I have been to 3 of the Tree House locations with the Saratoga location the one visited numerous times since its opening. This location is spectacular and welcoming. I know to go early on weekdays because of the huge crowds on weekends. In the past, the pizza has been surprisingly very good with an incredible beer selection. That had been true until a couple of weeks ago when our small group had 2 pies. In the past, the sauce has bordered on excellent. This time the sauce was inconsistent and mediocre at best. The pie's crust also was a bit less crispy than in the past. The beer selection fell far short of my previous experiences here. They are known for their great selection of IPA's, but this time I couldn't find one close to former experiences with a fruit forward, easy and enjoyable drinking IPA. There wasn't the standard Julius on tap - sacrilege- or any IPA with a similar profile. The DIPA I tried was okay but below their standards IMHO. What a great location! I mean, you obviously don't need to comment about the beer, -because it's always five stars. And I thought this location did a great job giving other people samples to find the beer they wanted. Epic seating and yard space. My only "constructive" feedback (was the beer list was hard to read on the tv prompts at this location- it seemed like they were displaying other info and cocktails- never saw any beer- so when it was our turn, we jumped to the counter to read the beer list, and we inadvertently got skipped because their procedure is to wave on the person they are helping. This worked out fine for us, so no harm no foul, but i wish the draft list was displayed better on the day I was there. Obviously, you should go, my review is simply to ensure anyone who would be on the fence about going- goes. read more

Here's my grumpy old man review, because I am old enough to remember going to original TreeHouse Brewing in MA before the expansion. It was a pain in the ass. First was a long drive. Parking was a nightmare. You had to stand in a long line. In the winter it was bone chllingly cold. In the summer, it was hot without any shade. And when you got to the front of the line, the limits of what you could buy were sometimes insultingly small. And if you got there late, you might not get anything at all. But you bought your maximum allotment for the day, and you were happy. Why? Because everything you bought was made and canned on that very day. Now, I know the TreeHouse folks say that their beers are good for weeks. And there is some truth to that. But their beers are astonishingly good on the day they are canned. Their hazy IPAs especially start fading within days. When the brewery expanded, you could buy more beer. But some of it was made earlier in the week. Maybe some the previous week. However, with the paper order slips folks could see the canned on date for the beers being offered. Now, in Saratoga Springs, that information is nowhere to be found. Most of the ordering is done online or via kiosk. And one of the four packs I bought had been canned the previous month. TreeHouse is always going to be crowded. Go to Saratoga Springs in the evening an hour before closing. Even on the day of the World Cup Finals, the place was pretty chill around 7:30pm. This is the way. All of that said, there is one big thing the Saratoga location is missing: the absolute glorious aroma of these hoppy monsters being brewed. In Charlton, when you walk in the door, it's like you step into a tropical fruit rain forest of terpines. In New York, TreeHouse Brewing smells like a new restaurant. That's not a bad thing per se, it's just different. This is an outpost. TreeHouse has done a reasonably good job at expanding their operation, and I suppose it's significantly better for them to be in control of their own product instead of handing it off to a distributor. So kudo's to them. Something is definitely gained. But those gains come with very real losses. read more

Tree House has a very spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. On sunny summer days, it's the perfect place to relax while your kids run around freely outside and you enjoy good conversation with family and friends. They're best known for their beer, but since I don't drink alcohol, I can't comment on that. However, I'd heard just as many good things about their pizza, so I decided to give it a try. We ordered the cheese pizza and the Margherita pizza, and both were excellent! The crust was thin and crispy, the flavors were outstanding, and it was light enough that it didn't leave you feeling heavy afterward. There is a single line to order drinks, which can use improvement, but their beers on tap offer an extensive choice for beer lovers. Unexpectedly came across this brewery when we were in Saratoga Springs. Ended up here en route home to NYC. The place is massive and clean - a nice place to unwind on the weekend. There's a lot of outdoor space where kids can also play. Ordered a few beers and some pizza from a pizza shop located in the brewery. Was very impressed with the quality and the tastiness. The pizzas were made fresh. Post drinks and food, we picked up our online order which is located towards the front of the building. Came back to NYC extremely happy with the haul. read more

