Attended the new 2024 TreasureFest this past weekend, a monthly entertainment event and marketplace taking place on Treasure Island. There was a ton of traffic driving in, but a lot of workers directing traffic in the right direction, and they didn't seem to have a shortage of free parking... though there was a lack of signage along the 20 minute walk from the parking lot to event. It doesn't help that cell phone signal is spotty on the island. There was also a lack of signage about restrooms, so a giant line formed at the porta potties near the main entrance, later to find that further down the row of vendors, there were more porta potty areas in both directions, with shorter lines. There was a wide variety of merchandise tents lined up along the water (facing the east bay, not SF like where this event was located in the past), two long rows with a pathway in between for attendees to walk through. But the space between these rows of shops was a bit narrow, especially for the early afternoon crowd, with dogs, baby strollers, and slow walkers adding to the traffic jams, so that was a bit annoying. Flea market type vendors were grouped on one side, and the other side had more crafts and modern vendors (like an art and maker faire). Lots to see and explore, such as customizable hats, adorable stickers with clever quotes and sayings integrated into the artwork, and t-shirts with cute animal designs (many I'm familiar with, but some new ones too). Entertainment included a magician and live music, as well as a hot wheels track for the kiddos. In addition, there were plenty of photo ops, free samples of dried fruit, jerky, and sweet treats, and several great finds. We got a bargain on some really cute overalls, as well as $40 worth of pu-er dragon tea. There were about 15-20 food trucks/stands in the food court area, it was like a separate mini night market/food festival, with the long lines we all know and hate. There was a small stage in the middle, made out of a shipping container, really cute, with a live band playing awesome tunes, but the sound system was not so great, the speakers poorly placed and of cheap quality. Food options included filipino street food, oyster bar, corn in a cup, Respectable Bird, Cousins Maine Lobster, musubi, peruvian food, bulgarian food, Get In My Belly, Chinita Baker, Holey Donuts, Wood-fired Pizza, meat skewers, bbq, and Humphry Slocombe ice cream. Multiple beverage/bar stands could be found throughout the festival, not just in the food court area. There was a decent amount of seating, but not nearly enough for the crowds on a Sunday afternoon... there was also a bit of seating along the water, with a beautiful view. We snagged a couple seats at one of the communal tables, and enjoyed some delicious treats from Kuker bulgarian food truck. I highly recommend this. Not only was the line shorter than most other food stands, but the food was amazing. We tried the beef and pork dish, marinated chicken dish, and spinach banitsa appetizer... yummy!!

What an experience, here at Treasure Fest. This took place over the weekend, at Treasure Island. General admission was $20, but thanks to the YELP Elite ticket giveaways, my entry was free. The entire festival has what you need: live music, over 40+ vendors and taco trucks, and an entire free market, which local businesses and services offered. This includes local, organic food, stickers, clothes, foreign items and miscellaneous Parking free, and restrooms available throughout the event. It was not packed at all, and this was surely because of Easter weekend. I got myself a natural car diffuser, kettle popcorn and tried out the food there. I had to go with the Jamaican food truck, with their Jerk Chicken Plate. Also ate some ice cream, and some alcohol, in Margarita Value was on the more expensive side, with your usual overcharge on drinks and food. The deals were the best in the market, with clothes and items. Service was a vibe: amazing, and the environment was perfect for a day out I'll also highlight how many dogs were in attendance

A lot of merchants had tap pay, digital pay, & accepted cash. Signal was spotty so cash is king!

