    Linguine del Pescatore
    Carmen P.

Went with coworkers for a weeknight team dinner. I ordered the Linguine del Pescatore, which had a lot of seafood and a light tomato broth. I would've preferred a thicker, creamier sauce and thought the tomato broth was a bit plain and could've used more flavor. The portion size was big and I finished but was very full. I did order the Crudo E Rucola Pizza for takeout to eat the next day. I want to come back and try other menu items!

This place was amazing. The location was great perimeter the mall area parking was good to. You could utilize the whole parking lot. The restaurant is nice and pretty. We sat in the sunroom we started with the pepperoni sausage pizza as an appetizer. We had a mushroom risotto and added shrimp. We had the eggplant Parmesan with a side of spaghetti. We had coffee, gelato., wine, and an after dinner Liqueur .

We had been waiting so long to try Novo Cucina and we were a little underwhelmed. The food just wasn't that good. The staff is very nice and the location is super cute but everything we ate was just ehh. There are definitely better Italian restaurants in atlanta.

The risotto funghi is a must!

Great dinner as usual at Novo Cucina in Dunwoody! We got our usuals: polpette, arancini, risotto funghi, strozzapreti all salsiccia, and pepperoni e salsiccia pizza. Everything was amazing as usual. Only 2 complaints tonight: 1. We liked rigatoni alla salsiccia better (it holds the sauce better). 2. Staff wasn't trained properly (may be due to new location in Briarcliff taking away the old crew?). The table next to us came way after us, and waiter took their order first. That was odd. Still we LUV the food here and will come back!

Novo Cucina is super cute inside with a nice patio outside. Lots of parking. We went on a Tuesday night and it was packed. Our waiter was very attentive and our waters were constantly refilled. (I will note, we had to call to make a reservation because of the size of our group, and we had to call SO many times to get through to someone. A couple people dropped out day of, and we tried calling to let them know and couldn't get through.) I appreciate that they have several vegetarian items! I had a hard time choosing. I ordered the vegetarian lasagna, which was "deconstructed." It was really yummy and a good sized portion. I would've liked more veggies but that's personal preference. One of my friends is gluten free and said the gf pizza is amazing. The waiter was very knowledgeable about what had gluten in it. One is allergic to garlic and our waiter worked with the kitchen to create a dish for her (there were only a couple options on the menu they thought were safe). Others got the ravioli, risotto with chicken, and spaghetti and meatballs, and everyone enjoyed their dishes. For dessert, we got the gelato trio (the fudge brownie and coffee chocolate chip were SO good), and they put a candle in one of the scoops for the birthday girl. Two got the chocolate bread pudding which was interesting, and one got the tiramisu and enjoyed it. It was very loud inside, so it was hard to hear each other, and it was uncomfortably warm. By the end of dinner, I couldn't wait to get outside and cool down.

My husband and I dined at Novo on a Friday night, and it was packed. It is in a plaza, so you don't have to worry about parking. I did have a reservation, and when we arrived, we were immediately seated. The restaurant itself is dim and very romantic. If you are dining outside, there are fairy lights, so you do not feel completely in the dark. We sat in the sun room area of the restaurant, and I loved the tiling of the floors. The windows of the sunroom were all open as well, and even though it was night, it just offered such a nice vibe to the night. The service at Novo is amazing too. Maddie was a great waitress, and if I came back, I would love to have her again. She was super helpful with the menu and was quick with any refills as well. She even offered a side of marinara for our leftover appetizers, and we were so grateful since the marinara is so delicious. The food at Novo is delicious and made in house daily. For appetizers, we ordered the calamari fritti and arancini. The calamari was okay, but my husband loved the marinara sauce that it came with. The star of the appetizers would have to be the arancini though, and for my husband, it was probably his favorite dish of the night. My husband ordered the lasagnette, and I got the tagliatelle ai funghi. The tagliatelle also comes with an option of having truffle oil drizzled on top of it, and I will HIGHLY recommend saying yes to it. The pasta is just incomplete without it, and the oil tied it all together and made it so delicious. For me, the tagliatelle is my favorite and will probably be the dish that makes me come back. My husband and I liked the lasagnette, but we both agreed that we probably wouldn't order it again and would try their risotto or maybe a pizza next time. We did order dessert - unfortunately I forgot to take pictures. My husband ordered the brown butter pecan gelato, and I got the banana pudding gelato. Maddie said they complimented each other, and she is really not wrong. On their own, both of them are delicious. I was definitely tempted to get a pint to have at home. The banana pudding gelato tastes exactly like banana pudding, and we were stunned on how exact it was. The brown butter pecan is so creamy and has such a good roast sweetness to it. Overall, we would highly recommend Novo Cucina, and we will definitely be back! P.S. They do offer ciabatta bread if you ask for it. My husband forgot until we ordered dessert, but he really wanted to try it. Maddie was great and brought us the ciabatta to try, and it was delicious. If you are a bread lover, definitely ask for some ciabatta!

