On three separate occasions I have been impressed at how friendly all the staff is and how willing they are to help fix my problems. (At this point it's only been bike problems but they have been so good I may need to start asking for help on other issues!) I am a newbie and am slowly learning my bike. This past week I tried adjusting my derailer, which hadn't been working right since taking it to a different (closer) bike shop about a month ago. Needless to say I broke it. I brought it to trek because of my previous good experiences and damn, not even 30 minutes later my bike was fixed and running like it had been when I bought it. Now I can't blame my rubbing chain for slowing me down. ;) Thank you for going above and beyond in the way you treat your customers and the service you provide. As a nearing middle-age female, who is new to bikes, I've not been treated with complete respect in other stores. Went in looking for a bike for our daughter for Christmas. The store is good size for a bike shop, and is very well stocked. We were greeted right away and the employee who helped us was very friendly, and knowledgeable. He showed us a few different options for our young daughter at different price points. There was no pressure or pushing us towards something more expensive, and he was very patient. In the end we purchased a bike that should last her for years to come. Sure it is more expensive than a bike from Target or WalMart, but the quality is much better, and it has been assembled by employees who know what they are doing. They also offer free service for the first year after purchasing a bike there. Getting a new bike for my daughter might just convince me to dust off my mountain bike and bring it in to get tuned up for spring. They work on all makes, not just Trek. read more

Have relied on these guys over the years and with a total of 4 bike purchases. Never an issue. Only professional service and support. Even stopped by with a problem shifting one morning, riding, and they quickly determined what was wrong, offered to fix it on the spot and 20 minutes later, I was on my way! Another time, I had stopped by a different shop when I was hearing a noise while riding. They tried selling me a new set of wheels for over $650. I went back to Trek where they troubleshooted the issue, ordered a new hub, and within a week I was riding again for $75. They're fair, knowledgeable, and experienced. Going to transition to tubeless this week. They already explained what I needed, that I could do it myself, but I will learn from them doing it, and asking questions. But when you get a "oh, you don't know anything", and "you are so unaware of the biking scene" look, f you, Mr Manager, I will take my business elsewhere. I asked a simple question to your pos (piece of sh!t) salesBOY and got an up and down look of "oh, YOU'RE not a biker", and then he proceeds to lead me out the door while he's answering my question...opens the door, and says "have a nice day", while he steps back into the store. Free bike inspection saved me from pitching my very old, basic level and highly neglected mountain bike for an equally basic big box cheapie. I expected an upsell recommendation to their $69 basic tuneup to get my bike back up to riding condition and frankly it's not even worth that much. I am new to town. Went to Trek (because I have a Trek bike) to get a tune up last fall. I assumed it needed pretty much everything, including breaks. They told me that the breaks didn't need replacing but needed a good cleaning. They fixed and adjusted what was needed and didn't try to talk me into anything that wasn't necessary. Man, big thumbs up to this shop. The fellas there know bikes, and they are in the business of helping. I brought in a bike that need just a simple fix. The associate (named Alexander I believe) laid out my options, fiddled around and fixed my bike up with a twist of a retaining nut. This bike store is so unreliable in terms of their service. Here is what happened, my girlfriend and I went in last Monday April 24th knowing exactly what kind of bike we want. We were told by Lowell, that there is only 2 of that bike in that specific size left in the country. And we knew coming in that we needed to get it that day before it runs out. So we put a 20% of down payment so they can get the order started and secure the bike. We were also told that the bike should be here the following Thursday, the 27th. So I called back on Thursday and was told by Lowell that the bike isn't there yet, try to call again Friday the 28th. I decided not to call until the next monday may 1st because I was busy. I Called in Monday and the bike isn't there yet. So they checked the status and Lowell from TREK Omaha called me around 4.30pm and left me a voicemail saying that the bike is out of stock and currently back ordered. And they don't know when they're gonna get it again. I was furious so I called the trek store this morning of Tuesday, may 2nd to find out what's really going on. I spoke to Nick over at TREK, and he told me that the particular TREK store put the order in on Wednesday the 26th! So they had 2 bikes left on Monday and even after putting a 20% down payment did not secure the bike because they apparently did not put the order in until 2 days later, and the bikes were gone! And i found it from trek corporate that they have more coming in next Monday may 8th, so Lowell did not even bother to try to call TREK company to find out when the next shipment is coming. Very disappointed! Bike rack, another local bike store in town has so much better service and they are much more reliable. Don't go to this store, you're going to be disappointed! Update: I talked to Trek district manager, his name is Asif Azhar and he handled the issues professionally. He has spoken to the team members involved and apologized on behalf of them. I was compensated for the trouble and I might give this bike store another chance in the future. read more

