Excellent service and the food was perfectly prepared. Quick walk from the W South Beach. Had the house recommended Argentinian Malbec and it was spectacular.

Being directionally challenged, I usually stumble over places that I'm not looking for. This was the case with Baires. I was looking for lunch after settling into my room near the area from my flight earlier that day. 4am Whataburger and coffee before heading to the airport was GONE. I had searched up places to dine and located one, but omw to the location, I saw the doors to Baires open. I decided to stop in and eat. I will say I was not expecting to spend $50 for lunch, but I'm vacation splurging happens. This steakhouse is posh and woukd make a perfect dinner destination. There were a few people dining when I came. Didnt really notice what they were eating but I eventually went with the lunch sized grilled salmon that had a choice of fries, salad, or rice. I opted for the salad. which came witu a fresh vinagerette. I was surprises by the mutlitude of red onions on the salad. Luckily I live red onion. The bread provided prior to my entree delivered to my table was baked fresh. Salmon was grilled to perfection but coukd have used a lottle morr seasoning. Medium Well, the salmon was not dried out and was a nice sized portion for lunch. My server was attentive and checked on me tbrougjout the meal. Cant ask for anything more- except maybe a little heads up on the automatic service fee. Being out of state, that's not a thing in Texas collectively unless you're at a really popular location. In Miami, I've noticed the auto 20% charge which is cool if this is to ensure the waitstaff get paid, but who really knows if they do, so I actually like to tip in cash and give it directly to the waitstaffer, which is what I did at Baires. My waiter was so appreciative of the tip, which made me haopy to see. I enjoyed the experience and treating myself to a sit down meal, which is typically rushed or on the run on my day to day life. Coming here, enjoy the atmosphere and waistaff being attentive to your dining experience. Check it out during lunch just to get a feel for the place.

This restaurant was super close to our hotel, and such a great find! I made a reservation for 2 for 6:15pm on a Sunday, and it was fairly empty. Probably on the early side for dinner in Miami. The interior is very beautiful without feeling like you have to be super dressed up. It is also fairly quiet. There is a small outdoor patio area out front too. The service was great. I had an espresso martini ($19), which was very good and you can choose between vodka or tequila. I ordered a ham and cheese grilled empanada - grilled was actually so good, but I should've went with the waiter's recommendation to get the beef one because it was sooo cheesy, but still good. We shared the parradilla for 2, which was an assortment of short rib, flank steak, skirt steak, sausage, blood sausage, chicken, and crispy shortbreads (beef heart gland). You choose 2 sides, so we got grilled vegetables and grilled asparagus. I also got the short rib agnolotti in a cream sauce (au gratin style) - VERY good, heavy dish, and unique!! The parradilla was a great portion size and all the meats were fantastic; ordering it "medium" was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

Very good- lovely outside seating, good service. Loved their specialty spritz cocktail with gin. Chicken liver pate was velvety and smooth and was perfect. Blood sausage was tasty but would have been much better if it was served hot and not stone cold; great ham and cheese empanada- cheesy, crispy dough. Pasta bolognese was okay, but the skirt steak was perfectly cooked to medium rare and tasted like butter, mashed potatoes side was one of the best I have ever had- highly recommend the combo. Lava cake lacked some richness in chocolate for me, but it was good also.

Baires is heaven for a low iron girl like me who needs to up her red meat intake. If you haven't figured, Baires is short for Buenos Aires. And if you haven't figured that either: Argentinians are known for the best steaks and empanadas. I order the skirt steak with a side salad and a beef empanada. While I'm not really a drinker, I thought it was fitting to order a glass of Malbec with this. It was an amazing meal. Steak was cooked to the perfection and it was a large portion. I also tried my friend's short rib but preferred the steak. The vibe was great and the service too. They had live music as well. The desserts look delicious too but I was quite full. Highly recommend!

Took a few co workers to celebrate the holidays, it was their first time. Food seemed inconsistent, I've visited and dined at few of their locations but this one seems to be missing flavors or maybe was just an off night. Meats were not seasoned and not cooked well. Cocktails were great and our server was very friendly. I'll stick to other favorites but the grill platter not the best cuts and needed spices.

    Panqueques, so good!

Amazing dining experience on a Saturday night! This is the first time I come to this Baires location since they were on Lincoln Road before, and let me say, wow! What an upgrade! They have indoor and outdoor seating, as soon as you walk in, you are greeted by a very nice host, who walks you to your table. The staff are very nice, attentive and on top of everything...bringing bread to the table, drinks, and changing out your plates for new ones etc. almost like they are machines lol! It's great though, love the attentiveness. They also had a duo playing live music, it was so lovely and they played great music. The food: We ordered... Tuna Tartare Pear Salad 16 oz Ribeye Mashed potatos Blood sausage Regular Sausage Panqueques for dessert Spicy Margarita Margarita Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing!!! So fresh and delicious. The drinks were good. They have a great menu list with a variety of cocktails. Our waiter Fernando (I think that'shis name) was amazing and attentive as well. Very polite, personable, knowledgeable and made our dining experience that much better! I will definitely come back to try out other food on the menu!

