    French toast.

The French toast!!!!! That's it! That's all! Immediately yes! I didn't get the best picture. My husband and I shared it so he had the other half, which I immediately regretted lol.

This restaurant is inside a hotel, the place is super moody and sexy and overall very nice. For drinks I had the cucumber martini which was refreshing and very good. I started with the sweet pea guacamole which came with chips and was delicious, I also had the potatoes nuggets which were a pleasant surprise and but my favorite thing I had here was the Hamachi Crudo which I highly recommend. For mains I had the glazed short rib tacos which come topped with fried crispy onions and overall was a 10/10, I tried the fried fish tacos which were okay. For dessert we ordered the cookie platter which was not great and pretty disappointing . The service was great our server Maria was attentive and very sweet.

Visited Miami and this was the best restaurant we ate at. The ambiance was incredible, every food item we had was amazing and had so much flavor. The avocado on the pizza was so fresh and tasted so good. I wish we could have tasted everything on the menu. Our waitress was so kind and helpful and great with recommendations. Surprised this place is rated higher.

El Matador -- Miami: A Consistently Outstanding Experience For the past three years, every time we visit Miami, a stop at El Matador is non-negotiable -- and let me tell you, it never disappoints. You know how sometimes you hype up a place so much and it doesn't always meet expectations? That has never been the case here. Every visit is as incredible as the last, if not better. The outdoor seating is stunning, but what truly elevates the experience is the service. From Mayrelys's attentiveness (she never lets a drop of water go missing from your glass!) to seeing familiar faces like Carlos and Oscar, who've taken amazing care of us over the years -- the service is consistently top-notch. This time, we had Maria as our server, and she was an absolute sweetheart: attentive, kind, and full of great recommendations. We also had the pleasure of meeting the new GM, Laetitia. Classy, professional, yet so warm and down to earth. Watching her step in to help clean and support the staff despite her high position was inspiring. Chef Noel is another gem -- funny, kind, and the mastermind behind the magic in the kitchen. A special shout-out to Jean, the bartender. Do not miss the gin and tonic side bar experience he offers. He'll walk you through unique options like Monkey 47 and Malfi gin paired with a variety of tonic waters. It's like a vacation in a glass -- beautiful and delicious. Also, fun fact: Jean is an incredible opera singer! Ask him to sing something and help him get discovered. Food highlights: - Short rib tacos -- absolutely to die for. - Guacamole with peas -- a surprising twist that works beautifully. - Arroz con pollo -- served with crispy chicken skin that is next-level delicious. Drink highlights: - Tropical Old Fashioned and Negroni Colada -- both are must-tries from the indoor bar. If you're grabbing drinks inside, Valeria will take great care of you. She's energetic, personable, and adds to the vibrant vibe of the place. In short: sit outside, soak in the atmosphere, enjoy the impeccable food and drinks, and let the wonderful staff make your night memorable. El Matador is a gem that keeps shining, year after year.

The food was spectacular! Everything we tried was flavorful and the taste was on point! The service was great too! We went in for an early dinner at 7ish so got served pretty quickly in the beginning but it got full by 8pm and the service naturally slowed down. The ambiance was nice - we took the table facing the pool!

We checked this place out for dinner. It was fairly a quiet night. If you can, choose to dine outside. It feels like you're in a tropical island, romantic and beautiful compared to the indoor dining space, which is fancy and modernized. They first serve you bread and some olive oil on the side. We ordered several dishes: Pea empanadas, Charred Octopus , Glazed short short rib tacos, Black Truffle and Fontina Cheese pizza and Arroz con Pollo. My boyfriend's favorite dish was the pea empanadas while mine were the arroz con pollo. The truffle pizza and glazed short rib tacos were okay, but worth skipping them. The charred octopus was good too, but I have had better. We also ordered cocktails and we found the watermelon one tasting the best. The servers were attentative and professional. Personally I wouldn't come back.

This place is a vibe! I stayed at the Edition for about 10 days and I went to this bar most of the time I was there. The staff is very friendly. The cocktails were 5 stars. The ambiance is very nice and chic. The guacamole was something I've never had before and was absolutely delicious. I also tried the lobster which was great as well. Highly recommended.

Had been wanting to try matador room for a while. There was an event I accompanied my sister to on the rooftop so we decided to head down to the restaurant. The decor is dim lit and wood and has a sexy ambiance. We waited at the bar for our reservation. Bar tender took forever to acknowledge us, clearly understaffed on a Tuesday. Finally we were sat down. Service was absolutely horrible. It took them 30 mins to bring drinks, and even longer to bring the bread. My sister also did not like her drink from the bar, asked to switch it out untouched and they charged anyway. The butternut squash pizza was definitely enough for only one person, and it didn't have fresh squash, just a purée. The Brussels salad and the mashed potato were ok. It was an extremely pricey experience with poor service and small portions. Stick to just hanging out at the basement

We loved the matador room! Service was amazing and every bite of food was delicious. The serving sizes are a little small for the price but we did realize that would likely be the case going into the meal so it didn't bother us. We sat on the weatherproofed patio and it was great to be able to do that since it was raining and very windy. Overall it was a great meal and experience. The only thing to note is that the food comes out as it's ready so if you're in a large group everyone might be getting their food at very different times.

I ordered the rock shrimp - five small grilled shrimp (about 3 cm long), served in their shells. They came cut in half with a tasty sauce, but without any side dish, for $30. As we later found out, that was considered just an appetizer. We decided not to order anything else and left after about 40 minutes. From what I understand, the menu is different on the other days. But on that day, we found the experience unacceptable.

There's everything from a hammock to standard outdoor furniture. We ordered a few drinks throughout the night, thoughts on all: - Breakfast in the Moonlight: delicious, tastes like a tiki drink, easy to drink and balanced -East of Eden: I didn't love this one as much but the bartender recommended it so it must be popular. It gives me cucumber water at the spa vibes but in a cocktail form. -Always Summer Negroni: I absolutely loved this drink! My favorite one of the night. So cool because it's a clear drink. Really nicely balanced cocktail, not too bitter. -La Bamba Colada: Tastes like a piña colada! But not overly sweet. No dairy for my fellow lactose intolerant friends (just coconut milk). At some point we also ordered a salad, the Shaker Salad with mahi mahi - I liked it! Friendly bartender and staff and overall great place to stop in and grab a drink! They have pretty reasonable prices too.

After walking around the grounds for a time, I spotted this bar and decided I was ready for a drink. I was not exceptionally well dressed, but I was very pleased to be welcome to warmly by the staff when I sat down. I was given a cocktail menu and given all the time I needed to make a thoughtful decision. I was also pleased that the staff didn't hover once the drink was prepared. They were certainly attentive if needed, but they weren't interrupting my experience at the same time. This bar goes back to opening day for the hotel, and I'm very pleased that they've maintained the original chandelier and the overall feel of this bar. The drinks are expensive, but if you've been to Las Vegas or New York City the prices won't shock you that much. With a bar this well stocked I would be shocked if there's a drink they can't accommodate. I ordered a cucumber based item off the menu and found it to be absolutely delightful. This is the sort of experience that you only get to have a first time with once, so I'm hesitant to come back as it might spoil the memory I have of this place. That said I would definitely come back if given the chance.
