Coolest selfie ever, hundreds of feet above the ground

An utterly magical experience! The sunset tree climb was the most fun I've had in ages and definitely the highest I've ever been above the ground without being inside a building or flying vehicle. Absolutely unbeatable view over the Willamette Valley as the sun dropped below the coast range in the deep distance. The guide was very professional and very personable (hi Anika (sp?)) *and* she carried my backpack all the way up for me. I'm already trying to decide when I can book another climb in a month or two. Highly, highly recommend.

I never pass up a brochure stand in a hotel lobby, which is how we found this hidden gem of an activity two days before we arrived in Salem. We gift our children with experiences for their birthdays and this seemed like just the ticket for my soon to be 20 year old. Megan was an excellent teacher as she demonstrated all of the gear before having us practice the gear on the ground and then on the tree. Having us give her directions to go up and down was a great way to make us do the thinking. We got a workout as we learned to squat and pull up while attached to a rope to make our way to the top of the practice tree and then sit back as we made our descent. Now it was time for the real deal. After a short walk in our gear, we made our way to the tree that would have us 230 feet in the air to enjoy the gorgeous views around us. We were not rushed in any way and able to take breaks as needed. The view from the top was fantastic! I'm glad we discovered such a memorable adventure.

My two close friends and I climbed a very large tree named "Creek Tree" as part of my bachelorette weekend. We had a fantastic time! Our guide Megan (apologies if that is not the correct spelling) was absolutely delightful during our private climb -- very patient as we learned how to climb, and then competent and helpful once we were actually up in the tree. We were also grateful to have paid for photos of our experience. I'm so glad I chose such a unique, peaceful, and rewarding activity to celebrate my upcoming marriage.

Awesome experience. Leo brings a great combination of competence and laid back relaxation. I never doubted the safety of their equipment or setup, even if being up that high was sometimes a little nerve-wracking! I'd totally do it again. The hike to the tree is about 45 minutes and moderate in intensity only because it's mostly uphill and you're carrying a backpack (for the overnight stay). I had doubts about whether I'd be able to do the climb to the top of the tree, but I made it! For reference, I'm about 40 lbs overweight, can't do a pull-up to save my life, and was doing about 20-30 squats a day to prepare for the trip. It was a physically tiring exercise but I found it doable and it was nice that there was no sense of being in a hurry. The views from the top were gorgeous - sunset, Perseids meteor shower, then sunrise. What a memorable experience! Highly recommend.

This was an awesome experience! My partner and I had no prior climbing skills and Megan made us feel so comfortable and safe. It was absolutely gorgeous at the top and well worth the climb!

Leo claims that my review was dishonest. Please see the attached email communication where he already acknowledged the worn, damaged equipment. Yet, in his response to my original review, he claims that I am lying and that there was no broken equipment. So which is it, Leo? I also recommend people check out the reviews on Google, where another commenter has also posted a review detailing their experience with the ripped, torn equipment.

Our guide, Timmy, took this and was nice enough to send to me afterward.

What a fun and unique experience! The guides were knowledgeable, helpful, and relaxed. The experience felt safe even when dangling 180 feet in the air. It is important to know that it is a physically taxing experience. But what a neat thing to have done and seen.

When you walk inside, you are greeted by a multitude of different rock climbing walls to explore including options for bouldering, auto-belaying, partner belaying, and even a wall that is adjustable in angle and pathway that you choose to take. Alongside the rock climbing walls, this location also offers a gym space with cardio equipment, weight, machines, and free weights/squat racks inside one of their rooms. They also host group yoga classes in one of the 2 yoga rooms within the facility that are included with the membership fees. The walls themselves are well kept and offer a variety of difficulty levels for all levels of skill. They even have a wall that is in the "outside" covered space which can be a pretty chilly climb in the winter. All-in-all, this gym and rock climbing wall facility is great if you are interested in bundling the two activities together into one membership. At the time of writing, I believe the membership fee is somewhere around $120/month which includes all of the amenities aforementioned.

The scale of this place is jaw-dropping; every wall, every route, every corner feels massive and meticulously designed. The bathroom is clean and there are step stools for the toilet and water fountains. Parents are not allowed on the play structure, but there are tables to sit and watch or visit with others. Shoes are not allowed and socks are required in most of the floor, so there's cubby holes to store them.
