First time using Travel car parking service, needed to park here for 10 days for a vacation trip from LAX. They will call and pay Lyft for you, for both drop off and pick up. I made my booking online, arrived, from left my key til Lyft ride arrive only took me 10 minutes I'm not kidding. Only took me 7 minutes from travel car to LAX by Lyft. I returned LAX last night, got my luggage then called their phone number, stuff is very nice and called Lyft for me right away, Lyft arrived after 5 minutes. And before I jump out from Lyft, the staff and my car already there waiting for me. I barely leave reviews on Yelp as I'm pretty lazy, but I was telling myself I had to leave a review for this one. Was very worried we were picking our car up from here once I stumbled across the reviews here. We'd booked via Expedia so had gone for proximity to our hotel. On the morning we were due to collect our car I tried calling as we wanted to get it at 2pm rather than 11am, however no one answered. As it was nearby we actually went there and was relieved it wasn't that difficult to find after all. Go to The Bloc, down the escalators, across the patio area to the back left and down another escalator. Anyway spoke to the guy and was relieved that the car was there and they were expecting us and it was fine for us to come later that day. When we went back to collect it there were no problems, although it was the first time I've ever hired a car and not been upsold, offered more insurance etc. Customer service was non-existent, but we got the keys and off we went. Travelcar is a scam and uses shady practices to "bait and switch" prices on customers, a practice that is illegal! After repeated calls from California to a +44 UK number, the only customer support number they provide on their confirmation emails (no local number in the US) to Travelcar and being told by the European lady on the CSR line to email different email accounts (including domains for Carhire-Solutions and Carnect), no one ever answered. I will be reporting Travelcar to the local, state, and federal US authorities for fraud. They will quote you X cost for a car rental or other services, and omit that there is a 30-50% amount of fees, taxes, and other charges on the booking. There is nowhere on the buying or checkout process where they alert you to this or that you may have to pay later. That is until you receive the booking confirmation email, amongst several other emails you receive, and the PDF attachment mentions that there will be a 40% extra charge you'll be expected to pay upon pickup of your car hire. That is called bait and switch. The fact that no one from their customer service will answer emails and the lowly CSR on the phone will do nothing except advise you to email, is evidence of the unreasonable service they provide. read more

Worn down tire tread, not working USB, and they didn't even give me a DIME back in refund. They also withheld my $300 insurance holding money. I had to call them about 5 times total, AFTER my rental return. I also had to take that car to the local mechanic due to low tire pressure, I kid you not. Beware and enter at your own risk. Outstanding value! I parked out front in the small lot and then went inside, where I was promptly assisted by a super friendly gentleman. Like, seriously, I typically feel like parking assistants are bored and bland, but this guy was really nice. The check-in process was quick, he called me a Lyft to take me to the airport, and he took my car keys so that my car could be moved to a storage lot. My Lyft came in just about 5 minutes and it was a quick ride to the airport. Upon returning, I called the provided phone number and they ordered a Lyft to pick me up at the airport. This unfortunately took about 10-15 minutes total, but I feel like Lyft always takes a while to pick up at LAX because of all the traffic. When I got back to TravelCar, my car was in the front lot already, and another nice man was there to greet me, give me my keys, and help load my luggage into my car. The reviews were hit & miss when I was looking for parking. Since almost every lot was sold out, I thought I'd try & see if I got the hit or the miss. I got the hit! Directions got me right to business. Whole process from paperwork, to handing over key, to Lyft arrival was less than 5 minutes. Return trip had incorrect number to call on paperwork, but I called the number & was given correct number. Very nice gentlemen answered & said I'd receive a text for lyft. I received text, located driver & was back to my car quicker than I would've with a shuttle. I walked in & my key was ready & we we headed home. DEPARTURE: Upon arrival at TravelCar, I was shocked to see how small the lot was. There was only one person working front desk - that should have been a sign they were understaffed. It took me a total of 40 mins to check in and make it to the airport! I barely made my flight! ARRIVAL LAX: 6/17 I called the conceriage, Kim, at 8:20pm. I did not have any baggage to claim, so Kim called a driver to pick me up after my first phone call. Long story short, it took more than an hour for the Lyft driver to pick me up. The first two drivers canceled, which was very unprofessional. Leonardo called me and asked where my destination was. When he found out that it was only 2 miles from the airport, he canceled immediately. I waited more than 1 hour in the cold, which was miserable after a long trip from Kansas City. I requested a discount or refund considering the 3rd driver ended up at a wrong location, but have not heard back from customer service. Thankfully, I made it to Alfonso's car at 9:38pm. He patiently waited 10 mins