Tree House Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in Brimfield, Massachusetts in 2011. It was founded by friends Dean Rohan, Nate Lanier and Damien Goudreau. The trio started out as homebrewers around 2008 and would make beer in Lanier's kitchen. They opened their brewery in a small red barn on a 2.7 acre farm in Brimfield. They named it "Tree House" after an actual tree house that sat on the property. The partners sold beer strictly via growler fills and their popularity grew at an alarming rate simply by word of mouth. Following some zoning disputes, Tree House moved to a large red shed on Koran Farm (owned by the family of one of the founders) in nearby Monson in December 2013. In June 2015, they opened a larger facility across the street which expanded their capacity six-fold and they now had a canning line. In May 2017, Tree House opened a 53,000 square foot state-of-the-art brewing facility in Charlton. The Monson facility closed to the public but continued to be used as their barrel-aging facility. In addition to their home base in Charlton, Tree House now has secondary locations in South Deerfield, Sandwich (Cape Cod), Tewksbury, Boston, Saratoga (NY), and a farm and cidery in Woodstock (CT). In addition to making beer and cider, they also now have pizza, distillery and coffee roastery operations as well as a performance venue. My family and I recently visited Tree House's Saratoga Springs Taproom to celebrate my 42nd birthday. This location opened to the public in March 2025. It's just a 5 minute drive away from the Saratoga Race Course. We were so impressed with this location! The 20,000-sq-ft facility features a large bar, pizza kitchen, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and two regulation bocce courts. For food, we ordered and shared a "Half & Half Pie" (house tomato sauce, house cheese blend, Italian herbs, olive oil, pepperoni), a "Vodka Pie" (House Vodka Sauce made with Tree House's House Vodka, fior di latte, parmesan), and an order of "Garlic Knots" (scratch-made, cold-fermented dough knots oven-charred to perfection and tossed in house garlic sauce w/ toasted garlic, Pecorino Romano, butter & pesto oil). The latter are exclusive to the Saratoga location. To wash down the pizza, I ordered delicious draught pours of "CCCreamsicleee" (New England IPA), "Very Green Passionfruit" (Double New England IPA), and my wife had a "Transfusion" cocktail. During our visit, we also played a game of bocce and had a blast! Customers can sign out a set of bocce balls from the gift shop and then have a court to themselves for an hour. Went on an April Saturday afternoon and this place was PACKED. We're talking hundreds of people packed, so good to see that they're obviously doing well. Unfortunately, that also meant we had to wait a solid 20 minutes in line for our first beer. I can't help but think carrying over the multiple bar concept from Charlton would help spread folks out and move things along. Love the decor of the place, modern and clean but also cozy and woodsy. The outdoor area is kinda just an empty field & can't compare to Charlton on views. The pizza was huge, delicious, and an unexpected good value at $23. read more