A Dunwoody classic. It's a great experience every time. The pasta, salad, beef carpaccio were so good. The service is fair, friendly. I like the ambiance it's welcoming. It's a great choice for some Italian

Novo Cucina gets a solid four stars out of me. If this restaurant was located in a smaller metro, I'd probably give it five. By Atlanta standards, it's a four. Not "OMG, I would love to go back," but "I would happily go back." This is an Italian restaurant located in a freestanding building at Dunwoody Hall (Publix shopping center) in northwest Dunwoody, not far from the Sandy Springs border. The food, drink, service, and ambiance all were good. When I learned I was having dinner here, it was the first time I heard of Novo Cucina. Turns out I had this place in my Yelp bookmarks as a restaurant "to try" and, admittedly, forgot about it. Novo opened in 2015. When a restaurant makes it 10 years, that says something. Congratulations, Novo. After posting about my visit on social media, "Atlanta Grubber" Joe Duffy commented: "Best sit-down restaurant in Dunwoody. Save room for the gelato." High praise from a legit local food critic whose opinion I value. Check out @atlantagrubber on Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/atlantagrubber/ Novo is part of the same restaurant group, U Restaurants, as longtime Inman Park restaurants Sotto Sotto (Italian) and Fritti (pizza). I learned this after the fact and wasn't surprised because both Sotto Sotto and Fritti are terrific. The "U" is for Riccardo Ullio, Italian immigrant, chef-owner, and Georgia Tech grad. During our visit on a Sunday night from 5:30pm to almost 9:30pm, I could tell this place was popular with what appeared to be lots of regulars. It was already quite busy when we arrived. Reservations are recommended (Resy). There's self-parking around the building. No valet. Our party of five sat outside. I really enjoyed the patio which was shaded with umbrellas, string lit, surrounded by green arborvitae trees, and had both heat lamps and fans. It was comfortable and pleasant. Inside, they had a gelato bar, regular bar, and a spacious dining room with several doors that could open to the outside, creating a somewhat "al fresco" atmosphere. Inside was louder and more bustling -- one reason I preferred sitting outside on this particular night. As for dress code, you can come dressed up or down. Here's what we had: Cocktail Artigianali (Artisanal Cocktails) * Spring Equinox ($15) - BROVO American Aperitivo, grapefruit cordial, sparkling rose * Martini made with Tito's Handmade Vodka, extra olives ($15) Antipasti e Fritti (Appetizers and Fried) * Pepata di Cozze ($18) - mussels, garlic, lemon, olive oil, black pepper, parsley * Arancini ($15) - Sicilian risotto croquettes, sausage ragu, marinara sauce Insalate (Salads) * Chef's Insalatona (x2, $18 each) - mixed field greens, fresh mozzarella, cotto ham, cacciatorini salame, egg, artichoke, cherry tomato, onions, balsamico, olive oil Pizze (Pizza) * Margherita Pizze ($17) - mozzarella, basil, Parmigiano Reggiano, San Marzano tomatoes, olive oil * Bianca Pizze ($17) - mozzarella, ricotta, provolone, fontina, smoked mozzarella; no tomato sauce Paste (Pasta) * Cappellacci con Ricotta, Prosciutto e Spinaci ($21) - ricotta, prosciutto, spinach ravioli, brown butter, sage, and aged balsamic * Tagliatelle ai Funghi (x2, $21 each) - wild mushrooms, truffle oil, porcini cream Dolci (Sweets) * Tiramisu ($9) - ladyfingers soaked in coffee and brandy, layered with whipped cream, flavored with cocoa * Cannoli alla Siciliana ($8) - handmade cannoli, ricotta, candied orange, chocolate, pistachio Gelato * Pistachio (scoop $6) The meal started off with complimentary bread service consisting of ciabatta and olive oil. In general, my wife and I thought all of the food and drink were good. Nothing blew us out of the water, but everything was consistently tasty and delicious. I could tell they have the dishes down pat here. The cocktails were well made and refreshing. Both of the appetizers, the Pepata di Cozze and Arancini, were yummy. The mussels were fresh and the broth was flavorful and addictive. Not too heavy either, which I appreciated. Novo's Arancini are extra savory because they're filled with sausage ragu. My wife and I split one of the Chef's Insalatona and we loved it. One serving is a large portion. I love salads and this one was unique because of the mozzarella, ham, salami, and artichoke. Yum. The pastas were wonderful and perfectly al dente. The Cappellacci con Ricotta, Prosciutto e Spinaci was creamy and mild while the Tagliatelle ai Funghi was rich and satisfying. Balsamic, truffle oil, and freshly-grated Parmesan were served at the table. I'd say these are among some of the better pastas you can get in the Atlanta area. The desserts were fine. Novo serves their Tiramisu in a glass. If you like tiramisu, I don't think you'll be disappointed. The Cannoli weren't the most flavorful, but not bad either. Two pieces come with one order. Our server was Jessica. She was fantastic and very nice. Towards the end of our meal, a manager came to check on us and asked how everything was.

