HORRIBLE SERVICE! I received a call from hotel staff confirming my check in time. I advised I would be arriving late. I was instructed to ring the bell on the side of the door to gain entry when I arrive. When I arrived there was no staff at the front desk. I rang the bell, I knocked on the door, we knocked on the windows, we called dozens of times. Apparently the initial calls were to the "wrong number" but it was literally the number he called me from. I then called the number directly to the hotel which had the same phone tree the other number had! Left messages with my phone number to call me ASAP. I was traveling with my daughter and niece for a softball tournament and began to look for another place to stay. Due to a hot air balloon festival in the area there were virtually no vacancies within a 20 mile radius of the place. We found a small motel about 5-10 minutes away that had a room. The next morning I went to speak to staff and this person was condescending and rude! Tried turning it on me as if it were my own fault for not trying hard enough to reach THEM when they didn't have anyone at the front desk. He tried to tell me he may have stepped away for a few minutes. It took us 30-40 minutes to throw in the towel on this place before we started calling every hotel in the area. We didn't find a place til an hour after THAT! He had the nerve to text me to come back to the hotel because he was at the front desk now but I had already paid an additional charge at the new location. When I explained all this to the staff member he said I was not being honest and I could leave because I need him and he doesn't need me. He knew that there were no rooms anywhere nearby and threatened to leave me roomless if I proceeded with a bad review. The truth was I needed the room for my girls. The second I left that place I made sure to get on every single platform and warn people to steer clear from this place! Proceeded to charge me for both nights even though I only stayed there ONE! With PROOF of calls, messages, and the new bill. And continental breakfast is a lie. It's just cereal. And there are more spiders in that place than cars in the parking lot. The jacuzzi was broken. Take a fast bath because the hot water gets cold within minutes.

The stink bugs were crawling all around the door area.

The room is filthy and the beds were horrible. Ice machine produces dirty ice. Train drove by a 6 am. Also blood stains on couch.

The rooms are freshly renovated, which isn't even shown online as of yet & is a surprise when you arrive! Plus, the dining area / restaurant that is available for breakfast has a pleasant & comfy feeling for eating alone or with friends / family. Benny, the front manager, was available when i checked in (fortunately!). He is extremely knowledgeable regarding hotel management & how to manage 3rd party bookings. The agent i booked thru hadn't sent my reservations through by the time i had arrived. He calmly explained the process because i was annoyed with the company. He took his time, found a number to contact them & called. He talked through the issue (they had forgotten a step to provide the hotel a required booking number) with the clerk on the phone & helped her push my confirmation number thru. This was above & beyond customer service - i should have been the one to talk to the agent since it's my booking. And to also watch Benny help this representative in the Philippines do her own job by walking her thru the steps so that she was able to push the reservation thru was quite impressive. He knew how & helped this woman do her job in another country! And he spoke in Tagalog at points she couldn't understand English words. Impressive, Benny! You are a world class manager. And what a kind gentleman on the phone. My hero (& the agency rep woman) for a day! Good job, bud.

I booked a room on Priceline. I had the Hampton confirmation number, the Priceline confirmation…read morenumber, and proof of charge to my credit card. When I checked in Saturday night after a very long travel day at 12 midnight, the night front desk attendant could see my reservation in the system but he said it wasn't confirmed and my card was declined. I showed him proof of the confirmation numbers and the credit card's successful charge, and he still would not honor my reservation. He asked for the card I used to make the reservation and then said he needed it for incidentals. I gave it to him and he swiped it, then he gave me a room key. The next morning after I checkout out, I got a text message from my credit card company asking me if I authorized a second charge for Hampton Inn. He used the card swipe to charge me a second time for the room rate. I called Priceline and after 25 minutes, they said they contacted Hampton and they would look into it. Then Priceline asked me to email them all the documentation, and I instead just disputed the charge with my cc company. I did not authorize this night front desk attendant to charge me for a room I already paid for; I only gave him my card for incidentals (of which there were none), and he unscrupulously charged my card. He should have just taken my information and had a manager speak to me in the morning, since I provided 3 types of proof of purchase/confirmation that the room was indeed booked and paid for. Room was fine, bed was comfortable, bathroom was recently remodeled and clean/modern. Cleaning crew was also quite loud starting at 7am, so it did disturb my sleep (despite the do not disturb sign on the doorknob) when I really needed it. The hotel rate was over $200 for the middle of NJ on a Saturday night in August so it wasn't a great value to begin with. Just didn't have a good transactional experience with my reservation at the front desk, and I should never have been charged a second time and certainly not without my consent or authorization. Thus I can't give more than a single star.

