I wanted to like this place because it's in a warm and welcoming part of Olde Burien, right across the street from Stevie's Famous Pizza. I got the Iris which was described as a vegan strawberry shortcake. I wanted to try their vegan cookie because I cannot digest milk protein well. The cookie barely tasted of strawberries which was very disappointing, but strangely tasted like there were nuts inside even though no nuts were mentioned in the description. It was way too sweet and not baked enough in the middle. I only ate one third of the cookie before I called it quits. My hubs got the Celeste which was an orange mango dark chocolate cookie. He also found it to be too sweet, not balanced between the three flavors, and not quite baked enough in the center. If you like to eat raw cookie dough or prefer your cookies just baked past the raw stage, you might like Treat, but for us, this place is a hard pass. read more

It's been a while since I been back here and it still just as good. I'm surprised that the price is still very reasonable. Service was good. The people there was very helpful. The place is mostly take out but they have a few seatings. It's not super quiet but also not loud or feel rushed or chaotic or anything. I got a couple of cookies and it was pretty good. I was surprised how much I like the gluten free one but could barely taste the potato chips that was in it. The Celeste was probably my favorite. The strawberry shortcake was a little one note for me. The cinnamon roll was a little disappointing to be honest. I think they forgot to caramelize the sugar because everything was just soft. Randomly discovered a cute cookie shop. The moment you walk in you get a warm welcome, the place was clean and I loved the pink decor and seating arrangement. Perfect opportunity for photo ops. Let me start by saying that I am a huge fan of sweets, and I've tried countless cookies across the U.S. Currently, Treat Cookies are my favorite! I used to drive almost two hours to Sweet Cookie Co, which is only open on Saturdays, because they were my favorite in Washington. But then I discovered Treat Cookies, and now I only have to drive 30 minutes! They're open most days and in the evenings. I can't believe I hadn't written a review for them since I found them last year. We visited this past weekend, and they were absolutely amazing. The owner was working at the counter, and she is incredibly kind. The shop is super cute. And those cookies--wow, they are delicious! They are definitely worth the drive. The miso cookie just had a slight salty taste to it. The Vietnamese coffee cookie tasted like coffee but not Vietnamese coffee. The only cookies that were close to its Asian Inspired flavor were the pandan and mango sticky rice cookies. The coconut flavor really came through but that about it. I wanted to love this place. I randomly came across their IG account and literally had it on my radar for months. I finally went with a friend and it was underwhelming. The service was very mid - we walked in, shortly after they opened on a weekday, complimented the delightful smell and expressed excitement about all the offerings. The person that helped us was dry, seemed impatient, and was lowkey sarcastic. It was a buzzkill, honestly. It's always weird to me when businesses advertise how they're women and/or minority-owned, then appear cold toward women/minority customers. The cookies are designed to have a big heap in the middle, making them look like they could be stuffed, but it's actually just a super dense hump of cookie. The cookies were good around the edges but the big dense bit in the middle was hard to enjoy. My friend was excited to try the "strawberry soft serve" just to find out that it's actually more of a sorbet, rather than a creamy treat. The cookies are thick and very sweet so they get eaten in 1/4 slice servings which is fine, and make great for sharing. My favorite so far has been MANGO STICKY RICE - it had real candied mango and rice krispy treat inside. It was released for AAPI month. A bonus is the super cute pink shop that my 3 year old loves to come and sit down in while I order. They also have soft serve that we share before I take the cookies home. I have been wanting to try this place since summer. However with two small children getting out the door is difficult. Visited the store today and the employees and owner were so kind and patient. I stop in here at least once a month for their delicious cookies! The store is cute, very inviting and super clean. From the front you can see the kitchen in the back, which is also clean and well organized. I stopped in today because I had a taste for their sugar cookie. It's beautiful with a yummy pink frosting on top. The frosting is layered on pretty thick and is really sweet, but for me, taking off about half of it makes for