Met a friend for coffee here. At first we wondered about going in because there's also a pharmacy at this location and we weren't sure what to think. We went in and had a pleasant conversation with one of the baristas. She explained that it was a shared space with the coffee shop, pharmacy, and even a nurse practitioner. The place has a great comfortable look to it with a couple couches, some comfy chairs and table and chairs. After getting our drinks we sat and chatted for a couple hours. It was just that comfy! My Cortado was wonderful! It's how I prefer to try a new place because that way I can really compare beans. This was a smooth roast with more of a chocolate overtone than fruity. I really liked it! Daily Dose is a coffee shop in Jax that I don't know existed. It's combined with another store which is an interesting setup. It's in a fairly good area of town. Close to UNF. We tried the sugar free hazelnut iced latte with almond milk and a hot Irish Cream latte with almond milk. Both coffees were very good with solid flavor profiles. The cold drink had a very unique cup which I thought was a nice touch. There are some pastries to choose from. The vibe inside is nice with not so loud music and a big seating area with a couch and chairs. They even have a nice big restroom. I have been to Daily Dose twice and had a great experience both times. The menu can be a bit intimidating since there are so many options and their drinks are so customizeable. I went with the toasted coconut on my first visit since it was a special of the day. It was delicious, but way too sweet for me. This time I asked for it less sweet and the barista told me I could do 25% or 50% sweet. I got the 25% sweet and it was perfect. They seal the drinks and put them in a custom bag so the cups don't fall over. I like checking out the daily menu that includes the barista's recommendations. Some of the flavors are so unique. Between 2 and 4 they have happy hour! Buy one drink, get one half off. There is a parking lot in front of the shop which is shared with a pharmacy. It is a quiet place to work with good wifi too. Part of it is loyalty. I did try this spot in 2020. That's when I fell in love, back when all of us were wearing masks. Fast forward 4 years to present day, I've been coming so often I look forward to catching up with all of the girls who are a part of this small business. I've learned way more of what ingredients go into these products , which made me even more obsessed. This isn't a powder milk tea place; this is a fresh ingredient, organic coffee small business. The flavor isn't just flavored syrups n powders like most typically are. For instance, this new fall menu that just launched : real pumpkin purée that the owner makes herself is what is part of the pumpkin pie latte and milk tea. You are probably thinking Wow, those drinks must be quite pricey I bet. Nope! Cheaper than the leading boba businesses or Starbeez coffee order. It shares the same lobby as the pharmacy but their is seating and some tables available. They have a barista drink of the week which is cute. I got the Blue milky Way, and iced chai, and the Red Striped Dragon. The Blue Milky way is a cotton candy flavored drink and super sweet although you can adjust the level of sweetness. I also got an iced chai latte with lavender syrup as well which was good. They also have a variety of different syrup flavors if you want to customize further. You can also add boba if you want. The Striped dragon is a matcha drink with strawberry puree and it was delicious. The strawberry puree is made in house so it tastes very fresh. If you order multiple drink they will give you a tray and a bag to carry it in. They seal their iced drinks like boba drinks so it no chance of spill while you transport. read more

A coffee shop and pharmacy as one operation? Beam me up Scotty! Or better yet, what in the world did Daily Dose put in my white chocolate latte to make me like Monin syrup? I came in this shop feeling ok but left extremely happy! Could it have been some form of contribution from the Medtown Pharmacy on the other side of the shop? I'm just kidding but it was great to find a new coffee shop stop other than my usual Brass Tacks and Elliano's (both of which are outstanding). And the tiramisu we had with our lattes was fab too! I have to say I liked Daily Dose Craft Bar immediately upon walking in as a fabulous barista, Melia, gave me the most enthusiastic greeting I've ever had in a coffee outlet. We got to talking about their menu and I was stuck between white and dark chocolate lattes when I discovered they used Monin syrups in their lattes at Daily