I have commonly purchased Macadons, both macarons and their ice cream macarons, during street fairs and at Bobae. I was pleasantly surprised (and amused) to find their macarons with custom printing at the "REVIVE I-5" booth at the University Street Fair. I was amused enough to write a separate review for them. The quality of the artwork and print colors are fantastic and vibrant with the rainbow colors. Please see photo. If I was interested in custom macarons, I would most definitely order some from Macadons. The flavor in this case is a simple vanilla, which has its charms, though I typically buy other flavors. The shell doesn't have the characteristic slight crispy, which is understandable since these are not fresh from the store. The inside is a very creamy filling that squished out on the sides as I bite down. Everyone has their own texture preferences. I personally like it less creamy. I normally buy their ice cream macarons, but these are still very good. The individual boxes make them great for small gifts. read more

The macarons here actually hit; they all taste unique! And this isn't just from this visit; they've been selling their stuff during conventions on the street between the Seattle Convention Center Arch and Summit buildings, and I finally got to go to this brick-and-mortar location on a Saturday night around 8:20pm. I had a friend gathering to go to the same night, and wanted to bring some desserts so this place came to mind. For it being very wet and rainy, this place feels like a nice relief from all that with the bright lighting and the cafe-like feel of the place. There's a grassy wall near the back for photo ops, and there are some tables, window seating and front couch seating. They don't only sell macarons here; there's also coffee, tea, and macaron ice cream sandwiches. I got a baker's dozen, which comes with 12 randomly assorted regular-sized macarons in a small container. This particular one came with three limited flavors: red velvet, cran-orange and a pear-like flavor. They were marked separately on a card provided with the box that shows all their regular offerings of macaron flavors. This came to $36 compared to $40 for the same number of macarons if you wanted to choose specifically which flavors you wanted instead. I also got myself a Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich; each one is prepackaged and $8. Both people working at the counter were extremely helpful in helping me decide what to get, and explaining the differences between both sets. Flavor wise, I was not disappointed: - My Thai tea macaron ice cream sandwich hit the spot! The macarons did not come apart too easily and I could still maintain the shape of the sandwich throughout. Ice cream consistency is great, and the Thai tea flavor is not too strong. The whole thing is not too sweet by itself either, and this goes for all of their macarons in general. From other visits to their stand during conventions, I recommend their Cap'n Crunch berry, lemon, peach and durian flavors for ice cream sandwiches. - One of my friends and I loved the Vietnamese coffee flavored macaron. Taste is strong like phin-brewed coffee and it didn't have much sweet of a taste, something that would not have done well for this flavor. - The cran-orange and blueberry flavors were our other favorites; both had tastes that reminded me a lot of their respective flavors. - The box also had dark chocolate, vanilla, ube, Thai tea, pistachio and salted caramel flavors. All were decent and tasty. What I like about this place is that the taste for all of their macarons is exactly as advertised and never bogged down by the flavor that macaron shells are usually full of. I can't eat too many of these at once since they can be too sweet over time, so I would save these for a group setting where you can share these. By themselves, they are a great way to get your sweet tooth the love it needs! read more

Here for the ice cream. They have their own ice cream, named Pinkies. It's packaged adorably and with interesting flavors such as Vietnamese Coffee, which we got; we also got the mango, which the husband loved (that's saying it's pretty good because we generally get mango from whoever). The Vietnamese Coffee is similar in texture to ice milk - it really tastes like they literally froze some Vietnamese Coffee lol. These are for sale in stores as well as on site. I finally stopped my their new location, which is located in Lexus of Bellevue. I really hope they do well because it's a dealership and not many people would know about it. It's located in the back and it's pretty quiet. There was a couple of people drinking coffee and doing laundry some work. The lady that helped me was really nice. Cool Aunt Status: Unlocked! I took my niece on a post-lunch dessert adventure to Macadons, and this place delivered on flavor and fun! We tried the White Rabbit, Passionfruit Green Tea, and Green Mango with Vietnamese Chili Salt macarons. We were given a few free samples of a new flavor they were going to release. We gave our criticism and next time around I felt they took our input into consideration. When we are in the area, we make it a point to pop in and see what new flavors and offerings they have. Fast forward to today. I'm glad to know they are still here. They have great macarons with distinct flavors. If I were to eat one with my eyes closed. I could confidently say I know what the flavor is. I have been going to this spot for a couple years now whenever they do pop-ups in Seattle and I recently found out they are also sold at Kkokio in Rainier/Chinatown side! They are dangerously good and have a variety of flavors to choose from, such as ube, espresso, tea, and chocolate! Quite possibly the best dessert I've ever had, and I didn't think I was really a macron kinda guy. I'm grateful I live too far away to drop in often as it's not cheap, but it puts two checks in every other box. Flavorful, fragrant, aesthetic (as my 13yp would say). What a fantastic place to stop. As we were leaving a event on the other side of the street we saw that Max is still open. Had never been in. Because it was our first time we were offered a sample, a full-size sample, which was amazing and persuaded us that it was worth taking some more home. My friend picked up the take-home box full of minis and it was hard not to admire the megalodon printer which "prints" customized logos and images of all sorts on the megalodons while you wait. I went in to do a taste test for my niece's bridal shower. The gal working was super sweet and worked hard. There were so many flavors and so pretty. They do custom designs for an extra charge. So you could do a logo or a monogram or almost anything. That said they require 2 week lead time. Since I didn't know that existed, I was too late. I ordered 36 large and 20 minis for the next week. So the pickup was what was disappointing. We got the 36 as requested, but they told my husband there were no minis available. I thought that if I placed the order that there would at least be some minis but specific colors might not be available. At least I had another dessert that was the main dessert at the shower so I was able to go without the minis. Not a disaster either. I bought my own macaron stand and set it up myself. read more

Cute little shop in downtown Renton. I bookmarked this place after it popped up in an email from Yelp and I thought this place would be a winner. Macarons and ice for son and coffee for me. With it's convenient corner location, no matter where you find street parking it will be an easy walk. The inside of the shop is open, warm & very inviting. It's clean and just enough seating. I'm not sure why I assumed this place had ice cream as in scoops but they do not. The ice cream is in to go pint containers so that was a bust. The selection of macarons was plenty and we went with a 6 each which was $17.00. They were delicious for sure. I'm typically not fan of fruity pebbles because I think it's too sweet but I loved the ones they do here! They were delicious! Thinking back to the other flavors, they were good at the time but nothing else is really sticking out to me like that fruity pebble did. I did order a coffee and it was a okay. It was full bodied and strong without being bitter. I would have love to give this place a 5 star review but on our visit, I felt like I was in the way of the gentleman that was ringing us up and taking our order. I even explained it was our first time in the shop, but didn't matter. He wasn't rude or anything. Just short and not very customer service oriented.
