The first time we went there the wait for a table was 1hr and 30/45 minutes. We were then told to sit at the bar, we sat at the bar after being told it was "first come first serve". We sat down and there was this extremely nice bartender name Katie, that will come back later in the story. There was another lady working the bar, she was blonde and very rude. Whenever I tried to get her attention she would ignore my friends and I and roll her eyes. Later on the manager (a bald man) and this other man (who was practically the manager's "teachers pet") both told the kind bartender (Katie) that we couldn't sit at the bar because we were not ordering alcohol. Katie vouched for us and continued to serve us with a big smile on her face and was extremely kind. She let us finish our food there but the manager and the man who followed him everywhere the ("other man" referred to earlier) stared us down the whole time and didn't tend to their restaurant, all they did was practically stand over us and make rude and snarky faces. We left after tipping very well for Katie and thanking her so much for her kindness and got practically stared down and felt like we were treated as if we were less than human by the two men. I called ahead today to order the gluten free pasta that I had enjoyed the time before. When I arrived to pick up my food I walked up to the hostess and told her I had an order for pickup and she walked me back to the counter for pickup where you also pay for those orders. When I was walking back behind the hostess she had looked at the manager and the other man and the other man had shook his head and whispered something to the hostess. I then went to pay and asked if they had tap to pay and the hostess had said yes and asked to bring my phone back to do it because they did not have it at the counter. As she went to pay the manager practically barricaded the exit from the pickup counter and looked at me with a snarky face and said "it's not working today". She then brought my phone back to me and I said "I can pay in cash" and she said that she didn't have any change for my $20 on a $15 meal. When I was leaving the manager and the other man smiled at me with the most snarky face. When I got ready to eat my food (right after picking it up I may add) it was cold and sticky and looked like it had been sitting out for hours when I had ordered it and picked it up all within 20 minutes. All I can say is that my friends and I were treated horribly the first time and I was the second time. Food is just mediocre aswell. My experience at Tre Vele was nothing short of amazing! Our waiter Axel was awesome! He helped us navigate the menu. He gave great suggestions on what we should order for food. There was a drink that was unavailable so he brought us a sample for all of us to try. The food was really good. I ordered the short rib pizza!!! TOO GOOD!!!!! Nice venture with high prices, small portions, and mediocre food. Went as a party of seven fora birthday brunch and ordered seven plates with two appetizers. The bad: The brunch raviolo (one ravioli) is not filling at all (for a main course). The ricotta had badly burned toast. The salmon with hollandaise was good but its potatoes were dry. The coffee latte and cappuccino had no refills. The good: The lasagna was great. The miso salad with salmon was excellent. The artichokes were great. We booked reservations in advance. When we arrived, halfway through the meal we were told that the restaurant is shutting down for a private event and therefore we needed to get any orders in for food and drink because they were going to stop serving. We were never informed of this at booking. We were celebrating an event of our own. We felt rushed and at one point the waiter even rolled his eyes. When we finished we were told we could not order dessert even to go because the kitchen had to prep for the event. We will not be back and do not recommend this to others. Sorry to have leave less than a great review. Wifey and I were really looking forward to trying to Tre Vele out. We'd heard great things and read all the positive reviews - besides we were craving Italian. We got lucky and made an 8:45 res. We didn't get seated until close to 9:30. Not faulting the restaurant for this as tables didn't seem to clear. You know- folks who finish dinner and linger forever. The service was very good. Not necessarily super fast, but attentive. The reason we won't go back is the food. Let's start with the farro salad. Not sure what we ordered and still not sure what we ate. It was not good. My wife order the redfish special + a side of cacio Pepe. She didn't care for it. I ordered the paperdelle. It simply lacked flavor all together. I ate less than a 1/4 of the meal. Asked for the check and went home hungry. I rarely complain or leave poor reviews, but this place deserves it. I won't be going back there. Again- the service/people were nice. I give them 5 stars. Meh, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The setting was very nice, ambiance inviting. Customer service definitely above average. The food was just ok. The meatball pomodoro