Solidly good AAFES Express station. Lots of gas pumps (and even more across the street at the auto shop!) and a decent traffic flow pattern, if a bit cramped. The Express shop itself is great (There's a Popeye's attached, by the way.) There's the usual selection of coffee and prepared foods, and shelves of snacks, and a wall of chilled drinks, a decent-size liquor selection. It's about twice the size of a normal gas station shop in civilian world. Bathrooms: None that I could see, but maybe the Popeye's next door has some? read more

Of course this place is five-star quality. The main reason is they are open longer than just about 80% all other Air Force bases. They don't close till late and they open up early as well. Also stuff in stock that you need and the gas pumps work with no issues as well. That's why I like this please. read more

Cheaper than all the rest. What more needs to be said? I love that Travis has 2 gas stations, right across from each other. Between the two of them, about 30 cars can pump gas at the same time. At the older station on the south side, you can also get tires and repairs, at the new station across the street you can get your nom nom on at the Popeyes, or stock up at the mini mart. read more

The equivalent to the civilian gas station/convenient store, military bases have shopettes. Cheaper gas than what you usually find around town. Sometimes Costco may actually have a cheaper price. Anything you need from snacks, drinks, booze, to toiletries and essential over the counter meds and baby items if you don't want to drive off base to Walmart or Safeway. Popeyes is right next door if you're craving some fried chicken. A couple of the employees here youll find act like they don't want to be there. At least they're fast and efficient. I think the biggest change over the past few months besides the emergency buttons were the Red Box kiosks outside. It's about time. Haha read more

The shoppette on Travis AFB is an all in one stop shop. The gas is pretty cheap too! If you want a quick bite to eat, Popeyes is right next door. You can actually walk through the shoppette to get there without ever stepping foot outside the door. This is very convenient especially if it's raining. The shoppette has everything from a loaf of bread to some pretty good liqueur and fine wines. Did I mention there is no sales tax? When I stay at the Air Force Inn, we often stop in and grab some goodies from here and sometimes rent movies. Yes! That's right. You can either rent movies from Aafes inside which has a very small selection of titles or you can rent from the red box right outside the door. The gas station is always hopping with customers because the gas is so cheap. There is something for everyone at the shoppette. read more

Good little store that have really anything you may need. I worked night shift for the majority of my time on base so this place was great for when I'd need snacks or anything because the chowhall would be closed. I also liked that they sold used movies which I always took advantage of. read more

The only reason why I'm writing this review for the Shoppette is because I happened to do a Yelp Check-In during a visit with my father as he needed fuel for his car. Is it really worth a review? I honestly don't know... It's not like this place has it "going-on." It's basically a convenience store found on a military installation. It still looks fairly new (even though it's really not), it's clean, it offers cheaper gas than its civilian counterparts in the area, and best of all, absolutely everything is sales tax free -- which is a benefit of shopping on a military installation. read more

Gas station on base that has booze and hard liquor. Sometimes Costco gas is cheaper, but easier to get gas here since I work on base. Two stations, across the stress from each other but one is like a gas station you'd find off base like AM/PM with a mini mart and the other side there's a Firestone where you can get tires and your car fixed. My spouse served in the Marine Corps for over two decades and not once have I ever felt stupid or mistreated and have an employee be so utterly rude to me then I was treated today by a woman cashier named Paula that works in the Travis Air Force Base Express gas station store, not once have I ever had problems with a cashier or commissary, employee or anyone who works on any base we have been stationed at then I was treated today. She has been rude to not just me but to almost everyone in all the times I go into the store. Finally today I told the manager because she not only was rude to me of course but she completely embarrassed me in front of the other customers and made me feel stupid this woman is a bully if you look up the definition in the dictionary for bully she meets every single word of criteria of the word bully. This woman Paula has no right to treat customers this way. I give all respect to the exchange employees just as they should do me but that woman has no respect for any of those customers coming in the store. So I would be aware of when you go in there she is about 5 foot 5, blonde hair, mullett and her name is Paula. And honestly I'm going to say this because I feel sorry for this woman that she's so miserable that she has to treat her customers so horribly I feel sorry for you Paula you should smile you have a beautiful smile.
