I ate dinner here with my book club on a Friday evening. The restaurant was busy but they still set aside a large table under a window for our big group. The server was great, welcoming each person as they arrived and taking drink and starter orders almost immediately. I had the nonalcoholic Just Peachy cocktail which was bright, fruity, and had a spiciness from the ginger beer. The table shared some appetizers: the white truffle garlic bread, the arancini, and the zucca chips were all tasty and the portions were large enough for sharing. For an entree I chose the trottole chicken pesto. It came in a bowl and it was a little too dark in the dining room to see the components. However the dish was delicious and I ate all of it. I especially liked the crunchy pine nuts among the soft pasta and the flavorful pesto. I didn't really detect any chicken although I'm sure it was there; it just wasn't noticeable in the taste. I was too stuffed to have dessert this time, but next time I visit I want to try the Hazelnut Torta or the Salted Caramel Budino. This was a nice place for a book club meeting. I'd love to be writing to tell you what a great experience we had at this new restaurant and initially it started out that way with good attentive service. But as the night went on it deteriorated. We had the calamari and meatball appetizers. Both were delicious and came out promptly. We also had wine by the glass for three of us and one cocktail. Those all came out promptly. It took quite some time for the waitress to come around to finally take our Entree order and it took even longer to actually receive the food. Just as we were starting to complain the food came out. However we had been waiting for refills on our glasses of wine for more than 15 minutes. The refills finally came out several minutes after the food arrived. Had the waitress arrive without the drinks I was ready to cancel them. Two of us had the Bolognese and one of us had the chicken Parmesan. I don't recall the third meal, but it was also a meat sauce and noodle meal. The Bolognese consisted of thick bready noodles with no flavor whatsoever and very little meat and tomato sauce. I had to pick through the noodles to get a little bit of meat sauce. I was told the chicken Parmesan had little or no flavor. And was really just a big plate full noodles and breaded chicken with some tomato sauce and calories. The meal was over $400 for four people so I expected much more than what we got. We all agreed that we would not be back. it's a nice looking trendy restaurant, but food and Service has a long ways to go. read more

Arrived around 1:30 on a Saturday, lots of open space and available parking. Was immediately greeted by the host and sat. We ordered the White Garlic Truffle Bread as an appetizer and it was delicious. Very airy texture and the cheese melted in your mouth. Not as big of a fan of the ricotta cheese but the bread it self was a great opener to the meal. For our entrees we got the Margarita Pizza and the Bolognese. The crust on the pizza was excellent, a really solid pizza that was flavorful. The bolognese was good, the texture of the pasta was really good. I ordered the seasonal vegetable plate with the fregola on the side due to a gluten intolerance. When the dish arrived, it was missing the listed seasonal vegetables, roasted Brussels sprouts and cauliflower. Instead it was mostly kale, cabbage, and squash for $16. When I mentioned this to our server, Alyssa, she went to ask the chef, who initially lied he couldn't do anything because the plates are pre-portioned. From the open kitchen, I could see the chef shake his head "no" and scoop mostly fregola with a couple Brussel sprouts into a bowl. When I told the server about my gluten intolerance, she said I wouldn't have to pay for the additional fregola the chef gave us. I appreciated that gesture, but the chef's visible attitude through the open kitchen concept made the experience disappointing and exhausting. He seems lazy and easily irritable. My friend and I dined here for the first time. We had reservations for Sunday at 5p.m. It wasn't crowded at all, thus a reservation was not needed. We had the Calamari Fritti as our appetizer. It was delicious! I had the Chicken Parmesan entree and my holiday drink was Rudolph's Replacement. My friend had the Braised Short Rib Lumache and her drink was the Sleigh Ride. The Parmesan Chicken was delicious. My drink was good though the cinnamon seemed to over power it. My friend liked her entree but said she would order something different next time because she wasn't aware the short rib was shredded. She said the same thing about the Sleigh Ride drink. She liked the drink but she didn't think it was enough in her glass for the price. Our server, Benni was very attentive and friendly. I would visit here again. Having been recommended this place by a friend, I was looking forward to taking my mom here as well as a few friends. Parking is easy since they have their own private lot. We got seated right away according to our reservation time. But it really isn't necessary since the place is pretty large and there were still lots of available tables on a Friday night. My table and I shared a bunch of their dishes, including the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, Roasted Salmon, Bolognese, wild shrimp scampi, arugula and spinach salad. I really enjoyed the shrimp scampi as the