So if you want some Italian, this will be a good place to go. If you're in the area. It's one of the only Italian spots that I can think of in this area so you can't miss it. It's It's in Dunwoody and it's free parking so you don't have to worry about finding a place to park and paying. It's one big parking lot because it's kind of in the parking lot of a shopping center. You come in and the ambass looks great. First thing you see when you walk in is the host stand and a gelato bar kind of situation. It's Italian so obviously they have gelato lol. Everything looks good and smells clean, even the bathrooms. As they should! The service and the way staff are super friendly, and they kept coming back to make sure everything was okay and I appreciate it that. When you go they have bread service, comp It's the type of bread that's hard crust on the outside but yet and still very tender on the inside. They give you all the dip the bread in so at least you get to have like an appetizer before the appetizer. Food was okay. I had to get some extra additions to it to get it more to my liking but it was okay. Calamari - the calamari itself was okay, pretty good. The sauce was a tomato marinara sauce but I feel like you could have used a little more extra kick or extra spice into it. So I ended up getting some red pepper flakes. I like my sauce with a kick. Maybe if the calamar had been seasoned a little bit better I would not have had to do that but it still had a pretty decent flavor. Spaghetti e pomodoro con palpette - This was your standard spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were pretty good. You can taste the meat flavors in them and they were basically super tender and fall apart. The spaghetti was cooked very well but the sauce ran into the same thing that I had with the marinara for the calamari. I had to get some red pepper flakes to spice it up a little bit. It needed a little bit of help. But it was pretty good though overall. I didn't actually have the ravioli but I heard that it was pretty good. It actually has like four different cheeses stuffed in there so it's plenty of flavor when it comes to cheesiness. I might actually go and try some more, give it another shot, I don't like bland food or anything like that, but at the same time I feel like it was good enough for me to give another chance. Didn't have any significant or severe issues with it so I will be going back.

This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants. It has amazing homemade pasta and gelato and their Ceaser salad is the best I have had. I love their pizzas and paninis too. It is definitely worth checking out in Dunwoody. I only like eating in the inside since it can get hot outside in the patio but it is cute.