Great place. Went here on a friend's recommendation and it didn't disappoint. The drinks were strong and the appetizers set the perfect tone for the meal. I especially loved my French Onion soup. The T-bone special was cooked right, though a bit on the tough side. The star of the show was the tuna steak: absolutely delicious. We were too full to get dessert, but the leftovers made for some fantastic steak and eggs the next day. Out-of-towner tip: there's an 18% gratuity included in the check on top of the Miami Beach prices.

The food and atmosphere at this location was amazing! First off, our wait staff was very attentive for the large group that we were; made great recommendations and always checked in. Food and as amazing, meats were cooked to exact temperature requested and delicious. Desserts were phenomenal, I'd recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Friday night in Miami. We didn't have a reservation for 3 but I think we were early enough to be seated which was great. They had live music which was unexpected and awesome. I love live music and the duo was great. We stuck to the meat dishes and added mussels and empanadas. Never had grilled empanadas so that was different and mussels were ok. I'd stick to the meat options. And keep space for dulce de leche dessert options YUM!! Great service and comfortable dining atmosphere. Plus it was so much cooler than being outside. Enjoy!!

My friends and I had just returned from a cruise and had one evening to enjoy in Miami. As…read morecarnivores, we thought this restaurant would be an appropriate choice for dinner. We were so surprised and impressed by the service, quality, value, and execution of food. Alberto was our main waiter who was supported by additional staff who were friendly and attentive- simply professional and hospitable. We tried the ham croquettes, melted cheese with chorizo, and fried calamari for starters; and the tomahawk, rib eye, and picana steaks as our mains. The croquettes were so delicious with two dipping sauces- the green herbal one was a perfect pairing. The melted cheese was excellent, prepared and presented in a cast iron skillet with crisp edges. The fried calamari was delightful as well with large fresh pieces and accompanied by fried zucchini chips amidst the calamari. The stars of the show were the meats that were prepared just the way we wanted and like. Each person in our group ranked the meats in different order but we loved the taste with the sides- sweet potato fries, regular fries, grilled corn, and the salt and sauces. The meal was better than expected and just what we needed. We left very happy, very satisfied, and very grateful for the experience. Thanks to Alberto and team!

To start, I was trying to eat at Tapelia and when we asked to be seated we were put in Ole Ole…read morerestaurant which was confusing but we went with it as we didn't want to sit outside. A short recap of the restaurant is the food is not worth the wait at all! We placed our order of drinks, appetizers and main dishes at 2:57. The restaurant was at maybe 60-70% capacity. Our drinks came relatively fast. When we noticed our patrons next to us had already almost finished their appetizers despite being seated AFTER we placed our order we started getting annoyed that our guacamole appetizer hadn't even appeared despite it now being 3:20! When Henry, the manager, asked if we were ok, we asked where our appetizers were in a respectful way and our waitress, Adriana, came by immediately saying, "you only ordered 5 min ago" with such atrocious attitude that wouldn't even be suited for an off Highway Diner. Henry did a great job trying to lighten the experience, and our guacamole did arrive shortly after. Then at 3:45 when we hadn't seen our waitress once since the previous encounter, and our main dishes hadn't arrived we went straight for Henry and he said, "oh you're food is done, are you ready for them?" As if we had to ask versus them arriving when done. They came immediately after. Henry offered to remove one of our appetizers for the trouble but did not. Which is fine, we hadn't expected it, though it was more just annoying as he said he would. I love to tip good service, though this is a prime example of why it is not ok for 20% to be automatically included in a check. The patrons next to us had a different server and their food came out with great time and they seemed to have the experience we were hoping for when we arrived. So I would have happily tipped their server 20%, however Adriana did not deserve hers and by automatically getting it there is no way for her to be motivated to improve. Onto food, three of us ordered a salad with steak, I forget the name but the steak was so hard to cut and even harder to chew. The other in our group ordered the Chiro Burger? And there was chorizo in it, and lacked flavor per him. The guacamole was delicious as were the fries but the melted cheese with chorizo was not good. Miami has such amazing food, so I'd skip this place.

After looking at the reviews I presented Mareva 1939 as my top choice. No problem for Mareva and they didn't need a deposit for the restaurant. It is in the National Hotel, next to where we are staying box 1 check. The place was beautifully decorated and staff all attentive throughout the night. That was my criteria not my boss' since the lack of good service can destroy a great meal. The food choices all were excellent but centered on tapas and Spanish cuisine which checked the second box. Served family style we all chose a number of different tapas and shared. Then large patella dishes, they were plentiful and all delicious. Lastly the price, which may seem high for those outside the area but not for those who know Miami Beach. The bill for the 10 of us that included several drinks person and enough food and desserts to leave us full came to $1,002 including tip and taxes.
