We had a party of 2 for dinner at 8 pm on Friday, 5/22/26. The only reservations available online were for 9 pm or later, but we were able to snag a table for 8 pm by calling. Maybe there was a cancellation. It's really pretty inside and there's lovely seating outside too with trees that were beautifully lit. We were at a high top where it's not as pretty, so we'll just have to make reservations further ahead of time to be seated in the main dining room. We split 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 1 dessert. We finished all of it. Here's what we got: - Carciofi alla Giudea ($13): The fried artichoke hearts with the garlic aioli were so delicious. - Caprese con Burrata ($16): Good, we think it would've been even better with balsamic glaze. - Gnocchi con Pomodoro e Panna, add Chicken ($21 + $7 for chicken): The sauce was soo delicious. While we normally prefer our gnocchi crispy on the outside, this was so good. - Parmigiana di Melanzane ($27): Good! There was some peel left on the eggplant that was really hard and inedible, but besides that, nice flavor! The spaghetti was good too. We wished they offered chicken parm, but that wasn't on the menu. - Gelato ($6): We got one scoop of the Hazelnut Nutella gelato and true to its name, it was very heavy on the hazelnut flavor. Novo Cucina is super cute inside with a nice patio outside. Lots of parking. We went on a Tuesday night and it was packed. Our waiter was very attentive and our waters were constantly refilled. (I will note, we had to call to make a reservation because of the size of our group, and we had to call SO many times to get through to someone. A couple people dropped out day of, and we tried calling to let them know and couldn't get through.) I appreciate that they have several vegetarian items! I had a hard time choosing. I ordered the vegetarian lasagna, which was "deconstructed." It was really yummy and a good sized portion. I would've liked more veggies but that's personal preference. One of my friends is gluten free and said the gf pizza is amazing. The waiter was very knowledgeable about what had gluten in it. One is allergic to garlic and our waiter worked with the kitchen to create a dish for her (there were only a couple options on the menu they thought were safe). Others got the ravioli, risotto with chicken, and spaghetti and meatballs, and everyone enjoyed their dishes. For dessert, we got the gelato trio (the fudge brownie and coffee chocolate chip were SO good), and they put a candle in one of the scoops for the birthday girl. Two got the chocolate bread pudding which was interesting, and one got the tiramisu and enjoyed it. It was very loud inside, so it was hard to hear each other, and it was uncomfortably warm. My husband and I dined at Novo on a Friday night, and it was packed. It is in a plaza, so you don't have to worry about parking. I did have a reservation, and when we arrived, we were immediately seated. The restaurant itself is dim and very romantic. If you are dining outside, there are fairy lights, so you do not feel completely in the dark. We sat in the sun room area of the restaurant, and I loved the tiling of the floors. The windows of the sunroom were all open as well, and even though it was night, it just offered such a nice vibe to the night. The service at Novo is amazing too. Maddie was a great waitress, and if I came back, I would love to have her again. She was super helpful with the menu and was quick with any refills as well. She even offered a side of marinara for our leftover appetizers, and we were so grateful since the marinara is so delicious. The food at Novo is delicious and made in house daily. For appetizers, we ordered the calamari fritti and arancini. The calamari was okay, but my husband loved the marinara sauce that it came with. The star of the appetizers would have to be the arancini though, and for my husband, it was probably his favorite dish of the night. My husband ordered the lasagnette, and I got the tagliatelle ai funghi. The tagliatelle also comes with an option of having truffle oil drizzled on top of it, and I will HIGHLY recommend saying yes to it. The pasta is just incomplete without it, and the oil tied it all together and made it so delicious. For me, the tagliatelle is my favorite and will probably be the dish that makes me come back. My husband and I liked the lasagnette, but we both agreed that we probably wouldn't order it again and would try their risotto or maybe a pizza next time. We did order dessert - unfortunately I forgot to take pictures. My husband ordered the brown butter pecan gelato, and I got the banana pudding gelato. Maddie said they complimented each other, and she is really not wrong. On their own, both of them are delicious. I was definitely tempted to get a pint to have at home. The banana pudding gelato tastes exactly like banana pudding, and we were stunned on how exact it was. The brown butter pecan is so creamy and has such a good roast sweetness to it. Super picky about my Italian. Loved this place. I had the tagliatelle with mushrooms. It was amazing. Husband got the special chicken Parmesan was good not great. Caesar was average. Not great. Cibo e beve has a much better Caesar. The wine list was great. Also super picky about this and loved the choices. We did not try the gelato but oh boy it looked amazing. The bar was relatively small but would be a great place to sit. Next time I would get the same pasta. Skip the Caesar. And order the gelato. read more