Opening day was chaotic. I'm sorry but I had to open with that. Treasure island should take only 15min max from Oakland but this event was extremely popular and it took us 2 hrs. I'm used to traffic into SF but 2 hrs for treasure island?! Insane. A lot of the main streets were blocked due to construction and vendor parking so we opted to park way back on 13th. The walk was another 10 min. I'm always prepared with kids so I took a wagon with chairs, wipes (sanitary and chlorine), sunscreen and water. Walking to the venue was a little bit of a struggle because the sidewalks are uneven and broken. Using the street to walk was a struggle because of patrons looking for parking. Venue: when you get there, there are 2 lanes. One for purchasing tickets and prepaid tickets but there's no signage of that so someone had to walk up and down to tell us. Entrance was easy. Restrooms are portable toilets and if you're a germaphobe or hate tight spaces, then avoid it at all costs. I didn't see any convenience stores so keep that in mind if you want to "leave to find a bathroom." Please also keep in mind that there are no tall buildings around the area and the sun faces opposite to the palm trees so shade is limited. Wear a hat and glasses or take an umbrella because you will get sunburnt. Merchants: loved all the merchants. They had small business's that had cool things like DIY charm bracelets , collectors items and vintage clothing. Pro tip: signal was spotty for digital payment methods so have cash on hand for those experiencing problems. There were 2 atms here too! Food: OK here's where it gets overwhelming. The food trucks are situated in between the merchants, in an unpaved lot. It's not stroller friendly. The lines for food were about 40-60min but wait time for food was less than 15. Again, there's no shade in this area. There's bands playing in the middle and seating inside the lot or across into the merchant alley. We chose to eat under the palm trees. Food was OK but most meals were upwards of $20+ and with a family of 4, it ate into our budget. I'm unsure if outside food is OK but that's a better option than having to wait in the blazing sun. Pro tip: coffee and pastry merchants had shorter wait times and plenty of non-caffeinated drinks, napkins, utensils. We left my home at 11 and entered the venue at 1:20ish. By 3:30 we were tired and ready to go. I'll definitely go back but not with the kiddos. They had a small space for kids to play at by the palm trees but there was just too many people everywhere and the heat was excruciating. I would say get there earlier for parking but that's also when the sun is the hottest so there is no real "best time" to go but maybe on a foggy day?

A beautiful venue for the festival. Took the ferry from S.F. Plan ahead to make sure you get a ferry back (we ended up taking the bus since we missed the ferry we wanted). Buy tickets for the festival online ahead of time ($15-$20). Many food truck vendors. The shopping booths tend to be more vintage. Looks like there is plenty of parking on the island for those that drive. My fav booth with RG Succulents.

I've heard about Treasure Fest but have been wanting to check it out. I was fortunate to win a pair of tickets from the Yelp East Bay Giveaway: Treasure Fest March. We got there about 12:30 on Sunday and I guess it must have been peak of arrival. We followed a line of cars for about 15 minutes as the workers directed us to the street where there was available parking. Once we parked, we walked for about two blocks to the 8th Street entrance with a line for ticket holders and non-ticketholders. The general admission tickets are $20. Entering from 8th St., we were in the center of the Fest. We decided to proceed to the left and then head back the other direction. The Fest consists of over 40 vendors selling crafts, artwork, and used/vintage/antique clothing and wares, food items and plants. There was an open section with about 20 food trucks with tables for patrons to enjoy their food. I bought some dried fruit from Baba Bazaar, jerky from btb and air plants from R G Succulents. I'm glad I finally got to experience Treasure Fest thanks to Yelp East Bay. Enjoy the Fest and the beautiful views of the Bay, the East Bay and the eastern span of the Bay Bridge.

Traveled from Reno and visited Treasurefest on Sunday, July 28th, and we couldn't believe how BEAUTIFUL this venue is!. It was SO easy to get to this weekend- traffic was reasonable and the weather couldn't have been better. Parking was super easy and all the vendors ( and fellow visitors!) were all so friendly. If you want to spend what is easily a magical afternoon, make sure to check this Treasurefest out before the season ends. I believe it is always held the last weekend of every month Spring through Autumn. We WILL return!

What a great time! Like a giant farmers market of art and food. We went on a Saturday and the weather was beautiful! The bar service was quick and the margaritas were actually so much better than I expected them to be! Food trucks were awesome, we tried about 3 before we got so full we couldn't go on. There was a large selection of different types of food and drinks. The art was so fun to see and all the different Bay Area businesses. It's great to see the community come together for something like this after recent years of isolation. We had a great time, and we appreciate the low price of the early bird tickets. Thanks Treasure Fest!

First time bring at Treasure island:) I won 2 general tickets so I brought my husband and we bought a child ticket for our 5 year old :). We told friends about it so another school friend joined us and our daughter had an absolute blast. Very child and pet friendly. They had a kids corner which was a lot of fun. We explored the treasure fest among different artists and vendors there and enjoyed food and drinks- those bloody Mary's were on point!