while I frantically ran more than 1 block to find him! NEXT DAY: I called TravelCar the following afternoon to discover I could have called an Uber and received a refund for the expense. The conceriage, Kim, never mentioned this option. I am very dissatisfied with the service provided and even more disappointed with the customer service line. They offer a unique option for airport parking modeled after their success in Europe How does it work? Book your parking via their app (or call in), drive to their lot 1 mile from LAX, give them your keys and earn money while allowing others to rent your car. Then take their complimentary ride to from the airport. Pretty simple and low stress, and they even wash you car right before you pick it up. But Aram at Travelcar won me over when he gave me a Travelcar cell phone holder for my car, and asked simply that I write a review (not necessarily a positive one, mind you). Without exaggerating, you know how you expect things to go a certain way when you do business? Well, Travelcar exceeded my expectations. I know that they have some of the lowest parking rates at LAX, but when I first parked and when I returned to pick up my car, things were so efficient. No wait time, and the Lyfts that they called to take me to and from the airport arrived right away. Aram also greeted me with keys to my car and helped me load my baggage, but I assume he was able to do this because I was the only customer there at the time. I had never heard of Travelcar so was reluctant to try their service. The only reviews I found were from Europe and it appeared they were a French company. While still hesitant, their site was easy to use and pricing very competitive. The process was simple and all done electronically, even with text updates reminding me of the reservation before and after my trip. I forgot the name of the person who helped me, but he appeared to be the manager and was very helpful getting me checked in (no paperwork) and then setup an uber to the airport. After my trip, I called the number from the business card I was given and was picked up by another uber driver who took me back to the office, where my car was already parked out front. I had considered other places in the area but the pricing was either too high or it sounded like a shady operation. Despite the lack of Yelp reviews, I had a great experience and will definitely use them next time I travel through LAX. read more

I very rarely type any kind of review, however, I must write about someone like Mr. Aram, someone who loves his job and takes care of his customers with an eagerness that is very hard to find nowadays. I made a reservation through TravelPark/TravelCar to park at Sam's Park near LAX. Arriving at Sam's Park, they had no reservation for me. I showed them the receipt from TravelPark/TravelCar; Sam's Park told me that the TravelPark/TravelCar is a scam. TravelPark/TravelCar charged my credit $12.95; $7.38 as a service fee and $5.57 in city tax. They claimed Travelcar is misrepresenting them and they won't stop. I had to call the police before they agreed. We went to a well known car rental company near LAX and it was so shady. They offered us a much more expensive rate than what we saw online with a bunch of extra fees. Luckily my bf found Travel car. We were a little skeptical in the beginning given a much lower price compared to other companies. However, we took a leap of faith to try it out. Hassle Free Parking. TravelCar (Los Angeles) What a find! Decided on TravelCar only because of their consistently great reviews, as I had been searching for a better go-to company to use for my long term parking needs. And not necessarily at a higher price point. What makes TravelCar unique? Two things: excellent onsite customer service reps and TravelCar's use of Uber in lieu of airport shuttles. I was a bit dubious at first as to how reliable the ride app was going to be at transporting me and my daughter and two huge pieces of luggage (I always overpack!) from their lot to the airport, but it was actually the fastest, most attentive airport ride I've ever experienced. A Travelcar rep does everything--calls Uber for you and makes sure the transaction is complete and hassle free. My daughter and I were out in minutes. At the end of our trip, our Uber ride was at the airport in minutes. No more 1/2 hour waits for the "next shuttle." Great experience here. My husband and I arrived around 5:45AM to drop off our car at travelCar. Someone arrived exactly at 6AM (since that's when they open) to complete the transaction and call us a Lyft. Lyft was super quick and we got to the airport so early. It was great! We left our car there for 5 days and it only came out to $81 which is nothing compared to LAX parking rates. On our way back, a Lyft driver picked us up and took us back to travelCar where our car was parked. The Lyft is fully paid by travelCar. Great experience and will use this again. Stay away from this place. You may save a little money by parking there but we ended up waiting for nearly an hour for our pick up. Not exactly what you want to do after a long flight. The website states that they use Uber or lyft to pick you up, and maybe they did in the past. Now they have contracted drivers and combine pickups to save themselves a trip. We got fed some BS story about traffic being too heavy, resulting in the long wait for us. But but even with the heavy traffic it would take about 15 minutes according to google maps at that time to get to the terminal from the parking spot. I should start by saying I'm not one to leave reviews, but because I'm somewhat in this business and because they are (relatively) new, I