sauce was perfect for the slice of bread served on the side. The vodka rigatoni had a nice little kick to it. Salmon was cooked to perfection with a light crisp out earlier. The salad was bright and refreshing. And we really enjoyed our variety of drinks. Overall, we had a really great time. It had avocado, broccolini, some kind of seed or nut (maybe pine or pistachio-not sure), golden raisins (surpringly I liked this) corn, a couple different greens. With a light dressing. Really good. We asked for bread and got two slices, so I guess they don't give the table bread here. They have very few vegetarian options, but after asking I was told there were a couple pasta dishes that can be ordered without meat. I decided on the Tortelloni al Pomodoro which were delicious. The sauce was great and I loved all the basil. The disappointing part was my friend has a garlic allergy and all she could have was the kid's buttered noodles. Now, I totally understand it's a hard allergy, especially for Italian food, but we've been to several other Italian restaurants in metro-Atlanta where she had several options that were real meals. Such a cute spot for date night. I came here for a late night dinner and throughly enjoyed myself. It was fairly empty on a Saturday night so we sat outside with a nice breeze. Our server was great and attentive I ordered a sangria with an Eggplant Parmesan and my date had a Mexican mule w/ Bolognese. I loved both and it was up to par for what I expected. So walking in this specific one, it's very open and bright. It has TVs there if you wanted to catch something on TV but it's not a sports bar type of setup. So just keep that in mind. If you don't want usilly focus on the TV, they actually have music playing in the background. So there is an ambiance regardless so you won't be sitting in silas. It's a really good environment and it's very calm and it's not blaring and blasting you music. It has a full bar and a very large bar so you should be able to figure out what you want because they have a lot of options and a lot of space. But if you don't want to sit inside or sit at the bar, there's also outdoor seating as well. And it's really nice on a really nice day. You won't have the best view because it's just a parking lot and the street, but at least you get some air! The parking situation is good because they had their own parking lot and you don't have to pay for parking. And it's Atlanta so you never know about paying for parking LOL. Breakfast carbonara pasta - the pasta is really good. It has a good flavor (even though it could be a little bit more flavorfully impactful) but it's sauced and seasoned very well. The egg is the icing on the top,and the meat is very seasoned and gives it a nice salty flavor. Calamari - the calamari is good..the sauce that it comes with (it isn't the marinara sauce) definitely boost the flavor. Tuscan hash - was good. It's very much packed with flavor. The way the meat and the potatoes meat is excellent. It came in a smaller dish than I thought it would. But that's okay, because it had a lot of flavor and I ordered other stuff lol. Went here for our younger brother's birthday celebration, always a safe bet for above average quality better-than-chain restaurant American Italian food. Appetisers were enough to share amongst eight people (white truffle garlic bread and calamari) and tasty, would not make you full. Main courses are fresh cooked pasta and other dishes that are absolutely enormous and more than enough food to save for another meal as well. The new pasta main with cream sauce and fennel sausage and truffle was pretty good! Place was packed on a Saturday night and service was still excellent and attentive. Food comes out very quickly and all of our needs taken care of. The restaurant is on the smaller end but the windows to outside and overall layout is pretty beautiful, and you can see into the kitchen from most tables! Only weird thing: our waiter offered a cake for the birthday boy as if it would be complimentary but it ended up on the bill anyway. I've been to this restaurant before in another state and I had a great experience so was looking forward to coming again. I'm not going to lie though.. the food was "okay" at the best. I'm a huge Italian fan and I love a good rigatoni, however I was disappointed with the pasta I received and asked to switch to the bolognese instead. Giving two stars because they did not have to switch out my pasta for free but they were kind enough to do so (after I asked). I just did not want to spend a bunch of money on a meal that I didn't enjoy. I ended up getting the bolognese however I've definitely had better elsewhere. As for the truffle bread, I was not a fan although it looked amazing when it came out. I could've passed on those calories to be honest, but trusted the servers recommendations as she mentioned it was one of the popular items on the menu. Last but not least, I brought my daughter and was not offered crayons and a coloring page for her, but on the way out I noticed other kids had them. I thought that was a bit weird but it was a perfect example of the type of service we received that day. We also ordered gelato which took forever to come out (it's just ice cream??) but it was dinner time so.. trying to give the server some grace. My book club and I decided to eat here today. We were super excited since we had been wanting to try this place