Oh how I missed Treasure Fest!! Came here on opening day for 2024 (Feb 24,2024). I highly recommend coming early to beat the rush of traffic getting in and finding good parking. Since it has been some time since they last had TreasureFest on Treasure Island/in general, we wanted to come early since we weren't sure what parking would be like. We were able to get good parking just a short walking distance away. Just be aware that if you plan to stay until they close and depending on where you park, it will take you a while to get out of the island since there is only really one way in and one way out. There are different locations to enter the event. My S/O and I got in as soon as they opened by an associate just scanning our tickets. My sister in law entered in at a different area and was told to wait since the TeasureFest folks were waiting for wristbands to give to people who entered, so they got wristbands but my S/O and I didn't, which wasn't a big deal since we weren't planning on leaving the establishment and coming back in. I believe the venue will be improving this system to be more seamless. Furthermore, there were certain areas with porta-potties that were clean, at least when I used it, so no issues there. Again, I know this is something they will also be improving on by adding more sections with restrooms. There was also a big area where they had tables and food trucks! I didn't get any food while i was there but it all looked great and spacious. Again, this is something they mentioned they will also improve of, with adding more vendors, more space, and tables. Other than that, the shopping and layout of the event was amazing!!! I love how they have thrift and vintage in one area, boutiques and specialty items in another section, and food in the other. I highly recommend bringing water and a cart of some sort. i brought my wagon to use when I purchased items and it was such a lifesaver instead of having to carry all my items. Lastly, this is a dog-friendly event so if you have a pup, they are allowed. I appreciate that they listen to feedback and are making actionable strides to make it a better experience for everyone. I love TreasureFest so definitely will be coming back.

What an awesome time! I won a giveaway for two free tickets to TreasureFest and I brought my partner along to share the fun. There's free parking that can be a little bit difficult to wait for but luckily there are parking and traffic attendants all over making sure that everyone gets a spot! We waited around 15-20 minutes waiting for parking and we were a little early so make sure to plan for that! There is a vast selection of goods to be bought and food to be eaten, ranging from Asian-inspired scents and candles to artisanal pet treats! My partner and I picked up a few t-shirts, a scarf, salmon cat treats, and a half-dozen egg tarts to take home. It was awesome! We also stopped by the food area to check out the diverse group of food truck/vendor options ranging from Filipino street food to Bulgarian comfort dishes to flavorful Mexican taqueria eats. I chose to order salbutes with cochinita pibil from Cochinita SF while my partner ordered chicken yakitori from Yakitori Yado. Both of our food options were great! I'd honestly go back just for the cochinita pibil (it was tasty!). It was also awesome to be able to just get some food and sit down to watch live music. Can't wait to go to the next one :) I loved our experience and the selection of options we had as well.

Great place (with an unbeatable view!) to escape the 3-digit summer heat just on the other side of the Caldecott. There is a large selection of food trucks to feed every appetite...and leashed dogs (I even saw a leashed Duck!) are welcome. Make some time to hang out here and you won't regret it, folks.

Our first time attending this function. I thought there was a good Mix of antique and new crafts. Ample food and drinks with long lines but that's to be expected. It was spread out and COVID policies in place. Parking was plentiful. There was enough handicapped. There were Lots of dogs being walked around. Maybe a few pooch stations would be helpful. I definitely purchased items and would return without hesitation.

Long lines, ATMs are down and I'm starving...

