Great location. Friendly hosts. Smelled of marijuana. It's underground-no outdoor windows. Humid(needs ventilation)

Looks like booking.com and TripAdvisor showed terrible reviews recently due to horrendous…read moreoverbooking. I luckily came across this place after the glitch and it was a lifesaver since everything in Gardiner was either booked solid or available for at least 250/night. For just $40 later and many many phone calls and online searching, I might not really be in Gardiner (this place is technically on the northerb edge 10 miles from downtown Gardiner) but I do have somewhere to sleep.

So this last summer when the Munchkin and I went to Yellowstone, we stayed here for a couple of…read morenights. It was pretty nice for a hostel... some of the other patrons though... ughhhh I could do without... None the less, we had our own locking room and that let us keep up with our adventures while our stuff remained locked away in a clean place. The rooms didnt have TV (yay) but they did have a game room for whomsoever wanted (mainly a bunch of kids) to play video games, fooseball, ping pong, etc. They also had some board games for folks to enjoy if they were so inclined. Pro Tip: Cook here if you want, they just ask that you clean up after yourself. This could be a great way to save some $$$ if you need to. The bathrooms were shared as is usually how hostels work. None the less they had been remodeled and were pretty clean compared to what I had been anticipating. They also had multiple locking bathrooms (with the showers included) for your usage in each restroom area. They also had a common restroom sink outside of the locking bathrooms for those that just wanted to do things like brush their teeth or lo and behold, to wash their hands haha Pro Tip: They have free breakfast errr toast and coffee here in the mornings. This was a decent place to stay and rack out for a few near Yellowstone and it was also much cheaper than the regular hotels. They have parking on a gravel lot. Its easy to spot from the highway, as you have an archway to pass through that was lined with kayaks I believe. It was pretty distinctive. They also have WiFi but you have to be in the main building to use it as they have a very limited range. I will also warn you that cell phone data and usage in the area is somewhat spotty, just as it is in the park. So if you want to save a few bucks on your trek to Yellowstone, this is a nice way to easily do that

So this was a recommendation from a friend, who highlighted that they have recently done…read morerenovations and that they worked really hard to keep it clean and enjoyable. We went and we had a great time. The pools were warm, and there was plenty of space despite the fact there was a lot of people in there. There are a lot of kids present so if you're looking for an adult environment, this is probably not the one for you. But it was a good hot spring at an unbelievable price. We got a day pass two of us with three towels for $35. Which I'm not even sure in our hometown we could get into a pool with both of us for that. Wheelchair access: there is a ramp that goes right through the the poolside grill and snakes down and around to the pool. the biggest barriers to access we found were people leaving their stuff in the way. But that is everywhere. The facility is actually remarkably wheelchair accessible. There is no wheelchair lift into the pools so you will have to be able to either transfer to The deck and into the water or go down the stairs. The stairs do have handrails, although they end before the last step, and enter into very shallow water (less than 2 feet deep). We would love to come back and stay the night.

They have both a restaurant and a bar on-site, and I loved that you could order drinks from a little outdoor window right by the springs -- super convenient and fun. The food was really good, the springs were hot and relaxing, and they also have changing rooms which made everything easy and comfortable. One thing to note is they are very serious about checking IDs for alcohol and monitoring underage drinking, which I honestly respected, so definitely don't forget your ID. Overall, we had a beautiful experience and would absolutely come back!

Granted, the pickings were mighty slim as we pulled into town after a long day of traveling, but…read more$190 a night for what is essentially a hostel? Nah. *Sketchy check in process. I had to call the front desk, FROM THE FRONT DESK, to find someone to check us in. And when the guy arrived, it was from outside with two police officers. * No keys. You have to download a stupid app to get in and out of your room and to even get into the property. Here we were standing on a street corner fumbling with our phones and waiting for an app to load? Not safe and not cool. * Shared bathrooms with unlabeled liquid soap dispensers. Is it shampoo? Is it body wash? Is it conditioner? Who knows? * App based TV's with no local channels. Want to watch the local news? Nope, but here's "Three's Company" on Crackle for your viewing pleasure. * Finally, and this is super picky but I'm on a roll, but the pillows are so firm and large that my head felt like it was at a 90 degree angle to my body all night. Nope.

I flew up to Belgrade / Bozeman from Austin, Texas, to visit my 25-year-old son for four days. I…read moretraveled during Montana's busy season (July), and discovered this little gem that was perfect for me. The Outpost is a euro-style hotel with 14 small, well-kept rooms and 7 private but shared bathrooms. (In other words, this is not a hostel: you get a private room and the use of a locking bathroom to yourself, but other guests will use that bathroom throughout the day.) I have stayed at similar hotels in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Reykjavik, and Rio de Janeiro. The rooms are small but extremely clean. I did not see any indication that the hotel or bathrooms are ADA accessible, but that was not an issue for me. Management is only on hand 6-8 hours a day but will answer their cell phones at any hour. The hotel has two shared living areas and a shared kitchen. The fridge has a designated shelf for each room---you don't have to worry about your food getting mixed up or "borrowed." The Outpost website mentions a "light breakfast. " All I found was bread, butter, jam, and a toaster . . . keurig coffee and tea are available all day. There are two breakfast and brunch cafés around the corner and a donut shop down the street. The hotel is within one block of four lunch and dinner restaurants and pubs, and the grocery is less than a mile away. The BZN airport is just five minutes away; Bozeman itself is a 10-15 minute drive. There's a "dispensary" next door. There are train tracks nearby, and this historic building is on Main Street, so if noise is a concern for you, this might not be the best fit. Others have complained about the noise INSIDE the hotel and about the room temperatures. I did not find either to be a problem: the guests are quieter than at most big-name hotels, and the hotel has central heat and air conditioning. The Outpost is a great little option AS LONG AS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SIGNING UP FOR, so make sure to check the website. Call and let the management know if you have any specific needs. They were happy to accommodate all of mine. All in all, I was very pleased and will stay again next time I visit.

There is just a big need for the hotel to be updated especially compared to the area and the hotels that are around it. It is a big hotel, so it offers a lot of rooms, which is nice. But, because it is so big it is just halls and halls of corridors which echo so badly that you can hear your neighbors laughing three doors down. I literally woke up several times in the past two nights to people laughing, crying, and running down the hallway. And this is not because I am a light sleeper as my coworkers have experienced the same, it is because of the hotel make up. One shinning light in all this darkness is the kindness of the staff. I was able to get checked in easily and they offer a variety be it slow breakfast service. Definitely if you are in a hurry this is NOT the place to get your breakfast! Give them 30 minutes or more for your food. I definitely would not pick this Holiday Inn to stay at when I return to Bozeman. There are so many better places! Look elsewhere!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was serious…read more After using the hotel pool on 2/10/26, I experienced severe eye burning and temporary vision impairment for approximately 8 hours and through the night. The pool water also bleached a brand-new swimsuit during a single use--something that has never happened to me in properly maintained pools. The hotel's response was unacceptable. Two emails went unanswered. When I called, the head housekeeper, Lydia, hung up on me, told me nothing could be done unless I "called 911," and refused to provide manager contact information. The hotel also refused to cooperate with Booking.com regarding a refund. I strongly caution guests to use the pool with care, especially children. If this affected an adult this severely, the safety risk is concerning. This was a failure to address a legitimate health and safety issue, and I cannot recommend staying here.
