Lovely ambiance, full of college students even early in the morning on a weekday (7:00- 9:00 AM.) The staff were lovely and helpful, and you can sign up for discount points on your phone. They serve your meal directly to you sometimes. The chocolate muffin was perfectly heated and better than the cinnamon apple crumble muffin, which needs more apples. All three Frappes I had were blent nicely with no chunks of ice. They weren't as heavy as Starbucks', but smooth and good. You can't go wrong with any flavor: S'mores (fav) or Snickers (for chocolate lovers). Arrive early and enjoy your time. The shop fills up fast. It's only a short walk from campus and better than Starbucks. The price is around the same: $9.00 for a 16 oz. drink and muffin as of August 2022. The Summer Drink Special will end September 2. **Note: the counter stickers are $2. Don't grab one off the counter and stick it on your phone, thinking it's free like I did. I don't live in SGF anymore, but you better believe when I'm in town, Traveler's is on my to-do list! Love, love, love the staff and the owners are a great family. The coffee is delicious, the food is wonderful, and there's plenty of space to work or chat/hangout. I'm total I grabbed a large coffee (nutty Irishman is off menu but so, so good!) and a turkey sandwich and it was around $11. The new space next to campus is also pretty great! If you're a bear in need of a space to study and grab some caffeine, you know where to go! read more

Great ambiance, low key coffee and pastries. Lattes are awesome, I got honey and lavender and extra hot. It wasn't too sweet and had great flavor. This place does get busy traffic in the morning. I went to this Traveller house a couple times. During the day it was quite but in the morning it was pretty busy. They have a good selection of coffee and at a reasonable price(compared to Starbucks). Since I don't drink coffee I focused on tea, bake goods and smoothies instead(not a lot of choices). The cashier mentioned they bake some of their own pastries and quiche and ordered some from the local bakery. They also have the private meeting room that fits about 20 people, the room located in the back of the place. My work actually had a morning meeting there once! The coffee shop also has the customer parking spots conveniently located behind the building. read more

Not much seating available for how busy it was when I came it at 11 am. Service took about 5 minutes and the workers were working fast and efficiently. Paid $17 for two coffees and quiche, but expected that with coffee shops these days. It was pretty loud in there, so I wouldn't want to study there like I'm sure many college students would like to do as there are living spaces right above. read more

Whenever I need something to keep warm, I would cross the road from my school and get the HOT Chocolate over here. The hot chocolate here is very good! I would get the chocolate croissant and enjoy my time over there when I am free. It is an excellent place to hang out with friends after school or even if you are craving for coffee. read more

I have been here several times before but today I had the worst experience. The woman behind the counter was rude in the way she talked to me and just the way she looked. When another employee came in they talked and seemed like they were judging the customers. My drink was great. I had some friends meet me there to study. They are not huge coffee drinkers so they were coming for the experience. The workers STARED at us when they hadn't ordered anything. I thought me getting a drink and planning on getting food later on would be enough. I was so uncomfortable and I will never come back to this location. read more

So my girlfriend and I had been going to Traveller's regularly and doing homework there. It's a nice atmosphere, usually not noisy. We would go in at least three times a week and do homework. One day, we find our seats and start doing our homework, with the intention of finishing up an assignment that we were in the middle of and then ordering. The lady that works there came up to our table and rudely asked us to order a drink. Kind of bugged me considering we were regulars and definitely brought you guys some money in. I've been to this coffee shop many times, and I recently had the worst experience. I walked in to study and do my homework. I needed the wifi password, so I politely went to the front and asked the worker if she could give it to me. She says "it should be printed on your receipt" after which I tell her that I hadn't bought anything, and that I was simply wanting the wifi password. Then she responds back saying "would you like to buy anything" and I said no thank you. She then directs me over the refrigerator of drinks and asks me if I want to buy something from there. As I'm looking, 2 ladies walk into the coffee shop. They immediately walk up to the front (keep in mind they haven't bought anything yet) and they ask the worker for the wifi password. The worker immediately replies with the password and the ladies thank her and go their way. I was really upset after what happened and I told the worker that I wasn't interested in buying anything and I just left. She was basically forcing me to buy something when I clearly did not want to. It seemed so rude of her to do that, and the fact that I was being polite and the worker wasn't was not good customer service. Another incident happened where the worker tried to tell me that I couldn't have outside food or water , and asked me to leave or put it in my bag... The coffee house is good but never rent at Boomer Town that place is terrible and very unsafe!! My daughter woke up with a man leaning over her bed looking at the air conditioner yes the maintenance men just wake in after one knock! Plus my daughter got locked out of her apartment for a whole day because no one answers the phone and no emergency maintenance. My son and I came in to Travellers this morning. After I had made made my order I noticed the barista was wearing a mask - under his chin!!!! Even without COVID 19 and the mask ordinance it , I feel it would be a good idea for baristas ( or anyone preparing food or drinks ) to wear face covering just for sanitary reasons in general. At first I wasn't going to say anything but then I felt that most of the young people (I know how I felt at that age- afraid to say something when I should) that were in there would not say anything. When the lady brought me the drinks and food, I politely asked her if I could talk to her and told her my concerns about the barista and she rudely dismissed me saying "oh yeah, yeah". And I said "You have a sign in your door and it is an ordinance in Springfield and you're not taking this seriously." She was very rude back to me. She screamed, "I am going to say something!" With that attitude I think she was more angry that I pointed it out than that there was an issue. I could not drink the coffee I paid for with the thought of him making it. I will never go to this establishment again and would not recommend anyone going there. Not just for the blatant disregard of the mask ordinance but also for the poor customer service. read more