I love the Trek Store. They have cool people in there who know bikes and like to talk about them, sell them, and work on them. We bought my wife's bike there 2 years ago during their annual accessory sale, where you get 20% of the value of the bike you buy in free accessories. We love it. They will do adjustments on her bike within just a few minutes when we take it in. They have a good selection, a little smaller selection of clothing - but a solid selection of shoes, socks, helmets and accessories. This is a store that really seems to promote a cycling lifestyle, getting around town on a bike instead of a car. If you are looking at a new bike, I'd check here for sure. read more

I rented a bike for my triathlon as I was in town for the weekend for the Age Group Nationals Triathlon competition. I had a fabulous experience with Scott. I reserved a bike ahead of time and told him I'd bring my own pedals. When I arrived, he put my pedals on the bike, fitted me, let me go for a 20 min. test ride, then adjusted the bike some more. He dropped the bike off at Levi-Carter park for me (the race site) the day before the race and also offered to come pick it up after the race, at no additional charge. Excellent customer service! The place is run to sell product above customer satisfaction. They only adjust the bike you buy for a year after purchase, and those adjustments are half ass at best. I've had to take it to Olympia Cycle numerous times to readjust my bike after bringing it there. Recently, I brought the bike in for my yearly tuneup. They made me show them the receipt of purchase, but were busy. I left it overnight and came back to pick it up the next day. On the ride home, I realized they hadn't done a thing to it! The only reason they got a 2 instead of a 1 for a rating is because I got a nice bike for a reasonable price. If you can get a good deal and know how to adjust a bike yourself or are ok paying somewhere else to make the adjustments they are unable to do properly, then go for it. read more

First class service. I was having some serious issues with my gear shifts, not to mention I needed to get a service on my trek bike. I purchased my bike from the shop a few years back and had only been in the store on one occasion since my original stop. I was helped in the service areas by a gentlemen named Turbo. He spent a good 30 minutes on my bike right then and there. All the issues I had with the bike were instantly fixed and he even spent the time briefly making adjustments and some other alterations to the bike. Certainly this may have been his job, but he provided some serious TLC. Taking the time to help a customer and provide such good care was something I have not experienced in a while. Extremely satisfied with his services, I was pretty much inspired to go on a ride once I got home that evening. I have owned a 2012 Trek Mamba since 6/17/12. In a normal, single-track, trail ride situation, the back rim bent beyond repair on 8/16/13. I took my bike to the Omaha Trek Store on 8/17/13. I did not know Trek's warranty covered rims for two years at that time. Spoke to Scott, told him the story, he looked at it, said he would talk to the "warranty rep" and let me know on Monday. He said he believed that something would be done to help me. Monday came and went; no call. I called the Omaha Store on Tues., 8/20. Spoke to Paul (believe it was Matthews). He told me they were too busy to email the "warranty rep" on Monday, but would take care of it and get back to me within a day. I had to call again on Wed. and this time I know I talked to Paul Matthews. He said they did not offer "crash warranty" on rims. Explained to him, as I had to Scott, there was no crash. Paul told me to bring it in so he could take pictures. Told him I had already done that on Sat. He said he couldn't do anything for me if I didn't bring it in, again. At this point I'm frustrated and a bit irritated. When I get there, Scott greeted me and I told him I had spoken with Paul and was not happy. Paul was working on another bike 10 feet away from me at that time. He continued to work on the other bike without saying anything, looking at me or acknowledging me in any way. After about 10 minutes, he decided to move over to my bike, he looked at it, took some pictures, told me that since it wasn't a crash, it would be covered under a "2-year wheel warranty". This time I left the bike with him. Thursday and Friday morning passed and I never heard from Paul. I called him mid-afternoon on Friday. He said he still hadn't heard from the warranty rep and that if he didn't hear from him in the next couple hours it would be Monday before he gets back to me. Monday came and went and I never heard from Paul, so I had to call him again on Tues. afternoon. Again, he told me he hadn't heard from the warranty rep, but that he would call him and get back to me. Again, he did not call back. When I didn't hear from Paul on Tues., 8/27, I went to another local Trek dealer and told them my story. The service manager told me that if I brought the bike and the original receipt to him, he would file a warranty claim for me (even though I didn't buy the bike from them). I walked into the Omaha Trek Store on Wed., 8/28 and asked Paul if he'd heard from the warranty rep. He hesitated and told me he had not, but would call him again right then. Told him not to bother and I wanted my bike back. I delivered my bike with the receipt to the other bike shop that same day. To my complete surprise, Paul from the Trek store called the very next day and said the warranty rep agreed to replace my rim. Told him I'd think about it and get back to him. Why did it take nearly two weeks to get to that point? HORRIBLE SERVICE! My advice; if you want to buy a Trek bike in Omaha, NE, you should buy it from the Bike Rack!! Within a few days of dropping it off at the Bike Rack, Trek honored the warranty and the Bike Rack had me back on the trails. THANKS DYLAN! read more
