Turkey wings w/ yellow rice and double collard greens
    Amber L.

Had been looking forward to trying this place since it opened. Finally had a chance during a time I didn't think they would be too busy. All in all, I was disappointed. Firstly, I was not prepared for the prices! Whew! I patronize many similar establishments and this place is the most expensive, by far. The price of $30 for a turkey wing dinner is out of range of all local restaurants, particularly a more casual restaurant like this. More importantly, the food was not worth $30. The turkey wing (1 in 2 pieces, tip missing) was seasoned but the meat was tough and dry. The collard greens tasted like a quick cook instead of really letting them cook to soak up all flavors. I saw a bit of meat in them but the greens tasted unseasoned. Ordered double greens because the idea was the greens were going to blow us away. Did not happen. The rice was yellow but lacked seasoning as well. The service was very friendly and because I only had greens as the side, my order came out quickly. Everyone else seated in the restaurant was waiting on mac & cheese to finish cooking. I'm not interested in returning. Prices are too high for the establishment, the area and taste of the food. Kudos to the owner for being very hardworking and providing employment opportunities.

I visited this place for take out on a Thursday. Their special was Meatloaf but they also had smothered turkey, fried wings and seafood. I ordered meatloaf and a catfish/shrimp platter. Both were absolutely delicious and seasoned to perfection. The owner served the plates herself which was nice. Talk about attention to detail and presentation? It was on point. The customer service was also very good. One thing to improve on is wait time. Maybe there should be someone handling takeout vs. dine in orders. Also, Uber deliveries crowd the small restaurant. They can wait outside until their order is announced. Add a speaker to the outside. Otherwise I will return because the food was definitely worth the wait

Bright inside. Service was good and friendly. We came 1/2hr before closing so some items were sold out! Ordered the last catfish for the day with shrimp and a side of baked beans and mac n cheese. With a side of corn bread and some desserts to share. Lemon cake, sweet potato pie and banana pudding. The desserts were on point. Sweet potato pie was so good. Cornbread was just right would have been nice served warm with some butter. Banana pudding was thick creamy and yummy. Some of the best. The lemon cake was just ok. We had to try it but could do without. The drinks were all so good. The Mac n cheese is some of the best I've ever had. The catfish and shrimp looked so good I had to taste it and the catfish was so good! The baked beans nice and sweet. Everything was so good.

If you haven't been here, you need to get there ASAP. Yes, the lines are long and wait time is a half hour. BUT IT'S WORTH IT!!!! People will wait an hour or 2 at other establishments and the food at the other place is sub-par. I love when I don't need to add any seasoning to foods. The food here is just that flavorful. I'm always happy to go here to eat. Y'all should check them out on tiktok under the same name.

Wow, I don't know where to begin. I had high hopes of trying Treatsnbeatz but after I stood in line for close to TWO HOURS just to order and then another 30 minutes to get my order the food was not good Pros: the staff and owner were polite. Cons: The wait was the worst. The owner seemed to be doing majority of the work. (As a business owner I felt for her.) she was taking orders as one other person would appear every now and then to put something in the fryer. But the owner would have to plate the food as well. I believe the main cause for the wait was due to others ordering fried food items. But more staff was needed desperately Food: $30 for two turkey wings?! Same price as the oxtails. The collard greens were okay. Macaroni and cheese had little season or cheese. Turkey wings were salty and needed gravy. The yellow rice I believe was the best thing on my plate. I wanted to love this restaurant added following the company's page but I was very disappointed.

Food was terribly packaged. Max and cheese leaking. Only gave me one catfish, and my banana pudding was missing!

I've been ordering from Treatsandeatz weekly for the past few weeks, both through Uber Eats and in person, and unfortunately, the consistency just isn't there. Nine out of ten times, something is missing from my order, whether it's sauces, sides, or desserts. They don't adjust the charge; they simply leave items out. Even when visiting in person, if I don't double-check my order, something is often forgotten. On top of that, their packaging is careless and unsafe. Out of all the times I've ordered, they've properly sealed the bag, stapled or secured for safety, maybe twice. Every other time, the bag is left open and loose, with no protection or regard for food safety during delivery. The food itself is good, but customer service and attention to detail are seriously lacking. They need to do a better job checking orders and properly sealing bags for Uber Eats. I will never order from them through Uber Eats again. If you want the full experience, I recommend going in person, arriving early, and checking your bag before you leave. Even then, pack your patience.