figured why not. This review is in regards to TravelCar's Rental Service. I came to Los Angeles from Washington, D.C. for a vacation with friends. On a budget, a friend sent me a link to TravelCar's website. It looked great, so I did a search and found a good deal. The website seemed like a typical rental car set-up (not a bad thing), and prices were great! After booking, I got a confirmation e-mail, uploaded a couple of documents, and was good to go. However, I used the wrong credit card, so canceled it and made a new reservation. This is were it got a little dicey-- My second reservation did not come with a confirmation e-mail (though I may have messed something up on my end). So I called. I should say I called a few times. One was a gentleman who was great, and gave me his e-mail address to send documents. Didn't get a reply so I called again. This time I got France. Yes, I believe this company has origins in Europe/France. Two times I called France and was un-easy. Once was to get a confirmation e-mail-- he took down more notes and confirmed my images I e-mailed. He sent a confirmation e-mail as well. It looked like I was getting the wrong number to call. I asked about any deposits and finally got told "you need to call the agency of the rental car for more information". I freaked out. "Is this through some third party? I also read notes that I'm renting someone else's car. Is this true? What's going on?!" Also, my App didn't work so great (but that could have been me, too) and when calling it said "Press 1 for English", which I did, but the system didn't understand...the small things were adding up. So I called the L.A location on site. I got to speak with the manager luckily, and after that the experience was GREAT. I forget the managers name (yikes!) but he was amazing. -YES, I had a deposit of $300 that would be refunded after drop off (this may vary I think). -YES, this IS someone else's car (think AirBnB for cars) Getting picked up from the airport was easy. I called the L.A number again and got Ashley who was the BEST. She helped with all my annoying questions so patiently, guided me through the airport, called the Lyft (they partner with them to take you on site), and I arrived. The facility itself is not great (tucked away in the industrial center by LAX) but who gives? There is a small waiting room, and again...it didn't matter because I was in and out in minutes. She took my deposit, verified insurance, then walked me outside. We did a walk around of the car, and then I got messaged a summary of the walk around (I didn't look at it because I'm in the business and don't really care/I know what they are looking for). It was a 2015 Toyota Prius. Outside was dinged and scratched all over, but who cares? It drove great and was in one piece...everything worked. The "Maintenance Due" light was on, but again, knowing cars, I knew it had just come on and was nothing to worry about. I'm sure if I called to ask they would have helped 100%. Returned it with the same amount of gas, did another walk around, and got taken back to the airport VERY quickly. Got my deposit back within a few business days. In all, the company may need to work on sealing some logistics. Overall, 100% would use again and would recommend. I even wish there were more locations! It doesn't have the big name brand feeling, which is good for the most part. Give it a shot, I don't think you'll have any regrets! read more

1.5 hour wait to get picked up from LAX This was our first time using TravelCar and also our last time. Great experience dropping off our car: Only had to wait a few minutes to get a Lyft car and the TravelCar attendant was pleasant. VERY BAD experience with the pick up: TravelCar arranged a Lyft driver for our LAX pick up. Driver called said there was a lot of traffic and he would be arriving in 25 minutes. Long wait...but what can you do? 45 minutes later (with lots of phone calls & texts) Lyft driver cancels our pick up. Why??...TravelCar is only a short distance away from LAX but takes a long time to travel with the traffic. In short, they would rather pick up another customer with a farther destination=more $$. Ultimately, TravelCar had to send out their own employee to pick us up with MY car. In total, we waited 90 minutes to get a ride!!! TravelCar LA needs to have their own shuttle/car service for LAX in order to have consistent and satisfied customers. Yes, TravelCar is cheaper than other airport parking sites BUT it's not worth it to save a few bucks. And are you willing to chance waiting a VERY LONG time to get a ride? Do NOT book with this place. I made a reservation for parking, and my checkout time -- clearly marked on my reservation -- was 11:45 pm on Sunday (last night). Their operating hours are listed everywhere (online and at the office) as 6 am - midnight, 7 days a week. I got to the passenger pickup at 11:30 pm and called the number they gave me when I dropped my car off. Called 15 times, left a message. Nothing. So I ubered to the TravelCar office, knowing they closed at midnight. I got there at 11:53 pm to a locked office door. Stood outside. Alone. At midnight. As a female traveler. No way to get in touch with anyone. Their contact number kept going to voicemail, and another 800 number I found in my reservation email wouldn't even connect. I finally gave up and ubered all the way home to Pasadena. It's 7:08 am the next day (Monday). I've called 3 times. They are supposed to have reopened at 6 am. Still can not get in touch with a single person to get my car. Enraging and extremely anxiety-inducing. Not to mention, my card has already been charged for this terrible service. read more