They told us that we would have to show up and just wait to be seated... fine. No big deal, again we are a large group coming in HOT on the weekend... I get it. We call ahead again, closer to the time we were planning to arrive to double check. THIS TIME they said they could reserve us a space and that it wouldn't be a problem. We get there and everything is seemingly fine. The vibes are good and the waiters are taking orders diligently. We understand that this is a huge group (16 of us) and that we would have to be patient with them as they are with us. So everyone puts in there orders. First wave comes out... I noticed that all the food is cold. Not ideal but the food was good so whatever. Second wave comes out, again the food is cold and peoples orders are missing. Fine. We are a big group, it happens. 3rd wave comes and they are seemingly trying to land the plane with us, finalizing anything that may have been missed while also getting refills. One of my friends that was a part of that first wave was still waiting his burger that he ordered (he had informed them twice at this point). 45 mins later the waiter checks on us again... My friend still doesn't have his burger. Cool AGAIN this is a big group... It happens. My side of the table who got all their food are ready to play some games now. We go to the front counter and there is seemingly a good cop/bad cop routine going on. One host says we can rent a station the other says we can't unless all 16 of go to that station. I told him not everyone wants to play games so what if we just cash out now then the 4 of us that do can just play/sit at the station. "YOU CAN'T DO THAT ITS AGAINST THE POLICIES" O....kay... whatever don't take my money, I then tell him I'd like to cash out anyway. "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" I can't pay you now? "THE TAB CAN ONLY BE SPLIT 5 WAYS" Huh? So not only was this not brought to our attention beforehand but you want to be a jerk about it? There reason was because some people run out on the bill and things get missed. Meanwhile the entire table is sitting here with their cards out ready to pay you? Not to mention if something is missed thats on YOU as you are the person entering the stuff into the system. Mind you we still have folks that were missing food or order was taken only for it to be sitting under a heat lamp. After some back and forth we paid (which they REFUSED to give us an itemized receipt) only for a smug waiter to come out with the missing deserts with creepy smile to literally say to us "I hope you enjoy it..." Nope. Not eating that. Matter fact we will never eat here again. This has been a yearly tradition for some Dreamhack attendees and I can wholeheartedly say that I'll NEVER step foot in here again more will anyone I associate with. If I could give it a 0 I would.

As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the hostess, plus a very inviting bar behind the stand. Prior to coming, we needed to change our reservation and they were happily able to accommodate. It was everyone's first time here, so the server explained how their menu works and what are the popular dishes. We started with the seasonal Thai salad, Smokey cabbage and pork belly. Our server put in the incorrect order, instead of the pork belly, she put in the chive fries, but she happily comped this due to error. Out of all the apps we tried, my favorite was the salad and actually the chive fries. Salad was fresh with corn, tomatoes, snow peas and the dressing was nicely salty and a bit spicy. The chive fries are reminiscent of chive pancake but cut in long strips, shaped like fries, though I found the sauce it came with too sweet. For our main entree, we all shared the chicken satay (my personal favorite and that satay sauce was to die for), crab fried rice (flavorful but found the old bay seasoning a bit too overpowering), whole market fish was trout that night (loved this was topped with a fresh salad) and crying thaiger (I didn't eat the steak but the grilled okra and the sauces were delicious). All of the entrees came with jasmine rice, but there's an option to get sticky rice and garlic rice for extra fee. I thought this was a good meal and our server was great. We found service to be a bit slow, but they were pretty busy. It got better towards the end of the night as people were leaving. They also gave free dessert as someone in our party was celebrating their birthday.

We came here for brunch on a Sunday and had no issues getting a reservation the day of. That said…read morethe place was pretty full and there is a large patio area outside. We were seated inside right by where they plate the food so we got to see what some of the dishes looked like before ordering. We started with the cinnamon roll and it was huge! The equivalent to 3 huge individual cinnamon rolls, but stuck together to make a big one. It was really good too with a warm and soft middle and slightly crunchier outside rim. For my entree, I had the chicken chilaquiles. It was an incredible mixture with the egg on top and the spiciness level was perfect! The creme fraiche really up-leveled the dish. As for the service, decor, and ambiance, it was top notch. The ceilings are high and the interior is nicely furnished. The bar area has flowers over top and great for Instagram. Our server was knowledgable about the menu, kept our drinks full, and was patient with us. I'd love to come back for dinner as that menu looks great as well.

And they have a huge selection of whiskey. Looks like a nice place for dinner. Although we didn't eat actual dinner. I think some people ordered some food and enjoyed it. Service was prompt and friendly. I would go back and have dinner there if I was in the area. We had a large group and they had no problem squeezing us all in and not all of us eating, it was a little bit later after the dinner grow up
