To be quite honest, I don't think I'd stay here again when in Bozeman, depending on the circumstances. The hotel is nicely situated near Main Street and is an easy walk to many of the shoppes and restaurants in the area. Checking in was fairly easy and the person working the desk was extremely informative and friendly. The lobby was decorated nicely, with plenty of seating. It was strange that there were just stairs up to the front door, the accessible entrance was all the way around the building. We checked out other areas by the lobby. You can walk up to the balcony of the theatre and take a look at it from there. It was being decorated for Nutcracker brunch so it was super cute when we saw it. We visited the restaurant and both the bars. We also joined the social hour a couple of times. The social hour is great and I appreciated that they did this. We went up to the pool but didn't swim. It was nicely heated so you could be in it year-round. Our room was clean and smelled nice when we entered. The bed was comfortable and clean. We were on the 8th floor so there were no people sleeping above us so it was nice and quiet after the bar closed. For some of the flaws, I booked a mountain view and would not do that if staying here again. The train horn was super loud and went on all night. The shower leaked and the water landed on the huge metal plate over the drain. It was the loudest thing ever and we ended up having to put a towel in the shower to dampen the sound in order for us to sleep. Also, the fire alarm had a really erratic light that made no sense and sometimes lit the whole room up in an eerie green light. These flaws were fairly manageable. The worst thing (and the reason I might not stay in this hotel again) was late check out. They do it "first come, first serve" here, meaning you have to call around 7am to try to get a late check out, which is just given to you, no question about WHEN you need to check out. We decided to just hang out at the airport for the rest of our time because our late check out was just one hour. They also don't preemptively re-key your card, you have to wait until you can't get into your room anymore.

Ours was more of a suite than just a room with two, nice, comfortable queen beds, a sleeper sofa and another area that could easily have accommodated a sleeper up to a teen. Bathroom was quite large, plenty of light and an opening window. No tub but a GREAT shower!! All very clean. Typical motel fridge and a microwave present. Probably a 32", wall mounted television, small Keurig coffee maker, a table and two chairs. The hotel we stayed at prior to this one, a VERY nice hotel, had neither a table nor chairs and it cost more than twice what we paid here. Plenty of electric outlets, WIFI is SUPER fast and excellent, 5G, phone reception. Plenty of free parking. No need to go to one of the more expensive motels in town, this one will do very nicely and save you a few bucks for more Yellowstone National Park souvenirs.

I called the motel on the day of check in as we were running behind schedule. I was assured we were assigned a room, and would not get the last available room (sometimes that happens and the room ends up not being what was originally booked). I asked about extra blankets available at check in. Lisa, the hotelier, offered to have one put in our room before we arrived so we wouldn't have to worry about waiting for it once we checked in. Once we arrived, we were greeted as we entered the lobby. Currently, it is decorated in a Halloween theme, and very thoughtfully done. We were issued metal keys for our room....nice touch. We entered our room and weee greeted by soft classical music and a comfortable 70 degree room. The carpet is clean, laid on top of thick carpet padding...another nice touch and easy on bare feet. The bathroom is likely original to the building but was very clean. We didn't think much of the mattress until we realized our bodies didn't hurt when we woke up. We forgot our swim suits so weren't able to test the water, spa, sauna etc. They do sell swimwear in the lobby but we opted against it. The continental breakfast is worth taking advantage of, consisting of home made banana bread, which is quite tasty. Coffee, tea, milk, water (I am a water snob and I filled my travel thermos every morning and night straight from their ice machine), yogurt, oatmeal and a few other items were available for us to eat. And the infused water....Lisa makes it fresh daily and it is amazing! Don't let the age of the motel steer you away. While it was build in the late 1970's it is well kept and has a lot of charm. Lisa and her husband are wonderful people whose goal is comfort for their guests.

Last year during my visit, we were shopping at the Co-Op next door, and I said, I'm going to run over and peek at this pretty Motel next door. It surprises you. I made reservations for the next year, and got to spend a few nights here 2 weeks ago. The lobby is just lovely. Lisa served up a somewhat continental-style breakfast. It was just perfect, with everything you need to get your day started. I grabbed my breakfast, sipping my hot tea, reading the newspaper, chatted with some of the guests, and soaked in every minute of my morning. In the afternoon, Lisa lays out other snacks and always has a nice fruit bowl. The downstairs pool, hot tub and spa area are worthy of a Four Seasons. One afternoon, I walked to the downtown area to shop and explore. It was just a few blocks away, an easy walk. My bed was delightfully comfortable, and my room was clean and well-appointed. I felt safe throughout my entire stay here. I woke up, looking at the Majestic Mountains every morning. What a view. When you call, ask for Lisa (the owner's daughter). Her Dad/family has owned this establishment from the very first day it opened its doors. Thank you Lisa and all the staff at the Lewis & Clark. Everything was just wonderful. I will be back. I love supporting local businesses. This is a gem!

Vintagey and mid century modern I cannot get enough of it. Tiny details everywhere you look. Staying for only one night is tragic, and I might cancel our 5 star hotel anniversary celebration last day of vaca splurge stay next week when we fly home just to stay here again. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Price is a little bit high but I think that's everywhere these days right but so worth it. Little bit of street noise but honestly nothing to really mention but I didn't hear any neighbors, not sure if that is the usual or not but I was extremely satisfied and happy and hope when we return I have the same experience. Be warned the cafe attached makes the parking lot completely full but it clears out after breakfast at least it did on a Saturday so not sure how that works for guests if they can't find parking! I stayed here to catch a 6am flight from Bozeman airport and the location is very convenient, less than 5 minutes away. They also offer free shuttle to the airport which made everything so easy. I took the shuttle at 4:30am and it was smooth, stress free ride that got me to the airport on time. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Before booking, I confirmed this location was pet-friendly, as many Hyatt Place hotels are. After arriving, I was surprised to learn there was a $100 pet fee. While the fee is listed on the website, it only appears after scrolling down, making it easy to miss during the booking process. Typically I find these to be included as you book. I completely understand charging a pet fee, but $100 for a one-night stay is excessive. What's even more confusing is that the fee is the same whether you stay one night or up to six. It seems unreasonable that a guest staying only a few hours would pay the same as someone staying several days. This unexpected charge left me very disappointed and significantly impacted what was otherwise a positive experience.
