Ava was our server - very welcoming and friendly and was patient enough to wait the extra few minutes to take our order. We got a few shareable dishes, but their Green Goddess Salad ($15.95) was delicious and a pretty generous portion for two adults to share (even without protein)! The table enjoyed some classic Mexican cocktails and we have a pleasant experience during our stay here. Service was quick, and food arrived within 15-mins of placing the order. Cantina was recommended to me by a colleague that knew i was going to be in the area. It was in my top favorite dining experiences in Saratoga Springs. I have to say the Ambiance is really a key attraction here. I enjoyed the Chicken Chimichanga Crispy flour tortilla with chicken tinga, queso blanco, lettuce, onion, salsa verde, crema, cotija cheese, cilantro ($23.95). It was served with Rice and Black Beans and every bite was delicious. The only complaints was the salsa was not that flavorful and had no heat, but added some hot sauce and fixed it right up. So I got together with some pals for a birthday shindig and let me tell you it was a real fiesta! I had a strawberry margarita mocktail that was so delicious it made me want to sing along to mariachi music and the shrimp tacos were amazing but beware they're spicy with a capital S! Not your traditional Mexican spot! I loved the layout of the restaurant, it had such a city vibe. Starting off with drinks - I had a mojito and it was probably the worst mojito I've had. For this to be a Mexican restaurant I feel drinks that go on theme need to be on point. The mojito tasted like pure lime. It was just one tone. Food - amazing!!!! I tried the "coco camarones" (coconut shrimp) and it was one of the best appetizers I've had! We looked at the menu and immediately noticed significant changes, mostly to the prices. What was once an affordably priced joint has now become a rather expensive dining experience. Prices seem to be up 30% over what they were just months ago. For example, a salad with shrimp is now $25.95. Chicken fajitas are now $24.95. i ordered kids nachos add birria and black beans. the meal came out super dry and with no seasonings. but not only that but their host has hearing problems and she didn't say anything about it. i tell her what my name is but she still butchers it and doesn't apologize. the chips and guac i ordered super stale too but i ordered i didn't get my food until closer to closing and even though i ordered at 747pm. the next day i came in to tell them how the chips were stale and the meat was so dry it tasted like it was frost bitten meat that was defrosted. they say her name is Steph I'm not sure goes sure we will remake it for ya. then comes back and hands me the food and says my hiring manager says we cant remake it because it was from last night and you ate half of it. read more

We came for July 4th and ate on the 3rd. We've eating here before a few times and really liked it. Last night was not great. There were 3 tables outside empty, and we asked to sit at a specific one . The hostess said the one we asked for, and she said was resevered but they claim 6 cannot reserve outside. The salsa and appetizers were good. We got the jalapeños and carrots. Our margaritas were basically juice and our entrees were tasteless. Our server Oliva wad great. It was a let down of dinning for our vacation. Went for a drink here this past Saturday, which was Belmont Stakes event at Saratoga Racetrack. I thought it would be hard to get a seat on the roof top bar but no crowds at all. Everyone was at the racetrack! I did not have any food just a frozen margarita and it was delicious. On a hot roof top day it was the perfect cocktail. Tuna was ice cold- if your menu say "seared" sear it fresh and serve NOT sear 10 pounds last week, throw in the cooler and serve it cold. Why? Because cold tacos are not appealing.