Cool atmosphere with trees inside and an indoor fire pit. It's very disappointing that they don't do flights as there are so many beers to sample. The smallest pour available is 8oz. I tried two brews in 8oz: the Bright Galaxy and the Transcendental. The Bright Galaxy was great with lots of pineapple flavor but we were not impressed with the Transcendental. My fiancé opted for an Old Fashioned, which he found overly sweet. Still, fun to try a new spot. This place would be so much better if they had flights! Why no flights? Great outdoor space is probably lovely in the summer but a total nonstarter in January. Also, this brewery is definitely not 21 plus. Prepare yourself for a lot of kids. The second you walk in, you're immediately hit with the incredible smell of pizza and garlic bread.... like, smacked in the face in the best way possible. It instantly makes you hungry. I'm currently gluten-free, so I was definitely feeling a little jealous because everything looked and smelled amazing. The space itself is huge but somehow still feels cozy. The ambiance is calming and relaxing, not chaotic like some large breweries can feel. There's a beautiful big fireplace right in the middle of the room that really anchors the space and gives it that warm, inviting vibe. It's the kind of place you could easily spend hours just hanging out. My group tried a variety of beers and some cocktails, and everyone seemed really happy with their drinks. Even though I wasn't drinking alcohol, I got the mojito mocktail and it was delicious, super refreshing, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. I really appreciate when places put thought into their non-alcoholic options instead of making them feel like an afterthought. So getting to the car and front doors in a wheelchair, carrying cake, presents, and a few snacks, was tricky. Tucked right across the road from the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) in Saratoga Springs, this venue has mastered the art of the summer hangout. Having visited during the quiet early summer and again during the peak of track season, I am thoroughly impressed by how gracefully this massive space adapts to its crowd. The venue itself is stunning, boasting expansive indoor seating alongside a sprawling outdoor area complete with covered pavilions, sunny green spaces, yard games, picnic tables, fire pits, and Adirondack chairs. It is completely family-friendly, giving children plenty of room to safely play while adults relax. On our most recent visit for a birthday celebration, the beautiful weather and a nearby SPAC concert brought out hundreds of patrons. Despite the crowd, the customer service was spectacular. The staff seamlessly accommodated our large group as friends arrived and departed, cheerfully allowing us to rearrange seating to fit our needs. They were getting slammed, yet they kept the venue meticulously clean and served everyone with a smile. The food and drink options are stellar. They offer a fantastic variety of house-brewed beers and craft cocktails featuring their own distilled spirits (we fell in love with their unique pickle gin on our first trip). To eat, their pizzas are incredibly tasty and serve as the perfect accompaniment to the drinks. Perhaps the most impressive detail of the entire experience was the execution: despite hundreds of guests on the property, every beverage was served in proper glassware. The place is beautiful outside many tables and groups of Adirondack chairs and fire pits and a large number of outdoor heaters. It's self serve so you go inside order your drinks at one area and your "food" at another. My friend doesn't drink and asked for a Diet Pepsi all they had was seltzer or water the gentleman told me. I asked about a drink they served previously and he knew nothing about it. I have no problem with that but ask someone don't just shrug your shoulders. Another bartender told me it's not on the menu right now. My drink was a seltzer that tasted vaguely like a margarita and was good. The only food they have is garlic knots and pizza. If that's all you serve I would make sure it's the best damn pizza. It is not. It was edible but the crust was so soggy it had to be eaten with a fork. Margarita pizza had no tomatoes on it and very little cheese. My rule, every slice should have the three key ingredients. You can't buy slices only full pizzas so good luck if only two of you are there. My other problem is the service. No drink menus on tables or listed where tables are so everyone needs to go up to the front. It took a while to get drinks and then back in another line for pizza after I took a pic of the menu from the wall. They text you when it's ready. Maybe it's me but in a place with a lot of alcohol flowing I would expect more food offerings. Great place to sit outside try the seltzers and beers but maybe bring a few snacks in your pocket. For me it's a lot of running around to get stuff and not very relaxing. I will try again, maybe I got a new server who should have helped us more. I was blown away by the size and ambiance. Huge parking lot and plenty of outdoor seatings. I went there on a cold night so they had the outdoor heaters on. As soon as you enter, you can find big tables that look like a receptionist area with multiple beer taps, with big logo of the brewery. I read the beer list in their website and they have a very narrative description almost poetic for each beer. One beer that intrigued me was the coquito stout as it has chocolate, coffee, and coconut notes. The woman who helped me was super friendly with big smile. She let me taste a couple of beer because they don't offer beer flights. I sampled the coquito stout and I right away ordered it. It is sweet and chocolatey with subtle hints of coconut. It's like a dessert. Huge, classy, and upscale indoor seatings. It has the nuance of a ski lodge. Low and slightly reclined well-cushioned chairs. Very relaxing. For big groups, there are benches with long tables. To order beer to go, you can utilize the kiosks near the gift shop. Please be aware that you won't be able to order at the kiosks after 9:30 PM. Fortunately, the gentleman at the beer pick up counter was very helpful. We explained that it's our first time and came out of town. He went above and beyond to fulfill our orders. Besides beer, you can also take home some liquor that's are beautifully displayed in the store. There's a huge fire place in the middle of the building. Killer brewing house, tons of outdoor seating & yard games. The beers were fantastic, my favorite was the Trail Citra. But what separates this place from other brewing companies was the service. You walk up to the tap wall and there's someone there to greet you, listen to the kind of beer you're looking to drink, then offer their recommendations in great detail. I was so impressed. People have talked about TreeHouse like it is Mecca. With one now open in Saratoga Springs, we decided to visit. It is HUGE! There is a ton of outside seating and a large seating area inside. The atmosphere is comfortable, but not homey like your favorite pub. To order a beer, you need to get in line. This is likely efficient, but it feels odd. I associate that kind of service with fast food and that is not what TreeHouse is. The servers will put a band on your wrist to signal that you're old enough to drink. That also felt odd, but perhaps given the size of the brewery, they do this to ensure that no one under 21 is being given a beer. Do they actually roam the grounds and check? They have an extensive beer and drink menu. The beers are good, but not the best we've had. The fact that they had several stouts on tap was a plus. We order a white pizza (thin crust) and it was outstanding. They only make 18" pizzas which is more than 2 normal people can eat. Thankfully there are to-go boxes. The interior space is comfortable and not overly loud. However, it lacks character and isn't as welcoming as your favorite pub/bar. I might compare it to some of the new rest stops on the Thruway. Nice seating, etc., but not necessarily a place where you'd hang out for hours. (However, I could see hanging out in TreeHouse's exterior areas.) There is no table service, which is a negative....because you really don't interact with a lot of the staff. No one is walking around checking on things and being hospitable. Will I visit again? Yes because I want to experience the outdoor areas. However, I like Whitman Brewing in Saratoga Springs and Speckled Pig in Ballston Spa and think they are better breweries and spaces, and with more extensive pizza selections. Day 2: lousy weather so we came back to grab something to drink, and sit and read. Turns out their coffees are canned cold brews. I am torn. Can there be half stars? Yes, the beers are fantastic. No one is arguing their beer is elite. But honestly the place was mobbed and it felt like a giant tourist attraction similar to a very busy food court. The vibe was strange. You show ID then get a bracelet - and wait in a big line to order. It does move fast due to the massive amounts of taps they have - and employees. But you can't see the draft list until you are close. So it's a bit rushed at the last second, unless you have a favorite beer you want to order. Lots of picnic tables inside and chairs outside. You also have the option to order pizza and wait in that separate line. The pizza: everyone is raving about it but idk why. It looked very burnt. People around us had slices that were not even finished. They have a section up front that is a liquor storefront and also separate merch storefront. Second, you can buy varieties that are not available on tap. Today I tried the Evolution of Citra Part 6, a Triple IPA that tasted even stronger than its 11% and had the combination of dank, citrus and chewiness I love in an IPA. Also had VeryGreen and Cataclysmic which are available inside. Would not turn any of these down and will continue to investigate the huge range of IPAs while avoiding those that may be overly fruity and milkshake-like. The ordering operation itself could not be easier. Order and pay online and show up at the very specific designated time. Immediately make a left turn when you enter the lot (going straight takes you to the tasting room parking lot), choose a numbered slot, and click "I'm here" on your phone, Your order will be happily delivered to your vehicle in a couple of minutes. Like every treehouse brewery, the Saratoga Springs location is absolutely stunning! Its large interior can fit many guests and the food is incredible. My favorite so far is the hot honey pepperoni pizza; but I have also tried the margarita and vodka options. The garlic knots are an absolute necessity, in all their buttery, herby, glory. I love that you can also get beer, merch, dry goods, and even COFFEE to go! I don't ever leave without picking up some of their seasonal lattes. But they also have coffee beans, spirits, and cocktail mixers. A new addition, I believe this year; is their non alcoholic seltzers. While delighted at a Treehouse opening near my (summer) hood, I was a bit trepidatious about this spot based on some things I had heard and reviews I had read. I kind of hate bars that employ a single line, as if in a supermarket--if bellying up is good enough in Irish Pubs, it should be do everywhere. Overall I was fearing a mechanical and corporate experience, but somehow Treehouse pulls it off well. It is gleaming and sleek and clean inside, but it's well-designed, with friendly staff. Line didn't seem bad--we did go on a Tuesday so no track crowd or SPAC concert crowds to deal with. Ample indoor seating and a great outdoor area with bocce courts and fire pits and Adirondack chairs and everything you could want to enjoy your beer in a bucolic setting. Beer selection on tap is wonderfully diverse across styles. Unfortunately, the take home options were less so, and skewed more heavily to their (admittedly excellent) IPAs. Food options are limited to pizza and garlic knots--whole pies only, which is a bit frustrating if you're only here in a duo, as we were--we split a couple of orders of knots, which were tasty, but still felt the limited nature of our food options. Overall it's a bit too large and lacks a home-y, casual vibe that is probably my brewery platonic ideal. But I'm not sure that's realistic for such a phenom of a beer brand. They did a nice job with this outpost and, I mean, we have Treehouse beer easily accessible and available upstate--hot damn! read more

