They lost them and then disregarded my request for the cost of replacement. I left two simple 1-1/2" x 1-1/4" x 9" radius, hand-turned arched molding that I wanted duplicated in douglas fir via CNC for a project where I needed multiple moldings. The day after dropping them off, I received a call from Haas staff (possibly the owner). I was quoted a set up fee of "one thousand six hundred dollars + the cost of making them"?!? For the obvious reason that their cost was too high and there are other molding shops that provide CNC, I said that I would : "hold off for the moment...I would come back to retrieve my samples tomorrow". When I arrived the following day I was told; "We can't find the samples. They must have been thrown out by the cleaning company." As if losing my samples wasn't bad enough, they blamed it on some surely innocent cleaning people; Shame! Who would believe this story for a moment. I followed up a day later to see if they turned up and was told "no". I submitted a $700 invoice to Haas for a replacement cost for time it took me to make the samples they "lost". No response. If you want CNC work, there are other places in The Bay Area who's costs are reasonable and customary. What a shame, they are along my commute.

Haas is a great resource if you are remodeling an older home. Home Depot and Lowes don't carry all…read morethe old time moldings, but Haas can make anything -- custom moldings, casings, baseboards, etc. (basically any woodwork) to MATCH the existing pieces in your home. Their prices are reasonable (read: not exactly cheap), but the finish details count for everything in my projects. And I wouldn't want to insult the true old school craftsmen that built my old house in 1927 by settling for something that doesn't match the existing wood moldings.

I messaged this company through their website, but never heard back so I called them, Luis answered, and he was in my area, and stopped by within 15 minutes. I liked him, we chatted, I showed him my fence and he gave me two verbal numbers depending on much of the fence we decided to rebuild. He then said he's send me over the actual quote with a couple of pictures of options, so I could discuss with my neighbors. And then... nothing. I never got the quote or pictures. I send numerous text messages asking nicely for it. I called and left him a voicemail. I sent two emails through the website. Someone on Facebook who claims to know him well even supposedly messaged him on my behalf. Still zero reply. This person needs to go and take a simple course in client management. Why bother coming to my house, wasting my time if you 1) seemingly don't want to do the job and 2) can't even manage the decently a reply. I even point blank asked, if you don't want to do the job, at least just TELL me so I know. Zero reply to any attempts to make contact. I was going to hire them to do the job. All it would have taken was a REPLY to any of my attempts to contact them again. Maybe your luck will vary, but 1 star for this utter waste of time.

He didn't try to up sell me and did all he could to save me money!!! He is easy going kind, and offers exceptional customer service. He and his wonderful technician, Brian, (equally as kind), just left and I had to write a review right away. My garage is quiet, it has a new rubber seal on the bottom with new rollers and sounds like a new garage. You can trust Tim to do right by you. Save Energy did a fantastic job replacing our 4 sets of exterior French doors from start to finish…read more We found their sales and office staff to be very professional and we appreciated that Save Energy is an established local company. I was dubious that they could replace all of the doors in one day, but in minutes their large crew, led by Miguel, had removed everything, including all the interior and exterior molding and were examining and replacing rotten wood. They started working at around 8:30 am and were done installing at 3 pm! It was incredible! The doors are beautiful and the new interior framing around them is perfect. We found that one of the doors wasn't locking properly, so John Gorman, Save Energy's President, sent out Antonio a couple days later and he adjusted the hinges in minutes. Our overall experience was completely positive. Save Energy gave us such impressive service. We could not be more pleased.

Honestly, it would've been fine either way, but I love that it was a woman. Every step of the way every one was pleasant to deal with and competent at their job. They have a very dialed-in process and communications. Last, but certainly not least, the workmanship was excellent. We love our new windows and they have made our new home and workshop 100% better! They cleaned up well and were very respectful of my home when they were working. I would recommend getting a bid from them if you need windows replaced!
