poor at best and looked like they just keep bringing out the food from the day before. The staff was helpful when they could understand you, they could not speak English. Also their appearances left a lot to be desired. Checked out and got my receipt showing the cost for my stay. A few days letter my bill shows up and there is an additional $20.00 charge on my credit card. Tried to contact the assistant manager at the inn, left messages for him but he never called me back. After 8 calls to him I finally reached him and asked about the $20.00 charge. He accused me of stealing a yellow pillow, which was total BS. There was never a yellow pillow in the room to begin with and I wouldn't steal a pen from that place. He was rude and uncaring. He basically called me a liar and hung up on me. I have disputed the charge through my Credit Card company and hopefully they will resolve the problem. My advice to anyone thinking about staying here is to think twice. I came to this place for my 18th birthday with my friends, and the people gave us a ridiculously hard time. They were telling us how they reluctant they were to give us a room for the night because of what some other kids had done to the place when they crashed there. Wish I had known that when I was originally booking my stay. They also demanded a $200 cash security deposit upfront, (which I also wish I knew upon booking it) and when they checked our room in the morning (it was spotless and nothing was broken) it had taken some pushing to get our money back. We stayed here for a baseball tournament. It was convenient to Diamond Nation baseball fields. The price was very reasonable and the stay pleasant. The room was very clean and the people nice. This is not the same as the larger hotel chains. Breakfast was a brown bag with muffins, an apple and granola bars with complimentary coffee. My boyfriend and I were looking for a nice place to stay that's nearby the New Hope/Lambertville area. We were looking for a decent but nice place. I have to say the website is extremely misleading. It looked pretty nice from the pictures. But when we pulled up to the place, I was very disappointed. The place was so dated and falling apart. We go the suite which wasn't badly priced, and the room was actually quite large. There was a big flat screen good channels, wi fi.... but everything was so dated. There were two men staying in the rooms adjacent to our building and they were shirtless and grilling on a portable grill with cigarettes hanging from their mouths. as we were putting our belongings in our room, and it they really creeped me out. They were staring at us... and I felt really uncomfortable. Towels were really small. And we were only given two. As much as the room was clean and big...... the ambiance really brought our experience down a few notches. If you're just looking for a place to sleep for the night, it's fine. Their ad is very appealing, but .... When first entering my room I was greeted with the aroma of freshly ground trash with a subtle hint of body odor. It's a good thing that I decided not to plop my self onto the bed after a 5 hour drive since the bed is as soft as concrete and the end result would have been a trip to the local hospital for a spinal fracture. I did like the pillows, the next time I have a flat tire and need to wedge something under the other tires to steady my truck I will use one of these (I sure hope thay are for sale).I found the bathroom to be very retro, circa 1963. I assume they were renovated to look like this, but the dead bugs that I found on the bathroom floor could only parallel the petrified state of their cousins in the Museum of Natural History. I guess they haven't been renovated then. If your in the area and want to stay here my advice is to hit the gas as fast as you can, screech the tires and find a better place. Of course they will be happy to give you a great rate. Enjoy your stay, but not here. read more
