Visiting a friend who works in the area for lunch. We're both trying this place for the first time. Gut feeling is a classic Italian market/deli counter hybrid business that are all around South Philly. This one's got good stock, though I'm no expert in that. I'm mainly here for the sandwich. We both ordered a #10. Took ~10 minutes from entry to exit to order, receive food and pay. There's a small table in the front of the store, but we opted to go to a nearby park bench. Sandwiches are solid. Pleasantly surprised that they use pocket-shaped bread instead of the traditional hoagie or sub rolls. It was fresh, refreshing, and the kick from the peppers was just enough for my mild spice tolerance to be enjoyable! I'm no local, but it feels like a locals only kind of place that serves the food quick and serves it well with no frills. Happy to visit again and work my way down the specials menu on a return visit to Radnor. read more

Very good sandwich! This place gets packed the minute it opens. If you go to pickup lunch, make sure you call ahead or there will be a 30+ minute wait because they're so popular. Really good flavors and fresh ingredients. The prices are reasonable and the portion size was huge! Stopped in for lunch since it had such high reviews. It's just a little Italian grocery with a counter in the back. There were orders stacked up so it must be very popular in the area. I ordered the number with prosciutto with a side of chips and a drink. I looked around the grocery store while I waited. There is a little counter by the window with 4 stools for people to sit on. The sandwich was excellent and reasonably priced. I definitely can see why it is so highly rated. Would definitely stop by again when I am in the area. read more

The location is cozy and you can tell the community loves this place. The staff members were all super kind, so I would give them top marks for customer service. I had high hopes coming into this experience and I think they were a bit too high unfortunately. I had a porchetta sandwich in Rome that was packed full of flavor and absolutely to die for, so I decided to try the porchetta sandwich here. The food is delicious here. I'd definitely suggest ordering well ahead of when you need the food. I ordered two hoagies and they were so busy at lunch that I still needed to wait just to pick up and check out. It's not a knock on them--they're just really good and it's a small shop. This is by far the best sandwich place in the world. It's become a weekly tradition for me. Every Friday after I'm back from Austin, I stop by and get myself the crispy pepperoni sandwich. I think this is a family owned and managed business and they sure treat it like one. I was reading someones post about the best sandwiches across the country and of course being from Philly and for some reason everyone across the country bastardizing the Philly Cheesesteak I wrongy thought that the writer was going to do the same and name one of the hackeist places as the best sandwich. TO MY HAPPIEST SURPRISE HE DID NOT he named a very small shop on the main line down from Villanova University... So I had to go and I enticed my mom to come with me because parking is hellishly bad if you are not familiar with the area. The two sandwiches were so good my mom who always gives half to my dad took his half and ate it the next day. HILARIOUS as she said he would not appreciate it so why should I leave it for him! He can find something else to eat. Which I did and she was right he picked over it and threw half of it away. So I would have been pissed to see the good sandwich in the trash. read more

We tried the daily special (bbq chicken), Mediterranean tuna, and turkey club on a soft roll. I am not a fan of sandwiches but really enjoyed the food here. The turkey club was actually my favorite of the sandwiches that we got. It was simple but tasty. The tuna is not your typical tuna sandwich. It was an interesting twist but there was too much vinegar in it for my taste. The daily special was good but very heavy. I generally thought these were very high quality sandwiches and superior to what you would get at a chain shop. Small shop located on a busy street. It gets busy around lunch but they always give you very accurate wait times so you know exactly when to show up. Once you arrive they get you your food right away and you're in and out. So, I am doubling down on Tredici! I just did a small catering for my family for the holidays. I sent them a note from their website with our requested order and dates. They were quick to respond and accommodating. They also had great suggestions on modifying my order for my specific situation. The day of pickup (Saturday between 10am and 1pm) they were quick, attentive, kind, etc. They gave me reheating instructions that worked perfectly. The food was amazing! The best of the bunch was the chicken and eggplant parm. So good, and I am not a big eggplant guy. It was just so good....! Tip: Order early (at least a week or two if possible). While I was brainstorming innovative, interesting, yummy meals for my family during the COVID-19 crisis Tredici came to my brain like a vision. Over the years during family events a.k.a. surgeries, Life events etc., my dear friend has dropped off catering trays of delicious, easy pop in the oven meals for me and my family from this local Italian market. Tredici has a straight forward approach to their catering menu. I have never tried their sandwiches but I'm sure they're delicious based on my other experiences. One tray that stuck our in my memory was there chicken Cordon Bleu and Caesar salad. I decided to send Tredici an email right away. To my delight I heard back Almost immediately. We set up a plan for a catering meal pick up for later that week. I picked up my food yesterday and served a bunch of super happy family members of all ages from 11years old through 20's and on to 50's we had delicious chicken Cordon Bleu and Caesar salad. It was everything I had hoped for and more. I knew it was going to be good But, I didn't expect all of my family members to be thrilled. They were all begging for more food from Tredici. We are trying to support our local establishments by ordering some takeout. If you were doing the same I highly recommend adding Tridici to your repertoire. Here's a hint... The Caesar salad is topped with enormous amounts of fantastic fresh Parmesan cheese. I like to begin with dressing a family portion of the salad mix thoroughly, then add in undressed lettuce to the mix. Sprinkle some lemon and fresh pepper if you have some. My son went back for seconds and thirds. The croutons are extremely crunchy and delicious. A great snack to nibble on before dinner. Need list to say we are going to Look over their menu and keep ordering from Tridici. (I felt safe when I was picking up my meals. My wife and I came through Wayne yesterday after walking in Valley Forge. This place is so good. I am a big eater and I thought these sandwiches might be small so we each ordered a sandwich and an extra to share. We did not need to order a third sandwich. My wife got the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich and really liked it. I got their Italian with mild provolone. It was excellent. One of the best Italian sandwiches you'll get anywhere in Philly. The third was a turkey with mozzarella which was also very good(I ate it for dinner). The price of $10.25 for each was a very good value. I'm not in Wayne often but will stop back whenever I'm in town. Highly recommend! read more
