Cherie was a delight to work with and she is very creative with a great eye for design. She helped us choose votive holders and linens for our damask themed wedding. She even went above and beyond by finding a damask patterned swatch that matched exactly what we were looking for. Realizing that we were hesitant choosing a 120" tablecloth based solely on a small swatch, she did not pressure us to make a decision. Instead she offered to have a sample tablecloth made so we could come back and see the real deal on an actual table. And her eye for design was right on, the material looked great and really added to the damask theme of our wedding. Pleasanton Rentals had everything we could need for our wedding day, from napkin rings to glassware to tablecloths to an umbrella for our string quartet. I just needed a last minute order of four round tables. when I called on Wednesday they asked me when the party was and I told them on Sunday. They gave me the option of picking up the tables either Friday or Saturday. With Friday being a rainy day, we decided to pick up on Saturday and drop off was on Monday. The tables were in wonderful condition and the entire process from arrival to departure, took approximately five minutes or less. Super quick! I work with Josina at Pleasanton Rentals a few times a year for all of my rental needs. She's always great to work with and is quick to respond to my many questions. My last rental was for draping and I mention to her that I had a busy weekend and would need to pick up early (I had told her that I'd be there by 11am to pick up). She reached out to me shortly after 11 to ask where I was as I was running behind. She let me know that she might be on lunch by the time I got there but she prepared my paperwork and will be ready to go. Super pleased with how everything when with our order for our April 2012 wedding. P-Rents was listed as a preferred vendor and they had just about everything that we needed. Selection: We had a traditional black & white wedding and they have more than enough options to choose from. But don't worry if you need colors - they have a good selection of colors, fabrics, and patterned linens to choose from. I was looking for a more modern cake stand than their selection, so that's the only thing I would change. Pricing: I think pricing is fair, and it is definitely competitive. They were flexible with the order too, allowing changes up until I had my final head count. Service: We worked with Vanessa when we dropped in and she was very helpful. Any combination of linens, menu holders, napkins, etc., I was looking at she would put on a sample table and let me see how it all looked. It was nice to get a feel for how our guest tables would look as a complete set. I also have to say that after the event they are great too! They come to your venue to collect everything which was great - We returned everything except for 1 napkin and 8 napkin rings...not bad. They charge a replacement fee...pretty standard, no big deal. Turns out, our BEST MAN had "borrowed" 6 of the napkin rings to host a formal dinner for us after the wedding and didn't know we had rented them! He was willing to part with his "borrowed" items and I returned them 2 months after the wedding. P-Rents was great, they gladly accepted them back and credited my credit card for the return. I work for a party rental company similar to Pleasanton Rentals in Sacramento and when planning my sisters graduation party in June, I realized I needed more tables. I called Pleasanton Rentals the day of the party and they were very quick and had what I needed. I went to pick up the tables shortly after. They have a very large showroom but it is not organized. Seems like they use it for storage as well. The girls at the front desk were not too friednly, seems like they were very busy (it was graduation weekend- no stars deducted for that). The warehouse staff that helped me pick up the items was a bonehead. My order called for -4- 48" round tables... and a galvanized tub. He slowly rolls over a table. It is CLEARLY a 60" round table NOT a 48" table. I said... "this is a 60" round". He didn't say anything just turned around, walked away and comes back with a 48" table, hands it to us and said ok, bye. Ummmm... wheres our other stuff? Without saying a word he went and got the rest of our order. But really? No sorry or anything? Star deducted... read more

We hired Pleasanton Rentals for our rental needs for our wedding at Nella Terra Cellars in Sunol, CA on September 15th, 2017. We first worked with Devony who later left the company, and then worked primarily with Lacey. Our booking experience was fabulous. We made an appointment to visit their showroom/warehouse and discussed our needs with Devony. She allowed us to walk around the space and look at lots of items while she followed to answer questions and offer some design feedback. She never pressured us to rent anything we didn't need or to rent higher priced items. Once we paid a deposit on our initial order, we went through several changes and iterations of both numbers and items. Every time we called or emailed to make a change, the response was prompt and efficient, asking clarifying questions and always including an updated order/receipt. The prices on our items seemed very competitive and the quality of our rental items (including chivari chairs, chargers, glass water goblets, assorted votives, and table easels) was very good. We never worried about a thing over the weekend of the wedding. The items had been delivered the day before and we could see them being unpacked during our rehearsal. Delivery and pickup were smooth from the venue's standpoint. We would highly recommend Pleasanton Rentals and will absolutely contact them again for future needs. Thank you! read more