tasted store bought and microwaved. The shrimp spaghetti was nice, the ingredients seemed pretty fresh, nice sized shrimp. No mouthgasms here though. I think the highlight of my meal was actually the afogado with a couple of shots of coffee liqueur and Baileys. I may give this place a 2nd try, I may not. I had lunch. Food was very good, but not outstanding. Service was excellent. All the employees I interacted with were warm and considerate. Ambiance, laid back, unpretentious, a bit noisy considering the place was less than half full. I would go back if it happened to be convenient, as I don't live in Sandy Springs. The one oddity I have to mention is that they don't take mobile payments, and I often don't have a credit card on me, but I did have one that day. The cashier volunteered that the owner preferred things to be "old-fashioned". WTAF??? Does it cost them a few pennies more to process? Physical cards are much more insecure. If I lost or stolen, the issuer has to take the hit, which raises costs for everyone. NFC, with a fairly new iPhone with fingerprint and/or Face ID is as safe as anything can be. I just don't care to carry a purse. I am curious, too. The printed receipt did have tip calculator recommendations, so they aren't opposed to everything new-fangled. read more

I was fairly impressed by Tre Vele! It can get busy here so I would highly recommend a reservation. It took about 30 minutes for our party of two to be seated on a Thursday evening without a reservation. The food is delicious and very authentic. They also sell their pasta by the pound if you are interested! Started off with the Hugo Spritz, bread service, and the Formaggi Misti, which contained several cheeses, honeycomb, cherries, and olives. All were very delicious! I was a bit disappointed when we started ordering entrees. While the entrees are made fresh, they do not allow you to substitute different pastas. For example, my friend wanted the pappardelle instead of fettuccine with her dish. Our server indicated that there was apparently an argument in the kitchen previously over certain pastas being preferred over others which resulted in no substitutions being allowed unless it was to accommodate dietary restrictions. However, the entrees were still very good. The lamb ragu was tender and perfectly seasoned. Dessert was an apple crostada and it was served along with fresh ice cream. Overall a good dining experience at Tre Vele with my boyfriend. Location is perfect and there is a massive parking lot. The restaurant itself is pretty big so we didn't have difficulty getting a reservation on a Friday night. Their rooftop sitting is very nice! It can be covered or open and had beautiful lighting decor. The waiter was kind and was able to accommodate some requests for the menu items we ordered. The pasta was nothing out of the ordinary - it was good, but definitely had a lot of cream in the sauce, which I'm not the biggest fan of. The pizza was good and so was their wine selection. We had their gelato for dessert and my boyfriend said the pistachio was delicious, and true gelato! We'd been looking to find an Italian restaurant recently so I'm glad we came here. We waited a very long time for entrees....but saw plenty of other diners seated after us getting their food. Service started out great but once it was clear there was an issue with our entrees coming out...kind of fizzled with lots of rushing by our table w/o eye contact. At one point our server did stop by & said it should be coming out soon. The cacio pepe spaghetti - the pasta itself had a nice bite to it but it arrived lukewarm & didn't have a lot of flavor. Needed salt badly (some maldon or other crunchy salt would have done everything!). There was none of the lemon zest listed on menu on the pasta. The eggplant parm was just ok - cut very thick & not a lot of sauce or cheese. Also lukewarm. The ravioli was reported to be good but also lukewarm. I found it a bit two sweet to eat with dinner but I was really happy to take it home for later. I also ordered the fettuccini Alfredo with mushrooms and shrimp. The mushrooms and shrimp were seasoned perfectly but the sauce of the pasta was soooo under-seasoned. I asked the bartender for salt and was shaking salt into my plate for a good bit of time. I had a blast here! I went here for dinner with friends on a Friday night. The tables were packed so we opted to sit at the bar while we waited. Margarita took our orders and made amazing recommendations. I ordered the branzino fish with a half order of cacio e pepe. My fish came with potatoes and a perfect seasoned sauce. The two paired so well together, that I would absolutely order the same thing, the same way -- again. The ambiance was amazing and very classy with a white piano as soon as you stepped in the door. Food was good overall. Keep in mind that you cannot have the table side preparation if you are sitting outside/upstairs. We were kind of bummed by not knowing this. They will still make the entree though, and it was good. The honey ricotta appetizer was awesome! They didn't have sweet tea or Coke Zero, many restaurants don't though. They also had a Fresh Pasta, Desserts and Espresso bar up front, next to a glass enclosed fresh pasta Chef who was diligently making Raviolis from scratch! We purchased some freshly made Spinach pappardelle, and 2 kinds of cannolis. Emily took great care of us - she made me a fantastic Latte, while my wife got a dirty Chai (Chai + Espresso). Shared a delicious hot Apple pie topped by creamy Vanilla Ice Cream. We will definitely be coming back for dinner!! Highly recommended! read more

