Baxter still visits this location for his grooming and spa days! HIs groomer, Ashley, always does a fantastic job with him and has been friendly and helpful. My little guy is a bit timid, but I think he has gotten comfy with her over the past few years and so I don't feel too nervous when I leave him. The store itself has a ton of toys, treats, foods and snacks for all types of pets and Baxter will always leave with at least 1-2 new treats as a reward for being a good boy at the groomers! The cashiers are usually very helpful and whenever there are coupons to use for items or grooming they have offered to scan the coupon or enter the code which is super nice. Staff are friendly and helpful, there's always need treats and toys to choose from and I love the DIY wash station. You can buy a punch card which saves you money. Check in with the check out counter to get towels. The wash station has high pressure water with a variety of shampoo to choose from and a dryer. Two spots for two dogs at a time. They also provide aprons, which is appreciated. Great prices made even better by coupons or other specials. read more

I came to this location because they have dog grooming service for my dog to get a nail trim and grind. You can make an appointment online but I decided to call. Staff was very friendly and helpful over the phone and when I arrived. You can watch from the window as they tend to your pet. They did a great job on my dog, Jada! This was the worst experience I have EVER had with a groomer before. Last week, I brought in my dog to the grooming salon after we made an appointment online. I was in line to drop him off when the groomer, I beleive her name was Amber, asked to look at my dog. I handed him to her, and she proceeded to, harshly and forcefully, put him on the floor and start looking at his coat. She had looked at him for about a minute, pinning my dog to the floor, when she said "Go home, we won"t take him". Of course, I was a bit confused. I asked her why they were rejecting him. "We don't like taking poodle mixes here. His hair is too long and he looks matted. The only thing I can do is shave him down to the skin, I don't like the long hair, he can get sick". Clearly this lady has absolutely no knowledge on grooming because our dog is NOT matted and is brushed constantly. I proceeded to ask her if she could just scissor trim him instead of shaving him down, to where she started getting very aggressive with me. "Get out of my store. Leave. We don't want you here. You are neglecting your dog. We don't like people like you". My dog is pampered and spoiled day and night. He sleeps in our bed, eats special food, is taken to the vet consistently, and is groomed every 6 weeks. So, this was INCREDIBLY offensive to me, to accuse me of neglecting my dog just because his hair was a bit longer than she expected. I of course refuted her claims and she started screaming at the top of her lungs for me to leave "her" store. I'm pretty sure she doesn't own the store, but that's besides the point. "Get out, and NEVER come back". Well, I won't have a problem doing that. We were able to get my dog on with a professional groomer that was able to do what we wanted. She verified that our dog was barely matted and that it wasn't a hard or dangerous job whatsoever. I have always shopped at this store, and I will never set foot in ANY PSP location. This groomer should be terminated immediately for insulting and screaming at me, and refusing service for something she wasn't even educated about. I will be telling ALL dog owners to never set foot in this store, especially the grooming section. What a terrible experience. read more

Just moved across the country back to stl. My 18 year old took our dog to be groomed. The groomer said his ears were matted and we Neglected our dog. He was groomed 5 weeks ago and is groomed every 6 weeks. When I refused by phone to allow her to shave my dogs ears she screamed at my son and refused service. My son was extremely upset. This is never okay. I can not believe you think it's ok to treat people this way . I have pictures of my dogs nonmatted ears . He was literally at the vet last month and is in no way neglected. This is the worst experience we have ever had with a groomer . I will tell every dog owner I know to take their business elsewhere. read more

Went in for a self service pet wash. They only have 2 wash stations and they were pretty busy. They provide towels, shampoo dryers and smocks to keep you dry. I wasn't a fan of how unclean the wash areas were. I've been to another location and it was 10x cleaner than their wash stations. They had a lot of sales going on, and the staff members were friendly and very helpful. read more

Great store, helpful staff. I also get my dog's nail trims here. It's mildly pricey, but very professional, kind, great work, AND, this is key, you can stand right there and watch because they have nothing to hide. I cannot stress enough how important that is. I love this store for pet supplies but our grooming experience was horrendous. Admittedly the dogs were overdue and had some matting but they made no effort to save some fur and shave them so close our one dog was knicked and now has a spot we are treating and has been timid and skiddish since coming home. The grooming staff was very unfriendly and now with the way our sweet dog is acting my imagine runs wild. I absolutely love the staff at the store. But absolutely do not recommend grooming. read more

I do online order and curb side pick up for my labs every 2 month 45 lb dog food. This is so convenient. I used to get frustrated going into a pet store and finding they were out of her healthy weight senior variety of food. It takes 2 minutes when I pull up to the store, to hit the I'm here and the big bag of food comes out and is loaded in my car. John is often at the store and an amazing owner who clearly takes a personal interest in customer satisfaction. I do use coupons, and they are honored as well as those of competitors. I came into the store to pick up some cat litter... While I was shopping, an associate came over (without me asking for help) and offered to help lift the 25 pound boxes off of the shelves for me, and then carried both items to the register. When I was finished checking out, he offered to carry them out to my car in the pouring rain! Super friendly, very helpful... That kind of customer service just doesn't exist anymore, this will be my go to store from this point forward, plus the prices and selection are comparable to the big box stores...doesn't get much better! read more

I went in specifically to use the self-service dog wash and I am so impressed! My dog cannot go up and down stairs anymore and our only tub in the house is on the second floor. Pet Supplies Plus has one wash tub that is very low and another that is higher up for smaller pups. The hose has a soft sprayer head that you can set so soapy or plain water flows through. There are a couple shampoos from which to choose. This set up makes the experience way quicker than at home and we were done in record time. I bought a wash pass for $25 for 5 washes, so this was a great deal. I've been to a couple different self-service dog washes before (one much more spa-like) but this one worked the best. read more

If you're in need of curbside dog grooming, this is the place to go. My fiancée and I tried to give our dog a bath and a haircut and it didn't go well. I've been coming to this store since they opened its close to my house and was great until today. Took my 12 year old Pomeranian for a bath after being boarded for 12 days.... she was a little matted but not bad.... when I picked her up they had shaved her... she had floor length hair and now she has no hair.. no one called me... nothing! For probably 10 years I have been taking my dogs to Alyssa at Pet Supplies for grooming. Alyssa always makes my dogs look fabulous and is so great at what she does. I dropped off one of my dogs this week to get groomed. She made a comment about how she has the best job.. she gets to hang with dogs. Nothing is better knowing that your dog(s) are in great hands with people that care. In addition to the excellent grooming services the shelves are always stocked, they have a good variety of healthy dog treats, and the employees working the register are always friendly. The store is nice size and clean. The employees are definately hit-n-miss (that's the reason for the missing star) but the owner is the nicest guy, John. If ever you have a problem, you can definately take it to him personally. He's usually always there helping out. They have a huge selection of food and treats. I mainly only pay attention to the food and treats. They do carry clothing options for the baby, collars and meds. They have a self serve dog wash and offer grooming. They now carry Fromm brand which is my favorite. They always have coupons or some sort of deal going on. read more

The self-wash stations here are the bomb. They provide the shampoo, towels, and a huge wash basin with a forced-air dryer. All of it is contained in a small windowed in room. One of my dogs is really skittish and really strong, so I don't have the ability to use traditional grooming services. Pet Supplies self-washing station allow me to get him squeaky clean without the anxiety of a stranger handling him. There is a full groomer in house too... and she is really kind. She comes into the self-wash room and clips their nails. read more

Meagan was as awesome as usual, remembered us, which is always welcoming.