out. We arrived at 2:00 PM (because we had made a reservation ahead of time) & decided to be seated in one of their outdoor booths to enjoy the ambiance. As our order was being taken, there was a roach crawling on the booth. Although the server was present during this experience she did not take initiative to move us. Therefore we had to ask to be moved. After being there for almost 2 hours, only 5 out of 6 people received their appetizers. During that timeframe we did not receive refills which was rather upsetting given the restaurant was not busy. Clients who came in after us received their entrees before us. In that moment we were ready to leave due to the presence of a roach, lack of attentiveness, and the two hour wait for main courses. Management came to our table to attempt to convince us to stay and eat the food that was already cooked instead of attempting to redeem themselves for our experience. I'm surprised by the poor reviews of North Italia - it's actually a lovely spot for good food and friendly service. I've only ever been at lunchtime, but after 4-5 consistently good experiences, I'd say it's a solid 4 stars. I love their specials - the Lasagna Soup is insane, so delicious. There are occasionally a few service hiccups (drinks arriving after apps, or sides never arriving at all), but the team is so welcoming and keen to help that anything is quickly fixed when brought to their attention. When our server, Liv, came to us she greeted us with a positive attitude and fun vibes. She suggested drinks from the holiday menu and advised us on what to order based on our tastes. I totally recommend this place !! Right when you walk in the vibe is very welcoming and also cozy, you have the choice to eat inside or out. I chose inside and I did not get let down. The menu has different things you can try and enjoy !! The appetizer we got was the white truffle garlic bread. It was perfection! The truffle added a sense of zing to it giving it that great flavor and the bread was crisp and soft! It was topped with freshly whipped ricotta. It also came out perfect timing! We came here for an early dinner on a Saturday and grabbed a reservation for 4:45pm minutes before arriving. I didn't think there would be anyone there, but to my surprise, there were a few parties, and people were leaving when we arrived. We were seated at a nice booth right when you walk in so we had a view of the bar and were close to the bathrooms. I loved that the kitchen area is glass so you can see inside. Our server was with us immediately and the menu looked good. We started with the beef carpaccio and it came out quickly, probably because there were not a lot of other customers. It was a good and the bread that came with it was a nice touch. I was in th mood for pasta so I went with the squid ink tonnarelli. We also ordered the Italian Meatballs and the Little Gem Caesar Salad. We ordered the Chef's board, which was a Charcuterie. It was just ok (in my opinion) We were more than pleased with our entree's though!!, we ordered the: Tuscan Kale Salad w/ Salmon (asked for it blackened) Tuscan Half Chicken Braised Short Rib Seasonal Vegetables The Prosciutto Pizza The Margherita Pizza The Pig Pizza (delishhhhhhhh!) and Ofcourse, had to top off the evening with an affogato! Some things I took away overall.... Parking is free and convenient. Service was quick and efficient. The restaurant caters from small to large parties. The outside seating has a pull-down curtain in the event it rains. This is my second time here and it is consistently good. I love the food and the drinks are very good as well. We did try to go for happy hour but they were only serving it at the bar and that was full. So we sat at a table and paid full price instead which was unfortunate but it was still very good. I got the red Sangeria and will say it's more juicey than winey. The pizzas are yummy and good to share. The meatball appetizer includes three large meatballs which are tastey. The pasta was good and the server was average. I did end up getting charged three times for some reason, but they corrected it. Really nice Italian restaurant in the Perimeter area on Dunwoody. Huge building, aesthetics are modern and creative. I really like the open kitchen through all the windows. The menu is more modern Italian and has creative dishes and ingredients. The app was super good - the Prosciutto Bruschetta were some of the best bites I had in that area. Very prominent in truffle and the prosciutto was melt in your mouth soft and tender. For the main, I got the Spicy Rigatoni Vodka - the flavors were very good and the crispy pancetta was a good compliment. My gripe with my entree was that it was TOO al dente, which some bites were ok and edible but as I bit and tried to eat more pieces, I realized it was majority too tough and undercooked pasta. The service started out good but the waitress went MIA for long and multiple periods at a time. It's nice seeing the kitchen through the window but also it poses the reality of seeing your waitress there chatting a lot. I'd still recommend overall as I would go back and try more dishes. I had an amazing birthday dinner thanks to our exceptional waiter, Ryan. From the moment we sat down, the ambience and Ryan's service made my 51st birthday truly special. He took great care of me and my guest, and even went above and beyond by bringing my birthday dessert out to my car.
