The staff is always friendly, and answers questions and explains anything. They have a cute holiday shop and recently a little food truck, I believe maybe doughnuts and hot chocolate to get. They had 7 different types of trees to pick from. We usually go noble firs this year we got a Nordmann, which is a cross between a Noble and something else, which is great. Also said that it retains its needles better than others, so happy to see how that goes. We paid $85 for a little over 6' tree, great deal. Plus a little extra for cutting and having them wrap it for travel.

But aside from being starstruck, I was absolutely floored by the sheer number of incredible bonsai, many of which were absolutely world class. Most of his trees have a very rustic, rough/natural appeal, TONS of deadwood and shari/jin features, none of his junipers are styled in the traditional Japanese or Chinese methods, but I could see many of these trees winning prizes in the national here in the state's. Especially his azaleas and rock plantings. Dan was very down to earth and happy to talk shop endlessly even though we showed up on their day off accidentally (Apple Maps wasn't updated to their winter hours). Despite this, after hearing that I was a true bonsai fanatic his lovely wife allowed me in and let us roam free. Needless to say I was in heaven! We were on our way to a hike so we had to leave after only an hour, but I could easily have spent a full day there. Dan apparently will take offers on his extraordinary trees. Lord knows he has plenty! Had I known that going in I might have looked at them differently, as potential purchases. He had sold a lovely 60-year-old bougainvillea to a woman and was showing her how to train it. All of which cost her less than $600 surprisingly! All things considered, it was truly a wonderful experience and next time I'm in Puget Sound I'm definitely going back (with some money).

It was nice of her to show us around, but she kept on following us. Especially this older gentleman. We still didn't know if they wanted us to leave or if they liked us. You have to pay to go out back and see all the bonsai. Inside is cool. We couldn't see most of it because in some areas it's hard to get around.

I called Sunnycrest with a last-minute request and not only were they able to fulfill it and deliver in the snow, Michelle also called because she was concerned about leaving the flowers on the porch in this weather (20°). She helped me brainstorm a plan to get these flowers delivered in the best shape possible. I'm so grateful for the amazing service. I'm positive other delivery companies would have delivered with the mindset that their job is done once it was on the porch.. those flowers probably would have looked rough! The ladies who ran the place smiled and welcomed us to have tea and cookies and it was so enchanting. It felt like a fairy might fly up and sprinkle us with pixie dust as we wandered through the garden. They gave us plant advice and confirmed that no, mangoes would have a hard time growing in the PNW, so they would help us to talk our mom into maybe planting something native that was just as lovely. The little Radio Flyer type wagons are perfect for towing your purchases/pups/children around as you saunter through the greenery. So glad we got the recommendation to visit and we promise we'll be back as soon as this rainy season lets up.

They planted and helped us improve our home. We paid in advance for soil and converting services that were supposed to be rescheduled, but the jobs were never accomplished. We've been attempting to contact them since, and we finally had to go there ourselves to request a refund. Ken T works there and told us the owner was out, but he'll make sure to contact her about this because he remembers there was no service provided. A month later, we get a message from him indicating he hasn't been able to reach her but would contact her as soon as he does. There's no word. As the months passed, we tried calling them several times, all of which went to voicemail, and we attempted to visit them, but they were only open during their winter hours. After leaving several voicemails at the provided phone number, our contact was blocked. We tried texting again on my partner's phone, and rather than addressing why she blocked us, she simply stated that since Ric died in 2022, we had no claims with them. I cannot imagine that this attitude is professional or welcoming. We bought these items from this company. We did not obtain these services. We hope Dee reads this and understands our frustration. We have purchased and used this company's services for many years, but we were treated this way during our most recent transaction. I hope we can resolve this. I hope none other has to deal with a similar circumstance.