I was in Georgia for a conference and stopped here for a bit to eat. I was not disappointed! the Tagliatelle with funghi was delicious and the funghi was plentiful- the sauce while rich was not overpowering, so that each part of the dish got its moment to shine. Having grown up near the Italian Market in Philadelphia, I can't pass up a good cannoli. The shell was crisp and the filling was not overly sweet. Novo Cucina gets a solid four stars out of me. If this restaurant was located in a smaller metro, I'd probably give it five. By Atlanta standards, it's a four. Not "OMG, I would love to go back," but "I would happily go back." This is an Italian restaurant located in a freestanding building at Dunwoody Hall (Publix shopping center) in northwest Dunwoody, not far from the Sandy Springs border. The food, drink, service, and ambiance all were good. When I learned I was having dinner here, it was the first time I heard of Novo Cucina. Turns out I had this place in my Yelp bookmarks as a restaurant "to try" and, admittedly, forgot about it. Novo opened in 2015. When a restaurant makes it 10 years, that says something. Congratulations, Novo. After posting about my visit on social media, "Atlanta Grubber" Joe Duffy commented: "Best sit-down restaurant in Dunwoody. Save room for the gelato." High praise from a legit local food critic whose opinion I value. I really enjoyed the patio which was shaded with umbrellas, string lit, surrounded by green arborvitae trees, and had both heat lamps and fans. It was comfortable and pleasant. Inside, they had a gelato bar, regular bar, and a spacious dining room with several doors that could open to the outside, creating a somewhat "al fresco" atmosphere. Inside was louder and more bustling -- one reason I preferred sitting outside on this particular night. As for dress code, you can come dressed up or down. The mussels were fresh and the broth was flavorful and addictive. Not too heavy either, which I appreciated. Novo's Arancini are extra savory because they're filled with sausage ragu. My wife and I split one of the Chef's Insalatona and we loved it. One serving is a large portion. I love salads and this one was unique because of the mozzarella, ham, salami, and artichoke. Yum. The pastas were wonderful and perfectly al dente. The Cappellacci con Ricotta, Prosciutto e Spinaci was creamy and mild while the Tagliatelle ai Funghi was rich and satisfying. Balsamic, truffle oil, and freshly-grated Parmesan were served at the table. I'd say these are among some of the better pastas you can get in the Atlanta area. The desserts were fine. Novo serves their Tiramisu in a glass. If you like tiramisu, I don't think you'll be disappointed. The Cannoli weren't the most flavorful, but not bad either. Two pieces come with one order. You come in and the ambass looks great. First thing you see when you walk in is the host stand and a gelato bar kind of situation. It's Italian so obviously they have gelato lol. Everything looks good and smells clean, even the bathrooms. As they should! The service and the way staff are super friendly, and they kept coming back to make sure everything was okay and I appreciate it that. When you go they have bread service, comp It's the type of bread that's hard crust on the outside but yet and still very tender on the inside. They give you all the dip the bread in so at least you get to have like an appetizer before the appetizer. Food was okay. I had to get some extra additions to it to get it more to my liking but it was okay. Calamari - the calamari itself was okay, pretty good. The sauce was a tomato marinara sauce but I feel like you could have used a little more extra kick or extra spice into it. So I ended up getting some red pepper flakes. I like my sauce with a kick. Maybe if the calamar had been seasoned a little bit better I would not have had to do that but it still had a pretty decent flavor. Spaghetti e pomodoro con palpette - This was your standard spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were pretty good. You can taste the meat flavors in them and they were basically super tender and fall apart. The spaghetti was cooked very well but the sauce ran into the same thing that I had with the marinara for the calamari. I had to get some red pepper flakes to spice it up a little bit. It needed a little bit of help. But it was pretty good though overall. I didn't actually have the ravioli but I heard that it was pretty good. It actually has like four different cheeses stuffed in there so it's plenty of flavor when it comes to cheesiness. I might actually go and try some more, give it another shot, I don't like bland food or anything like that, but at the same time I feel like it was good enough for me to give another chance. Phenomenal food. We had a casual lunch on the patio which is private and really lovely even though it's in a shopping center parking lot. Highly recommend the goat cheese salad, lasagna and gelato. After emailing the owners, one did apologize for my experience and offered to send me a gift card, but the night was already ruined and it was a special celebration. If you have a special event and put a deposit down from out of state to reserve the Chef's Table, then you should get the Chef's Table and not another random table. You should also have a server who is in a decent mood and who is willing to service the table well. Everything with this restaurant seemed inefficient. I was craving linguine with white clam sauce last night, so in discussing dinner date plans for the following evening with my boyfriend, I did a search for restaurants that would have it. Enter: Novo Cucina. I checked out the reviews on Yelp and booked our 5:15pm reservation in the sunroom. Novo is a trendy Italian restaurant with upbeat music and chic decor. Our server, Maddie, was great! She was very sweet and attentive, showing up to check on us at the perfect times. Service