This is likely a beer lover's paradise. But there are limitations. You come here to try and hopefully enjoy choosing from a very large selection of beers on draft (34) or to purchase canned beers to take home. Most of the beers have a higher alcohol content (abv) above 6% so you'll want to be sure to have something to eat while you're drinking. The only food they currently serve is three styles of pizza (cheese $3.50; pepperoni $3.97; vodka $3.74) by the slice. They say that more food is to come, but a review of the food menu at their other locations shows only one that also serves local cheese and meats for a charcuterie. The architecture of the tap room is impressive, and they have put down a significant amount of sod around the outdoor structures so there is plenty of space outdoors for children and adults to probably play games. They also sell non-alcoholic beverages for imbibers of all ages. You might not be able to follow the activity of your favorite sports team as none of the TVs in the Tap Room were tuned to stations. They instead showed a geographical image of the Catskill Mountains. Everything is self-serve. You stand in line to place your order for drinks from available bartenders who are reasonably knowledgeable about the various brews. You also stand in line to purchase your slices of pizza. A sign implies there is a limit of two slices per person but that might only be enforced when they are busy. Ready-folded boxes large enough to hold a whole pizza can be seen stacked above the pies from which they sell the slices. OK, our personal experience was on a beautiful Monday at the end of April with temperatures in the low 70s at 6PM. Most everyone was sitting outside under a pavilion or pergola. We decided to sit inside the mostly empty tap room. I was interested in the difference between two milk stouts, Single Shot (6.4 abv) and All That Is... (6.5 abv). I was given a sample of each to taste and while enjoying both very much I finally decided on Single Shot ($9). My wife was initially interested in an IPA, of which they had many, but also recalled seeing a traditional Altbier on the menu. After sampling the Green IPA (7.5 abv) and the At Ease Altbier (5.4 abv) she chose the Altbier ($9). Both of our beers were very enjoyable. We both thought the pizza was nothing to be excited about. The most flavorful was the slice with its vodka sauce. It's a thin crust pizza slightly thicker than New York Style with leopard spots on the bottom. If you are lucky enough to get a slice from a pie just out of the oven it will be nice and hot, otherwise they don't reheat a slice before serving it to you. A rather odd observation, when paying for either the beers or the pizza slices I did not notice an opportunity to apply a tip for the staff's service. Final tip for drivers: Keep in mind that they are located on a section of route 9 that has a speed limit of 55 and is often a favorite location for State Police observing the flow of traffic. read more