It was a great day to go and if I lived in SF, I would definitely Uber/Lyft over instead of driving. Parking is challenging because the people with the vests only can direct to far and you're on your own to look for a spot or get creative. Overall, it's a fun event, mixed with old, new and creative. Unfortunately, food lines were long and we got impatient and ordered from the Pork Exchange, they ran out of pulled pork and were running out of things as we ordered. Ended up with the pork belly slider, sloppy Joe's and 2 Thai Iced Tea - after $41, the teas were the best part. Both sliders were dry (how can a sloppy Joe be dry) and the brioche bread were not soft. The pork belly was barely grilled, no flavor and the Japanese mayo was sparse, they should have offered condiments, aside from the Sriracha. Because we were next to the skewer place, we reeked of bbq and rushed home to taste. Bought things like CBD cream, honey, dried sage and some pies one of the pie places and they weren't great, felt like the folks in front of me lied - the best ones were the lemon and strawberry and plain lemon. It's like a lemon bar and the one with the strawberry, only had the one little strawberry on the top. The Walnut and Pecan pies were okay, just nothing special that would entice me to by from them again. I think the crust was the main issue, either it was too thin or too fragile. Having 2 ATM machines being down didn't help because the Square payments were not connecting on most vendors. If you go, please get your ticket in advance, it's cheaper and the line is a little shorter - what was annoying were people passing the lines loudly voicing their irritation with the lines when they could have gotten there sooner. We did notice that there were 2 other entrances, maybe there should have been signs to help disburse the crowds. Oh, parking was free for us anyway but it's advertised free for those who buy the tickets or passes. Last thought, the alcohol areas were swamped, I don't know that I would buy a pass if you have to wait in the long lines.

I checked my phone, and said, "Hey, it's this weekend!" Next thing you know, my date is wearing a leather collar. He joked, "Are you going to write about this on Yelp?" And I said, "Yes, actually, I am." For anyone who does not know, Folsom Street Fair is the world's largest annual outdoor BDSM fair. Five city blocks are closed off and filled with merchants selling every leather accessory one could possibly imagine. Numerous contraptions are set up in the streets to demonstrate the how-to's of spanking, bondage, suspension, etc. Drinking and smoking are allowed within the fair grounds, and clothing is entirely optional. (Smoking being allowed everywhere, rather than in designated areas only, was my main reason for rating this event 4 stars instead of 5.) We originally arrived at opening, excited to see absolutely everything, and afraid that we would not have time to see it all. We had to wear masks to get in, but once we showed our vaccination cards and paid the suggested donation, it was a free for all. We were directed to where we could check our clothing, should we decide to go without. After walking around the grounds a few times without seeing much, we realized we were too early. We ordered a couple of White Claws from a booth in the fair for $8 each. We considered hanging out in one of the numerous bars which were open on the edges of the fair until more people showed up, but we were hungry, and none of the food looked appealing to us. We decided to leave to go have lunch at the Cheesecake Factory, and come back afterwards. When we came back, it was lit. At one point, we had worried that no one would show up because of the pandemic, but that worry turned out to be completely unfounded. This time around, we had to wait in line for five to ten minutes before getting back in. Multiple food trucks had shown up, but of course now we were full. As I mentioned, clothing was optional, and most people opted to wear none, or very little. I wish I could write about all of the things we saw, but most of them are not appropriate for a Yelp review. I would note that the photos on Yelp are extremely mild compared to what I saw in real life. Let's just say that I saw things in person that I had never even seen on the internet prior to attending this event. This was really and truly a day that I will not, and can not, ever forget. Again, I have pics and videos, but most of them are simply not appropriate for Yelp. For those who are curious, you'll have to turn to Google for a more complete idea of what you might see at the fair.

We had lunch at North India Restaurant, and our curry dishes were tasty and filling. We also picked up some apparel from one of the merchandise vendors selling shirts and sweaters with awesome designs (Engraft). One of my favorite parts of the event was checking out Art Alley, which had many mesmerizing artworks on display. Note that seating is pretty much nonexistent which makes sense since they encourage dancing, but just know that eating may be tough if you need two hands unless you sit on the curb. Though many of the DJs were great, nonstop electronic music at an extraordinarily high volume for hours is not really my scene. I came for the unique experience, the awesome art, decor, and costumes, and carefree crowd of people, and that's exactly what I got. I don't think the value's that great based on $40 per ticket, but we still had a fun time.

But what did I find? My mecca! I love burner fashion, I'm a spoonie and unfortunately don't have the health to go to Burning Man, but I love me some sequins, fur, pastels, rainbow colors, unicorn horns, and captains hats. How Weird was literally what I always wish Pride was, and it was here the whole time! I loved the vending at at How Weird and wished I'd been in a more party mood so I could've gotten more out of it, but my first visit definitely convinced me to go next year, or to the version that may be coming in Santa Cruz at the end of the year. 5 stars the whole way.