My visit to TreVele was way overdo, I drive by at least 2 times a week. We sat at the rooftop bar which was absolutely beautiful and surprisingly not hot since it was 80 degrees out. This place gets busy on weekends, so I highly suggest making reservations. The drinks were phenomenal. We got the grilled artichokes as an app. They were great but cold! Our dinners were just average. I understand they were slam packed but they have been in business long enough that they should have the kinks all worked out by now. What we struggled the most with was the terrible service. We arrived with a reservation and the hostess went back and forth where to seat us several times. No biggie. No server was assigned to us, random people were placing our orders here and there. We were seated and ordered food quickly. Food came out and we didn't hear from our server for pretty much the remainder of dinner (someone from the kitchen dropped the food). I tried to order a drink several times and no one would walk by. Finally ordered a drink and it took so long to come out I had finished my meal. When it was time to go they were cleaning off the table and they spilled my husbands remaining pizza toppings and oil on his pants. I have been thinking about the food here at this place since I visited a few weeks back. The brunch/lunch menu were extensive (we LOVE options). My sister and I were seated in the rooftop patio area and it was beautiful. We sat in a shaded area so that we weren't in direct sunlight which was much appreciated. We were greeted by our waitress Sheena. It was our first time dining at Tre Vele so her recommendations were super helpful. She explained each dish we asked her about and even gave us an idea on what portions were like. On top of all of that, Sheena was so kind and attentive to us even as she waited on other tables - she exceeded our expectations as far as service goes. We put our drink orders in and they arrived in no time. Also, our food arrived hot which let us know it was prepared fresh. The flavors in each meal were out of this world. I cannot wait to make another reservation here. I'm a bit of a foodie so because the food was plated so beautifully, I had to snap some pics. I went to this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon around 2:00 with my wife and daughter. We sat at the bar and it was obvious that the staff were much concerned with other things besides their customers. The bartender took our order of three sparkling waters, then came back to take out food order. I ordered the carbonera, my wife order the same with a salad to be served with her entree. It took a long time to get out food, and when they did bring it, portions seemed rather small for the price. My pasta was mediocre, and there was very little in the way of meat, so the flavor was bland. My wife's salad, did not come out until we were pretty much finished with the entree. The bartender apologized and comped us the salad. My wife and daughter also had a glass of wine which I thought was grossly overpriced. I had a Creature Comfort. This place is quite attractive, but they were not ready for the number of customers who came in for lunch. I heard one waiter telling another that fact. All in all, we were disappointed in Tre Vele. We paid over 100 dollars for small servings of food that was not up to standard. We should have stuck with our original idea and had lunch at O'Reilly's Irish Pub around the corner. read more

Service was fine but they never asked if anyone in my party wanted a second glass of wine and they served entrees before clearing empty appetizer dishes. There were 6 in my party and each entree was "ok". The veal parm crust was soggy and bland. The sauce on the squash pasta was watery and did not stick to the pasta at all. I went there for a business lunch. I was nicely impressed by the decoration as the place is really cozy and elegant. We ordered soup of the day ( carrot) which was delicious. The. I ordered seafood pasta which was a complete deception! ‍ When the plate arrived, it was cold and the pasta was dry, no salsa at all and with no seafood flavor even nearby . There were literally three shrimps in my plate and no one squid piece. I pretended everything was in order as we were in the middle of a business conversation and I was the one who suggested to go to the place, but I wanted the earth to open and swallow me! My peer colleague ordered lasagna a nd the plate was "deconstructed" which meant the Lasagna did not have layers of pasta, bechamel and cheese, but all the meat was on the top ( (???) you must see him face as it tells more than these words.