Huge beautiful brewery. Lots of spots to hang out. Great outdoor space. Always a super long line to order drinks however. We also found the staff to be grumpy, maybe a little overwhelmed by the crowd. read more

This place is amazing. We were in town for a weekend getaway from Syracuse and after having been to some of the treehouse breweries in Syracuse we decided to check it out. First off it is huge with a ton of outdoor space and place for kids and dogs to play. The food inside is pizza and garlic knots. While the pizza looked amazing we weren't hungry enough for how big they were so we got some garlic knots and they were amazing. The whole set up is really streamlined with multiple pourers ready to take your order or let you try a drink. There is plenty of parking and even if you are not a big drinker it is a great venue to just hang out at with friends. read more

A rad addition to Saratoga! The space is massive and gorgeous, both indoors and outdoors. They have plenty of seating and fire pits to keep the crowds coming year round. They have a huge range of beers and everything we tried was spot on. Where they can use improvements is the operations. The beer line was very slow because there were only two bartenders and they were serving as well as taking care of misc cleaning tasks. People are not going to get multiple rounds of beer if they have to wait 20 minutes each time. There is a separate food line for pizza and garlic knots. Since the menu is simple, they could digitize the ordering process so you don't have to wait in line again. The pepperoni pizza was tasty, albeit a tad too salty. Nevertheless, we'll be back as good times are to be had here. read more

Treehouse brewing is one of the preeminent beers in the northeast at the moment. They've got a great range of types of beer from Pilsner to stout, but they really excel at double IPAs. Their Saratoga location just opened up and is gorgeous. The main focus is a giant fireplace in the middle of the tap room, Plenty of tables set up to accommodate groups of all sizes. There's plenty of parking and they look like they'll have outdoor games in the warmer months. You can order beers to go or even pizza there's a retail shop inside if you want to buy their merchandise or some distilled beverages. Right now, beers are priced at nine dollars each. Pour sizes range from 10-18oz depending on your choice. It's a very comfortable space that feels like hanging out at a well to-do friends for a party. I'll be back again and again. read more

I was very excited to visit TreeHouse as I heard good things about the beer and pizza. Unfortunately I found it to be a hot mess with strange rules, poorly trained staff, and a lousy attitude. We were a large group, and figured it would be ideal. The week prior my friends went and were told that they could only order entire pizza pies, and not slices. We figured that was fine: we would order three for our group. But after waiting in a VERY long line, we were told that they only sell individual slices on the weekend. And for the beer there was a separate line, which was even longer. I saw a third line, which was for beer in cans, rather than draft. After waiting in that line, I was told that the cans were only for take out, and that if we tried to drink them inside or outside of TreeHouse, we would be escorted out and banned for life (yeah, they really are not hospitable). This was very disappointing as it is a very attractive place. Sadly, they employ clueless and unfriendly people, and have a slew of bizarre rules. Save your $$s and go elsewhere. read more

Fantastic pizza, garlic knots and beer! All the offerings here are all top quality. It's easy to pickup both inside and at the drive up option. While the line can get long at the beer it moves very quickly. The inside is like being inside a fancy ski lodge and the outside has nice chairs, fire pits and covered areas. Plenty of places to sit and park even when it's pretty busy. Some of the best pizza in the capital region easily! read more