Temperature perfect, the sauce!!! and the carrots julienned with the best spice and maybe a pinch of brown sugar (tried guessing because it was so good, these were not carrots ! So much more. And a purple potato mash that was ... I mean everything was beyond our hopes. We chose the fresh fruit desert that had a very unusual combination, 2 of which I'd never had before. I'm now a convert. We were served by Tracy clearly and expert (warm but not making herself the focus) with Brady in training and already up to speed. Some things I noticed. When food came out the whole kitchen came out and served everybody at once! How refreshing to see that. All servers were attentive and paying attention to the entire room. No one felt unnoticed and forgotten. The wonderful woman behind the desk at the entryway, took us on a tour of the event space with complete joy and enthusiasm. She didn't seem put out at all in fact I wanted to just hang out with her for a while. So welcoming. The second we walked in the door everyone said hello to us as if they had known us for years! We just moved here. We had never been there in our lives. The property is perfectly maintained, makes quite a statement, and the new converted barn was my dream barn. My only regret is that I didn't get to meet all the sheep on the property. If any guests come to visit us in our new home in French Town, we're going to recommend they stay there in one of the cottages possibly or the in itself so that they can have the ultimate comfort and the elegance. They would expect in an overnight that I fear, our guest room will not lend itself to. I want to get married again so I can get married there! I want to eat there once a week! Gratitude to my niece who we asked for a recommendation of where we should eat for a nice meal to celebrate my husband, after a big achievement. She has lived here for three years and as a trained nutritionist and chef herself. She said the only place you should go is the Woolverton Inn and its New Restaurant. She will be receiving a gift! Lastly, I was so overwhelmed upon entering the restored barn that I forgot the name of the elegant man who received us with such grace. He's a gracious host and constantly circulated the room keeping an eye on the flow with light personnel suggestions ( potato soup with lobster next time! I promise) and birthday wishes for a large families grandmother. Go, enjoy, stay there, eat there, bring friends there! Bon apetite!

I actually forgot my own shampoo/conditioner and soap, but I wouldn't hesitate to use these again. In fact, since I may be traveling back to this hotel, I wouldn't even bother bringing my own. Might as well save some space in the luggage. It was great to have a little Starbucks in the lobby, it's not what you'd expect from a normal Starbucks, but it was the same coffee and they had a mini of the same food products. I enjoyed the avocado toast and a colleague of mine ordered the breakfast burrito. We both enjoyed them. And the staff that managed this area was extremely friendly. In the evenings, I didn't notice if they served food, but we did stop and share a pint before calling it for the night. Many other travelers used it to hang out and catch up, we even saw some people bring their own board games. The only issue I had during the entire stay was apparently I had the only room with a tree branch that proceeded to scrape against the window and cause a horrible sound inside. It would've been nice if somebody would've come to check it out rather than giving me the only option of packing up my belongings and moving them to a new room, I was too tired and not interested in doing that, so I ended up sucking it up. Hopefully they resolve this for the next person, but it looks to me like this overgrowth has been there for a little while. Clean, spacious room, very comfortable bed and pillows, quiet, free breakfast, indoor pool, gym, easy free parking, safe neighborhood and restaurants/stores close, reasonable prices, towels very good quality and clean and they have soap bars! I would stay here again. Only things I did not like: --The free breakfast was "Okay" but would have been great if they had Hard Boiled Eggs and higher quality yogurt. They did have oatmeal. Since Covid, it's hard to find a free great breakfast anymore at a hotel. --Got back at 2 AM and the shower only had very hot water! I ran it for 10 minutes and still only HOT-burning HOT! What the problem was is that a new control arm was installed and they they did not test the temperature. I temporarily fixed it by turning the water off and then applying max pressure to the control arm while turning it on so that it would grip the cold control. The shower was now a bit only on the just warm side--not hot but good for one shower--I survived. I would have to change rooms if I was staying another night. --Staff at the front desk is not the friendliness, even by LA Standards, but they get the job done. They just don't seem happy there for whatever reason. I tried to talk them up--they were not interested in even light conversation. Everyone is under financial pressure these days effecting their work attitude. Maybe it was me and they did not want to chat with me--don't know. --No hook or high towel bar to hang up my toiletries bag in the bathroom--I had to hang it in the closet. Wish there were more hooks for efficiency. --No free bottled water and it it costs $4-5 a bottle!! Overall, I would recommend a stay here--just turn the shower on when you get in the room to make sure it works on your temperature.
