This is probably my new favorite boba tea place in Jacksonville. They have sugar substitutes for people like me who can only take a certain amount of carbohydrates a day. You can choose between Splenda or stevia. Their boba tea is more geared towards Americans so it's slightly sweeter if you're used to Asian style. So, I'd recommend starting at 75% sweetness. I love how they also have games on the side. It's a wonderful place to socialize. And there is ample BTS playing through their stereo system, haha. Who doesn't like a little kpop in their life? I've been coming here for years, but recently, my partner developed an allergy to caffeine. I asked miguel if the menu had anything caffeine free. "No." I then ask, can I have just oat milk and strawberry flavoring. "No." Okay, there is a section on your digital menu for caffeine free. One thing I got to say.. the best brown sugar milk I ever had here in Jacksonville. I have tried multiple local boba shops around the area and none can beat Treata Tea brown sugar. It's definitely not too sweet nor too concentrated (if you wanted to lower sweetness level it would still taste great) just the right amount of sweetness. I didn't get to try the Boba Tea here yet because the one that was delivered to me is brown sugar milk without the tea so it's hard to judge how good this can be since it's missing the key ingredient. Cute boba place! Lots of teenagers when I arrived which is really cool because Treata Tea Shoppe does fundraisers events for high schools! Must be a popular spot among them because it was packed! Cool thing about this place is that they give you the option to choose how sweet you want your drink. Just a rule of thumb (also a note to myself ) always order 100% sweet. I love it because we can control the amount of sweetener and they use real ingredients. If you're into the powder mixes that are overly sweet -- you may not be a fan. Call in to make your order and pick it up at their drive through window. When we called in we didn't realize they had a drive through window because it wasn't well marked so look for it on the side of the building. The tea itself was good. I would say one of the better yea shops I've found in Jacksonville. I enjoy the honey milk tea with 50% sugar (or less) -- it reminds me of Lollicup. The tea lattes are made with half and half which I'm not a fan of. The tea lattes I've tried are really bland. Boba is not sweetened. Staff always makes me feel rushed, but drinks come out quickly as a lot of the drinks are premade. They allow for dine in (08/2021). The milk tea here was amazing! I've never experienced a boba combination like the thai tea cloud I ordered, it was as if there was cheese foam mixed in with the thai tea. It absolutely hit the spot and the boba was a perfect texture. My friends got the cookies and cream and it was delicious! If you have read any of my past boba reviews, you will find that I mention most of them are located on beach Blvd. And this new place is no different. Treata Tea replaced what was once Naga Tea, ..which was once Who's Tea (or was it the other way around? I can't keep up). Let's see if Treata is here to stay & play. I didn't take pictures of the inside due to lots of [what appears to be] high school/college students hanging about in there & it felt invasive. There were lots of tables & I could see why this is the current "it" place to hang out to replace your typical coffee shoppe. Let's get to the boba review. I only got one drink. If you think one drink is not enough to give a proper review, think again. I got the (you guessed it) brown sugar milk tea with added Oreo. This has been a popular blend & usually is a top/signature item, so I believe that with this flavor, you can usually get a pretty good first impression. The brown sugar milk tea is only available in the SMALLEST size. For $5. Apparently, due to the way this drink is made with the syrup & the flavor will only properly take in this size. I'd like to be enlightened onto why other places are able to make this drink on the regular - or even large size. The flavor was ok. On the milky side, & I could not taste the tea at all. On the plus side, the tapioca boba balls were really good. You ever have a craving for some good, good tea? I had that this past weekend. I can honestly say that I've never been to a boba tea shop and I'm so glad that I decided to give this place a try. I ordered through a third-party app and they left my order at the door (and not directly in front of my door). The drink that really spoke to me was the Kumquat and Orange Green Tea. Kumquats are my jam! I used to be able to buy them in my local grocery store until they stopped carrying them. I was hurt so to be able to have them again made me happy. The drink was super potent. That's the strongest green tea that I've ever had and I loved it. I also asked for light ice and 50% sweetness and this is honored to the Tea lol. My boyfriend got the Camo Thai Tea with Grass Jelly, Stevia at 25% sweetness. I think it's regular Thai Tea with some kind a of creamy swirl in it. He didn't know what he ordered either but he ended up really enjoying it. Will say that the grass jelly was really interesting tasting. Very earthy and actually went really well with the tea. We came craving for boba and ordered the Camo Thai Tea & Brown Sugar Milk Tea (with 50% sugar on both drinks). We received the sweetest drinks we've ever had. We decided to ask for a new drink since these had WAY too much sugar. The staff refused to replace our drinks, stating that they had already been open. I'm here for the aesthetics, but the overall taste and the environment of this place are underwhelming. No Taro flavor. Mango milk tea lacks flavor, in my opinion. Personally, Bowl of Pho or Aroma Corner's mango flavor is unmatched. The staff friendliness is a hit or miss with some of the workers there. Let me give you an example, placing a to-go order at 9:15 pm gets you an attitude from the night employee and dirty looks when you enter the place. The employees assume that you were there to place an order upon arrival so they immediately tell you, "we're closed." No hello, no how are you first. The containers are really cute though, and the look of the shop is fine. But I can't get over the taste. It needs a recipe change or maybe my expectations for this place were too high. Personally, I don't plan on getting a drink here again unless they go through some major changes. read more

Been coming to treata for years now with no issues until today. My wife ordered a herbal tea with cheese foam. There was no cheese foam in the drink and when I asked the employee about it they said they mixed it into the drink which that's never been a thing before and you couldn't taste any cheese foam anyways so that was an obvious lie. There was no sign of white cheese foam in a dark colored drink either. I asked if they could add cheese foam to it because clearly they never did and wanted me to pay for it again? We were one of three customers who had a problem with there drink while we were there waiting. Clearly the employees on this night were having issues (7/29). We come here at least once a week for the last 6 years and never had any problems before so it's sad we did today and the employees weren't willing to fix it. I get mistakes happen and that's fine but you can't tell me you put something in my drink when clearly you didn't. Won't be coming back for awhile if again.