I had been seeing reviews on this place for a while and finally decided to try it out. Surprisingly it wasn't busy when I went in. I was able to walk in and order. I ordered the twangy wings with a side of mac and yams. I also got an order of banana pudding. I made a last minute switch from the yams to collard greens with no problem. The staff were helpful and the wait time was fair. I didn't feel like I waited very long but I guess it depends on how busy it may be when you go. I went in on the Mac first because I wanted that the most. Everything was good. The food was delicious and the portions were great. I'll be back to try another menu option.

I've been seeing this place all over ig... so I decided once I left the mall I would head over. The young women that rung me up was very pleasant, answered all my questions and what she didn't have a answer for she found out. They do have seating but I chose to get my food and head back to my home. I ended up ordering fried lamb chops I never knew ppl fried lamb chops but here I was feeling like I needed to experience it. The platter came with two sides and yellow rice. For my sides I choose collard greens and yams. The meal was market price which was $40 dollars for 3 lamb chops with the sides. I ended up really enjoying the lamb chops and the sauce they put on there chefs kiss... it was so tender and juicy I wish I had more. The collard greens were really good as well, I couldn't figure out why ppl was coming in and ordering a side of collard greens but I do see why now. I would not get the yams again. They had this spice on them that was a bit overwhelming. I also ended up ordering the banana foster pudding... I will return because ain't no way I can live my life without those expensive lamb chops lol...

It's so bad omg it's so bad, I was going to do a review on social media but didn't want to bash them that bad. Let's start with the salty almost 7$ potato salad. Then the idk soso Mac and cheese. The yams were good. That catfish was advertised at 17$ but they charged 20$ was obviously cooked in old dirty greasy disgusting and salty. Also her portions are not as advertised on her social media. Honestly this food is not good at all, high blood pressure and diabetes on a plate.... Disgusting. she needs to put love and care in each dish. As a person born and raised in the county of Dade, I am disappointed. Never again for me. A waste of 30$ bucks tip included. FYI the cashiers were amazing

All of these bites were creative, bursting with flavor, and (important for a networking event) easy to eat while chatting. The wonton bites were especially a standout for me - I don't know what was in the curry sauce that made it so delicious (coconut milk??) but it was a bite of heaven! I jumped on the online schedule and picked the sunday class "a chicken in every pot" instructed by Chef Robin. When we got to the class 2 others were supposed to join but never showed. Therefore my friend and I had an unexpected private class! Chicken. Might sound boring right? Well can you actually roast a whole chicken with it getting beautifully brown and stay juicy? tie a chicken? cook a crispy and flavorful chicken provencal or saltimboca with an amazing sauce that I wanted to stick a straw in and drink? We learned all that and some. We learned great tricks on how to do the above items which may seem basic but with tips to truly take your cooking to the next level. Actual chef secrets that you can use in everyday life! While most of the fun was learning and cooking we also got to taste our dishes. The dishes blew my mind with how good they were. I'm not much of a cook so I did exactly as I was told to the best of my ability. We chopped veggies, made/rolled dough, added and combined ingredients all in the right sequence. In the beginning, I was so afraid to make a mistake that at times I may have been too slow but eventually I got the hang of it. Thanks to Ana and Robin we were able to make dinner and dessert in a very efficient and timely manner. We first prepared dessert, the Tarte Tentacion, so that we could put in the oven while we prepared dinner. The crust was probably the hardest thing to make here. We had to sift together all of the dry ingredients and pulse it in the food processor. Then add butter and pulse it again until the butter flakes formed pea-size pieces. Then add ice water to just hold it together. We then took this out and smeared it across a board and formed a mound of dough. We rolled this dough until it was the size of the circular pan and this dough eventually baked as the bottom crust once we turned it over out of the pan. This crust tasted amazing. Can't believe we made that ourselves. After dessert started to bake, we prepared the Ropa Vieja and Calabaza con Mojo at the same time. We combined a lot of spices and chopped a lot of veggies in a timely manner. Ana advised on how and when to heat all of the ingredients and when to combine them properly with the shredded beef. The food came out really fresh and tasted great. Nothing was too oily or salty. It was just right. Our dinner was served with white wine, a nice pairing. My Cuban +1 noted that this was the best Calabaza he's ever had and I promised not to tell his abuela. IN THE KITCHEN with Norman Van Aken is a culinary school and is for enthusiasts of all levels.
