We ordered, then waited more than 30 minutes for food. Since we had just missed the M Club closing after 2 PM, I know we walked over shortly after 2, and by 2:35 we were still wondering whether our meals were being prepared--or still being introduced to the kitchen. I ordered the Cuban sandwich; my family had the quesadilla and fish tacos. The fries were honestly the highlight of the meal. Unfortunately, the Cuban's meat was dry and overcooked. The bread was fine, but by then my appetite had already checked out. The quesadilla and fish tacos were okay, but nothing worth the price. Service was equally confusing. We were asked multiple times whether tap water was okay, even after answering. When the waitress asked how the food was and I mentioned the dry meat, the response was essentially, "I know, it's big, huh?" Not exactly the kind of follow-up you hope for when your lunch is auditioning for beef jerky. For Miami hotel prices, plus a mandatory 20% service charge, I expected a much better experience. Slow service, forgettable food, and an empty dining room suddenly made perfect sense. Two stars because the food was not completely terrible--and the fries did their job.