was exceptionally fast! It felt like mere minutes after placing our orders that my Sauvignon Blanc, our Caprese Con Burrata, and Calamari Fritti had arrived. My wine was juicy and delicious, and the perfect pair to everything I ate. Don't forget to ask for the Ciabatta! It's complimentary for the first basket ($3+ for extra). The Caprese Con Burrata was refreshing, and the Calamari Fritti was perfectly breaded, with a tasty marinara sauce for dipping. For my entrée, I got the Linguine alle Vongole. It tasted a bit different from the classic ones I typically have, but in essence, everything was there. The thinly sliced garlic, tender clams, and housemade linguine all joined together to make this a delicious dish. My boyfriend got the Salmone (salmon with black rice and baby carrots) which was cooked perfectly at level medium. The salmon was so juicy and flaky, and paired nicely with the rice and carrots. For dessert, we shared a Tiramisu. It was the perfect cap off for our evening. We will definitely be back to try more dishes! read more

I was inside the restaurant speaking to a server before the grace period was over and they did not honor my reservation. Ordered The Botanist, which is strangely not made with The Botanist Gin, but it's still tasty. Also ordered Arancini (5 good sized, crispy pieces with more than enough sauce), and the Lasagnette. This was a find by my husband, so we have been excited to try this place for weeks! It's located right by Publix in a shopping center. There's plenty of free parking, which is a plus. As you walk up to the restaurant, the lighting is beautiful outside. We walked up to the hostess station and we were seated almost immediately without reservations on a Saturday night. As you walk in the restaurant, you walk by a gelato bar, which I was later told by our server Maddie, is made in house! We started off with water and fresh bread and olive oil as we awaited our first appetizer and salad. We decided to try the Arancini and it was delicious. It was five rice balls filled with sausage and spices deep fried and served with a house marinara sauce. 10 outta 10! The Caesar salad was a Caesar salad-- nothing much to brag about, but it was good though! My husband decided to try the rigatoni (that was the dish we saw while we were waiting to be seated) and I had had my eye on the deconstructed lasagna. Can I just say that my lasagna was some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten in my life!? Perfectly seasoned, cheesy, decadent and delicious. I would order this dish 100 more times! My husband's rigatoni was delicious as well, but he later told me that if he could order again, he would try my lasagna We ended our meal with samples of gelato. This was my first time coming to Novo Cucina. Me and my wife came for our first time to celebrate a special occasion. The rigatoni had a nice bite to it, and the sausage ragu was very flavorful. However, my wife's dish, took the cake. I liked it more than the rigatoni one. It was sooooo flavorful. It's basically Ricotta, prosciutto and spinach ravioli tossed in brown butter, sage and aged balsamic. It was definitely my favorite dish out of the 3 we had collectively. Each bite was just as flavorful as the previous one. These are pretty big ravioli pieces as well, so you'll definitely be full after eating. The food was pretty good honestly, and I would definitely come back. The food is kind of right in the middle, when it comes to pricing. It wasn't too expensive, but it wasn't super cheap either. I think it's worth it, for the price you pay. The restaurant is shared with a Publix shopping center parking lot, so there is plenty of parking. The arancini was on the blander end. Interesting take on focaccia bread. The pecan crust goat cheese salad was amazing. Highly recommend! We ordered the pepperoni pizza and added hot pepper and oil oil. The pepperoni pizza was supposed to come with sweet Italian sausage but was not included on the pizza. Went here for brunch with a friend and it was so good! We got cocktails. Can't remember the name but i believe it had vodka and lavender in it I got the chicken Parmesan and subbed risotto instead of pomodoro for an up charge And it was such an elite combo I dream of the risotto and can't wait to go back Our server was great too read more

My partner and I visited to celebrate her birthday. We were blown away by the thought to every detail. The food was incredible, definitely the best plate of pasta I've ever had. They were very accommodating with the patio heaters and turned them down when we asked. Our waiter had a tough table but was able to turn it around for them, and he never slipped once with our service during the awkwardness at the other. His recommendations were thoughtful and you could tell he knew his info. They brought out a complimentary dessert for my partners bday and we also ordered another. The tiramisu and gelato were both excellent! They were incredibly kind, the space was beautiful, and the food was insane. 12/10 experience. read more

This was a special evening to celebrate a birthday. We started with salads and bread and had a gracious Italian waiter who took the time to chat with us about Italy,their dishes and the authentic specials. The ambiance in the sunroom is wonderful and relaxing with beautiful tiled floors and French doors open enough to feel as if you are outside. The salads were fresh and generous Next we opted for vegetable lasagna and the eggplant pasta special truly authentic and freshly homemade.-yum!! Since it was a birthday we treated ourselves to gelato and they brought us a Flight of 3- scrumptious and generous. We paired this with homemade Italian biscotti and coffee.