Big turnout, which felt refreshing even this long after the start of COVID. Good live bands, good selection of food (Gets more reasonable as you go West), and I'm sure the businesses loved the lively volume of foot traffic. The only trick was finding parking... this was the worst it's been for anything I've tried to do in years! But it wasn't hard once I got to MLK in the park.

I elected to come to the Night Market fundraiser on Friday night(8/17/12) at the Alemany Farmers…read moreMarket instead of the Saturday daytime event. Although they ask $25(plus ticket fees) for attendees to attend the Night Market, I was generally happy to donate to La Cocina just for the convenience of not waiting in super big lines on Saturday. I got there a little bit before 6pm, the event's official start time. I had originally treked over to 25th and Fulsom to find a booth where I can redeem my voucher for a passport. Upon getting there, a La Cocina worker told me that the booth was located at the site....uggghhh. Note to self: go straight to the event for future reference. I arrived at the Alemany Farmers Market with parking pass in hand(bought online for around $9) thinking I was early...ummmm nope. The place was already packed full of people! The people who took the shuttles already arrived and they already had a lengthy head start! The food options were aplenty, lots and lots of businesses were there offering everything from sandwiches, soups, tacos, and other tasty treats. My favorite was the Boss Hog provided by the Bone & Gristle Boys and 4505 Meats. This sandwich initially looked like a huge McGriddle but it was way better than that! Between two griddled English Muffins, nestled a serving of corn meal crusted deep-fried pork and slow roasted chili rubbed pork with a jalapeno ranch dressing. Add vermont cheddar, market greens, smoked red onions, and chicharrones for crunch, and it was AMAZING! It literally was a mess to eat with plenty of stuff falling out and juice getting on your hand, but I'll gladly wipe my hands clean as long as I can have another! Other food booths that I tried included the Jim 'N' Nicks whole hog pork with adobo sauce, The Whole Beast's merengez lamb sausage on a bun with peppers as well as their kefta lamb meatballs on a stick with yogurt dipping sauce, Huarache Loco's lamb taco and lamb soup both of which packed a wallop in spicy punch, and lastly, a serving of Locandoa Osteria's grilled short ribs. Hot and spicy soup does wonders for warming up in the chilly conditions! I can't forget about the alcohol...Whole Foods was there with eight selections of beers ranging from IPA and pale ales to cider too. Ryed from the Road were also there doing cocktails like old-fashions too. Note to future attendees: Wristbands are needed to purchase alcohol although this fact may not be conveyed to you when you arrive. I didn't learn of this until I got to the front of the beer line. Also, alcoholic drinks require you to exchange for tokens as well. Each token is $4(1 token for beer, 2 tokens for mixed drinks). Wristbands and token exchange were located near the entrance of the event. Overall, it was a fun event that had a good turnout and lots of communal seating and many portable heaters for warmth. It was super windy and cold on the night we went so bring your hat, scarves, and jackets when attending. I'll likely come back again for the good food and drinks and to support La Cocina and their charitable endeavors. One thing that I absolutely wish I had tried: Endless Summer's Bacon Maple Kettlecorn!