Dose. That was kind of a downer and Monin has not been my fave among the latte syrups, though I can tolerate it. But I gave it another try by ordering a white chocolate latte. Well the magic formula that got me loving this latte even with Monin in it was 16 oz latte with 3 pumps of syrup - and bingo! All my fears of Monin syrup were gone! Yes, it was very good and worth every cent - and the tiramisu, along with the other pastries are awesome here. I have to thank Melia for the excellent service and interest in what I had to say about other coffee shops I've been to in other parts of the country. It's good to have an open set of ears at times that wants to learn and find ways to improve their product. As far as Daily Dose and Medtown Pharmacy being under one banner and space, yes, get used to the two being linked inside the second you walk in. I wondered if this could work and how, but it really does. People do get their medications here and people come in and get coffee - some do both. The seating types are varied - wooden tables, couches and other upholstered chairs are available. I really came to like this coffee shop! Well, it was truly something new in the truest sense! And I left wondering why I was so happy when I left - well again - there is a pharmacy on the other side of the shop! Went in on Saturday afternoon, a couple others came in and left. The furniture is very nice to hang out and chat but I could see that it could be awkward to hang out when the pharmacy is open. We walked in and Genevieve patiently explained the ins and outs of the drinks. I knew that I wanted the passion fruit green tea. E Cobb is always on the verge of being indecisive but I knew by the gleam in her eye, red bean tea with boboa was going to be her choice. I am so grateful for Genevieve asking about our preferred sweetness in our drinks. If you and sugar are not friends I would suggest 25% in fruit teas. I got 50% and it was still really sweet. This place is a hidden gem. I honestly thought I was headed to another bubble tea place on beach. I met a friend there and I was first a little taken back the lack of parking. There may be space for no more than 7 cars. I was lucky to find a spot. Once we got in the staff was very friendly as attentive. The whole place smelled like lemongrass. I originally wanted another tea with lemongrass, but they said they press the tea all day and it would be awhile. I opted for the blue zen with aloe jell. The drink tasted like a spring day. The aloe is good for digestion and skin and hydration. I believe it had lemonade it in. I would bet this and come back for a latte. It smelled amazing and the tiger mural was beautiful. read more

Why did I think that I could go without a cup of coffee on the weekend? We both had a craving for it and found this place on the Uber Eats delivery app. This drink place was more appealing as they have more sugar-free syrups for my babe. He got a small Drip Coffee with Almond milk, Stevia, and Sugar Free Chocolate Cookie Dough syrup and a Blueberry muffin. I just got a Large Latte with Oat Milk, Splenda, and Lavender syrup. They delivered it ahead of time which was nice and we enjoyed our items while watching a movie. He thought the muffin was good, soft, and tasty while the coffee could have used some more syrup. They also filled his coffee up to the rim and it was a-lot for him. I thought it was fine. My latte was delicious. I do wish that they had regular vanilla syrup instead of French vanilla syrup so that I could add it to my drink along with the Lavender. That's my favorite mixed syrup flavor. One of the best coffee spots in Jax! I used to be an avid Starbucks/Dunkin sipper but when I moved to Jacksonville, I decided to give a local coffee spot a try. I enjoy it way better than the commercial coffee spots. The coffee just taste more authentic and isn't so sugary which is a plus for me. I have enjoyed coffee from this spot for almost a year now and every time I ordered, I have never been disappointed. I usually get the Iced Caramel Latte with Oat Milk. I think if a drink is served with cream cheese cap should be enjoyed with a "sippy" cup lid instead of a straw (so you get the full effect of the drink). I always get my caffeine fix from this place thru Uber Eats. I like their tea selection if I want to avoid drinking coffee everyday. Since I have it delivered to my workplace, they seal the cup well which makes it leakproof. I have tried a couple of their cakes. Perfect size per serving but you might feel like it's a little too pricey for a thin cake slice. But if you are after the taste, definitely a must try. Their cakes are not too sweet.
