You're not going to get a better breakfast in the Outerbanks. The line forming before they open is a testament to the quality of the food. Luckily the line moved pretty fast and they had a ton of seating open. I was so amazed by the menu, they had so many unique options that all sounded delicious. My husband got the pimento biscuit sandwich and it was SO good. I'm dying to go back to Duck so I can eat here again!

Biscuit is homemade and to perfection! Bacon I'd 1/4 inch thick....insane! So delicious! Not much of a coffee fan here but their breakfast, bar none, best in the area and sure to please. Outside seating in the courtyard. Pretty. We showed up after they closed, yet they still served us!!!

Delicious, MASSIVE biscuit sandwiches? Yes please. This place is a gem in Duck that we were lucky enough to try on our way in to Corolla for the week. There was definitely a line but it moved quick, and service was fast and friendly. I got the Southern biscuit with fried green tomatoes and pimento, and it was one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. My wife got the bacon egg avocado and cheese biscuit and also loved it. Coffee was perfectly good as well. We ate outside and food was delivered quickly. I will be craving these biscuits all year.

Fabulous brunch spot! Took about 20 minutes to order and another 20 to get our food. There was an awesome outdoor mimosa and other beverages at a bar area outside. This made the wait more enjoyable. As did the very good acoustic guitar playing singer! Love live music in a nice outdoor setting! Food was fantastic. Loved the crab cake and egg biscuit sandwich. It had a tamarind aioli that should have helped cut the richness but there was so little of it I asked for a lemon slice to squeeze on it which somehow they had no lemon? I ended up adding some Texas Pete' s hot sauce and that helped a lot. The parfait was not remotely a parfait. It was a very genius heap of yogurt with a small mountain of yummy granola and a ton of strawberries and blueberries. Nice drizzle of honey over the top as well. I don't know why it's called a parfait because it's a big ol' plate of food. Not a stacked item in a glass. Regardless, very good! We were worried about finding seating but it wasn't a problem at all, even though it seemed crowded.

They serve the biggest biscuits or french toast I have ever seen, and so delicious! The chicken and sausage gravy biscuit, with pickles, was so good, had a tiny kick to it. Friendly staff and great service.

Best biscuits ever! Coffee was also delicious and super cute indoor and outdoor seating. Surrounded by lots of cute shops and under charming trees. A longer wait for food, but that's what you get when it's so good! Will definitely be going back.

I mean COME ON PEOPLE, this is a masterpiece!!!! Grilled biscuit with honey

First of all, these are the best biscuits in the world, full stop. Second, my partner and I always come here when we visit Duck, but they've recently upped their chicken biscuit game as my partner claims they have surpassed chick fil an and all other competitors. Thick, juicy, and deliciously seasoned with honey. Bonus points for the grilled biscuit to go. I'm a vegetarian and love the huevos rancheros burrito. Even when they're swamped in there, service is always on point. Excellent quality counterculture coffee as well. Don't miss it!

Chicken biscuit is good honey is delicious. Bacon was good also the egg with gouda cheese. Very pricey it was $117 for 4 adults and 2 kids for breakfast. Gravy was not good had a sweet taste definitely not southern gravy. The seating was nice and clean up after yourself. We went to the bookstore after it was really nice.

Food is amazing. I'll be thinking about this place when im back home in Va. I can't wait to come back and try the biscuits. We also bought some muffins for the road. They looked to irresistible to pass up! Coffee is also really great! Went down before I could get a picture lol.

My Hendrick's Gin martini was perfect. However, the Brie and Bacon Oysters hid the oysters to the point where I could barely taste them. The She Crab Soup was so heavy with cream that I could barely taste the crab. My girlfriend did enjoy her Buffalo Chicken Dip. Our second trip came by her family's invitation. Again, I had an excellent martini. This time, I ordered the Mahi Grilled Sandwich, which was a Reuben without the corned beef and sauerkraut. That was really wonderful. The large piece of mahi mahi was tender and delicious. Other family members enjoyed their angus burgers. None of the food arrived at the same time for everyone, including the drinks. The exterior of the place is nice for dining. Although the interior is air conditioned, it has more of a dormitory dining hall feel. The bathrooms could be cleaner as well.

For an appetizer, the Brussel sprouts ($11?) were ordered. They came with a sautéed brown butter, balsamic vinegar, garlic, toasted pine nuts, and parmesan. These were alright. I liked the mix of flavors, mostly the toasted pine nuts and balsamic, but they were not cooked enough. They needed to be a tad crispier. For an entrée, I had the Bayou Cajun redfish ($32?). It came with shrimp, Cajun cream sauce, Pico de Gallo, black beans, and rice. This was a hearty dish. There was a ton of rice and beans that had good flavor with a large red fish filet too. The seasoning and sauce were alright. I thought the sauce needed more of a Cajun flavor to it. I also tried a special that was being offered the night I attended. It was a seafood trio. It consisted of crab meat, scallops, and shrimp with broccolini. It was cooked in a light butter sauce. This was simple and done right. Will I go back? Probably.

Dining extends to 2nd floor, which is where we sat. Nice menu with higher-end choices. The menu says no subs, but some of the entrees come with accouterments for advanced palettes, so I would ask about substitutions (squid ink pasta w/rockfish , for example). The Fish & Chips were among the best I've ever had. I'm very picky about slaw, and this was perfect. More pickly than sweet. We did see young children in a party, but I would not say this is a great family-friendly option.

Again, we waited a bit for his return. He explained the special's and took our drink and appetizer order. It took quite a while for an alcoholic drink to arrive. As a matter of fact, the appetizer showed up first. He apologized and said if it wasn't ready soon, he'd stare at the bartender until it was made. Keep in mind, we were sitting at a high top across from the bar. While I was waiting for my drink, I saw one of the two bartenders come from the bar and take an order at the table that sat a good 10 minutes after us. Note, still no drink. Fast forward to the food. It was great! Everything was prepared well and tasted great. Oh, and yes my drink finally arrived. My biggest issue with this place is the credit card fee. I understand seeing this in some places, but when you charge $36 bucks for a double shot of bourbon, there shouldn't be an additional fee applied! To be fair to the server, he did stay on top of things, once we received everything, and he was a nice guy.

I would have also liked to have rated this place higher but I can't in good faith do that. The resort is dated. The staff are all very nice but this is a resort standard. Nothing was exceptional or grand. It was all very overpriced for what you ended up with. My discounted rate should have been the normal rate. There is no way I would ever stay at this place at their listed normal rate. You'd have to be a fool. Honestly, You would be better off just renting a house for the price because the amenities are not worth it in this specific case. The food was mid but at arena prices. 20$ for a beer, 24$ for a burger, 4$ for an iced tea.. after the first day we just went into town for food. It ended up being much better economically and quality wise. The beach behind the resort is nothing remarkable. In fact it's sloped and awkwardly angled. The surrounding area itself is immaculate and lush with beauty and there are loads of things to do. It's definitely a family place and not an anything else kind of place so don't get any ideas. Kind of boring honestly, not really much going on. You really do have to make your own adventures. The complimentary bikes you can check out are all falling apart. The walls were so thin I could hear the conversations of the people in the room next to me. The power went out multiple times the day I was checking out which complicated things further including trying to get WiFi as well as the fact that they charged me for a latte that I never ordered and they had to remove it from my final bill. Good thing I checked. I am talking specifically about the resort and not the area itself. Parking was a free for all and there is no valet. If you leave your spot during the day good luck trying to get another one. If this place put some TLC into it they could turn it around very quickly.
