My rescue pup is coming up on her one year anniversary of her, Gotcha Day. So she and I went shopping for a new collar and leash. It did not take long, we found the perfect one here at TU in Kirkwood. Sophia's signature color is pink and we found one that is a medium pink with paw prints on it. She tried the collar on and it was a perfect fit. So we got the matching leash, too. She is going to look so stylish walking in our neighborhood. I'm making her wait till the end of the month on her actual day, before she can start wearing it. We also picked her up a, Princess Crown cookie. Of course, TU does them in pink, so it is as if they made it just for her. The staff here is always super friendly and makes over all the dogs. They're also very knowledgeable in the premium foods if you need assistance with that, too. When you shop, be sure to sign up for the rewards program. There's lots of perks for your fur-baby. Treats unleashed is a favorite store of mine to come to and grab some delicious treats for my fur baby. I love that they bake their treats fresh in house, and they always have a different variety of treats to choose from. All of the products they sell are natural, healthy, and hand selected. You can never go wrong with purchasing anything from them. I came to the Kirkwood location and was greeted by a young lady, Madilynn, who was oh so kind and took the time out to make small talk with me. The staff is so friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about your pets like they are their own. I have taken all of my dogs here to get groomed, but love that they offer homemade treat and are so knowledgable about different foods and ingredients. I was feeling my dog a "grocery store brand" that he stopped eating. I came in looking for a food he would actually eat and that would be good for him, and felt like the staff worked within my budget, explained all of the options for me, and didn't try to upsell me or make me feel badly for getting a lower cost food. I honestly believe they wouldn't offer a brand unless they had done the research. I prefer to shop here instead of getting food delivered (as much as I love Chewey) to support a local business pumping genuine care back into the community. *Note this sounds like it could be over-puffery and I assure you, it's not. I'm loving this new Treats Unleashed location in Kirkwood. It's larger and more convenient than my favorite location in Town & Country. I think this will be our new go-to location. The employees are as nice as ever. This location has self service grooming. They will order products for me that they do not carry. They have a larger selection of products. I love how at this location they are perfectionist about the baked goods and if they do not turn out to their liking they have a bucket that you can pick treats out of for your fur baby to eat. This location is clean and very orderly. They are in the process of getting events together. I'm definately looking forward to future shopping adventures here. read more

I brought my small Havapoo here for a haircut because my regular groomer was very booked up. A friend recommended me to Treats Unleashed but I'm not sure which location she uses. For a $75 haircut I was super disappointed with my experience. There was really no "consultation" about what kind of haircut I wanted for the dog, etc and you would definitely expect that for a first time customer. I did voice that i wanted a teddy bear cut on the head and to leave the ears longer. When I picked up my dog she was basically shaved down to nothing on her entire body except her tail. I know she was a little matted in a couple places but there was no reason for her head or ears to be cut that way after I made a specific request and the groomer mentioned no concerns with my request. However, what really made my experience poor was the fact that my dog had a pretty good size cut under her leg and no one mentioned it to me when I picked her up. I'm a realistic person, I know that dogs don't sit still during grooming appointments and I also understand that accidents happen but this was a pretty good size chunk out of her skin and I find it ridiculous that no one said "Hey she does have a cut under her leg and we did clean it up but wanted to let you know so you can keep an eye on it" To me that feels really shady. My dogs $75 haircut was honestly a mess - she had so many random stray long hairs that I had to spend 10 minutes trimming her when we got home. I have had positive experiences with Treats Unleashed when buying treats in the past but I will definitely not be back for any grooming services. read more

I took Rosey, my 7 month old Cavapoo in for her first grooming and I couldn't be happier with the cut Andrea gave her! I brought a couple pictures I found online of cuts I liked as I was worried she would get cut too short and lose some of the poodle look. (I have seen some "botched" doodle puppy cuts before) Andrea was SO great! She asked specific questions about what we wanted and you can tell she really cared and is passionate about her job. Once Rosey was ready, Andrea texted 15 minutes before to let me know and sent a picture asking if there was anything else she wanted me to trim before I came. Which I thought was great customer service! We will definitely be back and have already told friends to come see Andrea! read more

Today was my first time at this store! I was driving by and happened to have my dogs with me, and I've been meaning to go since it opened. First off, it's small. The building is new though, and the store is very clean. It didn't smell like a dog toilet (which some pet places do). I greatly appreciate this and the effort put in to keep it nice is obvious. There was a little table set up with all kinds of treats, and one of the employees asked to give my dogs a cookie each when we came in. The selection is limited, due to the size of the store, but they manage to cover a little bit of each section. There were beds, leashes/collars, toys, and other items as well. I didn't really look around too closely because my dogs were excited and trying to pull me around. The beds stood out because they looked extremely comfy and fluffy and I was curious about getting one for my larger dog. Staff wise, this store is a gem. Everyone was extremely friendly and wonderful to deal with. The girl who tried to give my dogs cookies laughed when they were too excited to eat them at the moment and offered to bag them up so we could take them home. I also forgot my smaller dog's leash at home (thought it was in the car) so she offered one the store has on hand for just that situation. She also asked lots of questions about my dogs and complimented them a lot, which I'm not going to lie, I loved. Pet-Smart and Pet-Co employees are also generally friendly but this employee seemed genuinely interested in my dogs. My dogs and I love this store!
