First the last time I went here, with my required full Synthetic, vehicle, Hybrid, I paid $94 and change, got a Veteran discount of a WHOLE $2.00 Whoopdeedoo, LOL. Today I went to, Take 5, same car, and got a 25% Veteran discount, bringing my total down to$79 and change, and no extra charge for removing and replacing that bottom engine shield. What a joke. I've been coming to this place for over 30 years and since the new ownership - hours changed, they take a break whenever, and they are now closed several days a week. If you're only looking to get an oil change to get your maintenance light off, then they will get it done with one lane eventually for a hefty price and wait. I apologize to all the people that I recommend to The Oil Connection, since I stopped going due to a new vehicle. I was recently in the area and recommended a family member, as I recalled the days of Manager Steve his personable team, excellent customer service and feeling of a genuine community business. The employees were very friendly and although it was not as fast as I expected it might be, it was still very reasonable and the fact that you get to stay in your car makes the wait painless. I was greeted warmly by Ashley and she provided me with a quote. There were two bays open while I was here, but there seems to be more bays that could be opened. The crew communicates very well with each other. They practice safety both in the pit and above. The actual service took exactly 13 minuets from start to finish. The tech checked all fluids and topped off those that were low. Charles was my service tech, he moved thru the process quickly and efficiently and was a very nice man. One thing I liked is that they don't pressure you to up sale for other stuff...they did tell me of any concerns that were noticed. Time is money and these folks don't waste any time getting your oil change complete as fast as safely possible. I just wish they had a little bit more room to work. The lanes are very narrow and I don't recommend taking a vehicle any larger than a quarter ton truck. read more

Just got a commuter car and noticed the oil had not been changed in 18 months and my low oil light came on so it was imperative that I have it done. Unfortunately there aren't many places open before/after I get off work so I looked on Yelp to see what was close by my work so I could drop it off and walk. I came upon The Oil Connection and decided I was going to drop it off on my lunch break and walk back if there was a long wait. The Yelp reviews were good and some people said they were in and out in 15-20 minutes. I called and the lady who answered was very polite and said if I came over right then there was no wait. I pulled up and one of the bays was empty. Yay! I've never been there before so I parked in the lot and went in. There was a guy who had me fill out some paperwork while he went and pulled my car in. It was at that time that I noticed the regulars just drove right in and didn't get out of their cars. How convenient! Within 15 minutes I was done and back at work with a few minutes to spare on my 30 minute lunch break. I paid $46 for the oil change and was extremely pleased with the customer service and speed of the oil change. I know I was lucky to get in and out so quick as they had 4 cars waiting by the time I was done. I will be back for sure. read more

I had first oil change Upon arrival I saw 2 rows of car waiting to enter the garage I was car number 3 on the left side There are small signs before you enter the garage informing you how enter the garage I stayed in my vehicle An employee approached to get my vehicle milage, service info, and license plate. I saw the mechanic add a couple of fluids in the engine compartment but I wasn't sure what it was I only assumed it was Windows washer fluid and something else I would have been nice if I was told what they added prior to adding The experience was good overall Staff was professional and constantly working. I've been going to the shop for decades. I bring all my cars here. Mechanics always friendly and easy to talk to. Today there was a different girl taking auto info then before. When I asked if there was a coupon. She yes in the newspaper for 5 dollars. I asked if I could get it still. She walks away. She comes back with my 50 dollar bill with no coupon deduction. I asked, no coupon applied? She replies very rudely did you bring it? Her tone of voice was very unprofessional. This is how they take care of long standing, loyal customers. Just visited this location. Showed up at 12:30 and was out by 12:50ish. Love the quick service. I wish they did check more things like tires etc. the receipt also says wipers were checked but I don't think so because I believe I need new wipers. Cost of service is about 115 which I think if I pay the dealership it's around same amount but they rotate tires etc. I guess what you are paying for is the convenience of pulling up and having the service done quickly because we all know the dealership takes hours. I saw they had a $2 off service on Yelp which I did tell the lady but I don't believe she took the $2 off. Not worth me going back for $2 lol. I really have no complaints besides what I said above. They are friendly and they put an oil sticker on and turned off my oil change light on my car. When I need my oil change done in a hurry I will return but for the extras needed at times you might need to go elsewhere. read more

I took my car here to get a oil change and they took out my air filter (as most oil change places do), while in the process of doing that, the worker ripped my air intake boot and did not let me know it was ripped almost completely in half. I find it very inconvenient and inconsiderate that they did this to my car and did not have the decency to let me know. I paid $75 (overpriced in my book) for a oil change and came home with my car in worse condition then when I brought it, regardless of how old or new my car is this should not have happened. Not to mention now I am coming out of pocket for something that was not my fault and could have been avoided if the workers had just been gentle with my car and not in such a rush. Thank goodness for The Oil Connection for being opened during the pandemic. While driving on the freeway my oil light came on. We thought stopping at a nearby gas station to get some oil and fill it ourselves will work until we get home. At the time of adding oil, my husband realized the car started smoking so he returned the oil and called The Oil Connection to get an appointment to come in right away for a quick oil change. The people there were immediately helpful upon arrival and got us in and out within 15 minutes. Not only that, we even got a free $2 off for checking in on Yelp. My oil light came on while traveling from Pacifica, California to Fairfield California. I immediately pulled over and checked my oil stick while hot and then I let it cool down some and checked. I could not tell by the oils stick what was my actual reading because the oil indicator was sporadic on my stick just on the sides. I placed 2 quarts of oil in my truck and continued on and when I checked, I was over the limit so I called oil collection to get a oil change and the proper level. They did a decent job and were friendly. I would have given five stars, but the text inform the cashier that there was a leak oil under my car/truck. I I feel he should have informed me about the leak and more importantly, if he knew where it was coming from so I can look into it. I actually tipped the mechanic because he was working solo and pretty consistently with a double line of cars/trucks waiting to be serviced. Yes, I would go there again, but express the same sentiment regarding informing me of an issue. read more
