    Gifts for our anniversary

We stayed at the Treehouse Lodge one weekend to celebrate our anniversary. The pet friendly rooms are completely worth the additional fees! The room felt and looked very clean (which I worry about with pet friendly hotels). Definitely would recommend.

Our family stayed in a pavilion room on the Friday night after Labor Day Weekend. While they normally require a 2 night minimum we were granted a one night stay. Room was very comfortable for us. Granted it was my wife & 9 year old along with me & my 78 year old mother there was plenty of room for us to sleep. I took the pull-out while my mother was on the cot. As you can tell from the pictures online the place is oozing with charm. The bathroom is probably the best I've experienced in travel. Awesome shower with great pressure & roomy. Plus there's a closet/changing space too. Great complimentary toiletries too! Other than the room being a little pricey the musty smell is the only thing keeping me from granting Treehouse Lodge 5 stars. It's a short drive to Woods Hole & Falmouth but not walkable IMO. Staff were very friendly & accommodating. I'm still not sure why our room didn't have a TV but we were offered tablets with Netflix if we wanted. We missed out on the s'mores & fire pit because of the rain but that just leaves us one more reason to come back!

Clean, comfortable, quiet, and a very pleasant stay. Staff are welcoming and it is a close walk to nearby food and activities.

As a first timer to Martha's vineyard, the staff really helped give some tips and really made it easy as they sell ferry tickets at the front desk. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. It really is a quaint and charming space. The breakfast in the morning was my favorite, literally home made cooking with many options like their egg casserole, yogurt and fruit, toast with jam, and some local coffee (from Pie in the Sky). The Woods Hole Inn is a great and reliable place to start your trip, highly recommend! Starting with the room: (we were in Quissett) we had a super comfy and plush king size bed with a bathroom on the small side. I'd say the one caveat/warning I have is for light sleepers - since you are a throwing rock's distance away from the ferry, you will likely hear the ferry fog horn each time it leaves the port. The remainder of the building was so cute and quaint with beautiful floors, and the best breakfast. You cannot miss their homemade granola which pairs perfectly with the yogurt. They had different main dishes everyday including quiches, scrambled eggs, and egg bakes, as well as desserts (the cranberry bread was our favorite) and fresh fruit. It was all amazing, and the coffee was solid! Parking was literally right behind the building. You are right in Woods Hole walking distance from several eateries. We didn't get any bikes to explore further but I would recommend looking into this! Above all, I cannot speak highly enough of how kind and helpful all the staff were. Thank you so much for a great stay!

This review is not based on an actual stay, but rather on the booking and customer service experience leading up to my planned visit. I had never been to the Northeast and was excited to plan a trip to Boston and Cape Cod for the Fourth of July holiday. I began planning in April and was particularly looking forward to staying at the newly renovated Shore Haven Inn (formerly Beach Breeze Inn in Falmouth). Based on the photos and marketing materials, the property appeared beautiful, and I booked a four-night stay several months in advance. Two days before my trip, I received a notification from Hotels.com that my reservation had been canceled. This came as a surprise, especially after I had already noticed that the full payment had been charged to my account. With the Fourth of July being one of the busiest travel weeks in Cape Cod, this left me scrambling to find alternative accommodations at the last minute. I contacted the inn directly to understand what had happened. I was informed that the reservation had been canceled because the renovation was not yet complete. While I understand that construction timelines can change, I was disappointed by both the timing of the cancellation and the lack of communication leading up to it. Unfortunately, my experience with customer service was equally disappointing. I was directed back and forth between the inn and Hotels.com regarding my refund. When I contacted the inn again, there appeared to be confusion regarding my payment, and I had to make multiple efforts before the charge was located and refunded. What prompted me to write this review is what I observed after arriving in Cape Cod. Despite the cancellation, I proceeded with my trip and secured one of the few accommodations still available for the holiday weekend. While in Falmouth, I drove by Shore Haven Inn and was surprised by the extent of the unfinished renovation. The property appeared to be far from completion, with visible construction work still underway and building materials on site. Given the condition of the property, I am concerned that reservations were still being accepted and payments processed when it was evident that the inn would not be ready to accommodate guests. Renovation delays happen, but guests deserve timely communication, transparency, and proactive customer service--especially when travel plans are being made months in advance. For anyone considering a future stay, I would recommend confirming directly with the property that renovations have been completed before booking. The inn may ultimately become a wonderful place to stay, but based on my experience, I would be cautious until operations are fully up and running.

My long review....My family has been traveling to Falmouth, MA for over 50 years. Over the decades…read morewe've stayed in rental homes, hotels, resorts, and with family, so I feel like I have a very good sense of what the area has to offer. To be honest, many of the local hotels and motels have left a lot to be desired. The renovated Falmouth Tides has completely changed that and exceeded all of my expectations. I stayed in a ground-floor harbor view room with my three teenage daughters. The room was cozy without ever feeling cramped. There was plenty of space for all of our luggage and clothes, which is saying something with four women sharing one room! The room was very clean. The room included a wet bar with a small refrigerator and microwave, a large flat-screen TV, and a fun record player with a small selection of vinyl records. There isn't a coffee maker in the room, but that wasn't a deal breaker for us especially with the charming Little Blue Truck right outside of our room. Honestly, the only negative I could come up with is the bathroom. It's very tiny and reminded me of a cruise ship bathroom. The shower stall is especially small, so anyone who is claustrophobic may find it a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, I genuinely have no complaints. Our patio overlooked the harbor and had two comfortable chairs. The only thing I'd suggest is adding a small table between them for drinks or snacks. The location is fantastic- just steps from the beach. Like many beaches on this side of Falmouth, it's small and rocky, so definitely pack water shoes if you plan on swimming. The motel makes beach days easy by providing towels, lounge chairs, umbrellas, paddleboards, and bikes. They even have fire pits in the evenings, which made for a perfect way to end the day. There is a rooftop deck with amazing views of Martha's Vineyard and Falmouth Harbor. The harbor and ocean views are beautiful, and the breeze coming off the water is incredible. Another fun touch is the adorable little blue truck on the property serving coffee, pastries, and ice cream. You're also within walking distance of Falmouth Heights and the Island Queen ferry, making it easy to leave the car parked. The parking lot is a little small and tight, but that's typical for many Cape properties and wasn't an issue for us. One thing I especially appreciated was the atmosphere. This isn't a place with loud crowds or the kind of riffraff I've experienced at another Falmouth resort. The beach was peaceful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. It isn't a big scene, and that's exactly what I loved about it. Families with very young children should know there aren't a lot of kid-focused activities on-site, but for couples, adults, or families with older kids and teens, it's perfect. After more than five decades of vacations in Falmouth, I can honestly say this was the best stay we've had in a very long time. The Falmouth Tides is now our favorite place to stay, and we absolutely plan to return. I can't recommend it highly enough.