Beerfest was awesome!!!!!…read more $60 is a bit pricey. But tons of reasons making it worthwhile. 1. ~200 breweries. (Let's do the math. If you intend to try every one of them, given 3 hours, that's one brewery per minute!) 2. Unlimited noshings! Noshings = snack foods. Which turned out better than expected since there were some bomb foods! (stuff i ate: chili, corn dogs, popcorn, pretzels, pasta, calamari, hot wings, pizza, salad, bread w/pate. Omg...I'm such a pig.) 3. Crowd roars. Where everyone cheers and lifts their mugs up every couple minutes throughout the whole night. 4. Freebies. I don't know how half of the stuff ended up in my purse, or so I will claim. *mental note: bigger purse next year =P 5. No lines. Never had to wait long for anything. Well except for the bathrooms. The guys line was actually longer than the girls! haha. 6. Well stocked booths. Brews were still flowing towards the end of the night. Food...well good supply for the most of the night... ...except Pizza Orgasmica who lasted til the very end, but not without a riot occurring. They had ran out of pizzas before 9pm, and had a sign saying more will come at 9:45pm. Around 9:35pm, a crowd gathered at the booth, fist pumping, bottle-beating, and chanting "We want pizza! *dun dun dun dun dun* We want pizza! *dun dun dun dun dun*" Paper plates were thrown around as frisbees. Some guy would randomly yell out "I looove pizza!!!!" People cheered as the pizzas arrived. And the pushing and mobbing began. Some tried to get the pizzas themselves and the workers had to fend them off. I'm not sure how many pizzas there were exactly, 15-20? But they were all gone in less than 5 minutes. I love SF's Oktoberfest but Beerfest might be, gasp, even better! Reasons why Beerfest Beats Oktoberfest: - Once you buy the ticket, beer samples from 300 breweries are free!!! - Food is also free!!! - Proceeds go to charity! (the Telegraph Hill Preschool - this preschool must have a lot of money now because I'm guessing 5000 guests at $60 per ticket!) - The beer variety is fabulous and you are bound to discover so many new beers that you'll LOVE! Why settle on one or two types of beer when you can enjoy 500?! - You don't have to coordinate with your friends to choose the "morning shift" or the "afternoon shift" like Oktoberfest Ways Beerfest could be improved: - I missed important beer-drinking time by waiting in the bathroom line for 20 plus minutes; please put some porto-potties outside like Oktoberfest! - Add a costume element :) - Raise the volume of the music a bit and possibly add a dance floor - More food options! - More swag Can I buy my ticket for 2011 now please?!

It took place at China Basin Park this past weekend and featured live music, activities such as caricature portraits, several merchandise vendors, multiple bar tents, and plenty of good eats... though lots of menu items were sold out around 5pm (three hours before closing time on Saturday), and I'm not sure if it's perhaps different earlier in the day. Diverse food offerings included Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Indonesian, Nepali, and Jamaican bites, a variety of Latin American cuisine (Guatemalan, Salvadorian, Venezuelan, Mexican, etc.), along with French and Taiwanese pastries. Dessert booths were selling cookies and other sweet treats in unique flavors, too. I enjoyed a crispy beef empanada from Camucha's Kitchen and a yummy skirt steak arepa from Pacifico's food stand. Noise Pop's live entertainment schedule was equally and possibly even more exciting than the food lineup. Hip-hop, jazz, rnb, latin fusion, garage rock, and more, presented by the bands on stage. I particularly enjoyed the sounds of Orchestra Gold (Afro-psych) in the afternoon. There was not much light in the grassy meadow after dark, but the stage was definitely lit, and so was Oracle Park stadium across the way which kept the area illuminated to some extent. To me, it felt like the cost of admission was expensive for the food selection available, especially with vendors running out of items halfway through the event and the price of menu options being sky high compared to the portions given. But the food I did end up getting was tasty. And the waterfront views were gorgeous, especially at sunset, creating an ideal setting to go along with lovely weather in SF (a somewhat warm evening in November). I appreciated my time here.

I would have liked to see a wider variety of vendors, there were mostly Hispanic vendors. I gladly tried as many as I could. My main concern was the lack of enforcement of people just walking in without paying. I saw plenty of people just coming in from the trail along the coast. I wasn't the only one who noticed this happening. I don't mind paying for a event. But either everyone pays or nobody has to pay. If you looked carefully most people in the food lines didn't have a stamp. I may not attend next year unless this issue is addressed

For the festival, they close up 5-6 blocks on Fillmore. The streets are lined with different vendors. A lot of the same repeat ones we've seen at the other street festivals we've been to this year, but still fun nonetheless. We picked up some new spices from a vendor from Tracy, which we are excited to cook with. The food selection was a lot more diverse, which was great. We got hibachi soul food, delicious wings, and of course the garlic crab fries. All the food was priced normally for fairs, so most things were around $20. What's also cool is that a lot of the bars along Fillmore participated by offering drinks specials. Harry's was a good time, with delicious espresso martinis and jell-o shots! They had a couple of live music stages, with a bunch of jazz bands which was cool and unique. I think the one thing that could make it better is to have more of a variety of alcohol options and there was a lot of empty space which could've been filled with more vendors. Other than that, still a great time, especially with the beautiful weather.