a perfect sugar frosted cookie. The choco chips are another favorite of mine. Fall is coming and they will have a variety of other cookies, but their molasses cookie is another great pick. One of the marvels of pastry school was learning about the nuances of baked items, but my holy grail was all about cookies. I love cookies. I love Cookie Monster. I love cookies and milk. Santa sure hit the mother lode on Christmas Eve, lol! I always marvel at trying all kinds of chocolate chip cookies. So you can imagine, I was very happy to make the trek to Olde Burien from Shoreline to visit Treat Cookies for the first time on 3/24/22. I was able to get street parking around the corner, entered their sunlit retail shop, and immediately honed in on the front display case. I was there early enough that I was able to see the various trays of cookies arranged and placed on trays from the production kitchen. It was overwhelming on which cookies to select, because they all looked so delicious! Thankfully, their counter staff remained welcoming and patient as I clearly was dazzled by so many cookies. The lovely shop also has a wide variety of merchandise also nicely displayed. Items combined with cookies make a fine gift for yourself or others and celebration ready. I did end up buying a box (4 cookies for $12) containing the following: *Madison - Chocolate Chip Cookie with Flaky Sea Salt *Carly - Gluten Free Peanut Butter and Reese's Pieces Cookie *Remy - Soft Peanut Butter Cookie dipped halfway in chocolate *Hannah (available during March) - Maple Bacon Doughnut Sugar Cookie. A browned butter sugar cookie topped with fluffy maple buttercream and crispy bacon bits I then realized that I forgot to even mention that I was here for the Yelp Elite Experience, had to retrace my steps back to the counter. I ended up selecting Taylor - Sugar Cookie with pink buttercream frosting and also received some Yelp hand sanitizer. These cookies are mammoth made with premium ingredients and with great care. They are so worthy upon first sight, flavor, texture, and the heady cookie scent that permeated the retail shop. All five cookies were distinctly delicious. Cookies are uniquely named and some on limited seasonal or monthly rotation. Definitely encouraging return visits to see what other cookies are available. I treat myself at the Treat Cookies at Burien. Easy to find the store and park across the street. I like the pink and white interior that makes me feel joy. Well, I was a little time to choose my cookies. I chose Cinnamon Toast Crunch Roll from the March specials, and Mimosa, chocolate chips and birthday cookie. You can eat as much as you want. Also, Mimosa was a unique scent of taste. I love it! I left chocolate chips and Cinnamon Toast cookies for tomorrow. Oh~ easy to eat all cookies. Treat yo'self to some Treat cookies! I've seen this shop many times, but I'm usually in the area on Sundays when they're closed. The stars aligned recently and I decided to pop my head in a little before close in the hopes they still had some options left - which they did!! I opted to go with a 4 pack for $10. Super happy to see ube cookies! I really love ube items and I'm happy that it's becoming mainstream. Snickerdoodles? Easily my all time favourite, must have! I also went with some sort of oatmeal cookie and a...chocolate PB?? Overall, cookies were good and I'd eat Treat again! These are definitely more on the doughy side when it comes to cookies and I wish that they were baked ever so slightly longer, but sometimes it's nice to change the texture up. Favourite cookie shop? We stopped at Treat Cookies on our way home from the airport to take advantage of the Yelp Women run Seattle event. Thanks, Yelp! The March special flavor lineup is all breakfast-themed so, of course, we had to try them out. Who doesn't want cookies for breakfast? We ordered the Hannah (maple bacon donut cookie), a Margo (creme brulee french toast), and a Renee (mimosa). They were all packed with flavor and sweetness. The Margo even came with a syringe of buttermilk syrup to inject even more deliciousness into the cookie! I'd have to say my favorite of the bunch was Renee. A super moist orange cookie with white chocolate chunks, topped with an orange and champagne glaze and a spiral of candied orange for garnish. A strong cup of coffee would have been a perfect complement to all of our choices, especially Hannah. Cookie Caveat: Do not try and eat these as you drive. Learn from my mistake. You will be covered in delicious cookie crumbs and, trust me, you do not want to sacrifice even the tiniest bit to your car floor mats. An additional bit of awesome: The ladies of Treat recognized that their proximity to the airport is a big ol' plus, so they have super sturdy boxes so you can carry on your Treat Cookies with no fear of them being crushed!