Was not that happy of a customer. First of all I didn't feel I got the help I wanted when I was trying to put ideas together. No one was really helpful unless you made an appointment. They also messed up the day before my wedding and did not have enough of what I ordered. Since they messed that up they also didn't even deliver or even try to help deliver for not even having all my items. My aunt called several times to give a mouth fool and they were trying to avoid us when it wasn't even our fault they didn't have enough of what they promised in the contract. Def will not go back. We used Pleasanton Rentals for the chargers for our wedding. We were going to go with their napkins as well. We went to our appointment with them and they showed us options. We spent awhile there and finally settled on the napkins we wanted. Then when they went into their computer to put in our order, they said they only had 2! We were frustrated as we didn't understand why they would have shown us that one as an option. We had to go elsewhere for those. But the chargers were beautiful! Horrible customer service!! I emailed pleasanton rentals late in 2016 to book ceremony arch for my wedding on May 2017. They said that i had a lot of time and I can call them back early 2017. Went here late February to look at ceremony arches, i emailed Devony? and she said I can visit their showroom so we booked an appointment. She was not friendly at all, we were already in their showroom only to find out the arch was not available for my wedding day. I mentioned in my email when the wedding will be. Obviously they were not paying attention. me and 2 of my bridesmaids didn't like the service already, the staff didn't greet us, they didn't smile, seems like they hate their job. We felt like we were being rushed to leave the showroom. But since we were already there, i decided asked about drapery since i will also need it for the wedding reception area, at first, it was reasonably priced, but then the fees started piling up, they're also charging extra $200 for same day takedown. Although this place came highly recommended, I decided to rent my wedding chairs and linens elsewhere as they seem to one of the places that tries to completely take advantage of people planning weddings. First interaction was terrible customer service over the phone with someone who sounded completely annoyed with me asking basic questions. And then I find out If you need your rentals picked up outside of "business hours" (I was asking for Sunday morning, not 3am or something crazy), it's around $300, plus delivery fee, taxes, set up fee and I'm sure there's a few other "you're having a wedding so I'm charging you more fees". Your company must realize most events with rentals take place outside of business hours right? Found another place that was $600 cheaper and not rude. read more

Extremely upset and frustrated with the lack of customer service I received, especially after seeing all the good reviews. After receiving quotes from 3 different companies, I decided that Pleasanton Event Rentals would be the way to go. I requested a quote online and received a prompt reply the next day. Unfortunately, I was told that they didn't have the amount of table cloths I was looking for in that color. I asked Josina, how long in advance she thought we should order since they would need to special order more table cloths to meet our 24 count quota. I don't have my final guest count yet, and since we can't decrease the amount we order once the special order is placed in, I just wanted to ensure it would arrive in time. I told her my wedding day is just under 2 months away. Again, ignoring my original question, she told me it could take anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 months! I asked Josina again, if we would receive these linens on time from special ordering them. She replied by telling me that she was "reassuring me that they were polyester cloths" (which I already knew, and never asked about??) and telling me she won't put in a request until I pay the 25% reservation fee. Obviously, I would like to know if they would arrive on time before placing a non refundable payment down. Re-iterated in a THIRD email about the arrival time and have not heard back from her. My wedding coordinator reached out to Josina too, and she still hasn't gotten back to us. Kind of frustrating, because our wedding is just around the corner, and now we are stressing out about table linens. But after the experience we received from Josina and her lack of customer service, we'll be going with a different company now. I DO NOT recommend this company. read more

This review is a few months past due but very dishonest in their phone skills. I called up and asked about 120 chairs for a Sunday wedding. The person on the phone failed to mention they are closed on Sunday's but proceeded to get all my info and sent me a quote for 120 chairs delivered $831.00 I almost shit my pants! $400 was added on for Sunday delivery because they were closed ( had they told me that I would have told them no thanks) I called another company and out the door $336.00 for 120 chairs delivered! What a joke of a company and very dishonest and before you try to accuse me of a fake review quote number Q27341 written up by Kelley. This place is a gem! I love having a rental place close by that I know will be reliable and worth the quality. I called two weeks before my party and from the receptionist down to the guys that loaded up my truck, they were all super helpful. I called in a small order, 4 long tables and 32 chairs, and 2 round tables. It was for my backyard party so I didn't need too much. The great thing is that no order is too small. A lot of places have a min. order that is just not practical. When I called, I asked if my truck would be able to hold all of these tables and chairs and the girl took the time to ask the guys that loaded their trucks if they think the dimensions would work. They said yes, so I saved on delivery. When I got there to pick up the order, it was an easy 5 min process of looking me up in the system, taking the slip to the guys and they loaded everything. This I appreciated because I was 30 weeks pregnant at the time! One of the wonderful thing is that they will let you keep things over the weekend and only charge you the price for a one day rental. I picked up Friday afternoon, had my party Saturday and returned on Monday. As long as you get it to them before they close, that's all they ask. I only rented the tables and chairs, but from their showroom they have a vast selection of linens, plates, utensils and some decor. I know whenever we have a big party, this is my go to place for rentals. read more
